Grilled chicken and shrimp with veggies. Cooked well and tender.
    KJ D.

I had the grilled chicken with grilled shrimp and carrots and corn with sweet tea and lemonade it was DELICIOUS The service was attentive, friendly and talkative the restaurant is comfortable for large crowds, booths are wide enough for larger size folks The noise level was good enough that you didn't have to yell to talk to your friends with you. Overall for my 1st visit ever, I was satisfied and will return. Just wish they had more veggies without pork added to them for those that are allergic. I really wanted some green beans ‍ and sauces without bourbon in them.

Made a trip before IKEA due to being really hungry. I knew this was gonna hit the spot immediately seated. This was midday had a great time. Our server was really patient with us and suggested the cheddar bites which were really great he was such a nice fella considerate over everyone needs even conversational. We also had funny conversations with our neighbors plus server really felt a little like home.

I'm giving Cheddars a 5 star review because of the quality of their food, the price point for what you get and the service that I received at this location. I've been several times to this location because it is close to my daughter's home. We were looking for something different than the usual but still a sit down meal. What I like about cheddars is their menu is so extensive. There are so many options to choose from. usually when I like something at a restaurant, I tend to keep getting the same thing over and over but here they have such an extensive menu that I've tried different options each time. Everything I've had is cooked perfectly, and the portions are very generous for the price point. Cheddars offers a large dining area so it's easy to be seated in the service is always good. I highly recommend this cheddars if you're looking for a great sit down, family meal.

Daddy daughter date with my youngest and her favorite restaurant is cheddar's. So we stopped in for a lunch time splurge on this frigid Thursday. The exterior vestibule was heated and a welcomed relief from the cold. The hostess was pleasant as she promptly sat us in the main lobby. Lunch time was noisy for a relatively slow afternoon. Napkins, while I assume were freshly laundered were filled with lint debris. With no rush we decided on an appetizer before driving into our entrees. Started with complimentary honey butter croissants and the trio sampler. Little one went with the bacon cheeseburger and I tried the half rack of ribs. The honey butter croissants were as advertised. The chicken tenders of the sampler were flaky and crispy, the meat juicy and tender but seasoning was absent. Spinach dip wasn't anything to write home about and the queso was watery. Chips were fresh. Bacon cheeseburger was good. Nothing spectacular, but a genuinely good burger. Ribs were cooked well; falling off the bone, tender excellently cooked. All the flavor was in the sauce itself which was delicious. Our waitress, I believe her name was Derica, was excellent. All in all, an enjoyable visit.

The service was very quick and the server was helpful. They give you croissants to share and I started with a water. Then I got some vegetables to eat and trying the meatloaf that we can share.

Where to start... We called Cheddar's with two simple questions: do you have outdoor seating and are dogs allowed on it? Somehow that turned into a phone call where I spoke with 3 people before receiving a yes and yes to both questions. Under the belief that that was true, we showed up with our dog looking to sit on the patio and when we arrived we were told there's no server for the outdoor patio. You have a 10+ table patio during the summer and don't have a server for it? Instead, we were told to speak with the bartenders and ask them if they could run it. Spoiler alert, they could and were far more friendly. I'm not sure what's going on with the hosts and servers in the front but you may want to figure some things out because less patient people would have left at that point. More about the restaurant: parking is good, setting is okay, service outside of the initial interaction was good. For food we ordered the Monte Cristo, Dijon Chicken & Mushrooms, Kid's Alfredo pasta, a strawberry lemonade, and raspberry lemonade (free refills). Before any of that came out we were given some rolls with glazing on them which was pretty good. Our food took a bit to come out but when it did it was good. The Monte Cristo is delicious but can probably clog an artery or two on the way down. Crispy, savory, and sweet with the jam. The dijon chicken was good, a good mix of savory and bold from the mustard and mushrooms and a nice bed of rice underneath. The sides of broccoli cheese casserole and mashed potatoes were olay though, nothing too great. Lastly, the alfredo pasta was good. A simple dish that they executed well, cheesy and the texture to the pasta good as well. As for the lemonades, they were good but not too standout from the rest of the meal. By the end of the meal we felt it was good enough to return to another location but definitely not this location. The food was solid and the price was fantastic, but as it stands they definitely have some things to figure out in the front of the house there.

Visited Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen and found a foreign object in my soda (see photo). This is a serious cleanliness and safety concern, especially for something as basic as a drink. Really disappointing and honestly makes me question how well their machines are maintained. I hope management addresses this quickly.

The Wednesday Lunch Bunch ventured to Cheddars restaurant in Pflugerville. The restaurant was almost empty probably due to the construction going on around the restaurant. We were seated immediately and a waitress took our drink orders while we looked over the menu. I had planned on ordering the monte cristo sandwich but I noticed a lunch special featuring a small fillet, baked potato, and vegetables for $20 so I went for that. That was a big mistake. The steak was mostly raw and the baked potato was mostly cold. One of my friends ordered the monte cristo sandwich which was excellent according to him and an order of the onion rings which was the main reason he wanted to go to Cheddars. They were also very good. Another friend ordered a burger with fries and the last person ordered the salmon. They all agreed that the food was pretty good except for my filet speciaI but I did order a Monet cristo sandwich to go and enjoyed that later that night. It was very good. The restaurant has a very dated feel and needs an update.

It's truly awesome to receive great service and I can't under state how much my enjoyment at dining here was because of the friendly service. I found Cheddar's on Yelp and was attracted to the idea that the food is mostly made in house "from scratch " From the Spinach dip to the fried chicken...all delicious. The only thing wrong with my meal is not enough"broccoli casserole "! ( so good!). My server (Devon) was awesome and if they are all like her...can't go wrong having dinner at Cheddar's Lastly, prices here are very reasonable. For me, appetizer and dinner was under $25! (Before tip). Not bad at all and another reason to eat here !

Looking for some quality affordable cheap food and drinks this is it! I have been going to cheddars since 2011 when I moved to Lansing Michigan and was in heaven. As a college student on a budget this gave me the best bang for its buck! I have been getting the salmon salad since I discovered it! The pecans add a great sweetness to the salad. I always get extra pecans! I also get it blackened and honey mustard on the side! Also the spinach dip is the best I have ever had in my life, so creamy and flavorful! The drinks are a good portion of alcohol and always great flavors! With all that being said the the food options are plenty but the flavors are mediocre.

John passed away in early 2024, while his family took over the shop in Pflugerville. Now just about a decade after opening shop, Brotherton's is closing down at the end of August. Following John's passing, they've hit a few road bumps from the rising cost of beef that's been plaguing Texas BBQ. Earlier in January they posted on social media how they were struggling, and again last spring. At the start of August, the Brotherton's family announced Brotherton's Black Iron BBQ in Pflugerville was shuttering for good at the end of August. Knowing this would be the last time I would be able to try it, my buddy and I took an extended lunch break on a Friday to give it a shot. Upon arrival at just around 11:50, we noticed that the parking lot was packed with multiple food trucks and other businesses filling the shopping center. We got lucky with a parking spot far away as we marched inside to wait in line. On the door lay plenty of stickers from different BBQ joints from Texas and beyond, with even some coming from overseas. The line moved slowly but surely, and as we got to the front we got our three-meat plate with a bonus slice of turkey for good measure. We ended up getting to Brotherton's at the perfect time because we got the final slices of brisket on that glorious Friday. I'll share my thoughts on everything we tried: Brisket: Though it looked like a great cut that was nicely seasoned, it was pretty fine overall. Nothing remarkable about their brisket while still very fatty. Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage: Juicy, cheesy, not really too spicy on the jalapeño side of things, but that might just be from the mildness of jalapeños these days. Pork Ribs: These suckers looked incredible from the pictures I saw online and on social media, but they were kinda disappointing based on how incredible they looked visually. They were good, just not as epic as I was hoping. Turkey: Turkey is underrated in the BBQ scene, and this is no exception. A nice cut of meat! Cornbread Casserole: I could've eaten the whole thing myself, so it was a shame that we were sharing. Green Chili Mac and Cheese: I'll repeat myself. I could've eaten the whole thing myself, so it was a shame that we were sharing. As a whole, I'm very glad I gave them a shot before I would never be able to again. That's the hardest part about Texas barbecue. The best places and the historic spots can drop in a moment's notice when hardships hit or the meat prices skyrocket. Sadly, I can tell that they're already at the end of their rope with certain menu options like the loaded nachos and baked potatoes, which always seem like the sign of the end. And with how the food was simply just decent overall, it's hard to justify the rising prices. I see reviews all over saying their quality has fallen off year after year following JMFB's passing, and it makes sense: he was the heart and the soul of the business. When that vaporizes overnight, it's only a matter of time. I don't wish for the downfall of any spot, but I understand that it's bound to happen to certain ones. RIYL: Paying respects to one of the greats in Texas BBQ

We loved learning about Sixty Vines' unique wine-on-tap program and appreciated their commitment to sustainability, including composting food scraps. The food was outstanding, and the view overlooking the quarry made the evening even more special. One of our favorite perks was that Happy Hour is available all day on Sundays. We started with a traditional margarita, a mango margarita, and a few mocktails, all of which were excellent. For appetizers, we shared the shrimp cocktail, fresh guacamole, and chicken flatbread. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and a great way to begin the meal. For our entrées, I ordered the cedar-planked salmon with miso soy glaze, and it was absolutely delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked and practically melted in my mouth. My partner enjoyed the same dish and loved it as well. My youngest daughter ordered the New York strip steak with mashed potatoes, her boyfriend chose the ribeye steak with French fries (they definitely have expensive taste!), and my other daughter had the grilled rainbow trout. Every dish was beautifully prepared and thoroughly enjoyed. The red wine paired perfectly with our meal, and the staff graciously allowed us to bring a birthday cake, which made the celebration even more memorable. Between the exceptional food, beautiful atmosphere, great drinks, and attentive service, it was the perfect birthday celebration. I highly recommend Roaring Fork for a special occasion or a relaxing Sunday meal with family and friends.
