I got the side caesar, the side of corn, and the loaded baked potato(no bacon). Even the corn was well-seasoned and cooked immaculately. The meal started with honey-buttered croissants which was an interesting choice, but an ingenious one. The server was sweet and she checked the kitchen for my food allergies and whatnot which was excellent. The place was airy and light while still being relaxing--they didn't offer outdoor dining but they had a place for it, which was somewhat disappointing. Last night my wife and I visited Cheddar's for Valentine's Day. While the restaurant was extremely busy (as usual) we were able to get a table for 2 in about 15 minutes. Our server got to us quickly and took our order immediately since we already knew what we wanted. We always split buffalo chicken wrappers and fries (I known, not the most romantic Valentine's dinner ). Our food seemed to get to our table in about 5 minutes, which was surprisingly quick, especially considering how busy they were! The temperature and taste were perfect: extra crispy like the waitress suggested. She was extremely friendly and always ready to help us in any way possible. I can't say I have never been disappointed coming to Cheddar's, but the only time we had a negative experience was with a large group with several children, and the service was pretty slow once we got to our table. Other than that, we've been to this Cheddar's probably 20 times with a great experience each visit. Highly recommended! read more

Being that I pretty much gave up on Fridays, Chili's and Applebees a while back due to the lackluster food and drinks; Cheddars is the perfect alternative for such a place. The menu is simple and everything on it that we have tried is great. Yes, the food does take longer than normal, but the wait is not over excessive. I happened to order a magarita this time while waiting on the food. Wow it was huge and one of the best I've had in a very long time, for less than $5. Cheddar's is always busy, but that's because the food is delicious and inexpensive while still being served in large portions. Yes, I've always had to wait. But I know that going in and don't mind. The Southwestern spices give it great flavor and just the right amount of kick. I then got the veggie plate because I'm trying to eat healthy. With it you can choose soup or salad and four different sides. I got the salad with broccoli, corn, green beans, and a loaded baked potato. My wife got the same thing, only with baby carrots instead of green beans. Everything was delicious, and our meal as a whole was less than $17 before tip. And again, the portions are huge. Aside from this visit we've been many other times. We've gotten a lot of different items off the menu and never had a bad bit of food. Also, the drinks are delicious. I was in town for a work thing. Someone suggested we go here for dinner since it had a variety of items on the menu for people to choose from...The place was packed! And it was a Monday night, too! We were a group of 12 and we were willing to split up into 2 tables. They told us the wait was half an hour. We were seated promptly within that half an hour and right next to each other in booths. Although this is a large cookie-cutter theme restaurant chain this was my first time here. I would not have been my first choice but we were invited to join a family who we had attended church with and it was their choice. I try hard to see the difference between the increasingly long list of theme restaurants with cute names that are on every other block of virtually every city in America. I try but they all have the same formula of the feed bag mentality ... bland, overly-processed uninspired food usually served in embarrassingly huge portions to make their customers' eyes pop. There is nothing at this Cheddars location that would ever cause me to return, especially when I can choose from so many locally-owned and unique Tulsa restaurants where I can get real food. Although we visited mid-afternoon the after-church crowds were still knee deep. But the line moved fast and we were seated in less than a half-hour. Our server was stretched way too thin and the best word to describe his service is there wasn't much. We rarely saw him. That was most evident by one of our party ordering lasagne which didn't come with the garlic bread. She stopped employees repeatedly asking for her bread and kept being told it was still cooking. Still cooking?!?!? For almost an HOUR? When her cold piece of toast was finally thrown on her plate while we we paying the bill the excuse was that they couldn't find any garlic bread. My order was for country chicken fried chicken. I know what chicken fried chicken is but the waiter's description of it being served as either one piece or two pieces sounded more like traditional fried chicken pieces. I suggest to the restaurant that they use a more descriptive word like chicken "patties" or chicken "steak" to avoid disappointment from those guests expecting pieces of chicken. The positive is for ten bucks it is a lot of food. On the other hand the patties tasted like they were 90% water, they were extremely bland. To cap off the weird service, another server plopped down fresh full glasses of iced tea as we were paying the bill. Nice gesture but not only didn't we order them, it would have been nice to have them with our meal. Overall, Cheddars is as average as any other big corporate chain restaurant. If that's your thing you'll be satisfied with their average food and average service at an average price. read more

My mom and I were so excited to go here. We used to have one in the last town we lived in and loved it. I got the half rack of ribs and chicken tenders combo and she got the vegetable plate. The ribs and chicken tenders were the only things that tasted okay. Everything else tasted old. The fries, corn, mushy green beans, and coleslaw were all pretty gross. We were honest with our server and said that it all tasted old. And she said that everything is made fresh each day.
