    Out for good Chinese...
    Carol B.

Went with friends and had a really lovely, reasonably priced, and politely served Chinese dinner. I will return.

Food: 3/5 - generous portions, but lacked flavor amd texture. Was kind of mushy by the time we got home and the chicken was stuck all together for take out. Service: 4/5 - picked up carry out. Was quick and easy. Ambiance: 4/5 - nice spot. Came Saturday at 5p. Several tables had patrons, felt clean and quaint. No issues!

Love that this restaurant has been opened for 14 years. It's a hidden gem in the fair oaks blvd area near the loehmans Plaza. . I had their dinner combo which comes with chow mein and fried rice and entree kung pao chicken for under 15 bucks and even comes with soup too. . I had their mushu pork which was amazing and I haven't had that for in so long. It was the perfect bite that I didn't know I was craving. . Loved their hong kong style chow mein which is pretty like a bird nest and mixed in with all combo meats on top. . Even had their sizzling beef platter but it wasn't sizzling which I was a bit dissapointed. It had great flavor tho. . Their sizzling rice soup is great, if you are looking for a good soup with some sizzle this is a must order. . They have great pot stickers which is one of their best sellers. Filled with pork and veggies and pan fry. Loved to dip it in their Potsticker sauce and hot muster too. . Overall I love coming here for chinese food. Can't wait to come with friends for chinese new year. They also have another location in elk grove too. Hope this review helps. Thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.

I finally found a traditional Chinese restaurant which reminds me of the former Kim Hei restaurant that used to be on La Riviera drive. I have been driving by this place for as long as it has been open. I ordered the Mongolian Beef lunch special with chow mein. First came a bowl of soup then the main dish. The noodles were good and the Mongolian beef was spot on. The price is reasonable. The restaurant was very clean with plenty of seating, The service was excellent. I shall return.

My wife had a craving for crispy noodles. We were already in downtown Sacramento when we Yelp'd locations. Chef Bo popped up. We visited the location and were immediately seated. The staff were super friendly and took our order right away. I can't believe how quickly they served us. The food was prepared well. They are very efficient. The place was clean, spacious, and food was delicious. The portion size was good and we had leftovers. We truly appreciate that they even packed our leftovers for us. We don't live in the area but would pop in again when we get an opportunity. Thank you so much!

One of the best band for your buck location. Lunch combo and dinner combos go along. Legit you could feed three to four ppl with the dinner combos for two. Service is fast and friendly. The food is made to order, which means it'll come out hot!!! If you don't want to drive to south sac or anywhere else for Chinese food, then this is the place for you. Stop in if you haven't!

When you go to a Chinese restaurant, you are hoping to find one of two things, value and quality. And when you find both, you keep going back. This fine establishment boasts five star service, perhaps the best fried rice in Sacramento, and all at a very reasonable price. Their lunch menu is perfect and comes with some of the best hot and sour soup I've ever had. When it walk in, you are transported to the mom and pop Chinese joint that you were hoping for. From the traditional wallpaper to the zodiac placemat, this place will transport you and fill your stomach without draining your wallet. It's all heart and great food.

    Lemon Chicken sauce

I ordered a lunch combo and it wasn't that great. The vegetable chow mien tastes a little fishy to me and pretty mushy, the lemon chicken was decent, not really much flavor but dipping it in the lemon sauce made it better. They wrote something on the Lemon sauce container, which I'm assuming says "Hot" even though it wasn't when it arrived but I read something completely different

Part of a strip mall with other retailers and restaurants. Well, it was new to see so many signs posted about watch your cars as there's theft. A complete surprise to me. Guess in the area it a common thing. Anyway, the restaurant itself was decent in size. Plenty of parking available. Sunday and it was mellow in a sense. Still pretty busy but we didn't have to wait for a table. It's not your traditional Chinese dim sum restaurant with the carts walking down the aisle and you picking what you want. Here, they give you the menu and you mark down how many items you want. Both dim sum and traditional dishes are on there. Price wise, it's fairly decent but some dishes were a bit pricey compared to other places. Still worth checking out. Mark what you want on the menu which they then take and dishes are brought out. Of course we had to have the classic. Shu Mai and so on. Bbq pork slices, Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce, sticky rice in banana leaves, to name a few. The dim sum did come out pretty fast. Classic Chinese dishes like the chow fun did come out a little later as it had to be made. Overall, the food was quite tasty. I do see why my friends did recommend this place. It was a nice crowd of people that was here for brunch. Loads of family enjoying their meal. For our group, the bill came just under 300. They did include gratuities to it which they did inform us. We got a decent amount of dim sum as well as the other dishes. Food was good and service was great. All the staffs were very friendly and sweet. Drinks were refilled pretty fast after asking. Would definitely be back when we're in the area.

Perfect crispiness and actually crispy walnuts. I think a crispy walnut in a honey walnut shrimp is a must. IDK how I went for so long without being obsessed with honey walnut shrimp. the green beans were delicious. even getting them takeout, they remained crispy. They were also well seasoned. It was a chilly garlic rather than just garlic, which I liked. normally I feel like garlic green beans are under seasoned, but these ones were well done, flavoring wise. The orange chicken was really good. It actually tasted like purposeful seasoning rather than just relying on the orange to carry it. I wish it was crispier, but it probably would've been had I ordered it in restaurant. I wish the chicken pieces were smaller, but that's my personal preference. The chicken was really good quality/ cuts of meat. No fat or weird textured pieces.

The good - my order was prepared quickly, and the amount of fish was very generous. The fish was tasty and spicy. The house chow mein that I also ordered had decent (read below) flavor. The bad - the salt and pepper fish had a great batter, but I feel they're battered too much, and the actual fish piece inside is tiny. My house chow mein didn't have a single shrimp in it. Lots of beef, which was good, but the char smell from the beef was the only thing you could taste on the noodles. It's almost like the chef cooked the noodles on whatever the beef was cooked on. The noodles we had ordered from here a month ago had very good flavor, but not a one note beef flavor. There was a lot of beef and chicken in the house chow mein, but zero shrimp means the cook either forgot or they didn't have them and thought it would be ok to add more beef. Either way, I paid extra for my selection, and didn't get it. Am I Pissy? Yes. Am I honest? Also a Yes. 3 stars this trip, probably my last.

I will admit the impossible siu mai grabbed my attention pretty fast because I had never seen a vegetarian siu mai before sooo we had to order it. The soy/vinegar and chili oil they give for dipping is so good and hits that perfect note between salty/tangy/spicy. I appreciate that this a spot that both vegetarians and their omnivore friends can go~ Have to go back to try their desserts including the egg tarts that sold out!

Its been so bad the past decade that we decided to give it another chance. Different management, different chefs, different everything basically. The fried flounder was so fried that I could not separate the bones, not only that, you could barely get any meat out of it. Our table had nine people and they only provided 6 buns with our peking duck. I thought they didn't have enough steamer space and was going to bring more but nope. The shrimp in their salted egg pumpkin and shrimp dishes was overcooked and their deep fried pig intestines were extremely stinky. Their portion sizes downsized like crazy and it's so bad that we didn't even finish any of the dishes. The best dish was a stir fry cauliflower dish that I could make at home. It was supposed to come with pork, but I only saw itty bitty pieces of meat. The service was also super bad and slow. I was eating their fried rice and bit on a piece of broken yellow plastic with multiple sharp points. Prior to that, I was feeding my toddler the rice so THANKFULLY it didn't go to him. When we told the server, which was an older lady with glasses and bangs, she's like oh... then she took it to the kitchen and pretended that nothing had ever happened when she came back out.
