To go specialist could not understand the English language very well. My wife ordered 2 crab cake appetizers and only receiving one when she got home. Not sure if we were charged for 2 or not as there was no receipt or ticket on or in the bag. The wings only have 2 flavors. If you don't get the lemon pepper flavor, be prepared to have your mouth on fire. I had the rib appetizer and split a house salad and the Mac & Cheese as well as asparagus. We loved all aspects of our dining experience. It's a swanky, cool vibe on the inside. Low lighting, faint music and good sound control. Dark red leather seating with table lights. Very swanky. The food was fantastic. We got the macaroni fritters (delicious!), French onion soup (good), filet (perfect), short ribs (delicious) and a baked potato (standard). The drinks were fabulous. I don't recall the name of my drink, but it was a bourbon drink and it was so delicious I had a second. Lastly, our server was very attentive, aware it was our anniversary, offered to take our picture, gave great recommendations. This review is strictly on the service. The food and drinks were good but for this service review. So I have a food page on iG and TikTok @JayFnEats and I went here yesterday 12/7/2024. Long story short, I ordered a lot of food there, I spend my own money so I'm not looking for favors or special treatment because I food vlog but my server put my food in too quickly. I've never had this experience at a restaurant, especially when the server comes around and keeps asking if I have my order, it seems like he was trying to rush me since I'm one person but I ordered 3 appetizers and then a ribeye steak with 3 sides as well...for some reason the guy out everything in at once. My appetizers came out and after barely getting started on those here comes my main entree within 5/6 minutes. It was absolutely ridiculous and only thing I got taken off was one of my appetizers. The ambience is great for a candle light dinner and the best part is the food. Cherokee Chophouse was surprisingly open Christmas Eve and was extremely crowded. Despite the crowd, we were seated without a reservation and service was fantastic. We really enjoyed the strawberry drink special. I was not as fond of the pear vodka drink, but it was okay. The wedge salad was perfect and a large portion for two to share. Seared Sea Scallops were divine, four perfectly cooked and without sauce to be gluten free. Risotto was also delicious. My husband enjoyed the prime rib and 12 oz was plenty big for his appetite. An Absolutely tasty experience this year!! From the accommodating reservation to the holiday conversations with "Santa" who worked the room, I can not say enough good things about this establishment. We enjoyed the cesar salad and lettuce wedge freshness to start, along with tasty signature cocktails. Although the chargrilled oysters were a little dry and small, the flavor was wonderful, and they came out hot off the grill. Speaking of grill. Our mixed grill came out sizzling- which we were told unfortunately turned our medium temperature meat to well done - not desirable, but still a wonderful presentation, and the flavors of the 3 dipping sauces were heavenly. The Western Luau steak was a pineapple lover's dream, and our Brussel sprouts were shareable deliciousness. I highly recommend this restaurant for an evening out even though our meat was overcooked. We were pleasantly surprised when we visited this restaurant. We had been there under previous ownership where we had been disappointed. What a turnaround. No longer a dark environment with adequate tasting offerings. The restaurant has been completely refurbished. Much more like an elegant environment which is suitable for all occasions. Our server Harrison was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He made the experience very positive and enjoyable. The food was well beyond our expectations in both portion size and taste. Prepared exactly as ordered. I pointed out that there seemed to be an issue with the voicemail system expecting that it would simply be passed on. The manager walked up shortly thereafter and listened to my concerns. Not only did we get a commitment that it would shortly be looked at but we all received complementary desserts for thanking us by showing our concerns. Very professionally handled. We've tried all the other Marietta Diner owned restaurants, but this was our first time at Cherokee Chop House and it did not disappoint! I started with French Onion Soup. My Fiancée had their Spinach Herb and Mushroom Salad. Both were outstanding. They also bring this warm cheese bread to the table with honey mustard dipping sauce. I never thought to dip cheese bread in honey mustard but WOW. For our main entrees we both ordered the ribeye. For sides I chose a loaded baked potato and the Hawaiian Roasted Brussel Sprouts. My Fiancée had the Truffle Fries. I thought about ordering one of the special sauces, but honestly glad I didn't. The steaks didn't need a thing added. They were absolutely delicious. Everything was! We turned down dessert (we were so full) but immediately regretted it when we saw a strawberry cheesecake delivered to the next table. We'll definitely be back to try more on the menu! Last night I attended a seminar in a private room, probably 40 people in attendance. We were told to arrive at 5:45 yet we were not allowed in the meeting room until well after 6:00. The attendees had to wait in the lobby and it was freezing from people coming in/out the doors. I complained to the host and, of course, he blamed the delay on the restaurant. Apparently, no one from the host team insisted the room be set up no later than 5:45. When they brought bread to the tables, only 3 pieces of bread was in the basked. Coffee was cold. The meeting room was cold. I don't believe this restaurant is ready for a seminar of this size even though they are having another one tonight and next week. read more

Arrival: The establishment itself is beautiful. Low lighting with a modern and elegant steakhouse feel. Reservations were made for a party of two and we were greeted and seated quickly, despite being a few minutes early. Service: Our waitress stopped by the table quickly to announce she would be serving us and that she would return shortly to get us taken care of. She returned 10-15 minutes later, and started asking us for our order, before correcting herself and taking our drink order. We were informed Heineken 0.0 was the only non-alcoholic beer option which is a bit of a let down for an upscale restaurant, especially with so many options available on the market now. She left to put in the drink order, then returned for our meal order and to answer any questions we had. Halfway through us putting in our food order, she remembered to inform us of the menu specials for the evening, which luckily did not sway our minds on our orders. As the food came out, it was brought by food runners that were not our assigned waitress, and runners needed to be informed which plate went to which seat. Our server check in periodically but service was a touch slow in most cases. Meals: Patron 1 had the Signature Steak Soup as an appetizer. The soup was hearty and flavorful, but the portion size a bit small. For the main entree, the 14oz Boneless Ribeye was paired with a side of Lyonnaise Potatoes. The steak was delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned well. The potatoes left much to be desired. Fingerling potatoes were used in the dish and they were served dry and undercooked, with a noticeable flavor of vegetable oil. The Banana Pudding Ice Cream was ordered as desert and was truly the highlight of the meal. Absolute perfection. Patron 2 ordered the Ahi Tuna as an appetizer. The tuna was cooked perfectly, the slaw served with was impeccable, and the mustard really brought the whole dish together. For the main entree, Seared Sea Scallops with Herb Risotto. The scallops were cooked and seasoned beautifully, but only 4 were served. The risotto took up a majority of the dish, clumped together and piled high, the sheer amount making the scallops seem like a smaller portion than they are. The risotto was overcooked and lacking moisture, making it stiff, lumpy, and lacking a creamy texture. The rice was mushy, not al-dente, and tasted mostly of parmesan, lacking the herb flavor as advertised. Overview: For a meal costing $175+ for a party of two without cocktail service, the service received and quality of the food were both lacking in quite a few areas. The lack of NA options besides 1 light beer with the large bar they have is quite disappointing. While meal had some highlights, they were not enough to entirely redeem it. While it's not a location i would entirely check off my list, it would not be my first recommendation to anyone looking for a higher-end steakhouse. read more

Our family were long term supporters of Cherokee Cattle Co., so we decided to come in tonight and give Cherokee Chophouse a try. First off, let me say, the entryway and dining area are absolutely stunning. If you don't get here early, you will definitely want reservations, but thankfully at 5pm on a Friday we were seated immediately. Our wait staff was absolutely wonderful and so attentive, despite them being busy. We all loved the cheese bread that they provide, as well as the honey mustard sauce that accompanies it! The salads are a little overpriced, but if you like having a salad with your meal like we do, I feel it was worth it! The steak was something special... while no steak but the prime rib comes with a side, we had no problem paying the price for the steak and an additional side because everything was phenomenal. I've never ordered a steak cooked that perfectly in any restaurant in the nearby area, so we were pleasantly surprised. I was a little worried about the chicken piccata, because it's always hit or miss when you aren't at an authentic Italian restaurant, but they nailed it. It was the exact flavor I wanted and a HUGE portion. The desserts being served around us were beautifully executed and looked delicious, but we simply couldn't hold any more. Based on the price of around $130 for two, we will be back for special occasions and date nights! On 7 Nov 25 my wife and I celebrated our anniversary. We arrived just before 5 with reservations and was promptly seated. Very quickly our server, Andrea, introduced herself. She took our drink orders, an appetizer order and made sure all was well. My wife ordered the scallops but had them cooked with salt and pepper instead of blackened seasonings and served on a bed of risotto. She loved it. I had the prime rib. Was done to my liking, rare, and was definitely one of the best pieces of meat I've had in years. We finished with a piece of their house made cheese cake with glazed straw berries. It. Was. Fantastic! The ambience and the music is what I like in a fine dining restaurant. Note; there were no screaming kids which is important to my wife and I since we're an older couple. We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday. Love the remodel, it gives you an old school mobster steakhouse vibe with the leather booths and the dim lighting. The food was great. I had a blue cheese crusted filet and it was cooked perfectly. Mom even got a free slice of strawberry cheesecake for her birthday so that was a nice touch. Now, while the food was great, the service was below standard. I think my water glass was empty more than it had water in it, and at the end of our meal we waited for almost 20 minutes for our check. Which is unacceptable. (Side note this was in a Sunday early afternoon and the restaurant was not but maybe half full) now I know staff is scarce these days and had our server been busy this would not have been as frustrating, but to watch him standing at the host stand chatting with another employee is 100% not ok. All of the 4 sides we ordered were undercooked and hidden under cheap grated Parmesan. Desert drinks were poorly made and desert was subpar. Stick with little alleys in Roswell, j Michael prime in canton, or Prime 120 in Woodstock for true fine dining in the Cherokee county area. Extremely disappointed with our entire experience. We ordered steaks which were cooked to perfection along with some sharable sides. I had the brussel sprouts which were out of this world! The wine list was amazing and I had the Riesling. I had two glasses it was so good. As far as prices go... it was pricey but the food and service were worth it. It gave me some Ruth's Chris vibes.
