Wonderful property with beautiful grounds. Rooms are comfortable and mine (#8) was quiet. Close to the main drag, eateries, the beach. Check in was easy as was check out. I'll definitely be staying here again. Can't wait until covid relaxes more and their breakfasts kick in again. It would be a nice perk to staying there.

Super cute hotel and rooms and super friendly hosts. Plenty of supplies and even supplied extrA masks and hand sanitizer with the room. Unfortunately over the holiday weekend (the 4th) not a lot of support (that was expected) but also just returned from the trip with a ton of bug bed bites all over both legs and arms. Like a LOT. Disappointed would give a solid rating overall if not for that. :(

We had a fabulous stay in Coronado because of the Cherekee Lodge. The room was large and very clean. Plenty of sanitizer throughout the building. The place was quiet with lively serenity retreats throughout to enjoy the garden and flowers. Parking seemed like itvwould be hard but spots kept opening up as we walked the area. Three boocks from the beach, one block from Orange street. I had the most increfible Korean Skirt Steak at Henry's, recommended by our hostess. A 20 min walk to Hotel Del Coronado. We will stay hear again!!

Awesome bnb. Nice location, walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants, grocery store, and more.

This place is a cozy and comfortable Bed and Breakfast Inn featuring vintage comfort. I strongly recommend staying here. He price is reasonable, it is clean, close to orange street and major restaurants and attractions on the island. Furthermore, it's walking distance to the beach. The staff were friendly and they also offered a 9$ off coupon to panera for breakfast. I would come back here in future and stay here.

What a beautiful place to stay with an interesting history. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The in room continental breakfast such a great idea! We could eat breakfast at our leisure and they even packed cheese and granola bars for snacks. We'll be staying here again.

My family loves the Cherokee lodge. It is in beautiful downtown Coronado just one street off Orange ave. where all the action in Coronado is. Cherokee Lodge is easy walking distance from the beach, resturaunts and shops. The lodge is large and private. The furnishings and setting is antique and authentic. Staying here we feel like we have our own little home on Coronado thats been passed down from generations past. The staff here has always been more than friendly and helpful. Their check in proceedure is great and allows us to get in at anytime of the night convenient for us. I would Highly reccomend Cherokee Lodge to anyone looking for authentic homestyle Coronado boutique lodging. Thanks Cherokee Lodge. Justin Henderson, Nevada

Great place. Lost our key and an employee came over to replace it. Clean and quiet and beautiful grounds.

I truly love this place and can't wait to go back to it. If you're ever looking to stay on Coronado Island, look no further than this wonderful place. As other reviewers have commented, it is immaculately clean. Service is very friendly. And it's a low-key, boutique atmosphere conducive to those who are looking for a peaceful, historic place to stay. Check-in was very simple, and we had the option of taking the short set of stairs to our room on the third floor or the historic 1926 Otis elevator, still in operation. We took the elevator, as we had luggage, and alternately chose it and the stairs throughout our stay. Our room was well-appointed, clean, and comfortable. And when I say comfortable, I am referring mainly to the amazing bed--one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Once I fell asleep, I was out like a light until morning each and every night, which I cannot say very often when I travel. Our room had plenty of drawers to use, a small armoire for hanging clothes (which also contains the safe and beverage cooler), and reading lamps above the nightstands on each side of the king-size bed. One chair with a high back was in the corner. Plantation shutters concealed the window, which you can open to let in fresh air because it is nicely screened. The hotel has no balconies, so it is nice to at least have a window you can open. During our stay, you could hear a lot of construction noise from renovations taking place next door as well as the noise from a lot of military aircraft landing at the military base, but none of that took place during sleeping hours. Besides, if you've ever been to Coronado before, you really get used to the military flights, which are more interesting than bothersome most of the time. We're just glad someone is defending the country. :) The bath area had a nice sink and plenty of space on the counter and underneath. The shower was roomy and modern, though the half-length glass wall did allow water to leak out quite easily, as many of these modern configurations do. We took part in the delicious continental breakfast downstairs each morning, took advantage of reading in the comfortable courtyard, and also took in the Friday night wine-down with free wine and charcuterie board. Everything was done so well, and it was nice to chat with a few other guests. Housekeeping was done daily, and two Ghirardelli chocolate squares were generously left each time. Not much to complain about. Very minor things: One morning, the breakfast was refreshed a bit more slowly than usual, but it was completely understandable because only one person was handling that and the front desk at that time. The shower head in our room wasn't working completely right and could have had a little bit better water pressure, but it was no big deal. And the reading lamps were a little loose and also extremely hot to the touch, so just be careful handling them if they've been turned on for any length of time. We never watched the TV (though I did turn it on briefly for a few seconds, and it had a great picture and sound) and never turned on the heat or air since the weather was so temperate. The Wi-Fi worked flawlessly and fast. All in all, a great stay that we truly enjoyed. We didn't qualify for any discount this time around, but the hotel's website does offer some discounts if you book ahead, so I advise you to keep an eye on that. I know that we will!

You pay for the location and that is about it. The main lobby was super cute. We were very excited to stay here. But it took a turn when we were shown our room. The smell was so bad you could smell it a few feet outside of our door. We would wake up in the middle of the night because the smell woke us up. It smelled like mildew & mold so bad, on top of cigarettes and hospice. I went to call to ask for a new room and our phone didn't work. I moved the side bedroom table to see if it was plugged in and it was so dirty with bugs and lint balls. I didn't touch the phone again. I called from my cell phone to see about changing our room. She told me I could come the next day and take a look at other rooms that were available, but we were only there for one more night and we had plans with friends that day. The carpet is disgusting. The couch is so dirty. There were brown stains on the sheets of our bed. Every time the cleaning crew would come in, they would open every single window to the fullest to mask the smell. There's not a restaurant here so you have to go get your food and bring it in. There were dead bugs in the utensil drawers. So we used plastic utensils, and paper plates our whole trip. Our room looked nothing like the lobby. A motel 8 would've been better. Even the pool is sad. We were going to cancel our stay and book somewhere else, but we booked through Expedia and it's a nightmare trying to get a refund through them. Otherwise, we would've left after the first day. When leaving a manager pulled me aside and said he was going to comp one day resort fee for us because of the smell. He didn't have to do that, but it was nice of him. We will never be back unless they do a serious update. So sad because the location is killer!

They asked us to drive and stay here with them here at the Best Western Plus. I tried to convince them to go to a more upscale hotel, but they were determined to stay here, as they have been doing for years. My dad is a retired officer in the military, and he loves to be close to the base. However, while the pictures on this Best Western site look decent, they don't reflect what the rooms are actually like. Our room was cramped, gloomy and dated and gave me claustrophobia. The sheets and towels were like sandpaper, and the room is shabby and dirty-looking. The only small window looked out into a dirty alley. This was the most depressing room ever! In order to open the bathroom (which was disgusting) you had to make sure the closet door was closed. Carpet was dingy and the bedding was cheap and scratchy. The blanket was 100 years old and the bedspread was like an old shower curtain. There was ZERO natural light and the room stunk of musty, damp air from a loud swamp cooler. The ice machine close to our room was loud and people used it all night. The amenities were non-existent (not even bottles of water, so bring your own). The faucet handles barely worked in the bathroom sink, and there was no hot water. The WiFi is terrible and there are no modern charging ports to use. Housekeeping doesn't replace the linens or even come in to make the bed like a normal resort, unless you request it. What's the point of going away to relax if you have to clean your own room?? This place SCREAMS CHEAP! If you like trashy cheap motels this place is for you.
