I was at this location yesterday. I bought a 2014 Camaro SS. I see this place has received some tough reviews, and that's unfortunate. My salesperson, Chike, was very knowledgable about the vehicle. Furthermore, I was trading in a truck I just bought 4 monthsago. There was a considerable spread between the turn-in and takeaway, but the staff at Keyes was willing to keep working with me to find a middle ground. I am pleased with my purchase and glad I chose this location over Rydell. Actually, I would never have done business with Rydell, but I'll put that on their review page. One pivotal aspect of Keyes, and of some importance to me, was the variety of vehicles within a model series. Many dealerships, especially in regard to Camaros, only carry the top-of-the-line, or the base model. First, that is an insult to any customer, who might actually know what he or she wants. Sure, I could order a build from Chevy.com, but why should I? I think the variety, within model classes, speaks to a dealership that understands the peculiarities of the individual. Carrying only the base or full-loaded models defeats the purpose of carrying more than two vehicles. Keyes' Camaro spectrum was considerably broad, even on the ZL1s. I'm certain their other model lines are large as well. Actually, I looked. I checked trucks, Sonics, Sparks, Camaros, and SUVs. Keyes probably carries the car you want. Do your homework. if you know nothing about finance or cars, wait until a friend can come with you. Do your homework first. Get listings for the ride you want. Call Rosa, the internet salesperson. She's great. She'll tell you if the car you want is on the lot or in transit. Set a price you are willing to pay, and don't cave. Last, if you are bringing in a trade, do your homework. I loved coming here to get my oil changed. The service is usually fast and friendly, but recent events have left a sour taste. First, I actually did recommend a coworker to get serviced here, she even set up an appointment online and was very detailed- car make and everything. Upon arriving she was told they could not change her oil because she has a Toyota. WHY DID IT ALLOW HER TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IF SHE CAN'T BE SERVICED? Second, my battery was shot on a car I have barely owned for less than two years, but since my bumper to bumper coverage expired THE DAY BEFORE I GOT THERE I still had to pay $180 for a car battery! One star up there is for Jared in parts for actually giving me a small break on the price. But the dealership still wanted to charge me $35 for replacing the battery themselves, no thanks! Anyone want to avoid the $35 charge? Come to me I'll do it for free. I'm a 28 year old business woman and I can tell you it's SUPER EASY! This was all the day before Thankgiving, you would think that someone other than the parts department would want to spread a little Holiday joy, but I suppose those days are dead. Finally a few days later we went to keyes to trade in our 15 year old Silverado that was limping to say the least. From the minute we got there Brandon was respectful and definitely helpful. David started off helping me with the truck and although he was fairly new, he knew a lot about it. Eric sat with me through the whole thing and then some. He was a real trooper. We shared stories and he made the experience very comfortable... Even when the sales manager told Eric that be sold my truck the morning after I started my paperwork to purchase the truck. (That wasn't cool, but he fortunately cancelled that deal and released the truck to me.) The "finance guy" (excuse me for not remembering his name or title) was hilarious and made my life so much easier when buying the truck. Consumer guide said $199 dn with $99 a mo lease (must have been early in the year). I called, asked for my money back. "Can't do that without your Cred crd. Come in tomorrow" I did, (I don't live close) and "the rm with the machine has a customer in it, can't disturb them..come back later." Keyes has a $4000 hold on my Visa and I DON"T LIKE IT. I moved to California three years ago and i I have been using the Keys Chevrolet for servicing my Chevrolet Tahoe. This dealership has always been extremely rude every time. I dread having my vehicle serviced. I took my vehicle in for an oil change. Lauren was my service advisor and she was absolutely amazing. For the first time I was greeted with a smile! She asked about my day and we had casual dialogue. This was surprising because in all the three years I had been taking my vehicle to Keys Chevrolet this had never been the case. She asked if I had any other concerns with my vehicle and since she was being so friendly I felt comfortable telling her about the issues I had been experiencing. I told her the check engine light came on the day before and that when I go over bumps in the road I hear a rattle. She asked for my keys and proceeded with the check in process by going to my vehicle and checking the mileage. Upon returning from my vehicle she reviewed my concerns with me and I signed the paper work. Once my vehicle was ready she contacted me via phone once again extremely friendly. She advised me of all the things that were discovered during the inspection of the vehicle among those things were: 2 TPMS, stabilizer links are busted, and emissions code. I arrived to pick up my vehicle I told her how pleased I was with her service. The door to my vehicle was open for me. I got in and left. When I got home I realized that the driver side door handle was hanging off. I called back and spoke with the general manager Rick Alpern. He suggested that I return the vehicle so they could check it out. I return on the same day. Lauren greeted me once again she took the vehicle to the back. Rick and Lauren returned to me and said that the handle was broken when I arrived for the original drop off. I admit it was a little loose but by no means was it hanging from the door (it was still attached). I would imagine that she would have notes that at the time of check in had that been the case. Furthermore I was advised by Rick that the only thing he could do is offer me a discount for the replacement of the handle. He said that I should have advised the service department at the dealership to "handle my vehicle with care". I assumed by bringing my vehicle to the dealership for service that I wouldn't have to say handle with care that would be a given. He said that because it was loose when I brought It in I should have expected it to be broken since I didn't advise care. I can not imagine that I shouldn't expect to receive my vehicle back in the same condition I left it in. Because it was loose when I got there doesn't allow them to break it more. If a car comes in with a dent does that allow to total it? This incident makes me question the ethics of the service department. Is this normal protocol when you inspect someone's vehicle do you break things to get more money from the customer? Are the other issues listed on my customer sheet actual problems or just another way to get more money? read more

If I could give negative a thousand stars to this place, I would. Even after my first bad review, we had to go back because we bought our car here and we had a warranty issue. The a/c stops working until we have to pound the dash to work. So we made an appointment on 3/3/18 and had Tania as our service writer. She came out greeted us right away and text messaged us throughout and everything was great. We were even able to pick up that same day. The problem is the issue was never fixed. So I call and make another appointment. This time we ask for a loaner due to our busy schedule. Tania specifically said, "When we diagnose the car we can provide you a loaner." So, my Husband left work early today, Friday to drop off his vehicle AGAIN and to pick up the loaner. Except when he gets there, Tania is confused about why he is there and when she finally remembers, she then states she can't provide a loaner without a manager's approval. The reason why we are really pissed, is because we were very specific and so was she when she said a loaner would be provided to us. My husband was clear he would need a vehicle for the weekend. She said she needed manager's approval and there aren't any managers there at 5pm on a Friday to help us. So, my Husband is then too mad and leaves. I call and ask to speak with the manager at around 5:40 and I am transferred to Kenia, the Assistant Manager. (Wait, I thought there was no manager that can help us!) After I explain to her the situation she puts me on a brief hold and comes back saying.. Tania never said she will provide you a loaner.. so then I ask what did she tell you she said? Kenia states, Tania said she will provide you a loaner when we diagnose your car... ( I really hope all calls are recorded like the automated message states) So they admitted they were going to provide us a loaner!!!! I honestly feel this place is giving us the run around to not properly fix our car and have our warranty run out... We did make another appointment for tomorrow, as we are desperate for our a/c to work. Kenia said she will have a loaner ready for us. I ask her if we can come today and pick up the loaner, she said yes, but they are closing in 10 minutes. We were already home in Canoga Park. I also have an appointment in B.H. tomorrow at 11 and now our Saturday will be focused on fixing this issue when Tania could have avoided all this by not lying about a Manager not being there. When I pressed Kenia about that, she states she was in a "meeting." This experience alone should deter any potential buyer from coming here or to even service their car here.. I hope they can fix the issue we have this time. Otherwise, would we have to talk to corporate? It's also nice but futile for the owner to message me back from my first bad review to say he/ she is sorry for our bad experience and to call in to discuss our issue. The owner's message does not leave a person or number to call... so, who would we need to discuss this with? Upon arrival, we worked with Chike (Chee-Kay), who was a very affable and knowledgeable salesperson. Chike spent a LOT of time with us showing us the vehicle(s) we were interested in, and helping us through the process. For pricing, we spoke directly to the GM (Rick Alpern), who was not your typical Car Dealer GM. Very low key, very straight forward. And bottom line, great pricing for a great car. In the finance department, there was not a single attempt or pressure to sell us any additional options that we did not want. We drove away extremely happy not only with the price, but with the customer service in the dealership, and how we were treated from the moment we walked in, to the moment we drove out. The salesman was extremely helpful and really seemed to work with our needs and likes. He took his time and was not pushy or aggressive. He let us test drive as many cars as we wanted and wanted to make sure we left satisfied. I never considered myself to have an electric vehicle and Joe, our car salesman proved to us otherwise.
