Easy to get to, easy to park. A party place, family place and fun for birthdays too! Great Margaritas- several flavors too. We like the regular margaritas with salt on the rim. Happy Hour in the bar is fun, large dining room and outdoor dining too. If you are bringing a group - call ahead for reservations. Check out Monday Margaritas -all day - only $2.99 YUM. Friendly servers and bartenders, be prepared for bigger crowds on TGiF - Fridays. We like the appetizers , tacos, steak & shrimp, many other platters. Chips & salsa is fresh & great too, and comes with every meal.

Chevy's changed their every-day Happy Hour to M-F and clawed back the hours from 9pm to 3pm-7pm. We wanted to try their new menu. Tots $10, 8 wings $10, 3 ribs $12, empanadas $8, frozen margarita $8 and a margarita flight $10. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cantina area was full because the happy hour specials are only available in this area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food and drinks were OK with the exception of the enchiladas $15. That was meh. Downgraded to three stars because of the service. We ordered ribs and received wings. If I send it back, it would take even longer for them to fix it so I ordered ribs again and got charged for 2x ribs instead of the cheaper wings. The waiter doesn't check what food belongs to which table. No silverware or napkins were given to us. I had to ask for it after my food arrived. No water refills. Waiter would disappear for a long time and he looked confused. I feel bad for him and worst for his customers, including me. There's also a weird $3.74 surcharge for a $75 bill. No explanation.

Oof This is my second time at this location and I will not be returning. Service is awfully slow, even when it's not busy. The first time I came, they never served us water (which we ordered). The second time, we got water but no refills. Chips are more stale than not. I do like the thinness of them though. The salsa is smoky, which my sister enjoyed (I thought it was fine). I ordered the enchilada/chile relleno plate. It must be a month's worth of sodium in one go--particularly those beans. Both times, the meals were nearly inedible with salt. I can only imagine it's a ploy to get you to order their drinks. You will feel lightly sick the rest of the day.

Dining at Chevy's is nostalgic. The service, atmosphere, food, drinks are all as I remembered. I still recall the days in my late teens, early 20s when a friend and I would make plans to go workout at the Y by Stonestown but somehow end up pigging out on chips and margaritas at Chevy's instead! I also remember many after work happy hour get-togethers at the Chevy's in Pleasanton. Today the only Chevy's around is this one in SSF, which is not too far of a trek for me. I am a creature of habit so to this day, I order the crab and shrimp enchiladas with habanero pesto sauce. The chips and salsa are consistent and fresh. Since I often go with a big group, we always end up with a pitcher or two of traditional or fruit margaritas. Overall, I don't seek out every opportunity to dine here, but when we do go, it is solid. Tip - use the in-kind app to pay your bill and you get 20% in-kind cash back to use at a later date. Beware of expiration dates on these and use them before they expire.

Sad! Why are all the Chevys closing? This is one of the few left in the bay. So I am HAPPY! To be here. And please stay and don't close. Please please please The complimentary chips are soo thin and break too easily but also are kinda addicting because they're fried so oily. The tomato salsa is more of a blended watery mix than it is chunky. Order some guac if you want more to dip Happy hour in the cantina side (right side) of restaurant for generous hours in the evening. Till 9pm! Such a great deal! Cocktails, Tacos, chips all very low prices. You can't find these deals anymore elsewhere! Love it My go to item is the Chevys super cinco which is $25 for 5 items including enchilada, taco, chile relleno. O that chile relleno is fantastic and a big potion. With side of beans and rice. So good Tex mex! Chevys I don't care what people say, I will always love you

Chevy's used to be so much better. The chips are still thin and tasty, but the heater wasn't working right so they weren't warm. We were asked to wait a moment, but it was more like twenty minutes of waiting before chips arrived. They were short staffed, it seemed, since it took a long time for our order to be taken. Then it was a long time to be delivered. The first two times, the order was wrong.

We came in for Sunday lunch and were seated right away, which gave us hope for a smooth meal. The staff was friendly, but despite only having about five tables to serve, the service was extremely slow. We ordered the tableside guacamole, which took 30 minutes to arrive meanwhile, tables seated long after us got theirs almost immediately. The guacamole was very salty and not very well cut and mixed, I asked for some more lemon and try to cut down the salt. About 10 minutes later, we were given the tortillas meant for our fajita plate for two (three meats + shrimp)... but still no food. The tortillas sat there getting cold and hard because it took another 20 minutes and us having to ask before our meal finally came out. At that point, we had to ask for fresh tortillas since the originals had been sitting untouched for half an hour. When the fajitas arrived, they were missing the carnitas entirely. When we asked, our server said, "Oh, I forgot to tell you we didn't have any. I'll check if we do now." Not exactly reassuring. Unfortunately, the food itself didn't make up for the experience. Everything was bland and overly oily, and both of us ended up with stomach aches afterward. The whole experience really killed our appetite and mood. I'm not sure I'll return to this location, but I might give another Chevys a try and hope for a better experience.

Solid! I've been coming here for years. Sometimes the food is hit or miss but the service is always so great. :) We came for happy hour and got so many delicious foods! The birria and fish tacos are delicious! We also loved the Mexican pizza which was pretty good. I really enjoyed the margaritas too. They have a flight special for $10. The fajitas are great too but sometimes the meat can be dry. We got these with rice/beans/corn mix and fresh tortillas. These are super filling! I recommend this place.

Let's start with the food. My partner and I had the Mexican Hash and Elvis pancakes, respectively. My partner (who is Mexican) was not impressed by the hash, and said it didn't taste very authentic. I enjoyed the Elvis pancakes--named for the fact that they're made with peanut butter, honey, and bananas. The flavor profile was good, but the pancakes were chewy and dry. I enjoyed the flavors, which is the only reason this review is 2 stars instead of 1. Beyond that, the service was not great. Our table was dirty and while the server said she would come clean it for us, she never did. The table only had one set of silverware and I was never brought any during our meal, I had to grab them off of an adjacent table. We were not given water, or asked if we wanted any, and our server checked in on us so infrequently that we had to flag down a different one just to ask for water. The prices were fine. Nothing unusual for the Bay Area, so that was a bonus at least, but there's no way I'm ever going back.

Not huge but not small either. The only thing I missed was salsa to put on it. Tapatio packets were given instead. At my seat (depicted) you get live behind the scenes of a kitchen. Me personally, I enjoy watching my food being cooked in front of me, so I enjoyed it. I originally went because of looking at the prices on an image on yelp. It was $16 for sausage, eggs, hash browns, and pancakes. That's a great deal! But, once I got there inflation kicked it up to $18. Not the biggest difference to deter, but just letting everyone know the real price. I got pancakes, eggs, hash browns, and bacon (depicted). The eggs were good, pancakes were very good, hash browns were okay, and the reason for 4 star instead of a 5.... the bacon. The bacon wasn't crispy and cooked to order. It was chewy and I guess they cook it before and then heat it up on the griddle after. It is super noticeable from the taste, but especially from the texture. The two thin pork chops were supposedly marinated, but I couldn't tell from tasting them. They were over cooked--dry, tough and needed some herbs. DH had the cheeseburger with potato salad and praised the meal. He also devoured my dessert--ice cream with chocolate sauce. Service was friendly and efficient, making me want to return.
