    Duckling with poached pear

This is my second time coming to Chez Nous and I already can't wait to go back again! If you feel like your GPS is taking you to the wrong place - it's not! It's in a residential area and is such a sweet quaint place. The service is incredible and very attentive- they went above and beyond when they heard we were celebrating tonight and brought us some complementary champagne and even put a candle on our kids dessert plates The food is absolute top notch - we haven't found anything comparable that is close to this area! I personally recommend the foie gras for an appetizer, duckling with poached pear for your entree, and the soufflé for dessert! You won't be sorry!

Chez Nous a French inspired restaurant in the middle of a really nice cottage like neighborhood. The staff was welcoming and very knowledgeable on their menu. They gave great suggestions for the evening. The vintage restaurant feel was warm and comforting. The white table cloth service makes you feel like youre really fancy. The food courses were very unique; starter of a fried sheet pasta with goat cheese salad, not what I expected. I was expecting an actual pasta salad with that name. Then the most butter soft pork chop that melted away in my mouth with light whipped potatoes.... were great with the exception of a super salty gravy put atop. The dessert trifle for sure was just a bit on the dry side but had a great raspberry sherry angel food cake feel. Over all for the price I would definitely go for the experience but maybe not for the price since they even charge to box the left overs. Parking is along the side of the restaurant or neighborhood street.

This hidden gem is nestled in the middle of a residential neighborhood, here in Humble, TX. It is a countryside French restaurant that offers everything a person desiring authentic French cuisine could wish for. Romance, ambiance, attentive knowledgeable staff, beautiful presentation and a great menu. Each dish is individually prepared and seasoned perfectly. My wife and I have been coming here for 10 years. Chef Stacey is the real deal and as a former restaurant owner, I know what level of prep and expertise it takes to put out consistent, high quality European dishes offered here. Get on the mailing list and takes advantage of the special offerings Chef Stacey puts out throughout the year. Her "price fix" menu is superb and offers a price point that allows you to visit more frequently. Bon appetite. Read less Price fix menu, main course. Salmon, Teres Major steak

Classic gastronomic experiences are not what comes to mind when Humble is mentioned, but Chez Nuos stands alone as a unique restaurant offering French inspired dishes on another level. First and foremost, looks can be deceiving when it comes to Chez Nuos. They are smack dab in a residential area. The interior isn't showy with modernity or chic vibes, but instead, a cozy cottage feel with simple paintings and drapery matching the wallpaper. The menu is straight forward with well prepared classics. We marveled at the excellent execution of each dish. First must is to order the complementary baguette warmed, as it is only served warm by request. Second order of business is to order the charcuterie board. It will transport you to Europe with the taste. From the cherry jelly topped mousse, to the smoked duck breast, this board was awesome in terms of textures and flavors. The pickled pearl onions, caramelized onions, and cornichons paired well the proteins. We were presented with some toasted bread when I asked for crackers. As for the mains, I settled on the duck, which came with confit and sliced breast meat drizzled with sauce. The meat was deliciously tender. My one criticism was that I wish the thigh skin was crisped up like I have had at other places. It makes a world of difference. My dining partner ordered the pork ribeye, which was an off menu special for the day. I had reservations about the accompanying blueberry sauce, but wow! It complimented the savory fatty pork well. Speaking of the pork, it was a perfectly cooked piece of meat and oh so tender and juicy. We substituted the risotto out for potatoes and veg, and it was perfect. We ended our meal with the light and lightly sweetened soufflé. Go ahead and order this with your mains because it takes twenty five minutes to prepare. We both agreed that was a fantastic and memorable meal, and it's definitely worth another visit with a special occasion in mind.

This is a very traditional French restaurant opened in humble old street, so humble old street actually have a so authentic taste of the French restaurant is really amazing, the owner is a famous French chef, so it is really very attentive in the cooking of each dish, very art very delicious and good-looking! The service is also amazing Charcuterie Platter, the cup of foie gras from France is absolutely amazing, I dug through it in one gulp and still savored it, and the smoked duck breast was also super delicious! Escargot, the escargot was full of rich flavor of herbs and butter, and the bread was super flavorful. The chef recommended the pork, which was very tender, but I actually thought the roasted Brussels sprouts were better than the meat. French grilled lamb chops, burnt on the outside and tender on the inside, the meat is delicious and juicy, exudes a charming herb and garlic flavor, every bite makes people feel the rich layers and rich French flavor, the waiter will be very ceremonial at the table to give you a good cut of the sauce, nice! The classic French duck leg and duck breast in oil, the outer skin is golden and crispy, the inside is tender and juicy, paired with Burgundy poached pears in red wine, which balances out the richness of the duck leg in oil. After the main course, the waiter will push the dessert cart to introduce you to the most favorite dessert: Chocolate Charcuterie, a variety of chocolate with flowers and nuts ice cream.

Their dinner menu had a lot of really good options, that we were honestly having a difficult time trying to choose a single option between the 1st and 2nd courses. It's been quite a long time since I was here and as I was in the neighborhood I decided to stop by again today. Remembering how good they were last time, I ordered the Oma's Frikadellen (grandma's recipe for all-beef meatballs). I like a good German meatball and these were tender and juicy. There was a choice of red cabbage or sauerkraut as a side; having confirmed they made the sauerkraut in-house themselves, had to order that because I know it's super healthy to eat. Better yet, that sauerkraut was almost perfect with a great flavor, but not too tart and just really a delicious version. Honestly I could've eaten a huge bucket load of that sauerkraut and I may buy some to go someday just to have it on hand in my refrigerator; a slight warm and it would be a wonderful side to serve guests. Dessert was a wow! I wanted to try a dessert that they made themselves and so I couldn't help but go with one of the dessert specials of the day. There were several options available not on the menu and although it was tempting to try the tiramisu or one of the three versions of crème brûlée they make, I decided to go with their homemade limoncello cake which turned out to be a delicious choice that I'm very happy about. Waiter Ty said it was one of his favorite desserts here and I could taste why -- moist cake, flavor-filled filling, whipped cream and with blueberries to decorate the plate. In fact it was so yummy that I decided that so someday soon I would order one with a couple days notice and then take it to my family's place next time I go over for dinner - what I don't know is whether I'll tell them the truth or try and pretend that I made it myself LOL :-) Update: the next day I did call to order an entire cake and it didn't last very long once the family dug in, got gobbled up because it had an intense great lemon flavor, wonderful.
