This place has been around for a minute. For those who don't know, that means a very long time. So there's that nostalgic affinity for it that may add some bias, but I really like the food here. Pizza has a signature layer of thick cheese and the toppings embedded in it. The house salad is so good too, simple but delicious. I stick to the basics here, haven't really ventured into new menu items or much of the pasta. The all-you-can-eat option is nice, but don't expect to be impressed with the taste and quality with that kind of deal. Im supposed to rate the food, well the food for the quality is overpriced there is nothing special about there food and perhaps others may like paying 18.00 for Lasagna that's your choice but for that price I do expect delicious, I don't appreciate that the wait staff doesn't tell me there charging me for rolls, I just paid 3.00 for bread in an Italian restaurant?? but that's the question is this Italian food?? My family and I have been coming to Chi Chi's for over 30 years and has been a Simi Valley staple for decades! The food is always amazing and pizza certainly hits the spot every time. For those wanting to try the salads, even half orders are very filling! Sometimes there is too much cheese, but they don't skimp on any of the ingredients which is great. We love Chi Chi's for their homemade pasta and cheesy pizza. My favorite are the shells with meat sauce and whole mushrooms. My husband enjoys their clams linguine and pizza with extra cheese. They do put their cheese on top of the pizza toppings so if you prefer the toppings on top you should ask for it. At first, I didn't see the appeal of their pizza but it has grown on me. I also enjoy their sourdough rolls the day of. We mostly come here for take out but they do have a small area for outdoor dining. Come here for all your carb cravings! read more

We came here for an early dinner (6pm) on Friday night and got a table outside pretty quick. The anti pasta salad (large) was perfect to share. The meatball appetizer was a little dry but had great flavor. We were all looking for a little sauce. The super deluxe pizza is amazing. Packed full of toppings. Service was great. The server informed us pizzas were taking a little longer. Still arrived in a timely fashion. Very kid friendly as we brought my niece. We'll be back for some pasta next time. read more

I have to say this is a great place for lunch specials. You can get the petite pasta with a salad for around seven dollars. Or you can get a big bowl of pasta for nine dollars during lunchtime. Just so you guys know all the spaghetti here are made from scratch. You can definitely taste the Freshness and all of their pastas. I'm also in love their spaghetti meat sauce. You can also get the margarita pizza for lunch at around $10. I think it's one of the best pizzas and it's also thin crust. This is definitely a legit Italian restaurant and I haven't had anything there that I haven't liked. I'm also a big fan of theirs for spamoni ice cream. I feel like a lot of places don't get it right. You can definitely taste the cherry ice cream along with the other flavors. Been eating chi chi's since I was a kid. My parents actually met at the one that used to be open in now Panorama City. You could say that if it wasn't for Chichis I would never have been born lmao. All the food is very well made and prepared. Pizza is great...only request that they cut this rings of pineapple up. Pizza kind of falls apart when you have these crescent moon pineapple slices on each slice. read more

I asked if I came in and sat at a table and then requested a "Take Out" box or bag for the order. We were told we could not do that.???? Horrible customer service, I called for 15 minutes thinking that my phone was disconnecting , just to find out they are answering the phone saying "chi chi pizza how can I help you. Then I tell them I want to put in a order for pick up, then they hang up" it's really easy to tell someone that we arnt excepting orders at this time or we can't fulfill your order tonight. Or something along those lines. But the way they handle it is beyond ridiculous. I will never order from chi chi again, nor will any of my family. read more
