Love this place! They have it all - Chinese, Japanese, hibachi, sushi Every dish is made to order and amazing. I've had so many dishes from here. This was a monthly spot when I lived in the area. I still make my way there on occasion and make sure to grab a dozen Eggrolls to go. They still taste delicious after being frozen and air fried. I went here a few days ago. As usual this place was crowded. The cashier/order taker was friendly. I am slowly becoming a vegan and just wanted to try their vegetable chow mian. Can't go wrong right? Well yes u can. The presentation was missing ummm vegetables. These huge noodles were odd looking 2 me, greasy, no flavor. $12 for this? Thankfully I had a pack of Aldi's Asian stir fry in the freezer which I added to the chow mian. I haven't been to Chi Tung in years...now I know why. read more

I went to Chi Tung today April 3rd for my best friend's birthday dinner and our experience was horrible! Our waiter was rude and disrespectful the entire time and very dismissive. When we requested the manager, one of the chefs impersonate the manager and made jokes of our situation. Then when speaking to the real manager she called our differences a "cultural differences." Would never eat there again! 0/10 experiences! read more

I have been a patron of this restaurant since it was a storefront back in 1995. There have been many changes, including the addition of a hibachi the service has changed dramatically for pick up you now have to either pay at a kiosk or online prior to arriving to pick up your food. The service is better when you sit down and dine. The food is fresher when you sit down and dine. Pick up orders tend to not be so fresh. The restaurant is always very clean. They have added an additional parking area on the other side of the restaurant so parking is plentiful so I sort of have mixed reviews at this time as the changes have not been so great. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place. I have gone here so many times I lost count. It was my go-to restaurant spot when I came home from college and became the primary restaurant that me and my grandfather went to (and argued over almond cookies if there was an odd number). Everything I eat there is good, but my go-to is Thai fried tofu rice (medium spicy), spring rolls (with tofu), edamame and occasionally a whiskey sour. I may branch out here and there when someone is with me (like trying the Veggie Medley Delight). I Just expect everything to be incredible always and fully understand why the parking lot is usually packed and there's a line. It's worth it. The only reason I'm switching my review from five stars to four stars is because if you order online, the receipt claims they'll text you. They DO NOT. A family member waited for about 45 minutes. Finally, I mentioned to him that I usually go pick up the order as soon as I buy it online. He insisted that they will text. I shrugged and walked away. He called them. They said they would text when the meal was ready but "it wasn't ready yet." Before he could even put the phone on the charger, a text came through saying the meal was ready. Like I said, they do not keep up with texting when meals are ready. Just go wait in the lobby. Or call to check on your meal so you're not waiting a long time. read more

I came for my birthday dinner. We chose to sit in the Hibachi room where they prepare the food in-front of you amongst others. I ordered potstickers, a blackberry mojito and chose the hibachi dinner of Salmon, chicken and calamari. This came with fried rice. Unfortunately was too impaired thought I took pics of the salmon and calamari. Honestly I'm not a fan of hibachi I always feel that it's just a lot of food that lacks soulful seasoning. The most tasteful thing I enjoyed was the sushi and pot stickers and the yum yum sauce. They brought an ice cream treat as a birthday dessert.. I wasn't quite fond of that either. But the experience itself was nice watching the fire and food being prepared. The blackberry mojito was very good. I'd come back but I'd probably just get sushi.. it was entirely too much food for me. I think I ate off of it for 2 days. The customer service was okay. They get an A+ for entertaining us. read more

I happened to be around the area and wanted Chinese food. If you know me, I'm usually up north trying out yummy restaurants. It is rare i venture out this south Lol. Anyway, Chi Tung had good Yelp reviews so I gave it a try. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. Their food was very Americanized and bland. I stopped by around 6:30pm on a weekday. Parking lot was packed! Lots of take outs and customers dining in. Business was good on a weekday! I placed my order online ahead of time. When I got there, my food was ready and they gave me a reusable bag. I think they do that for all online orders. If you placed an order by phone, it's just bagged in a white plastic bag. Chi Tung is a fairly decent sized restaurant with hibachi. Most customers were there for that. For a restaurant that makes Chinese , Thai and Japanese food, I was expecting food do be good. I ordered hot and sour soup, chicken lo mein, moo shu pork, Mongolian chicken and shrimp fried rice. $50 some dollars was wasted. The hot and sour soup was nothing I've had before in Chinese restaurants. They seem to have added hot chili oil in the soup. I can see a red oily layer on top of my soup. It really ruined the flavor for me. The chicken lo mein noodle was chewy . They use the udon type noodle. Basically they just stir fried it with chicken , pea pods , carrots and a bunch of soy sauce. Not much excitement in that dish. Mongolian Chicken had some good flavor. Chicken was very tender and I love the onions and scallions that gave the chicken the booster flavor. Shrimp fried rice was a disappointment. There's no Wok Aroma in the fried rice at all. Just shrimp , rice with a bunch of soy sauce. This was probably the worst dish of the night. Although they were very generous with the amount of shrimp that were in the dish. Moo Shu Pork was okay. The plum sauce to put on the pancake has good flavor. However, the "pancake" given to me was flaky and dry. Felt like days old pancake. Usually the moo shu pork pancake I've had is soft and kind of like the soft taco / flour tortillas you can buy at the grocery stores but thinner . If you are looking for authentic Chinese food, this isn't the place. I haven't tried their sushi, or hibachi so this review isn't for that. It was a disappointing dinner for me for sure. I ordered a large shrimp fried rice & 2 egg rolls. I literally just got one packet of soy sauce & 2 sweet & sour sauce packets!!! What am I supposed to do with just one packet of soy sauce?! The rice itself is dry & there's a tiny amount of shrimp! This used to be my favorite go to place but after today, I won't be back. They have a robot waiter now. I don't know what to make of it. I'm more of a traditional customer I guess... Do I still tip the robot? :p The crab Rangoon and it's sweet sauce is always a family favorite for us. We have been coming here for years now, I think the restaurant is nice, maybe the floors from the hibachi area could use a redo, they are very sticky from the grease that comes out from the hibachi? I wish I would've liked this place more because I remember how good it used to be. Haven't been here in years and went today and the hibachi chef was very fun and engaging with the customers, which ultimately made the experience. The food on the other hand.... The salad they brought out was very good. The "soup" as they call it but simply broth with two paper thin slices of mushroom and some green onion sprinkled on top--nothing more. Onto the main event , I don't know if it's the butter or the seasoning or the combination of the two, but either way ALL the food was extremely salty. It also would've been nice for the different meats and seafood to have some difference in flavor, but the same seasoning is used on everything so everything taste exactly the same, overly salty. read more

I used to love Chi Tung Jumbo shrimp fried rice but the shrimp are not so jumbo anymore; they are very small and imitation like...The rice is a bit pasty as well. The seafood is not as appetizing like before COVID. They don't give soy sauce unless you request it for a price. My last dine-in experience was okay. However, on my recent visits, I've noticed that the hibachi chefs don't seem to engage with customers as much as they used to, which takes away from the overall experience. The quality of the food has also declined. The noodles, for instance, often taste overcooked or like they've been sitting around from the day before. This restaurant has changed a lot since the last time I visited. They have changed the food and there is NO SEASONING! The butter is now flavorless. I used to love the fried rice and noodles. I have enjoyed the food that I have eaten from CHI TUNG. The only issues I've ever had came from food that was delivered and that wasn't too often. The issues were either a missing item or something with the packaging and something leaked. Normally that issue would be resolved in a phone call. Most recently there was something wrong with the container of one of my orders where an item leaked. The lid of the container of the soup was cracked, and some of the soup had leaked out in the plastic bag that the container was in. I called Chi Tung and they asked me to send a photo which I did. I never asked them for any money, but I did about the crack lid.I next receive a call from a manager who complained to me about the number of times that I called in about an item. It was three items last year and said it was three items this year. Who doesn't examine what they receive when they order If an item is supposed to call if something is supposed to the bag when it came with staple together with all the items in it so I have no clue how the lid . She stated to me that that is highly unusual. She stated if I wanted any further food deliveries from CHI TUNG I would have to come in and pick it up versus having it delivered. I don't feel response to me was appropriate. read more

I was there yesterday, September 9, 2025. My family had brought my mother for her birthday. We chose to do something different because we always do the hibachi but this time we did the buffet. I was extremely disappointed. The food was room temperature and had no flavor. The portions that were out for dining in it was extremely small so we had to keep walking back waiting for them to bring out more. It was very low quality. The waitress hardly came to see if we needed anything or drinks. When we were leaving I had explained it was my mother's birthday, and the lady said it was too late to sing, happy birthday. My mother is disabled and 76 years old she could not come back to the table. I asked if they could bring it to the front where she was sitting, and the lady was untruthful and said my mother was gone when I got up to go see my mother was sitting right there I continue to give this restaurant a shot. Maybe it's a bad day, etc.. but you can't have bad days all the time I live an hour away and this used to be my mother's favorite hibachi restaurant. I will never do the buffet again. The food was terrible and cold. The only thing that was warm was the fried chicken? The dishes were not cleaned and the plastic cups that they brought us water in were cracked and to make things worse, my family and I were sick after eating the food. read more
