YUCK!!!!! I ate here, today, for a quick bite as it was within walking distance from St. Luke's. Big mistake!! There was no one in the restaurant. I ordered the penne pasta with alfredo sauce, chicken and mushrooms. There was hardly any chicken in the dish and it tasted blah...borderline awful! When it was served to me, the pasta was cold so I had to get up from my table to hunt the waitress down so that she could return it to the kitchen to get it heated up. My stomach is aching at the moment as a result of how terrible it tasted and I am nauseous...I left half the dish of pasta if not more because I couldn't eat another bite. I will NEVER step foot in this restaurant again! read more

Super fresh salad bar! I hadn't been here in a few years and stopped by yesterday to get a large salad from the salad bar to go and it was sooo good! Super fresh, lots of variety and high quality dressings. I went back again today. I will definitely be returning again soon! Hit or miss. Ordered delivery a couple of times. One time was really good the other time, which was the friday before Christmas, was a mistake. The pizza was sloppy and there was so much moisture that the crust was soggy. read more

Restaurant had more than 6 tables and only one host who's the server as well. The service was fine but slow. I wish if she checked on us before we finished our food. After loving this pizza and ordering it twice a week, they just lost one of their best customers. I always pay online with a credit card, and apparently forgot to add a tip on line. The delivery driver was not only not shy about letting me know this he basically insulted and yelled at me and refused to leave. I thought I was on candid camera. Rattled by the situation whether to call the police or store manager. I called the manager who was un sympathetic told me she would talk to the driver. I have not been called back with an apology or free pizza coupon the least they could do. Bad decision Chicago connection. This is how you treat someone who spends 30-40 a week here. Every year the service has been great. Our band finishes practice on Thursday nites around 9 and the manager and staff agreed to stay open so we could go after practice. We made sure to tip well and called when we couldn't make it. Alas, this is history. I guess I can't fault them for adhering to published closing times, but nowadays we get no suction. I ordered the deep dish lasagna. You can pick your ingredients. I chose mushroom, olives and bell pepper. I am just staying for the weekend so have never been here before. It was very good, well seasoned and a generous portion. I probably wouldn't order this too often as it has lasagna noodles inside the crust. Great if you're preparing for a marathon though. My daughter had the wings which she liked. They tasted like they were char-grilled vs. deep fried. A must try place to eat for sure. read more

Second visit. Salad bar was always freshly stocked. No limp lettuce or mushy peas. Lots of salad toppings. Pizza was served quickly. Free refill on soda. Server came by many times to ask how everything was. The deep dish is to much bread and I should have gotten the flatbread style. Price was very good. Been going to this location since I was a kid, and I still love it. The pizza us always fresh with fresh ingredients and a large sizes. The salad bar is small but has enough variety to create a nice complimentary side salad or to gorge on with a side of cheesy garlic bread. Plus, they have my favorite pasta salad. The inside is spacious and they also have outdoor seating. It's a bit out of the way from downtown but worth the couple of extra blocks. read more

Wait...What?!? So I finally got my pizza 2 hours after I called, and just to be clear I ordered it at 3:45 pm. Called the store to check it on the pizza and was told "yeah, it'll be there." Talked to the driver and gave me some excuse about traffic. I live 10 minutes away from the store. Anyhoo, got the pie and it looks like it's been in the car for 2 hours. Yummy! This place is better. Delicious pizzas and salads, my favorite pizza being the Buffalo Chicken Pizza that has ranch dressing instead of pizza sauce! Decent salad bar options though it's a small bar, but they pack a lot into it! Service on weekdays is excellent - have eaten there for lunch many times and never had a bad experience...until I ate there on a Saturday. One server for the whole restaurant (who told me that's normal - they weren't just understaffed) and our pizzas were made wrong and we were forgotten because they stuck us in the back. I would eat there for lunch on a weekday but probably won't eat there again on a weekend. read more

Went for dinner in a decent size group, but had horrendous service. We had to ASK for drinks multiple times and took over an hour for our food, WITHOUT our server checking in and letting us know the status of our food. In addition, our server put our drink on another ticket and couldn't do the courtesy of crediting it. read more

This was not Downtown, we received our pizzas from the Overland location......if it was, I think they would have been better. Seems Overland is our delivery point, even though we live closer to the Downtown location....we're never happy with what we get out of that location. Been a long time patron, but keep getting disappointed in the quality of the food. read more

When delivery was 15 minutes late, I called the store to inquire about our order. They stated that the driver would be there in a few minutes. After another 15 minutes, I called to cancel the order and request a refund. I would have accepted an apology for the poor customer service, but I didn't get that or the pizza. Ate there with family January 28th, Sat. - the downtown location . Absolutely first rate. Our children who live in Boise suggested we all go there. There was a little problem with the order - it was promptly corrected at no cost Great service. Wonderful server. Food was delicious. Wonderful charm. Purchased a Chicken Caesar salad -- size large. The price was $8.50. TOTALLY not worth it. You get perhaps 3 cups chopped romaine, 8 croutons, and one ounce of chicken, plus Caesar dressing. The chicken tasted just like deli meat. You can get the almost the same size salad at Wendy's for $1.00. This is not a large salad it is barely a side salad. read more

We live in Star and ordered a Large half Margarita and Half Hawaiian with Olives Pizza to be delivered. The Pizza came without the Tomatoes on one side or the Olives on the other. I called and spoke to the Manager to try to correct the problem and get what we ordered and the Manager only offered us a discount the next time we eat there. I expected Her to do Her job and try and make the customer happy and deliver what we ordered, so I just told Her we would not be eating there again. When trying to eat the Olive Oil and Cheese Pizza, both sides of the pizza tasted like they were cooked on someones garage floor! It's Sad, they used to be a good place to eat. I would give zero stars if that was an option. We ordered a pizza online for delivery. When I called 40 minutes later to inquire where our dinner was, I was informed that they were actually closed when the order was placed. I ordered at 9:17pm and the site said they were open until 10pm. My card was actually charged for the order as well. (Shouldn't the online ordering process inform me that the establishment was closed and not allow my card to be charged?). At the very least, they could have called me to tell me that the order was not coming, so we could make other dinner arrangements at a decent time, instead of at 10pm when we had to call them. Seriously pissed off at the lack of consideration for us and that I was charged and have to deal with a refund now. I will not order from Chicago Connection again and will definitely discourage anyone I know from supporting this unprofessional business. read more
