I came here with my brother and niece after seeing a few friends post stories with their kids. My niece is five years old so we figured this would be a nice place to take her for brunch. She is a very picky eater and ordered the kid's grilled cheese and waffle fries. You can never go wrong with grilled cheese, waffle fries, and milk for a kids meal. My brother ordered the chicken and waffles. He ate his entire dish and didn't find it to be anything special. He said it did not taste bad, but it was "very basic and bland". The chicken definitely looked like it could have been crispier. I am all about trying out a breakfast sandwich whenever I get the chance. I was excited try their breakfast sandwich. It consisted of two eggs, turkey bacon, and American cheese between two mini waffles. It also came with a generous helping of maple syrup. Honestly, if the maple syrup did not come with the sandwich, I do not think I would have finished it. There was not anything necessarily wrong with my sandwich, but it just fell flat for me. The flavors kind of mushed together. I would have liked the savory flavors to be more stronger. Overall, this is a basic breakfast place to go to when you're looking for simple flavors. Another thing to note is that when we went, we were one of four tables seated. I wonder how they are doing business wise. read more

Just happened to stop by and was impressed. Many different kinds of pancakes, waffles, skillets, etc. They have cocktails. The servers weee very friendly. The food was very good. The place was very clean. I'll be going back and trying more of what they have to offer. We ordered the bacon waffle and fried chicken as well as the short rib skillet. Both weee really tasty and well made. There was a lot of short rib in that skillet. They have Lavazza coffee and their cups are big. read more

My Mom and I had brunch here. I guess there was some restaurant here before which she wanted to go to but however that was replaced by this. Upon looking at their menu I said nope we're not coming back here- it was very expensive for what it was. $15.50 for eggs? At a little diner type restaurant? I ordered the steak and eggs, but first asked if it was a popular item. I didn't want to order it if it wasn't. Valerie (a great server,btw) told me it was once of the most popular dishes. Great service. The food wasn't too good. I got the corned beef hash breakfast and everything was undercooked. The amount of undercooked potatoes was very unpleasant. The pancakes were the best part. My gf got the Mexican skillet. It was so spicy she couldn't finish it. Coffee wasn't great either. It's a very cute restaurant...lovely decorations. My husband and I were looking for a breakfast place, so through Yelp we found Chicago Waffles! We went early Saturday morning, the server was prompt and happy to serve us. The restaurant is uniquely decorated kinda retro with a touch of 50's vibe. Welcoming environment! Clean restaurant and bathroom! The water and good coffee in a carafe came quickly while we were looking at their extensive menu! Creative waffle options! I loved the fact that they have offered half orders, senior and kids options! Bravo for taking their customers into consideration!!! The food was great! I did the basic egg, bacon, potatoes, and toast! It was on point! Good job chef! When they get the basics done right it's awesome! My husband had the eggs and hash browns and apple pancakes. I'm guessing the less than 5 star reviews are from service oddities. They seem either understaffed or less than properly managed. I don't care about that because this area is a great foodie desert. This place has great food and coffee. Definitely I will go back when visiting my 86 year old mom. They have a bar which helps when hanging with family. It's not clear from website that there's a bar. Bloody Marys mimosa and other fancy drinks. We all had poached egg type dishes which were great. And if you are a waffle lover then you're in for a treat. read more

Well, three up, three down. This was the third Friday morning in a row that I visited Waffles in Willowbrook. If you read my initial review you know that I was pretty stoked about this place. The second visit was right on par with the first, so what happened today, 7/7/23? Great value for the money (breakfast special), same good flavor. Love those scrambled eggs, ham steak and their unique style of breakfast potato, unfortunately today's breakfast was served lukewarm at best, a far cry from my two previous visits. The ham steak was almost cool to the touch and taste, with the potatoes being pretty much the same. That crispness I loved about them wasn't there, either. The scrambled eggs I so enjoyed previously alternated between warm and barely warm, depending on where I stuck my fork. I had no problem with my Mr. Pibb drink, though. It was full to the brim and ice cold, which it should have been since the glass was 1/3rd ice, and no refill was forthcoming. I finished my meal with a glass of water. Okay, my situation could have been partly my fault. I should have waved my server over and told her the problem, but I didn't. I ate what I was given and didn't enjoy it. I did mention it to her as I paid my check, and NOT expecting any sort of discount. Her reply was that she'd mention it to the cook(s). I waited and watched at the register to see what she'd do but she just went about her business, serving customers. I was served my meal within minutes of ordering it and I thought I was one lucky person...hot and fresh from the griddle. Wrong. Now I wonder if they have things pre made and ready to dish out. I originally mentioned that I'd like this to be my weekly early Friday morning breakfast spot. Well, my thoughts on that have cooled considerably on that idea. I really wish there had been a manager available to voice my gripe to. Instead, I'm writing this review that won't change anything. It's a shame this happened. By the way, had I gotten the $18.00 meat lover's skillet there would be no doubt that I would have spoken up. Did I just say $18.00 for a breakfast dish? That's insane. **EDIT** After my initial complementary review a message was left a Waffles representative thanking me. Now, as I expected after this less than glowing review that sighted the problems I encountered, there's no message apologizing or even acknowledging that there was a problem. That's okay, there are other good breakfast spots, like Patty's Sunrise Cafe in Burr Ridge and Tony's Breakfast Cafe in Brookfield. read more

My first time visiting Waffles and my mom and I had a great experience. I ordered the egg white omelette with shredded chicken and it was delicious. My mom generally does not eat lunch so she just got an espresso. After the meal the staff delivered a complementary strawberry waffle which was a great surprise! Really enjoyed the omelettes here, they also offer some good quality coffee and Mimosas too. We have visited a few times now and would recommend this place for a breakfast or lunch. My husband and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast at this location. One thing we loved is they offer 1/2 orders on some of the more popular dishes.
