I met some friends here for a late lunch. We're all enjoyed this deep dish sausage, pepper and mushroom pizza with a pitcher of beer. The cheese was delicious and the crust was baked well. It's a nice sized place with a few big screens. The service was friendly, but I'm not sure if there's actual table service or if they ordered at the counter. I'd go back again!

Everything about the pizza is great...except the crust. The sauce is nice, the toppings were good (pepperoni and sausage and mushroom) and there was a TON of cheese (we did have extra cheese as a topping). But the crust is...too moist? It's almost wet or undercooked (and I know the pizza looks over done but the bottom, especially at the outside of the crust is not). Maybe this is from having it in the car for 10 minutes to take it home? But it was just weirdly baked for the crust. Would try it again if someone else suggested this place and we did toss a few slices in the fridge (because again, it's HUGE) so would update if the reheat solves that issue.

Chicago Pizza is a very homey place. It has very authentic vibes. We went to try their Chicago style pizza. We got the meat lovers pizza and it was loaded with meat and cheese. You can also order an advance since the Chicago style pizza takes at least 45 minutes. I ordered 20 minutes before we got there and it was nice and ready.. The staff was really nice and I had my order ready and brought it to the table. We went for the Chicago Pizza but when we looked around, we saw people with other dishes that looked amazing. We will be back to try other dishes and also it is a great date night spot or a spot for the family.

Wowzers! How do you perfect the perfect pizza? Go from vegetarian awesome pizza to meat lover's AWESOMER PIZZA! which is exactly what we did today when we choose this pizza! Indescribable flavor, homemade, bootie frozen or made quickly. Like I said before, love takes time and yes. Delicious pepperoni, ham and sausage melted together with the cheese into a thick, flaky buttery crust is worth driving from anywhere is SA. this pizza is a must try!

Absolutely horrible. We arrived around 6pm and by 8:15pm only one person out of our party of 3 had received their food. The waitress then told us she never gave the ticket to the cooks... service was mid the establishment was decent but didn't really give a clean or sanitary vibe. They at least comped the one meal we received. Do not waste your time or money on this place as it sucks!

Tried the deep dish pizza for the first time and it was amazing delicious . This is a must try pizza and I was impressed!!!

Here's the receipt she gave me

I WILL NOT COME TO THIS PLACE EVER!! I came in with my daughter and her aunt and I never had Chicago pizza. Decided to try this place I had gotten the Chicago style 12 in and it was ok not the best pizza a lot of sauce which is the Chicago style but what really was the problem was I left the waitress a 6 dollar tip on the table in cash . My total came out to $42.09 for one pizza and 3 sodas. My card was charged 50.51. Where did that number come from I went back in and she said I only charged you for the 42.09 I called my bank and they said nope the girl charged me 50.51. I will not come back here the waitress just stole from me. Y'all need to do better and stop stealing from everyone.

This deep dish pizza is a contender for great taste with other deep dish pies across the nation. If you are in San Antonio and crave an authentic deep dish you won't regret coming here.

I love Chicago style deep dish pizza, so I hoped to find a good place here in San Antonio. I order a large and a medium with various toppings. When I picked them up, the staff were very friendly. I thought it might have been too much for just me and my boyfriend. It actually took us 4 days to eat all of it. Both pizzas were amazing! Full of flavor and cooked perfectly.

The first night I was greeted by a friendly host and sat at the bar, where Billy took great care of me. He recommended the Cotto e Salsiccia, and I'm so glad he did. It was easily one of the best pizzas I've had. While I was there, the cheesemaker let me try a bite of the fresh mozzarella they were making in-house. It was still warm and absolutely delicious. The next night I was feeling a little homesick after being away for work, and all I could think about was that pizza. I walked back in and the host greeted me by name. I sat at the bar again, where another bartender remembered me from the night before, and Billy came over just to say hi. It seems like such a small thing, but when you're traveling alone, being welcomed back like that can completely change your evening. What really impressed me was seeing that it wasn't just me. The guy next to me ordered two pizzas to go, and when the chef brought them out he smiled and said, "Oh, Jose! I thought this order looked familiar!" You can tell they actually know their regulars and genuinely enjoy what they do. The second night I ordered the Fontina e Salsiccia, and somehow it was just as good as the first pizza. Everything is cooked in the wood-fired oven--even the wings--and you can taste the difference. The crust has that perfect char, the ingredients are fresh, and it's the kind of authentic Neapolitan pizza that keeps you thinking about it long after you've left. I've eaten at a lot of good restaurants while traveling, but very few have made me feel as welcome as Dough did. Great food is one thing. Great people are what made me come back the very next day. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in San Antonio.

When I asked why they have a hot plate shelf next to the entrance and that I burned my arm on it, the manager and greeter state? There is a sign! They took no responsibility for the ill placement of the sign! As you walk in, we saw several People back into the shelf to allow others to get buy! I can see a child burning their hand terribly on this! What did the restaurant do? Nothing... several times we suggested something be done and not until the manager realized that yes, this is a problem did he do something remotely responsible. I couldn't enjoy the food! I was upset? Hurting and taken back by the terrible way they handled the situation. For reference, I'll show you the picture with the barrier.

Every dish feels thoughtfully curated with tried-and-true recipes rooted in Chef Luca and his family's Northern Italian traditions. This is the kind of place where quality takes priority over quantity. Our server, Gary, was fantastic. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and passionate about Italian food and wine. His recommendations were spot-on and his enthusiasm felt so genuine. We started with a bread basket accompanied by a little sampling of tapenade, which was savory, briny, and a perfect complement to the warm bread. Came in with a group of four, we kicked things off with the burrata starter--a surprisingly fun and shareable adventure of baked burrata, fresh crostini, roasted cauliflower, asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, and basil cream. There was a lot happening on the plate, but it all worked beautifully together. For our entrées, we ordered the Tartufo, Cinghiale, Bolognese, and Carbonara. And let me just say, the Tartufo was a full-on dinner performance. Gary brought out steaming hot tagliatelle pasta and tossed it tableside inside a giant wheel of Parmesan. He then topped it with crab meat in brown butter before finishing it with a generous shaving of truffle. Every bite was like a perfectly timed symphony of flavors--rich, savory, buttery, and earthy, with nothing outshining the other. I'd put this dish up against anyone's nonna. I sampled the other three entrées as well, and every one was delicious. The gnocchi in the Cinghiale is an absolute must-try--pillowy, texturally delightful, and packed with flavor. Thank you, Nonna Osteria, for such an epic culinary experience. And a special shoutout to Gary for guiding us through the menu and making an already great dinner even better.
