I arrived for the first time to this location and was immediately greeted with a good morning from the employees. It wasn't many inside ordering, however the team was prompt and professional taking and giving orders in a timely manner. The facility is clean and well kept, bathrooms clean and hand sanitizer is readily available. The food was hot and delicious as always. Since this location is new I wish the owner and staff the best of luck! Congratulations to this location!!

I love chicken and I love the way Chick-fil-a makes it. I love everything from their salads to their nuggets to their sandwiches. My favorite salad is the Cobb Salad. Their salad puts some uppity restaurant's Cobb Salads to shame. Chick-fil-a's Cobb Salad consists of their signature nuggets served on fresh mixed greens, topped a blend of cheeses, roasted corn kernels, crumbled bacon, slices of boiled egg and grape tomatoes. It comes with your choice of salad dressings and a small packet of Crispy Red Bell Peppers. You can substitute their nuggets for grilled chicken (cold or warm), chicken strips and/or spicy filet. I have a sweet tooth and I am a sucker for their cookie and cream milkshake. It comes topped with whipped cream and a cherry. I recently ordered the Frosted Lemonade and I am in love. Ooooh la la. How can you go wrong with lemonade and ice cream. YUM This is a new location. It is located at the top of the metro escalator on the left hand side headed in the direction of CVS. It is directly across the street from the mall. The staff has always been courteous. The location is clean and the food is always good. I recommend it and will definitely go back again.

This Chick-fil-A is located near the eastern exit of the Pentagon City Metro Station via either the escalator or elevator. I came here several times during my most recent trip out to the Washington DC area. There was a bunch of construction just outside of the restaurant. All of the employees that I had interacted with were all nice and friendly. One employee was an older lady that was going around cleaning each table as soon as people leave. She was genuinely a nice person. The food quality was excellent each time. You'll need to ask for a code to use their restroom.

Service has its moments, but the portions given are my problem. This has been a constant problem.

OVER SALTED fires EVERY SINGLE TIME! Like it's unbearable and it's happened to me 4 times at the PC location.

This Black-owned restaurant has built a reputation for serving some of the best fried chicken sandwiches in the area, and after one visit, it's easy to understand the hype. The Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich deserves every bit of praise it gets -- perfectly crispy chicken, soft bread, and that sweet/spicy balance that keeps you coming back. The OG Nashville sandwich is another standout if you like heat with real flavor behind it. Their tenders are always juicy, the fries are seasoned well, and the Rooster Sauce should honestly be bottled and sold separately. Breakfast is also severely underrated here. The honey butter biscuit and chicken biscuit are easily some of the best breakfast sandwiches in DC. What I appreciate most is the consistency. The chicken is always fresh, crispy, and cooked to order. Portion sizes are generous, and even online reviewers constantly mention how flavorful the sandwiches are and how the fries alone can feed multiple people. The DMV definitely supports this place for a reason. Reddit threads regularly call it one of the best chicken sandwich spots in DC, with people saying the Honey Butter sandwich is "life changing" and even comparing it favorably against national chains. If you're visiting U Street and craving comfort food done right, Roaming Rooster absolutely deserves a stop.

But honestly, it was worth the wait. I've only ate here once and in the DMV, I've tried three different fried chicken places in the last 30 days and this was easily one of the best ones. Everything here is truly cooked to order unlike those other restaurants that pop everything in the microwave or have it already made and just reheat it for you. Everything was flavorful but I will say for me, the medium wasn't that spicy and the chicken itself didn't have any sauce aside from the condiments added at the end, but I would definitely go again and try something spicier. I got the junior sandwich that came with two chicken breast tenders and that's important to know to because the picture shows an actual chicken breast, but the sandwich comes with only tenders, coleslaw, pickles and their special sauce inside of a brioche bread. The other sandwich I ordered was just the giant version and it had a full chicken breast. I will say that the person taking my order told me the junior sandwich was pretty big which is why I opted to get that one instead of the regular sandwich and in theory if you get it with a drink and eat a whole side of french fries it would be enough but I just wanted the sandwich and I was splitting fries so I was actually still hungry even after having my small sandwich, but it gave me space for ice cream later There are a few tables in the actual restaurant and chairs along the walls but you're lucky if you get a table at this place because it's so packed but also so delicious. I'm not sure if I met the manager or the owner but they're so kind. There was a little boy crying and they came out and brought him some toys to play with. This is truly our neighborhood gem and while I know there are others in the DMV, from what I hear this one is one of the best so check them out.

Both times I've ordered the same thing - a quarter dark meat with one side. It comes with basmati rice (which you can sub out for a different side) and a choice of a salad, coleslaw, and corn. I've chosen the coleslaw both times - I find it so unique, with its cabbage and basil-like dressing. Definitely NOT your usual slaw. I will try the corn one of these days, though. On to the chicken - They give you a good amount of chicken and it is very, very juicy. I can't comment about the skin (I don't eat the skin, I take it off...I know to some of you that's a sin!) but my co-workers have previously commented that it is nicely seasoned. They also provide you with a mild barbeque sauce, and today they gave me a new sauce, which was curry-based. It's slightly thicker than the barbeque sauce, which while it has good flavor, is a bit thinner (it complements, not overpowers, the chicken). I alternated between both sauces today. I have to also complement the owner/manager - I had exactly $8 in cash (keep forgetting about the taxes for food trucks!) so he let me go without paying the $.80, that was really nice of him. I'll be sure to give it back to him next time! Overall, a solid, filling meal, and I would return!

Whew-this place was everything that I needed on a calm Sunday. As mentioned, I ordered online so I haven't visited the location in person yet. But, after my experience with the food, I'm eager to take the trip and check them out. I ordered the 2 piece tenders which came with a side of duck fat fries. I then paired it with the mother sauce and extra pickles. These chicken tenders were huge cuts and perfectly fried. The seasoning on this meat was perfect, not too salty and not bland at all. It was just right! The mother sauce took the chicken tenders over the top with each dip and honestly, whatever is in this sauce needs to be bottled and sold lol. The duck fat fries were addictive because of a dry seasoning sprinkled on them. Add that to hot crispy fries and you've got magic! Definitely recommend this menu selection. The chicken sandwich sliders were delicious, with juicy chicken and a soft biscuit, but the honey drizzle was a little overpowering for my taste. I'd recommend asking for the honey on the side so you can control the sweetness while still enjoying the flavors of the chicken and biscuit. The scrambled eggs were decent, but nothing particularly memorable. They were presented beautifully on a stylish plate, though the taste itself was fairly standard. I did not find the sauce to be particularly spicy so I added the 'extra hot' sauce on the side, which helped to add more flavor. Surprisingly, the chicken breast was very moist, along with the thigh. The ambience is casual and relaxed. There are plenty circular or modular seats along with smaller tables along the back end of the restaurant. My biggest complaint was their restrooms. They have gender neutral restrooms; two stalls total. Both restrooms were in great need of cleaning with a LOT of bodily fluids all along the toilets and floors. Also, there was no option for hand towels, only an air blower to dry your hands, which is one of the most disgusting ways to dry freshly washed hands. I recommend either creating one male and one female stall instead of unisex because men and women have very different habits in the restroom. There was a sign, but it wasn't very noticeable when we walked in, so we completely missed it. A quick explanation when we were seated would have made a much better first impression. Once we realized how ordering worked, everyone went to the counter. I ordered last, but my meal was fairly simple: The Wingman (6 wings with PERi Chips and PERi-PERi ranch) plus a side of rice from the kids' menu. Everyone else received their food, ate, and finished before my order ever came out. To the staff's credit, one employee noticed I still hadn't been served and appeared to rush my order. When my food finally arrived, I was disappointed to find one of my six wings was so small and burnt that it wasn't edible (see photo). Some of the other chicken served to our table was also a little over-charred. On the positive side, I really enjoyed the lavender lemonade, and I liked the variety of PERi-PERi sauces available to customize the flavor and heat level. Overall, the experience had some service and food quality issues, but there were enough positives that I'd be willing to give Nando's another try. Hopefully, the next visit will be smoother.
