Food is okay... but staff is super friendly.. always a go too when passing through Bangor and need something quick

First visit to Chick-fil-A and it won't be my last! Great food, great service. The waffle fries were better than any fast food fry I've tasted. The food was hot, quick and well prepared. As a former CFA employee from another location, I was saddened by the customer service, or lack thereof, that my family and I experienced this morning. I have been to this location many times since moving to Maine and the customer service has been top notch but this morning was not the case. First, there were only two vehicles in the drive thru and we waited for more than 5 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us on the speaker. Secondly, the wait in the drive thru exceeded 10 minutes, once we got up to the window, we were then told to park up front to wait even longer for our food as it was not ready. When the gentleman finally brought out the food, he did not apologize for our wait but was instead chatting it up with a bystander about an arcade. I was shocked at the poor customer service as I know the first thing you should do when a customer has waited for their food is to apologize for their wait. I usually never write reviews but I know the high standard that CFA holds and likes to maintain so I thought it best to bring this to management's attention in order to improve customer service and experience with their morning staff. I look forward to better experiences in the future as my family and I are loyal customers to this brand. read more

My favorite meal, that I always buy and will ever eat at Chick-fil-A is the deluxe Chick-fil-A with bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomato. It's my favorite, along with the waffle fries and a lemonade. It's so good I don't want to eat anything else from them. read more

Me and my family visited this chick-fil-a for dinner and we had an above average experience. My family had never had chick-fil-a before since we are from Vermont so I was so excited to show them my favorite things on the menu and even try a few new items like the mac and cheese. We were waited on by a girl named Evan (that is the name on our receipt at least, i tried to get her name before but she wasn't wearing a name tag so i looked at the receipt later on after we had left the restaurant) and she was super nice and engaged in conversation with us beyond just taking our order. we took sort of long to order since my family had never been there before and she was very understanding and helped us chose what to eat, giving her recommendations to us. we also got to talking about how i'll be attending UMaine this fall and we had a great conversation. costumer service is almost always incredible at all chick fil a's but when a employee goes out of their way to make you feel special/important and engages in real conversation with you it makes the whole experience so much better. along with the incredible customer service i experienced, our food was ready extremely quickly and tasted great! Hands down the best food and best customer service in fast food! The employees are always so kind and helpful. I love that they have systems both inside and outside for fast and smooth ordering. Chick-fil-A is always a hit in our house. This particular morning I had so many appointments and was starving by the time I was done. I've never had a breakfast item at any of their restaurants. I will make an effort to go more often because I had the chicken with biscuits. The biscuits were very fresh along with the chicken. The staff was friendly and very upbeat. I was truly disappointed. I wanted a crispy chicken sandwich like at McDonalds or Burger King, but wanted to give chick-fil-a a try! Big mistake! No lettuce, no tomato, only two small pickles....and the chicken meat was dried out, as if under heat lamp too long. Service and people were great! read more

For what this places is, they do a very good job. The wait staff is exceptionally friendly and the service is wonderful. The chicken sandwiches are good for fast food. They also have a playground set up where parents and grandparents can have lunch and still watch the little ones. A very thoughtful design. read more

This place is a huge deal to many people, as it is the first Chic-fil-A in Maine. If you enjoy the speed and food from fast food restaurants and your favorite option is chicken related, this is the place for you. Sure it's not healthy or something you should have everyday, but if you love chicken and want a cheat day, come here. It gets quite busy, but the friendly and attentive service helps keep the lines moving. If you eat in, they have table service and bring your food to you when it's ready, a nice rarity of fast food of the area. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner so good place for anytime of the day. They have fried and grilled chicken sandwiches, nuggets, chicken fingers, and a chicken salad sandwich for entree offerings with salads and sides available as well. I personally recommend the spicy deluxe sandwich, if you can handle some heat (don't worry nothing too spicy). With their side of fries and they do them waffle style, be ready to possibly grab some salt though as they have under-seasoned at this location before. Overall though you can't find better service and quality/taste of food in the fast food realm than you get here, anywhere else in the Bangor area. read more

This place has gone way downhill. The last 3 times we've been here, they've gotten our orders completely wrong. Since they were takeout orders, we did not notice the errors until we got home, and we weren't about to drive clear across town just to go back and have it corrected, especially after a long, busy day. Tonight, I ordered my usual, a chicken sandwich with NO pickles or tomatoes, but with lettuce. What did I get? A sandwich loaded with pickles and tomatoes and totally void of any lettuce. This is not the the first time they have done this. Seriously, how is it even possible to screw up a chicken sandwich with lettuce? My order was not the least bit difficult, in fact probably one of the simplest things you can order there! The waffle fries were also cold and soggy and the bread on our sandwiches tasted stale. They did not even give us any of the sauces that we ordered and my husband was missing his order of chicken fingers. Since we have now had multiple poor experiences here, we will not be returning. read more

Most Chick-fil-As we've been to have been very clean. We found this not to be the case in Bangor. Although the restaurant was not very busy, we had trouble finding a clean table to sit at. Many of the tables had stains and had liter on them. The one we did finally sit at was sticky as was the floor which also had a lot of food pieces and trash. Someone should audit this franchise. The grilled chicken club was not hot and the tomato was not ripe with a green center. The waffle fries were very good but again cool. The frozen lemonade was delicious. Not happy and will go to Wendy's next time. read more

Crushing disappointment. We love Chick Fil A and were up in Bangor for just 15 hours. Got it with my 3 daughters last night - Delicious as always! At lunch today, I decided to get a salad to go to take home with me. Home is 3 hours away. Imagine my disappointment as I tucked in to enjoy my salad as a major snowstorm heads our way. It was a Cobb instead of Spicy Chicken! I don't do bacon or egg so it ended up in the trash. To be fair I should have checked the order...but...I didn't and I'm really sad now. read more

Great place. Very clean. Super food. What impressed me a lot was that the Operator (manager?) himself was going around and sweeping up under and around the tables. And not just for a couple of minutes but for the whole time (20 minutes?) that we were there. Talk about being a servant-leader! Very well done. read more
