What I do with a kid's meal and add a side salad
    Annalisa P.

This Chick-fil-A is busy 24/6 (minus Sundays). My bf and I decided to dine in instead of going through the long drive thru to grab a bite to eat before watching the Red River Shootout UT game at Little Woodrow's Midtown. We appreciated the police officer who was directing traffic at the drive thru, parking lot, and pedestrians walking inside the restaurant. This location was nice and clean. There wasn't a line inside because everyone seemed to be at the drive thru. Each table had a fresh flower and greenery which was a nice touch. The motion activated trash bins are great! I love the touchless system cause I hate the dirty doors that you usually have to push open. My bf had been wanting to try the new honey pepper pimento chicken sandwich with spicy filet. I took a bite, and it was delicious. The sweetness from the honey, buttered bun, pimento, spicy filet and pickled jalapeño was a perfect blend of sweet, salty, savory, and spicy. The meal is $11.79 which is on the pricier end. I ordered the 5 ct nuggets kid's meal and used my points for a free side salad with avocado lime ranch dressing. I like to turn my salad into a chicken salad. Love the crispy bell peppers. Overall, this location on Shearn St. is solid. It stays busy especially because it's near populated places like the Target in the Heights and right off I-10.

I love Chick-Fil-A so much because I can always depend on them to treat employees well, to provide great service, and to correct their mistakes. At least I thought I could. On my lunch break, I placed a mobile order and picked up the food in the drive-thru. (I made sure to get strips for my Great Dane Luna who loves the chicken!) Sadly, when I got to my home office, I learned that I had not received the strips. I called as soon as I took a break from my calls. I was told that I had to return to the store within 30 days to get the strips or I had to go to the store for a refund. I explained the fact that I travel often and probably won't return to that specific location soon. I asked for an email address or a telephone number to inquire about having the points on my app credited. The person answering the phone asked me to call back. When I offered to hold, the call was disconnected. I had previously provided my name and the order number. My telephone number appears in the order. She could have reached out if she had made a mistake. Crickets over here... I was trying not to cancel CFA when they switched to these terrible fries, but maybe there's more wrong with CFA than I previously thought.

Great location close to other stores like Target. Has a parking lot and 3 drive thru lanes. I enjoy their food anytime of the day. They are closed on Sundays and wish they are open but I respect their choice to stay closed. Service is always sweet, nice and quick. A little more upscale interior setting than a normal fast food place.

Free food in Houston, Texas! I had a notification on my phone for free food! The Breakfast Before Books Program encourages everyone to start their day off right with breakfast! The only thing is that the offer is redeemable only before 10:30am. Also, Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays. Another obstacle was finding a nearby location. I drove to three Chick-fil-A restaurants in the downtown area and all three were nonexistent. Hmmm... I was determined to get a free breakfast, so, thank goodness that this location on Shearn Street was open. After parking easily, I walked up to the counter (because the drive-thru had a long line). I showed my QR code to the cashier and got my free Chicken Biscuit - no problem! Wow! This makes me want to return tomorrow! The REAL chicken was moist, tender, and seasoned well. The biscuit was soft and didn't fall apart. Yum! Too bad that the free offer is only redeemable once a week. Next week, the free food offer will be Spicy Chicken Biscuit... shucks! I'll pass on the spicy!

I never said I wanted mustard with my parfait

Worst cashier her name is Mona this morning, first she was not standing at her post then was upset cause she was taking my order. I asked for a granola parfait with extra granola so she put mustard on my order and thought that was funny. I don't understand when I did nothing to her but this isn't funny. Customers please beware.

    1. Service is always inconsistent everyone is grumpy strange for a Chick-fil-A 2. My waffle fries were cold 3. I asked for a pup cup the manager on duty told me they can't do it because it's a safety hazard ? Yet several other Chick-fil-A a in the area do this safety hazard ? The owner needs to step up and review the management . Just because you have a high volume store doesn't mean the service Chick-fil-A is known for should be less than .. if at all possible I would avoid this location.

It's a lot of my mornings stop. I've noticed is a hit and missed with service, however they are showing an improvement. I was greeted at window by I believe (Arly), she was very nice and took the time to explained my order. She also spoke Spanish.

While being pregnant it's hard for me to eat things I used to like . I can't even stand the majority of fried food and chicken being alone. But for some reason I can still manage to eat chick fil a and be fine. Today I ordered the breakfast chicken sandwich with tots and sweet tea. But when I opened it I found a piece of egg...and a green thing inside the tot. I kinda just broke off and inspected everything I ate from that point on. I don't know but it threw me off. I think imma lay off Chick-fil-A for awhile no matter how much I crave it. ‍

They offer a menu that really covers a lot of different cravings. Their namesake taquitos look appetizing, but my main focus was their Tuesday Taco box. You get 10 tacos, with a ground beef or potato option, as well as a large order of fries. The box included a large red sauce and a couple of green sauces. The green was my favorite. I opted to get 5 and 5. If you order online, you have to specify in the order comments/notes section. The tacos were crispy. They were stuffed with cheese and lettuce, in addition to the ground beef/ potatoes. The fries were crispy. The best part, on Tuesdays, the entire box is 25.00! It was a good experience. Pickup was fast and they were so nice. It's a family owned business and they aim to please.

I wouldn't say this place is an authentic Mexican food spot, but it's close enough. Tex Mex if you will. We were trying to find something to eat in the area to meet up some fam and came across this place on Yelp. I actually had it bookmarked for awhile so I was more than happy to cross another spot of my to do list. Located in a busy shopping center in the Heights, there is alot of parking available, but at busy times, you may need to drive around a little. The restaurant itself isn't huge, but there was plenty of seating inside as well as a small patio outside. I like that they also have board games and what not so they aren't trying to rush you out, but want to make it seem like a hangout spot. Customer service was amazing from start to finish. The young lady taking our order went above and beyond explaining their concept and describing each item they had. During our meal, they checked in on us frequently and made sure we were enjoying our experience. You may or may not have guessed it by the name, but Roll Em Up Taquitos specializes in taquitos. A taquito is a rolled up tortilla filled with different toppings and then deep fried. How can you go wrong with that! They also have items like tacos, a taco burger, taco salads, bowls, nachos and loaded fries. We came for the namesake item. Between our group, we got all the different varieties of taquitos available. I got a 4 pack in which you can mix and match fillings. I went with all the options of beef, chicken and potato. You then pick your topping style. They have loaded which is a cheesy, saucy options. OG is more of a traditional preparation with lettuce, queso fresco, guac and sour cream. Enchilada style is doused with enchilada sauce and cheese. I got mine loaded. The packs also come with rice and beans. For 13 bucks, it's a pretty hearty meal. The taquitos came out freshly made and had the most wonderful crunch with every bite, even with all the sauces. I imagine getting them to go or waiting awhile might take away from how it is intended to be eaten. I tried bites of the other variations and they were all tasty. I think I like the OG way the best though. The taquitos were delicious, but the big surprise was how delicious the rice and beans were. We couldn't stop talking about how good it was. We also tried a side of the street corn in a cup. This item was not a fave of the table. It was too citrus forward and something I would skip next time. For drinks, they have fountain drinks, refreshers, Jamaica and even horchata. I went with a mango refresher which was very refreshing and tasty. To finish it all off, we had to satisfy the sweet tooth with some churro donuts. These things were so so good. They made sure to bring it out towards the end of the meal so they were hot and fresh. I recommend everyone requests it that way. I wish this spot wasn't so far from home. Well maybe it's a good thing because I would be here often. I will most definitely be back if in the area.

Nice cozy place, perfect setting for fried chicken. I am sure they had other stuff, but that was the mission for this visit. Started with fried pickle spears, probably the best I have ever had, no joke. Perfect coating, taste and preparation. I like the spears vs the chips. Had the special which was to legs and two thighs for the price of the 3 pc dark. Beans and slaw. Ok, the chicken was great, moist, seasoned, very well cooked. I will go out of my way to go here for the chicken. Beans, canned with a little flavor added, nothing to brag about the slaw was pretty good. The fries on my friend's plate looked great. Perfect. We got here at about 1145, the place was busy. By 1215, it was packed, but they move people through and do a booming take out. Try it, you will like it. It satisfied my fried chicken desire and. But I was wrong, this restaurant is amazing. The hamburger bouncer was one of the nicest people, and made great recommendations for me and my group. The service ended up being so fantastic from the counter and the staff. As to the recommendations. The chopped and screwed fries were perfect, the bodega sauce and the aioli were amazing, the milkshakes were classic. The burgers were absolutely delicious. This is the epitome of a smash burger. The upstairs seating area was actually a nice hangout spot too, breezy with fans and a relaxed energy. The staff were also very attentive and quick to clear plates/check in. That said, the food didn't really live up to the hype for me. I tried the double smash burger and the chopped cheese sandwich. As someone who really loves smash burgers, I was surprised by how bland the double smash burger was. The fries were easily the best part of the meal for me. Crispy, not greasy, and battered style fries. I wouldn't get them "animal style" again though; the creamy sauce felt like overkill. The chopped cheese also wasn't my favorite... it was pretty soggy and felt like there wasn't enough filling to balance the bread. I also noticed the inside of the restaurant felt a bit unclean in areas, especially around the soda fountain and ketchup stations. Overall, I'm glad I checked it out once for the experience and aesthetics, but I wouldn't go back specifically for the food.
