George and I are officially obsessed with the new Jalapeño Ranch Club--specifically the spicy version. It's easily our new favorite. The only problem? If I could give 0 stars I would.. For starters, when I was waiting in the drive thru the workers came all the way to my car even though I was at least 5 cars away from the menu. If I was a first time customer, I would have had no idea what to order unless I had a phone to look up the menu beforehand. So not only could we not see the menu when we were ordering, the delivery of our order was also extremely confusing. The workers looked very disorganized and walked our orders to our cars while we were by the menu (which was nowhere near the pick up window). So even though we had received our orders, we still had to wait in the drive thru because the cars in front of us had not received their orders yet. The whole process just felt extremely disorganized and the workers didn't seem to be organized with delivering all the food either. On top of everything, when our family was eating the food we found a hair in the chicken sandwich AND TWO in the cobb salad. So not only was the service confusing and disorganized, the quality of the food was also quite disappointing. I will not be returning to this location. read more

Although it's not my 1st time trying food from a Chick-fil-A (my 1st experience was in L.A.), I must say my 2nd go around was much better than my 1st experience. So it's 3:30 PM, and I was finally able to stop & grab something to eat for my lunch, so I decided to swing by the Chick-fil-A in Kahului. Located at the Puunene Shopping Center in Kahului, you can find this Chick-fil-A, among the other businesses like - Planet Fitness, Target, Petco, Ulta Beauty, & Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union. Upon walking into the restaurant, I was so surprised at how spacious the restaurant was. Of course trying to eat lunch during "off hours", ya know that you'll probably don't have to wait too long to place your food order, as well as getting you food. Upon looking over the wall menu, I decided to get the Spicy Chicken Deluxe meal which consisted of a deep fried spicy chicken sandwich with all da fixings, waffle fries, & a drink. I want to say this is a 3 1/2 star place. The human interactions were very good people kind of lean into you and pay attention to you. I thought the food was OK not fantastic. The tomatoes on my sandwich for trying to Styrofoam to miss and I thought this the grilled chicken could be seasoned a little better. Also fries were good. It's kind of ridiculous. You have to pay extra for Chick-fil-A sauce. Ketchup packets were confusing to use at first, but once you got used to them they worked OK. A better selection of sauces and dressings are required. I live on Maui and come here multiple times a month. I have found the food to be pretty consistently good and have had very few issues. One of the only complaints I have ever had is the salt level on the french fries varies, sometimes they have hardly any salt, sometimes too much salt, and other times they are perfectly salted. I think they need to get the salting technique figured out so it's always right. Occasionally it can be pretty busy and I have waited longer than I wanted, but I haven't found it to be too outrageous. I will keep coming and I have to mention that the milkshakes here are great! read more

A worker (big and tall who likes to tell jokes to customers) well, I was pretty stunned and shocked the way he was "talking story" to tourists trying to educate them on how the haole stole lands from the Hawaiians...etc, etc, etc! I'm born and raised on Maui and I found it disturbing and inappropriate to say the things he was saying. The couple and their daughter were tourists. It was such a turn off!! I stared at him talking to them in shock! Then he goes around wiping tables and bothering people that's "eating" telling his stupid "knock knock jokes! I thought I've seen it all but this was a new one. His jokes wasn't funny and he expects them to answer. I just wanted to leave because it was truly annoying! Another great visit to my favorite chicken sandwich. This time I proceeded inside to the wide open dining area with several seating areas and a centrally located condiment area. The center condiment area is well stocked with hand sanitizer, napkins, individual packaged sauces & even melt-a-way mints! There are also lots of friendly servers cruising around to assist you with your dine in experience. I tipped my server a few bucks for his friendly and continuous curtesy check ins. Great food and a well lit, clean and comfortable dining area. I'll be back, but not as frequently as other fast food options. Chick-fil-A is NOT CHEAP EATS! I ordered food for me and my family, the worker asked me if I wanted sauce so I said yes. she asked me what sauce I want and I said Chick Fil A Sauce. I check the order details taped to the bag and it said there were 4 sauces. I trusted Chick Fil A to have my sauces in the bag. But when I arrived home and was ready to eat, I was VERY disappointed to find out that there were absolutely NO sauces in the bag. Me and my family were beyond devastated and disappointed to find no sauce in the bag. I feel misled and lied to because they said that the sauces were in the bag and I trusted the workers, but to avail there were no sauces in sight. I usually have no problems with ordering from Chick Fil A but this instance is making me question whether or not to order from them again. Please fix this issue because I really enjoy eating Chick Fil A and I don't want this to ruin me ordering from this establishment again. We were not going to wait in those long lines, so we actually took a chance late one evening when there were no lines, and ordered chicken sandwiches. That's the meal this place is known for, right? Not very impressed with the meal. Chicken patty was on the smallish side, not very crispy, and the bread was ordinary, dressing was not noteworthy. There is a excellent chicken sandwich from a local chain, Teddy's Bigger Burgers, which is actually very close to this restaurant. The service was very friendly and pleasant, and thus, I added a star .The place also appeared to very clean, with no stickiness on tables to be found. Chick-fil-A is also known for its service, besides its chicken sandwiches, but the welcoming, smiling service my spouse and I received was no different than service I would have received at other restaurants or food chains. I am speaking, most of the time. Of course, peeps going to have their off-days ;). Maui locals and residents are usually pleasant, smile and say good morning or hello to their customers in other establishments. If Chick-fil-A is known for their good service, a level of service which is typical for here on Maui, then honestly, this tells me a lot more about the continent than the restaurant. We won't be returning. Very efficient drive through I must say. There are two drive through lines to choose from. We chose the right one. Ours went pretty quickly. You order from the person standing by the menu and then move up to pick up your order. Pretty smart system they got going on. Staff seems super friendly and on it. Food was the normal. Got the regular chicken sandwich with the waffle fries and a drink. Nothing spectacular but good if you want a chicken sandwich. Now that the dust has settled I'm reviewing this after experiencing grand opening week dining in, drive through the month after, dining in the month after. They have great service - hands down. Aloha all, I must confess, My name is Judy C. I am a Fan and LOVE Chick-Fil-A !! so this day trip to Maui was one of the reasons to visit C-F-A. Super happy that they finally opened here on the islands, I can't wait for Oahu soon. First Stop besides stopping for coffee is Yep, Chick-Fil-A, the drive thru line was craazy long, we avoided the drive thru and wanted to dine in and check out the new restaurant. The plan was to get something light to share so we can go to another biz ( breakfast) on my list to try, but after finishing our meals, we skipped that plan and I went in line to order more! hehe. We arrived close to 10 am, the lines wasn't so bad, noticed many employees working which is a great thing! I placed my order, with the friendly & happy cashier. The ordering was quick, the wait for our meals took awhile, which I am okay with, it gave me time to check out the restaurant and chat with my other half about the rest of our plans for Maui. We got our food, chicken biscuit, hash browns, side biscuit and Wow, I usually don't get breakfast when we visit the mainland usually its lunch/dinner. So this was a treat! The biscuit was super tasty and already buttered, so good with jam! Get the special tea they have for a limited time, so refreshing. Went back to get the mini, and biscuit! The mini are cute but not my favorite! The chicken is so tender, this is why I am such an addict! & The sauce, brings back memories, I got one of each sauce for our hash brown! I love that the store is so welcoming, very nice and clean! There are lots of tables for all to enjoy with a local touch, with the tropical flowers on each table and love the different frame with local words. I love the ambience, everyone was just enjoying their time here, perfect for family time here. When I went back to order more food, I noticed many customers were waiting for the lunch menu to start up. Owner Sean Whaley ( noticed his photo on the wall) was at the restaurant, he seemed helpful, saw him helping out at the front, talking to customers and also conducted an interview right next to the table we were sitting at. All in all, I am happy I got to visit the very first Chick Fil A on Maui and got my chix fix in! I might be back again for more, if I can't wait for Oahu's Chick-Fil-A. My only wish is that if the employees continue to comment on how many sauces we eat with our food that they either increase the size so we're asking for less or simply charge a few cents so that we don't have to hear it every time we order more than a couple sauces. Chick Fil A what can I say! Mauis first well Hawaiis first Chick fil A! I was super excited to go here today. Well it was around 1 something in the afternoon and we said let's eat lunch. So I said let's go check the chick fil A ! We said if the lines are long let's not eat here well well well the lines weren't as long as it was previously. So we drove thru the parking lot and decided to get in. We noticed there was 2 drive thru lines which was nice. The lines moved pretty fast. All together we waited about 15 minutes in line until we got our food. While waiting in line there was many employees outside helping customers in their cars. We pulled up and a young gentleman took our order I guess they start with your name and then they take your order. So we placed our order an 8 piece chicken nuggets with waffle fries plus my favorite a Coca-Cola. Plus we got a Chicken sandwich while fries and a Coca-Cola. My nuggets were okay nothing big about it. Plus the chicken sandwich was plain so it was on an average side. As we were waiting for our food we were in the right hand side drive thru. More farther away from the pick up window they'll ask you for your name and tell you about your order. Then another employee said our name again and bam our order was brought out to us. All in all I'm not sure if I'll be back soon. I guess all the hype kinda died down. But employees are kind, attentive and helpful. Yay the first Chick-fil-a in Hawaii is open on Maui! I always stop at Chick-fil-a when I'm on the mainland so I am happy to be able to get their food here on island. This place is located near Planet Fitness and Target. There is plenty of parking available. There is a nice big dine in area inside with bright decor. They also have a huge outdoor patio area for additional seating. We went on a Friday night, the day after their grand opening so we were prepared to wait in a long line. The drive through line was all way out on the street so we decided to try take out. The line inside was much shorter and we only waited about 20 minutes. There were workers inside taking orders in the line so once we got inside the wait wasn't long at all. Our food came pretty quickly. They were a bit backed up on the shakes. All the workers were really friendly and helpful. I usually get the cobb salad with grilled chicken nuggets but this time I tried the grilled nuggets with mac n cheese and a sunjoy. The nuggets were tasty and juicy as usual. The mac n cheese was creamy with gooey melted cheese on top. So yummy and comforting! I loved the sunjoy drink which is half lemonade and half sweet tea. I think I found my new favorite drink! read more
