I have only been to about 6 Chick-fil-As in California and some were good, some only ok. But this location in Kahului, Maui was the best ever! Service: 5 stars. We did arrive early (just after 11), but there were a lot of people already eating and in line. Lines went quickly. I liked that the soda machine at the front had the sauces on display to help you choose. The workers were so polite! Better than the other locations in California. Ambiance: 5 stars. It is just fast food and standardized, but this location was very, very clean and bonus is the standard encouraging signs have key words in Hawaiian! Mini Hawaiian language lesson and captures the essence of the Hawaii location. (See photos) Food: Best Chick-fil-A sandwiches ever! We ordered the regular sandwich meal, dine in. Food came quickly, chicken was hot, moist, fresh. (I hate dried out chicken.) waffle fries were hot, and best I've had. Of course, you can get refills on your drink and the staff are very polite about getting it for you even though they were very busy. This was our first time to eat here. I really thought the decor and the restaurant was very nice and clean. The employees are so kind and helpful. You know when someone smiles and you feel that they are happy to be there. That's how I felt like when we went to pick up food. We love the complementary chick fila sauce. It so unique. It was my one and only time to visit this chain of restaurants and I tried the spicy chicken sandwich which people seem to recommend. It was great, no complaints. Plenty of lettuce, tomato, etc. You have to add your own sauce. The place is new, so therefore fresh and clean, with smiling staff. Opening a new restaurant, let alone a large chain's first in a new state, is always going to be difficult. I see a lot of the negative reviews are from earlier on in this restaurant's lifespan, so I understand their perspectives. Judging from my visit, the staff here has finally found their legs, and provided a quality experience I would expect from any Chick-fil-A. As a previous Director of Operations from another CFA, I came with high expectations, ready to nitpick and critique, but I was given no opportunity to do so. My family ordered the chicken sandwich, nuggets, fries, and some drinks and desserts. Everything was delicious, with perfect texture, and I can tell the chicken was made fresh, as it was still very hot, crispy with no dampness, while still juicy on the inside. Everything came out very quickly, although we did come at what seemed to be a slower time. Rachel took my order, and she was so kind, so patient, and so helpful, exemplifying the quality service that everyone expects from a CFA team member. I was somewhat disappointed that I didn't get a chance to see a dining room host while we ate inside, but the dining room was still immaculately clean and well-stocked, and I could see that the team was busy with cleaning and pre-closing behind the counter. Plus, I did see some team members come and attend to guests every now and then regardless. Operator Sean Whaley should be proud of his team and their progress, and visitors to Maui should definitely give this restaurant a stop if hungry. read more

I came with no line through the drive through. I did a large order and was told 10-15 minutes. After 20 minutes I was told another 10 minutes because of needing to bake more biscuits. I have now waited over 35 minutes and there has been over 25 cars that have came and left and I am still without any food. Super disappointing. read more

In my opinion, maybe it'd help if someone were to let cars know how long the wait is and redirect drivers to walk - in, if the cars are lined up as far back as it was tonite. There should be a lane for cars to leave/escape if the line is too long. Two people tried to take my order at multiple places in line - I thought the first person lost my order! It seemed chaotic and disorganized at car side tonite. It was 12 minutes from order to receiving my melted shakes - no whip cream, but we were informed of it - without straws and (2) #1 deluxes. She was very attentive and made sure to give suggestions on our drinks. My friend ordered what she recommend the seasonal peppermint frosted coffee! The training staff that were sent from the mainland were unprofessional. While attempting to enjoy my food, I observed employees being ridiculed by there managers. They were asking us to leave the restaurant because the dining room needed to closed by 9:30 pm. They also asked an elderly couple to leave the restaurant, even though their order took awhile to be ready. I have been frequenting the chain for years and have always had a positive experience but I have never had such terrible service. I visited this location on February 5th around breakfast time, it was very slow and Tamara Iztchel (her name was printed on my receipt) was so ridiculously rude. I ordered a chicken biscuit with cheese, she asked me if id like an egg on it and i said "no thank you" then she asked me what kind of cheese i'd like and i said "american please", we paid and then went to wait for our food. When it arrived to the table, i noticed that my biscuit had no chicken on it??? I politely went up to the counter and told her that it was supposed to be a chicken biscuit not a plain one and she SNATCHED it from my hands while RIPPING it apart and said "you said a biscuit with cheese. i asked you if you wanted egg and you said no" and i said "i don't want egg on it, all i wanted was chicken and cheese" and she interrupted me and put her hand in my face and said "don't worry about it" and then walked away. Assuming that she was going to get a replacement, i went back to my table (that you could easily see from the counter area so it's not like she didn't know where i was) and waited for TEN MINUTES and when my brother went up to check on it, she had left it just sitting there on the counter without a word. Absolutely ridiculous, don't waste your time here. This might be the only CFA on this island but i'd literally fly to another one before ever coming back here again. Vibes sucked. read more
