Location: nestled together with other food trucks in the South Maui Gardens, we went on a Thursday when the arts and craft booths are there but to find the place there are no signs at all except the #35 on a mailbox so we drove into a gravel parking lot not knowing where the entrance was but there is the main entrance at the roundabout. Food: The burger was a double patty on a fresh baked soft bun and was cut in half which I find easier and less messy to eat. We also got the onion rings that were quite tasty seasoned and golden crispy and not greasy. A burger boys did not disappoint, and will be back.

The burger was very delicious, and they even cut it in half for us to share. The beef was flavorful, juicy, and cooked well. My only minor critique is that the bun felt a bit large and thick compared to the amount of patty, but it was still a really good burger overall. The onion rings were also excellent, crispy, golden, and delicious. The biggest downside was the price. For a burger and an order of onion rings + tax + credit card surcharge, our total came to $29, which felt pretty steep. The food was good, but the cost may give me pause before ordering again.

His food recommendations were spot on, and his cocktail suggestion--the True North--was one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. It was refreshing, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious! We came during happy hour and ordered several dishes. My favorite was the Oregano Pizza--so flavorful and incredibly yummy! I also had the ahi tuna salad, which I absolutely loved. The simple, meatless nachos were another crowd favorite at our table. I also tried the Kula Berry Mojito. It was a little too sour for my taste, but the True North was perfect and definitely the standout drink of the night. We ordered a few more items as well, but the ones I mentioned were my absolute favorites. I highly recommend coming during happy hour for the great food, drinks, and value. Enjoy!

You can eat inside, but it is completely wide open. Very cool and very breezy! They have those big ass fans which cool the place right down. They also have an outdoor area which is covered. I feel like it might be larger than when we came on a previous visit. (I may be wrong about that. ) They've definitely grown out the grounds a bit and now there's a nice lawn area where kids can run around or people can play lawn games. The menu has also gotten more diverse. I had a specialty pizza which was divine! My husband had the bao ahi tacos which were also quite good. The beer menu has also become more diverse with a wider variety . You've got to try the beer and if you aren't sure, they can make you flights so you can try more than one. Highly recommend this option. Service is what has really made this place special. On both occasions we had the most amazing servers. As a Maui visitor, we can definitely tell when we are truly welcome and Maui brewing makes that so. They hire the best!

Service was a bit slow, but we chalked it up to the happy‑hour rush. The open‑air layout is awesome for enjoying the island weather, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. They're known for their Mai Tai, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The Lilikoi foam and pineapple on top made it the highlight of the visit, excellent drink. We ordered a variety of items to share: Garlic Truffle Fries -- Great flavor, though they weren't very hot. Kalua Pizza with Pineapple -- Sweet and spicy combo that worked really well. Margherita Pizza -- Fresh, tasty, and something we'd order again. Fresh‑Caught Fish Tacos -- Good flavor, and the salsa had a nice kick. Burger with Jalapeño Mashed Potatoes -- The burger was just okay. The potatoes tasted good but were lukewarm. Fish & Chips with Kimchi -- Fresh, lightly fried, and really enjoyable. Fun happy‑hour spot and definitely worth trying while you're on the island.

6.22.26 UPDATE We…read moreoriginally had a disappointing experience due to slow service, limited attention from staff, and the lack of air conditioning during our visit. However, the owner took the time to respond and explain that the entire shopping center wing was experiencing cooling issues and that the restaurant was dealing with significant staffing shortages at the time. While that doesn't completely change the experience we had, I appreciate that the owner acknowledged the challenges and responded professionally rather than dismissing the feedback. One observation I would offer is that, as a customer, it was difficult to tell who was serving tables. I noticed several employees in Pint & Cork shirts moving around the restaurant, but only saw a couple of servers actively covering the dining area. It's possible some staff were assigned to bartending or other responsibilities, but from the guest perspective it gave the impression that table service was understaffed while other employees appeared unavailable. I still think there is room for improvement in the flow and logistics on the floor, but I appreciate the owner's willingness to engage with feedback and explain the circumstances. That being said, I would be willing to give the restaurant another chance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATED REVIEW AFTER OWNER'S RESPONSE: 6.21.26 I appreciate the response. It's telling that you addressed the air conditioning, disputed the gender of an employee, and questioned whether I was even there, yet didn't meaningfully respond to the concerns about service, timing, attentiveness, or food quality. If a customer leaves with a poor experience, the question isn't whether they perfectly recalled every detail. The question is why they left with that impression in the first place. I suspect future readers can draw their own conclusions from both the review and the response. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Probably the most disappointing dining experience of our Hawaii trip. We specifically asked to sit indoors because we wanted a break from the Maui heat after spending the day outside. Unfortunately, we quickly realized there was no air conditioning, making the indoor seating barely any cooler than outside. The restaurant also felt severely understaffed. It took around 10 minutes just to get a Diet Coke, and every time I asked for assistance, the woman working at the register seemed to defer the request rather than help or find someone who could. Meanwhile, some employees appeared more interested in chatting than helping customers, while only one or two staff members seemed to be working the floor. I understand restaurants get busy, especially in a tourist area, but the issue wasn't just the wait--it was the feeling that customer service wasn't a priority. As for the food, it was nothing special. I ordered a steak that had a nice smoky flavor, but it arrived well done and overcooked. The rest of the meal was average at best and definitely not memorable enough to make up for the service issues. Between the lack of air conditioning, slow service, inattentive staff, and mediocre food, this was one of the few places in Hawaii where I genuinely regretted spending my money. Considering the location at The Shops at Wailea and the prices being charged, I expected a much higher level of hospitality and execution. There are far too many great dining options in Wailea to come back here.
