Let the hype simmer down a little bit and finally tried the new Chick-fil-A location in Kapolei. Went during lunch time and the drive thru was of course still long and busy. Had to drive around Longs Drugs to get to the back of the line. Took about 20 mins in line. Ordered a deluxe chicken sandwich meal and spicy chicken sandwich meal. Chicken doesn't come with sauce on it but I think the purpose of their packet sauces is so you can choose however you want to season it. I put their signature Chick-fil-A sauce and it was tasty. The fries on the other hand were soggy and not fresh. When I arrived home, I put the fries in the air fryer. Also chicken portion is pretty small. Employees are nice. There were several of them in the hot sun directing the line and taking orders. They need like caps as part of their uniform because it was a very hot day to be out there for a long time. read more

First standalone sit-down Chick-Fil-A on Oahu! The Ala Moana and Beretania locations are not. Hubby and I dined inside as the drive thru line seemed long. We only waited 15 minutes in line! Looking outside, the drive thru line flowed efficiently. Service was warm and friendly, like you'd expect at any CFA, but I thought the food was fresher and tastier than Ala Moana! I had to have my usual order--a regular chicken sandwich with crispy waffle fries and honey mustard BBQ sauce. Hubby ordered the grilled chicken club sandwich with CFA sauce and the kale crunch side which is a nice alternative side to the waffle fries. We also ordered a frosted lemonade, which was lemonade topped with some vanilla milkshake. I love that the restaurant had a local touch to it with local flowers as centerpieces. CFA comes in clutch when you're in Kapolei or Ewa Beach. Hope your CFA cravings don't come on a Sunday! read more

I'm so happy that I don't have to drive to town for chick-fil-a! I don't eat chicken sandwiches, but when I do, it's chick-fil-a. Their chick-fil-a sauce is unmatched. This place is newly opened, and I think they're doing a great job being efficient. Usually when places open, it can be pretty disastrous but it seemed like they had a lot of training before they opened. The workers all gave good customer service and I applaud them for standing in the wind and rain taking orders. I don't know if they still have them, but HPD directs traffic so people can't cut and what not- but I found that super useful. From the start of the line (which was pretty long) to the end (getting my food) it took less than 20 minutes. I also like that they use chick-fil-a's infamous line "my pleasure"! I come here about once a week with my kids! Most of the time we sit inside to eat and we love when one of the employees walk around asking if anyone needs a refill on drinks or more sauces! I've only done the drive thru a few times and every time I've regretted it. It takes 20+ minutes, which is insane when you consider that the drive thru should be the faster option. There's always a family a couple cars ahead of me will have a huge order so they'll be sitting at the front of the line waiting for their food, and meanwhile like 5 other cars will get our food behind them but are trapped waiting behind the car in front that doesn't have their food yet, and our food is just sitting there getting cold next to us. This last time I waited 5 minutes after I received my food before I was finally able to drive out of the drive thru. They need to either figure out a better set up or tell cars with large orders to pull in a parking space. Chick fil A in the mainland is known for having fast and efficient drive thrus. Not this location. Only other complaint is if I am ordering a large fry, pleeeeease just fill up the container to the top. It's annoying how often our fries are not filled up all the way and I might as well have ordered a smaller size fry. read more

Chick Filet Kapolei (across Kamakana Mall) is the worst, shitty service. Long wait in the drive thru line for two melted milk shakes. Customers who ordered more than a drink received their order long before prior orders. The manager over the phone Troy was a lousy as the service we received. Did absolutely nothing to resolve the complaint. A genuine apology would have sufficed except his attitude was as bad as my melted milkshake. Sadly, the manager seemed immuned to complaint's and lacked empathy for the poor service. The service attendent who delivered the drinks was kind but expressed his frustration to work in such a disorganized work environment. The team Lead on shift was his reason for the delay in service. I'll spend my $7 a drink and $18 cold chicken sandwiches elsewhere. This Chick Filet needs to learn from the mainland Chick Filet where service is above standard and food quality is top knotch - Kapolei Chick Filet is a total miss. I usually get nuggets which are usually quite good. We used to drive 30 miles to get chick-fil-a but now being in Reno its not that hard anymore. This time out I tried their chicken maple bacon sandwich which was tasty. Their waffle fries are excellent. Lemonadeis my usual which is almost always great. Be aware of manager Laila! Worst customer service I ever received from a manager and she shouldnt be one. Went in to pick up lunch and literally policed the sauces they "FREELY" give out inside the restaurant. I took about 6-7 honey packets because i eat it with my chicken pieces and she had the nerve to point it out how "i had alot of honey packets in my hand." FIRST OF ALL LAILA! If you dont want people freely helping themselves with the sauces (ketchup, honey, mayo etc) then put all that behind the counter! Laila acted like she was paying for the damn honey! Such a rude manager after going in and spending $12 for 5 small chicken bites, large fries and a drink! Also the employee who took my order seemed like he just started working there and he went to ask Laila a question and she responded twice saying "what" really loud! The first time I went here, I ordered online and they messed up every part of my order... I sent an email to customer service and they rectified the problem. The second time I went I used the credits they gave me and the meal was great. Exactly what I expect from Chick-fil-A. I got grilled nuggets with fries, a drink, and tried their cookie. The cookie was pretty good. Not much to say but everything was good and the fries weren't stale and greasy like the first time I went. Really Love the food from here and my Mom loves the waffle fries from here and she loves the lemonade from here. It is located across Ka Makana Ali'i mall in Kapolei. Best to enter on North South Road into CVS Long's Parking lot. They have workers outside to take your orders. The workers bring out your orders to you once it's ready as you wait in line. We feel so lucky to have a Chick-fil-A in nearby Kapolei. My experience is limited to a handful of times but food and drinks were always exactly as expected and service as well. There's generally a longer line and wait but still quick enough for fast food and worth it. Today's order was my least favorite, missing salt & pepper I asked for and they gave us one barbecue sauce and one buffalo instead of two buffalo. I understand having the order takers on foot, but they also direct you to drive while they walk with you and take the order at the same time. That's not saving any time. I think it would be much less risky to just give 2-3 seconds to take the order down without distractions. Still love the salads and lemonade, and especially the Keylime lemonade. read more

I usually find the food here to be consistent and enjoyable, so this review is really about two main areas: (1) customer service and (2) how the dining room space is used. 1. Customer Service In my experience, the service at this location tends to stop at "my pleasure." The overall atmosphere doesn't feel welcoming. Normally, I don't mind small service issues, but it gets frustrating when I hesitate to ask for a simple drink refill or when I don't receive part of my order and feel uncomfortable requesting it. Wait times at both the pickup counter and drive-thru can be long. While I understand the drive-thru gets hectic, the inside service often feels overlooked. For example, I've seen customers standing at the counter holding a receipt or cup, clearly waiting for help, and employees (including managers) will look in their direction and ignore them. This is not a one-time experience--it happens regularly, whether the restaurant is busy or not. If management sets that tone, it's not surprising when staff follow their lead. I think this location could really benefit from additional customer service training that goes beyond just polite phrases. 2. Dining Room Usage It's surprising how often I see employees eating in the booths or larger seating areas that should be available to customers. During busy times, it makes seating harder to find. It would be better if staff had a designated space so the dining area stays open for guests. Overall, the food is good, but the customer service and dining room experience definitely need improvement. I've had Chick Fil-A in Utah and Arizona before and love the chicken sandwiches. I went to this new location in Kapolei via drive through only. The double drive thru lines were a little long but there are lots of workers so it wasn't too bad waiting. I could pay with credit card from the guy who took my order (he was on foot) a day that was convenient. After that you just wait to pick up the food. The spicy chicken sandwich is better than Popeyes in my opinion, although a little smaller. However, we did not like the waffle fries too much. They weren't crispy and needed more salt. Their drive thru was quite efficient, people are friendly and helpful, I would imagine they expected some confusion, but with their set up, they surely avoided chaos. This was a very clean, new location. Ended up going inside as the drive thru was as long as can be imagined. And there was no line inside. Got fries, a chicken sandwich, and chicken bites. Love having a chic fil a on the island. This location is my favorite one. Easy to get to and out of the way. The staff is always so friendly. It gets SO busy and loud at lunch time so I'd either come early or later to not have to wait awhile. They get very overwhelmed with customers but do a great job at keeping everyone happy. Chick-fil-A makes you feel at home, with good food, and employees that are as nice as our Ohana. This location stands mountains above the rest. All the employees are professional, hard working, and dare I say the best the company has to offer. The lines move incredibly fast, and the food is fresh off the grill. I can't believe it took me 19 Years to finally try Chick-fil-A! It was on man college campus in Washington D.C. and I NEVER tried it. I ended up waiting 19 years later for it to finally open in Kapolei, Oahu. Location This location is huge. Lots of parking and lots of space. We didn't have a problem finding parking or a table after we ordered. Very clean inside - then again it's only like a month old ha ha. Service EVERYONE IS SO FRIENDLY AND EAGER TO HELP! I love the service! It was a breath of fresh air compared to other fast food joints. Food I ordered the spicy deluxe, my 11 year old had the regular and my two littles had the chicken nuggets with mac-n-cheese. I had the sweet tea and the kids all got milkshakes. The food was good. The milkshakes were good. I appreciated how the sweet tea wasn't too sweet. It was perfect. Our milkshakes didn't make it to our table at first and I had to flag down and employee who then grabbed us our milkshakes. Not sure what happened for them to not make it on the tray. The place was busy, but it did't hinder the service nor did we have a long wait. I'll be back, I really want to try their peppermint shake before it disappears. read more

We are staying at Aulani and my kids wanted to eat Chick fil a, this location is only less than 15 minutes of drive. When we walked in, we were surprised how big it is, very clean with lots of tables. Service was amazing, every staff was so nice and friendly and have a big smile on their face, we felt so welcoming..Food came out fast, fresh and yummy. Stayed away from this place after being served undercooked nuggets about a year earlier. The nuggets were basically pink in the middle. Today, decided to give it a go and get food at the drive thru as plan B since Taniokas was closed. Well there's two lines and it's slow. By the time my food came out the fries and nuggets were cold, like it was sitting on the counter since there was a line of cars ahead. I saw two people get their food before the two cars that were at the window/front of the line. Those vehicles could not leave because the cars at the front were waiting for their order. The wait is a little too long for drive thru and the food cold (if not under cooked like my earlier experience). Their drive thru system sucks and it's slow. Poorly run, unlike those on the mainland. Additionally the staff don't ask if you want condiments like ketchup or sauce. Thought house sauce and ketchup was an automatic when you get certain items, but I guess not. You'd better off going to the other chicken place across the street for better/quick service and hot food. read more

Service was not good. Didn't seem like the crew had their wheaties in the morning. Drive thru order person was not making it easy to order and then when we got home we were missing half our order. So much for trusting the workers. Should've double checked the order even though we asked if that was everything we ordered. I have had numerous issues with this location, but it has gotten steadily worse. Wrong orders, long wait, poor service. Had an inedible breakfast a cpl weeks ago, got a refund from Corporate. Went to redeem today and not only couldn't the staff figure it out, they essentially ignored us until we left. (Car in front of us got wrong order twice).
