I have heard so much about Chick-Fil-A. Had a grilled chicken sandwich, with fries. Let us start with the better food, the fries were awesome, 4.5/5 stars. The grilled chicken sandwich was OK at best. The chicken had a subtle bad taste, not a good flavor, coupled with the bun that fell apart like a 'biscuit'. What a horrible experience today, tried to order breakfast and not only did it take forever (for a chick fil a) the order came wrong with several items we didn't order and several items we ordered but they didn't provide. The gentleman instead of taking care of us he doubled down and ask for payment for an item we already paid for. Nice Chick Fil A, line was no wait at 6:30PM. I just got done with military honors for a funeral and on my way back to Goose Creek base and stopped for dinner. The younger guy talking my order didn't know to do a split transaction with the app and a card. The service was fast. There are a lot of younger people working here who look like they need more training. They looked a little confused when I got to the window. Lol but hey they are learning. Classic reminder of how great the Chick-Fil-A chain is. Visited once before and once during quarantine and had the same great experience. All interactions I had with staff were great. Food came out QUICK. Bonus points to this location for handling the social distancing requirements. Yes, this is the model that all Chick-fil-a's should be based off of. Quick visit if you need it, or plenty of seating if you need to stay for a while. Ordering is fast, and delivery is quick too. Service with a smile by both the person taking the order and the one bringing it to you. The play area for the kids is nice as well, and is close enough to the seating and ordering area that you can send them over there and still keep an eye on them while you wait for your food. Three times I have been to this location since the remodel and the food has been very subpar for any chick-fil-a. The food is always cold. Went there on Saturday December 26 after leaving the Local Car dealership. Placed 3 separate orders for 5 people but when we got to the window the drink order was not correct .... tried to explain to the person at the window ( short heavy set African American girl) but she was quite dismissive and kept trying to hurry us along without listening to what we were saying. I went this morning in the drive thru and i have never experienced someone as rude as the young man who handed me my food. We had to pull off to wait for our food and once the young man walked to our car he literally threw our bag of food at us and then continued to not saying anything and walk away. I use to work as CFA so seeing this kinda of employee is embarrassing to be honest. By far the best chick fil a I've been to. I ALWAYS experience great customer service at any CFA location I visit. Here was no different. They actually went above and beyond. Everyone was sooooo nice. And fast. As soon as I ordered I turned around and there was a young man standing there with my food on and tray and he carried it to my table. Then he brought me condiments upon hearing my mom ask for some. The location was very very clean and they even have a mouthwash station here. Cool for people like me who floss and gargle everywhere I go. The food was good as per usual and the atmosphere was nice. This was my first time at a real Chick-fil-A and I was beyond impressed. The first thing you notice when you walk in is how immaculate the store looks. The price of the food was mind-boggling ($6.79 for my meal) and the quality was even more impressive. Also, my son is entering the phase where he doesn't eat. He gobbled down the chicken and his fruit cup, which contained fresh fruit! While eating my meal, a young woman came up to the table and asked if I wanted a refill...In a fast food restaurant! When I was ready, I went up and a young man took my drink and filled it, then when I thanked him, he said "my pleasure sir." I had many experiences with this restaurant but the last time I stopped in the the Murrells Inlet location it was very heartwarming. My 5 year old daughter graduated from head start and we went to chic fil a to celebrate and she enjoyed playing in the kids area. While leaving me Steve came and introduce himself and had ask my daughter some question and made her feel special. At that time I was unaware of who he was. Chick-fil-A is a mystery to me it sits next to Arby's and across from Highway 55 burgers and a pizza shop and Jersey Mikes sub shop . All these choices of places to eat and yet there is a line around the drive through every day and the parking lot is filled ,you would think they are giving the food away! Arby's doesn't have one car it's amazing . I do eat at Chick -fil-A and they really do give food to sample for free on Wednesday mornings every now and then .They have a sign posted in the drive through area to let you know when. The chicken is good but it reminds me of Target, not that cheap. Everyone is right about the customer service the usually teens , at the drive in window always thank you and say my pleasure and the other thing beside teaching good customer service to their employees they are closed on Sundays , everyone deserves that day of rest. I like their ice cream cones but they only have vanilla wish they had chocolate too, got a chicken sandwich the other day and the only thing on it was two pickle slices no dressing ,that surprised me . The waffle fries are good and the salads . But I like Wendy's just as well and they have a dollar menu , which Chick-fil-A does not. I just can't get over why every one flocks there I'm guessing it's the different choices of the way the chicken is prepared .If you are on a diet I would say it is a good fast food choice!
