We came specifically to try the new waffle-and-chicken breakfast sandwich. We chose Chick-fil-A because we have long regarded the company as different from many other fast-food establishments--a company that maintains higher standards of cleanliness, customer service, conduct, and respect for its customers. Today, that expectation was seriously damaged. In the dining area, a person who was not purchasing or consuming food was occupying one of the large booths and sleeping across the table. His clothing was extremely unkempt, his underwear was visibly exposed, and his head and hair were lying across the table surface where customers are expected to eat. Pills and other apparent paraphernalia were scattered across the table. The effect was immediate and obvious. We did not feel comfortable sitting anywhere near this individual, and it appeared that other paying customers felt the same way. A portion of the dining area had effectively been taken away from the customers who were there to purchase and eat food. I brought the matter directly to the manager's attention before leaving. What disturbed me most was her explanation that this individual comes there frequently and that management allows him to behave this way. That is a **management decision**, and that distinction is important. I am not asking Chick-fil-A to discriminate against anyone. I am asking that reasonable standards of cleanliness, conduct, safety, and respect for paying customers be applied consistently to everyone. There is nothing discriminatory about expecting someone who occupies a restaurant dining area to behave appropriately and maintain basic standards of cleanliness. What concerns me even more is the damage this type of decision does to **brand equity**. Chick-fil-A has spent decades building a reputation that distinguishes it from its competitors. Customers don't simply buy the food; they buy into an expectation about the environment, the service, and the standards the company represents. When management knowingly allows a situation like this to persist, it sends a message that those standards are negotiable. That costs far more than one breakfast sale. It costs **customer confidence. It costs respect. And ultimately, it erodes the brand equity that Chick-fil-A has worked so hard to build.** I left today with substantially less respect for this particular Chick-fil-A and, frankly, with a diminished perception of the Chick-fil-A brand. I never expected to walk into a Chick-fil-A and encounter a situation where paying customers would feel displaced by someone who was not even there to eat--and then learn that management had knowingly chosen to allow it. I am making this complaint because I would prefer to see the situation corrected rather than simply write off the experience. But if this is truly the standard the **Murrells Inlet location** has chosen to accept, then it is a standard I cannot support, and I will not return to this restaurant. I strongly encourage Chick-fil-A to review this incident beyond the local management level. This is not merely a complaint about one unpleasant encounter. It is a question of whether the standards associated with the Chick-fil-A name are actually being enforced when doing so may be uncomfortable or difficult. **A company's reputation is built one customer experience at a time--and it can be surrendered the same way.** I hope Chick-fil-A will take this seriously and recognize that protecting the dignity, safety, cleanliness, and comfort of paying customers is not contrary to the company's values. I have heard so much about Chick-Fil-A. Had a grilled chicken sandwich, with fries. Let us start with the better food, the fries were awesome, 4.5/5 stars. The grilled chicken sandwich was OK at best. The chicken had a subtle bad taste, not a good flavor, coupled with the bun that fell apart like a 'biscuit'. I a not a fast food fan, but in a pinch, BK, Wendy's, or McD's burger would be better. read more

We used to enjoy going but today was our last trip. We ordered the breakfast bowls and the amount was cut by 1/3. No cheese in one, very few tater rounds and much smaller portion of chicken . What a horrible experience today, tried to order breakfast and not only did it take forever (for a chick fil a) the order came wrong with several items we didn't order and several items we ordered but they didn't provide. The gentleman instead of taking care of us he doubled down and ask for payment for an item we already paid for. My wife paid for it again, and he looked like he was gloating because he screwed us over twice. Nice Chick Fil A, line was no wait at 6:30PM. I just got done with military honors for a funeral and on my way back to Goose Creek base and stopped for dinner. The younger guy talking my order didn't know to do a split transaction with the app and a card. The service was fast. There are a lot of younger people working here who look like they need more training. They looked a little confused when I got to the window. Lol but hey they are learning. I love chick-fil-a and I eat it all the time but today I ordered a cob salad and it was very good at first until i pulled a huge piece of hair out of my mouth. At first I thought it could be mine but then I saw that the chicken was hanging from the hair which disgusted me even more. Simple, standard Chick-fil-A fare at a reasonable price. Boneless, bite size chicken breast that is breaded, seasoned and pressure cooked. Waffle fries are cooked in canola oil and seasoned with sea salt. Overall, good flavor and texture. Nuggets tend not to be real hot and the waffle fries never crispy. This not the first time time that chic fil a has gotten my order wrong through the mobile app how hard is it to read a screen and make the order right chic fil a you might want to hire some better employees ones that can read. Classic reminder of how great the Chick-Fil-A chain is. Visited once before and once during quarantine and had the same great experience. All interactions I had with staff were great. Food came out QUICK. Bonus points to this location for handling the social distancing requirements. Yes, this is the model that all Chick-fil-a's should be based off of. Quick visit if you need it, or plenty of seating if you need to stay for a while. Ordering is fast, and delivery is quick too. Service with a smile by both the person taking the order and the one bringing it to you. The play area for the kids is nice as well, and is close enough to the seating and ordering area that you can send them over there and still keep an eye on them while you wait for your food. A fairly easy location to get in and out of if you don't miss your turn... which I know from experience. read more

Three times I have been to this location since the remodel and the food has been very subpar for any chick-fil-a. The food is always cold. By far the best chick fil a I've been to. I ALWAYS experience great customer service at any CFA location I visit. Here was no different. They actually went above and beyond. Everyone was sooooo nice. And fast. As soon as I ordered I turned around and there was a young man standing there with my food on and tray and he carried it to my table. Then he brought me condiments upon hearing my mom ask for some. The location was very very clean and they even have a mouthwash station here. Cool for people like me who floss and gargle everywhere I go. The food was good as per usual and the atmosphere was nice. I went this morning in the drive thru and i have never experienced someone as rude as the young man who handed me my food. We had to pull off to wait for our food and once the young man walked to our car he literally threw our bag of food at us and then continued to not saying anything and walk away. Went there on Saturday December 26 after leaving the Local Car dealership. Placed 3 separate orders for 5 people but when we got to the window the drink order was not correct .... tried to explain to the person at the window ( short heavy set African American girl) but she was quite dismissive and kept trying to hurry us along without listening to what we were saying. Like most of these stores, the staff is 110% professional and the food quality is way above fast food. This particular store goes far above the expectation though. The staff is surprisingly extra cordial and the whole place is spotless. It feels more like a boutique bistro than fast food. This was my first time at a real Chick-fil-A and I was beyond impressed. The first thing you notice when you walk in is how immaculate the store looks. The price of the food was mind-boggling ($6.79 for my meal) and the quality was even more impressive. Also, my son is entering the phase where he doesn't eat. He gobbled down the chicken and his fruit cup, which contained fresh fruit! While eating my meal, a young woman came up to the table and asked if I wanted a refill...In a fast food restaurant! When I was ready, I went up and a young man took my drink and filled it, then when I thanked him, he said "my pleasure sir."
