Hello my little Chick-A-Dee and welcome to the biggest little city of Reno and by looks of it; everyone else has welcomed you too by the car loads! Holy chick, it was busy!! When we first pulled in we thought all the cars were for the car wash and boy were we wrong! The drive through seemed to be a big hit but the parking lot was packed too. As we walked to the entrance, we saw the line that was inside slowly make its way outside and thought the worst but it was surprisingly fast as our order was taken while standing in line by a girl named Annie who was really nice and thurough with our order. Other than saying "of course" after every item mentioned that we wanted to order; she was patient and very professional. We got to the counter to pay and were handed our drinks and an odd shaped item....puzzled at this odd item, I asked, "what is this for" and the cashier said "oh, this is your table marker"... Okay then, so off to find a table we went and to our surprise; we found a booth right away...wait...could it be.... yes, other tables had the same oddly shaped item as we had and the same color too. Thinking to my self and partially out loud "how are they going to distinguish who's order belongs to who and wouldn't a number table maker be more effective..." Sure enough, several minutes pass by and servers begin to show up with food in hand eager to deliver only to have a look of slight confusion on their faces as to who's order belonged to who as I see them looking at these oddly shaped table markers sitting on the tables trying to figure out where these orders go... When the table marker method failed them, they began asking customers their names in order to get the orders delivered...this was successful for them. They didn't bother with our table marker and just called out my name...Phil "Yep, right here!" Our order was perfect! Everything from cross cut fries, original grilled chicken and that hot chick.... Hot spicy chicken that is...really good! Maybe I'm just new to Chick and maybe it was normal but all of the tables had bags as if everyone was taking their orders to go even though everyone was dining in... To me this seems like a big expense if people are dining in and a big impact to the environment...If they are dining in, use a tray instead of creating more garbage for our landfills. Overall though, great first time ever experience and we will probably be back.... One other thing, they have an app which is great and allows you to order ahead of time but your order can not be picked up in the drive thru. I'm sure there is good reason for this but a little inconvenient because you have to get out of your vehicle to pick your order up inside or outside table (depending on weather) read more

Chick-fil-A is open in Reno! As expected, the line for the drive through and to dine in was long, but surprisingly went fast. The service was great - the workers were courteous, and quick. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and nuggets for my kids. I was quite surprised how juicy and flavorful the grilled sandwich was. We've been to several Chick-fil-A restaurants in CA and Florida so my kids knew what to expect with the nuggets...and the nuggets did not disappoint. My 7 and 9 yr. old downed a 12 piece in a matter of minutes and raved about how good they were as they ate. For those who haven't been to Chick-fil-A, note that their sandwiches come without sauce, their classic chick-fil-a sandwich is a battered seasoned chicken breast on a bun with pickles. The cashier will ask you what sauce packets you want to go with it. They have various sauces, buffalo, honey mustard, ranch, siracha, barbecue, honey, and I think a few others. Kudos to the staff for making their grand opening a smooth one. Our Chick-Fil-A craving was fulfilled with our visit...I'm sure we'll be back. read more

Service is exceptional in this place. I've heard nothing but all the rave that Chik-fil-A was opening in Reno. The first time we ventured there for a meal... It was only the 2nd day that it opened. That was a crazy experience. Never in my life would I imagine they would have traffic control for a fast food joint lol. The line was insane! I swear - you would think that the world was preparing for a zombie apocalypse and Chik-fil-A was the last restaurant standing... (I see you over there Five Guys - we haven't forgotten about you)! I've had the spicy chicken sandwich (I don't remember the fancy name... maybe there isn't one lol) both times we've been. It was really good - but not "over the top" good. But today, I did try the special sauce (yeah... I didn't know they had a sauce - that apparently is like crack). The next time we decide to chow down on some fried chicken, I'm going to order the #1 and throw some crack sauce on top. I'm sure I'll be updating my review to 5 stars. read more

Went through the drive thru and ordered a deluxe with no cheese and barbecue sauce, got my order and it was all Polynesian sauce and my sandwich had cheese on it. At least the cheese can be semi taken off but it's still a tedious task when it shouldn't have been on there in the first place. read more

We went around 6 and it was more packed than I expected. I knew it would be busy but I was surprised. The staff was amazing. We waited in line for about 8 minutes regardless of it being a huge line going out side. Found a table and had our food in less than five minutes. Even with the amount of people they had, it ran so smoothly. One sandwich was messed up but it was very loud in there so I don't think she heard me correctly but someone came to our table and had a new correct sandwich almost immediately. I love that they made time to go around asking if we needed refills and how the food was. So glad to have a chick fil a in Reno. They upheld the chick fil a standards even with all the chaos of opening day. UPDATE (This is in response to the comment CFA left) This service is still as wonderful as opening day! Coming to your restaurant is always an incredible experience. I would point out a specific employee to praise but honestly every employee is so amazing! read more

What can I say? I love CFA! Yes, it's a chain but wow the quality of their chicken is top notch. Service is always great there no matter what location I go to. Love the waffle fries and frosted lemonade. I will not get a chicken sandwich anywhere else but here, that's how much I love the quality of chicken. I went to Chick Fil A today...not new for me but. I was on a mission to try their mac and cheese. I am very, very picky about mac and cheese. Let me tell you that I was NOT disappointed. It was sooooo delicious. Sadly, I got over excited and didn't take a photo before I dove in. What you are not seeing in my photo was some lovely spots of carmelized cheese which means that they are making as they should, in the oven. No overcooked macaroni in cheese liquid. This mac and cheese is cheesy and flavorful. It is definitely going to be my go to on cheat days. The chicken, as always was perfectly seasoned and lightly breaded and you can't beat their lemonade. I prefer the diet lemonade. They use Splenda in it and you can't tell it's diet, at all. Their restaurant is clean, parking is great and customer service is spot on. This is why I return over and over...and my quest to trim off some pounds isn't working out ! Yes, they have great low calorie options which I have tried...all fantastic. This fast food place is highly overrated unless you love really really love greasy and tasteless fried chicken. This was the first time Id been to a Chick Filet. I waited in the long line (not a problem if the food is good), and my food came out super fast, too fast. It had apparently been sitting under a food lamp for quite sometime. Took a few bites of my chicken, then found the manager and handed him my tray back, told him the food was disgusting , and with no response from him, I just left still hungry. My daughter convinced me it was just a fluke and asked me to try it again. I went through the drive through and I have to say they have a very similar operation to ordering (like In-n-Out) when they are busy. Very nice. However, it was still crappy food. They do have a very nice ice tea. Definitely will not return. read more

What an impressive company! Was there for opening day, and about a half-dozen times since. Even though the crowds have been large, they do an amazing job of keeping the line moving, giving you personalized service, and getting your order correct. LOVE the grilled nuggets and salads - quite tasty options for those of us who are Gluten-free. My mom and kids *love* their frosty lemonade (a lemonade/ice cream mixture.) Kids and hubby can't get enough of the breaded nuggets. Everyone is a fan of their special sauce. Chick-fil-A is a big WIN for Reno! We will be back again and again ... rinse, repeat. ;-) read more

Soooo happy that they finally opened a location in Reno finally! My boyfriend and I literally took a trip to Roseville just to get Chik-Fil-A a few months ago. I am really sad i missed the free meals for a year for the first 100 people who came in, but hopefully if the open a location in Carson City so I can camp out. We went on the day they opened and I just love the chicken strips and the Chik-Fil-A sauce. They had a line all the way down the street they were so busy, but it was worth the 40 minute wait since we love this chain. The waffle fries are the best I have ever had at any place that sells waffle fries. The staff at all the locations are always super friendly and it is just nice to not have to drive 2 hours for this treat. If you haven't been here, definitely go. read more

Normally Chick-fil-A gives great service but today was not a normal day. I pulled up to order and place my order through one of the girls working drive thru. She was sweet and competent. The line moved fast as always and I get to the front where I am greeted by a girl that is very rude and just doesn't care. I pay for my meal and she gam'sa bad food and the two drinks. Now I'm ordering for 4 people and they put 4 Polynesian and 2 bbq sauces in the bag. I handed back the bbq and asked for Polynesian. She rolled her eyes and sighed then handed me 1 more. I again say I'm here for 4 lunches can I please have a couple more. She hands me 2 more and says this completes your order have a good day as she turns away from the window. I got her message and left. I finally get to open the bag once in work across town and 2 of our 4 items are in the bag! So 2 people got their spicy chicken meals but those of us who got 4 strips and a deluxe chicken sandwich didn't get to eat. I tried to call and all I was told was things happen oops. So I recommend going to this location if you want a lot of attitude and not all of your food. read more

Opening day drive thru at 6:30 PM: AMAZING! They totally ROCKED it! The line and amount of people was super crazy but we were out in about 25 minutes. Well worth it for my chicken nugget meal! I'm so happy to have this in Reno. I hope they keep up the GREAT work! read more

If there was a zero star rating, that is what I would rate this place. Can't understand the hype. They do one thing, chicken and it is terrible. It is almost like what you get at a gas station or any fast food joint. Go to Raising Cane's of you really want fast food fried chicken. The milkshake was just ok and the fries average at best. Closed on Sundays??? What is this SLC or North Korea??? Don't believe the hype on this place. The food is terrible, in my humble opinion. Disappointing! read more

This place is really shoe-horned into its location, wish it were in a better spot, would go more often. Fun attention to detail, such as straw wrappers that say "open in case of thirst." Dining room temperature was too chilly. Food a tad on the pricey side for the portion sizes , but definitely delicious. Would prefer self serve beverages. Cute kid meal toys. read more

Dinner tonight was a success! Busy mom, busy kids, busy life!! Chick-fil-A is our favorite takeout after a busy day. I am always content with our food. We are pretty efficient when it comes to ordering from the restaurant. We have the mobile app (red member)! Easy when on the go for sure! A few clicks and your food is ready in no time. Today we ordered our usual 3 spicy deluxe w/pepper jack cheese meals and 3 chick-fil-a sandwich meals. Half lemonades and half unsweetened ice tea. Everything was perfect! Little hiccup but it was easily fixed within seconds with no hesitation. Food was fresh, fries were crispy, tons of dips and cookies for dessert. We love our Reno location! We love to see all the familiar faces and all the young adults working here so hard even at the busiest times and the roughest weather. Thank you Our neighborhood Chick-fil-A! OK, maybe the first time I ever had Chik-Fil-A I was starving, or just really excited at the prospect of a new chicken joint, or a combination of the two, but I have hoped for years since that we would get one in the Northern NV area. When this place finally opened I was so excited that -- yes, I admit -- I was one of the fools who waited in line for, like, two hours - just to try the stuff. Surprisingly, it was not as good as I remembered, and I was left wondering what all the hype was over. I'll have to go back and give them one more try to be sure, but I'd give the food a 3/5 stars - not the best, not the worst. Not particularly memorable -- which was confusing because before this experience, I had remembered my first trip to this chain in CA for years. The service was pretty awesome -- they had a lot of extra staff on hand to train the new hires and to help with the crowd, and everybody was nice. The crowd, on the other hand, was not -- but you can't blame Chik-Fil-A for that. In general, I'd still give this chain a 4/5 overall just because they're the only fast food joint I know of that uses a more expensive (but naturally trans-fat-free) peanut oil to fry and cook their foods, and everything on the menu seems to be minimally processed -- for fast food that is. read more

"Word to your mother," the mobile app only allows you to do in-store pick ups it does not work in the drive-through. That said it does seem like they have a lot of healthy and unhealthy options. Love the fact you can get a half tea half lemonade in a diet version. Tried out the chicken wrap seems pretty robust and avocado lime ranch is pretty awesome. For those of you who used to McDonald's chicken nuggets you'll be surprised at how small the nuggets are at Chick-fil-A, but my grandkids did not mind at all. read more

I grew up around Chick-fil-A and the memories are way better than what is here in Reno. We ordered through the drive thru and they forgot a sauce that we ordered, the chicken strips serving looked like a child's size order, and they also (sadly) served us very old sweet tea that tasted like it had been sitting out since yesterday. I understand they are still new and trying to get things right so I will definitely give them another chance, but as of today - Raising Cane's is far superior. read more

Loved it. Very well made! Very organized. From start to finish. The lines were long and the drive through was super busy. I was afraid of being there for a long time. I've seen these joints in California, but never had a chance to try it. I'm glad one opened in Reno. The drive thru was long so my wife just parked nearby and walked over. We got the original and the spicy chicken sandwiches. They were good chicken sandwiches, but it didn't blow me away. Not because Chick-fil-A didn't do a good job, it's just that chicken can only do so much. I suggest not adding the vegetables and cheese to your sandwich, it makes it taste very generic. The fries weren't crispy for me, but maybe you'll have better luck. Their popcorn chicken or whatever they are called are just ok. I prefer the spicy chicken over original. Had the occasion to visit one of the latest fast food chains to ramble into the Reno area! I am still researching the name but for now the review! First, I am still getting use to paying over twenty bucks for a chicken sandwich shake and waffle fries! But the quality was there and we do not do it often! The chicken sandwich was a single piece of chicken breast nearly filling a medium plain hamburger bun, the spicy #2 was spicy! Waffle cut fries were a treat aa well as the strawberry shakes! The service was good,a short wait, and a good product make this place a sure hit! At $22 and change for two with not an abundance of food makes this an acceptable lunch treat but not a mainstay! read more

We live in Oakhurst, Ca. and when in Fresno we many times enjoy going to your restaurant in the North part of town for breakfast. Employees are always friendly and the food and coffee is good. Also we have lunch there occasionally and enjoy that too. read more
