I live in San Francisco and make excuses to take my family on a drive down to Sunnyvale just to come here. It's that good. This is pretty much the only "fast food" my family eats. Clean restaurant, extremely pleasant staff. I also appreciate the play area for our little kids. My only complaints are that they're not open on Sundays and they're not closer to SF. read more

CFA seems to always get crazy nice people to work for them. My friends lived in the south for a while and this is their craving. Of course they'd kept me up to date with the opening, so I dropped in to get some before actually doing to dinner (yes Im a glutton). Got a 4 piece tenders meal and a drink. Pretty solid, well cooked and seasoned. The parking here is a bit of wacky one with the drive thru and all. I am a loyal Chick-Fil-A customer. Unfortunately, one bad experience is all it takes to ruin it. I always go to Chick-Fil-A and the customer service is always amazing. Today, I went and Enrique was the one to take my order. He is not your typical Chick-Fil-A employee that I'm accustomed to. He didn't smile or greet me. He had no energy whatsoever. The interior was relatively bright and certainly a step up from a typical fast food joint. However, it still has a fast food vibe, and lacks modern elements from other upscale chicken joints. This place was PACKED Friday afternoon, but the line moved quickly and food came out just as fast. I really appreciate how their employees take the time to bring the food to your table, despite how busy it can get. They always have a smile on their face, and it just adds to the experience! I've been going to this location for a while now and always get the same order, a Spicy Deluxe and a Medium Waffle Fry and the thing I loved about Chick-fil-A is their consistency. Chicken is juicy, crisp, and rightfully seasoned. This was not the case today. I'm not sure what happened but the Chicken I got today was inedible. It serially tasted like the top of the seasoner fell off on the Chicken and they ended up frying it anyway. I've seriously spent quite a while pondering how this could of happened because I do love this CFA so much and am graced with even having one in my area. Another theory is the preparer did a bad job mixing in the flour and seasoning and maybe my chicken was breaded with a part that had way too much seasoning. Regardless 8.5/10 times they get it right. CFA is amazing. My choice: Chicken Sandwich with a side of waffles fries. Sauces: Honey Mustard & Chick-fil-A sauce (2x each). I haven't set foot in this CFA location mainly because I can here for lunch one day and the parking lot was PACKED (minus one star). There was absolutely no room to park, so we went through the drive-thru. I suppose it went by relatively fast? Placed our orders easily and upon exiting, there were more cars jammed in the parking lot which made it hard for us to exit the lot. If only the lunch rush wasn't so crazy - but then again, that just means everybody wants some CFA! read more

Came here on a weekday in the afternoon so didn't experience any of the hectic traffic or poor service others have been saying. In fact, the customer service I received was quite good for a fast food joint. I stumbled in and told the cashier that I needed a second to check out the menu because this was my first time at a chick-fil-a. She was very enthusiastic and suggested I tried all of the sauces if I wanted to. I ended up choosing the chicken nugget combo and the food quality is quite high. The waffle fries were delicious. I didn't know why they tastes good but I kept on munching them and I realize it's not only the light batter and chewy goodness but it's all of the different dipping sauces so the taste was never getting old. As for the nuggets themselves, while they tasted fine I wasn't drooling over them and maybe it's because they feel a little oily and heavy after eating them but the sauces help a lot! I'll admit if they didn't have a wide variety of dipping sauces I probably wouldn't come back though. I have to admit, I've never been to Chick Fil A, so I never understood how it could possibly stand out among other fast food places. How was it different from KFC or even McDonalds? Here's how. First, the inside is very clean. Not just cleaned often and superficially like so many McDonalds, but clean like a real restaurant. Second, the service is genuinely friendly. The smiles were warm and not the usual tired forced smiles you see at so many fast food places. And the words seemed to come from a deeper place than the most recent version of the employee handbook. Third, the food was actually pretty good. I got their deluxe chicken sandwich, fries and the Oreo shake. The fries were light and crispy. The shake was absolutely delicious, it put In n Out's shake (which I really like) to shame. The sandwich was a little disappointing. It was fresh and didn't leave me with a sick overly full feeling, but it was also pretty bland. Next time, I think I'll give the spicy sandwich a try. read more

Tried this on a Saturday afternoon for a first time. Place was packed ! They even have a person directing traffic in the parking lot. Not too fond of the small parking lot and being located on bustling El Camino. Had chick fil a once and gave it another chance. Their customer service is better than most fast food places. -ice cream cone--talk about leaving an impression, it was presented to me while I was sitting patiently waiting for my food. Not as creamy as McDs with minute ice crystals in between. Eat it fast because it was slowly dripping through the cone. -waffle fries--not quite crispy and felt like I was eating more of the actual potato -grilled nuggets--guess it's a new thing and gave it a taste. Not grilled to order and felt like it was sitting under the warmer for a while. Definitely had the grill marks to prove it was grilled but not as tasty as it would have been if it was grilled to order. Sticking to the fried chicken sandwiches. Finally got to stop in! Before I had passed by, there were under-construction but now they're open! Apparently they've been open for 7 months now. Fairly small parking lot that gets filled extremely quick. Major lunch crowd as well. What sucks is there's only one entry way that's also the exit that's on El Camino so it maybe hard to get onto the road at certain times of the day. So why am I so excited to go to a fast food chain when I typically hate going to them? Because Chick-fil-a brings a lot of childhood memories for me. I actually grew up eating this in TX, so I was super excited that they're opening up more locations in CA. Our order: Chick-fil-a Nuggets: (12 ct order) hand-breaded all breast meat chicken Chick-fil-a Grilled Nuggets: (12 ct order) boneless breast of chicken, marinated with a special blend of seasonings and grilled Chick-fil-a Deluxe Chicken Sandwich combo: hand-breaded boneless breast chicken served on a toasted, buttered bun* with dill pickle chips, Green Leaf lettuce, tomato and American cheese (I swapped the cheese to Colby). Meal comes with a side of waffle potato fries Peach Milkshake (limited time item): hand -spun shake with bits of real fruit topped with a cherry *They have an option for a Golden Wheat bun if you want as well My typical way to order the Deluxe is with Provolone instead of the American, but they no longer have that option! =( They do have the option of Colby or Pepper Jack though. Not the same without the provolone, but still the juicy chicken patty that I remember. Sometimes if I want something a little spicy I would order the Spicy Deluxe chicken sandwich since it's actually not very spicy. The nuggets are the same as the chicken sandwich but the grilled nuggets didn't taste good. Just like the frozen chicken strips you can get at the grocery store. I love the waffle fries here as they're crispy and not all air. Oh and you gotta try the Polynesian sauce! I eat the nuggets, the sandwiches, the waffle fries all with that sauce. It's in between a sweet and sour sauce and a sweet Thai chilli sauce. They have packs of a Texan hot sauce which tastes like a sweeter Tapatio sauce which is interesting. But if you just want Tapatio, they have packets of that too! The ketchup packets they use is the Heinz dip & squeeze ones too which are fun to use. If you don't want a shake, you should try their Icedream which is their soft serve. They do have an option to add chocolate or strawberry toppings as well. The employees are all really friendly and helpful (maybe because they're still new?). When you dine-in, they'll bring the food to your table. The Florida girl in me makes me drive 10 miles to this location every time I crave some comfort food. Chick-fil-A is absolutely my favorite fast food chain. It is where my best friend and I would religiously eat on our girls outings. It brings back memories of home - and obviously the food is good. In addition, the team here is super quick and friendly. Last time we went to the drive through there was a lady in front us that argued by being overcharged 3 cents or so. For a good 10 minutes. She would not move even when asked 20 times. The line was enormous behind us. The manager lost his cool. But we got free sandwiches out of it - and it was not the restaurants fault. Awesome location! read more

Haven't had Chik-fil-A in a couple years.. I can't believe it! It was so tasty. They have set up their parking lot so cars can all come in for drive thru and make a loop inside their parking lot so that cars are not waiting outside on the streets - smart! The line may look long but there are so many staff walking around (in masks!) and tablets to take orders. Just play some good jams and wait for your spicy chicken deluxe sandwiches.. mmm! If you like REALLY cheesy mac n cheese..theirs is really cheesy. And do NOT forget to order their waffle fries with the chik-fil-a sauce :) I was impressed with their ordering set up and even more impressed with the food. Oh, Chickfila, how I have missed you! Back in Texas, CFA is everywhere- I was a little distressed to realize that this part of CA isn't particularly familiar with this chain. Then I drove by late one night last month and realized they were opening up soon! Yelp, no lie, I've been counting down the days til I got to put this delectable chicken back in my mouth again. BF is on a no-bread kick, so in solidarity I ordered the #8 tenders meal instead of my usual sandwich. The regular is best, but the spicy is surprisingly good too, even if you're not a huge spice fan in the first place. In any case, the food was delish- hot and fresh, plenty of ChickFilA sauce packets available from our cashier, and the amazing waffle fries I've missed so much. The meal really hit the spot, and it was cool to see the manager so involved in the lunch rush business- he even brought out our food! They were super busy, likely due to the fact that they're so new- supply and demand, all that jazz- but this location seems a little less than ideal. For starters, the building itself looks like an office building at towers at 2 or 3 floors. Maybe they use the extra space for storage, or they plan to rent out office space up there? No clue, but there was clearly much more space in the building than what was being used specifically for the dining/kitchen. Drive Thru line is poorly placed, but clearly done so in order to maximize the space available for the line to wrap around the building. Unfortunately that line also blocks parking spaces for dine- in customers. Speaking of parking, it really irks me that the first three parking spaces available in the lot are reserved for Employees- who on earth does this!? And then the next three or four are specifically for "Clean Air Cars"?? What the!!? Okay, whatever. So you have to park on the other side of the building to actually get to park your car normally. I can already tell the drive-thru is going to be an issue- as we left, an employee was out directing traffic in the parking lot so that entering cars would stop and let exiting drive thru cars leave. The BEST CFA in the area!! I've been here twice - once via drive-thru and today at lunch. This location has the best food and the best service. I know CFA is known for their service, but the service here blows my mind. Everyone is so friendly, the food is delicious, and they haven't ONCE forgotten any part of my order. I went for a drive through during shelter in place and they have really good logistics that keeps the long line moving without having cars block the road outside. The staff members are enthusiastic and very polite. The whole drive through experience took less than 30 minutes. And the food is as good as it is. read more
