This location wasn't very cooperative or understanding. Long story short, told manager for a simple refund, gave them their paper bag with the burger box with the cockroach in the burger. He concluded that he would give me a gift card, even though I told him I could not bare the thought of eating there again. Why in his right mind would he think that I would want food from them again? I may not agree with the founder's politics, but I do have to admit that I am addicted to their chicken sandwiches! It's actually probably a good thing for me that they are closed on Sundays, otherwise I would probably be visiting on a weekly basis. I do so love their chicken biscuit breakfast sandwiches and their classic chicken sandwiches (hold the pickle!). And I also like to indulge in their waffle fries every now and again. But really, the chicken can't be beat. I read somewhere that one of their secrets to keeping it super juicy is marinating the chicken in pickle juice, but I try not to think about that too much. The service is always super friendly and attentive. I like that I can order and pay for items from the app and then immediately walk in to pick up my order, without having to wait in line. I don't think my love for Chick Fil A will ever ever die. It's just SO GOOD... I usually stop by Chick Fil A after going to a doctors appointment nearby. Usually going to the doctor makes me all cranky and irritated, but the second I get my Chick Fil A, everything changes. I always order the 8 count nuggets meal. It usually comes to about $8 and comes with a free drink and waffle fries. Let me tell you, their nuggets are out of this world. I could eat them for dayyysss. They are so full of flavor and so crispy on the outside! The inside is always tender, juicy, and hot. The waffle fries are not to be missed out on too! They are also super addicting and just really complete the meal. They are also nice and crisp on the outside and soft and potatoey on the inside. Yum yum and more yum!! Chik-fil-a gets very crowded during the lunch hour! Parking is crazy too! Do not park next door or they will tow your car. Cheryl and i go here a lot with her kids. They have a mini play area indoors that the kids love. While they play, me and Cheryl chow down. I like the regular Chicken sandwich plain but Cheryl loves the spicy chicken sandwich with everthing. The waffle fries are a delicious side. The kids get nuggets and a fruit cup to go. I was angry last time i was there when a group of people cleared off our table when we went to get the kids from the play area. I used to proclaim that I hate fast food chains, but it became a big lie thanks to chick-fil-a. I came here recently again and got the grilled chicken sandwich #5 entree and felt so whole eating it. The chicken was well cooked and the tomatoes were perfectly ripe. I was also happy to hear some wholesome hillsong instrumental music playing. I've been very impressed by the staff members ability to find the people who ordered based on the cone color and their faces. Most other fast food chains require you to go up, but I was happy that I was allowed to just be served my food. :) The chick-fil-a sauce is definitely the yummiest but also 140 cal per pack, so watch out! (I'd opt for the honey mustard at 40 cal instead or straight up ketchup.) Soft serve is a must. read more

This review is for the drive-thru. As a visitor from Hawaii, one of my MUST DO things is Chick-fil-a. The wonder of technology is that I just told Siri where I wanted to go & gave me directions to this location. There wasn't too many cars in the drive-thru line, so I decided to skip going in. (And the fact that it was 52 degrees.) When we pulled up, the voice that greeted us was so friendly! It put a smile on my face. My daughter knew exactly what she wanted, a Chick-fil-a Deluxe combo. I didn't want a combo, so I opted for the chicken nuggets. Daughter encouraged me to grab the 30 nugget pack. I think it was to share... The time from ordering to the pick up window was about 3 minutes. For me, that's really good. There were 3 cars in front of us. When we got to the window, the window associate asked us how many sauces we wanted. I told her that I was from Hawaii, the land of no Chick-fil-a, so could she recommend what I should try. She said the regular sauce was the best and that she would give us ample packets. Suddenly, another associate, Harrison, showed up at the window and made his suggestion getting the regular sauce. As we spoke to him, we found out that he was from Hawaii, too! Small world, right? Our order came right up, and it was hot & correct! When we finally got to eat our food, we both thought that the chicken is AMAZING! The sauce was HEAVENLY! Like, angels were singing. Came here with my girl from San Francisco and we ordered on the app a spicy chicken sandwich, 12pc nuggets, 2 large waffle fries, and Mac n cheese. We got to the drive thru and was a relatively short wait and when we got to one of the drive thru workers, we told them we had a mobile order and was told to park at spot 8. We do this and waited about 5min for our food. A guy came by and dropped it off and we quickly checked all the items, and they were all there. Cool. So we start driving home and half way we thought, "oh shoot we forgot to check if they gave us sauces." So we look and look and we only found 1 packed of chik fila sauce. No ketchup or anything else. I always order my food and still pay for my large ice cream cone and just go back up to the counter when I'm ready to eat it. I'm not usually a fan of fast food chikin sandwiches (not even Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich does it for me). Been to Chick-fil-A twice, but it wasn't until last night that I finally managed to try their spicy chicken sandwich. Ahmazing - truly as good as a fast food fried chikin sandwich can get! The chicken was delicious and crispy with just a perfect amount of spiciness. It was quite thick overall but the breading was light and oh-so-flavorful! The sandwich itself wasn't as big as other chikin sandwiches I've had, but that's mostly because of the small buns. Still filled me up nonetheless and held the sandwich together well. Costs only $4.45! Nuggets were also great; very juicy and packed with flavor. I especially enjoy dipping these puppies in their Polynesian sauce (sweet and tangy). Waffle fries are another must-have item - served hot and fresh with just the right amount of saltiness. I usually upgrade to large since I heart them so much! Their customer service is the best in the fast food industry; they are polite, helpful and even bring the food to our table. A week after the grand opening, the new Sunnyvale Chick-Fil-A is still packed to the brim. I could barely get into the parking lot, and finding a free space was a no-go. Fortunately there's always parking at OSH a block away. Yeah, that extra walking did me good, considering all the delicious calories I loaded myself with here. Large waffle fries ($2.05), check. Chargrilled chicken club sandwich ($5.49) with smoked applewood bacon and provolone, yum. A little on the high side for fast food, but one reason I like Chick-Fil-A in San Jose is its spacious, attractive ambiance and helpfulness of the employees. The Sunnyvale location is smaller in every sense: smaller parking lot, smaller store, less seating, fewer employees... yet somehow they found room for a small play place for kids. Unlike with the San Jose location, I didn't see power outlets available, the decor isn't as nice, and nobody came by our table offering table service. Maybe after the hype has died down, the level of service will improve. Until then, the Sunnyvale location is pretty much just another typical fast food joint, but packed fuller than a Costco. read more

In the morning, there was light, and let it be said, that deep fried chicken, tucked into a biscuit was nothing more than perfection, if you call perfectly cooked chicken, and a chicken delivery systems something you like. For a fast-food restaurant, this is a very clean restaurant with a play area. Compare to any restaurant in SF, any South Bay restaurant is cleaner than San Francisco. On my debut of the new location, I order the Deluxe Spicy Chicken sandwich combo for $9.75. My combo also includes a handful of waffle fries and a soda. But for an extra $1.50, I wanted the Peach Milkshake (sounds yummy, huh?). The sandwich was passable and nothing to brag about. But the waffle fries were too soggy and the feature milkshake was flavorful and chunky, but watered down. I've found my favorite fast-food restaurant!!! This Chick-fil-A location offers top-notch customer service, mouth watering milkshakes, and delicious fries and chicken burgers. During my first visit, I ordered a Spicy Chicken Deluxe combo meal that came with a Spicy Chicken Deluxe Sandwich, a medium box Waffle Fries, and a medium cup of Coca-Cola ($7.59). The sandwich was filled with a large boneless chicken breast that had various seasonings, dill pickle chips, green leaf lettuce, tomatoes, and pepper jack cheese between two toasted buns. This was easily the best chicken sandwich I have ever tasted... Regarding the waffle fries, they were golden brown and were nice and thick, so I felt like I got my money's worth. During my second visit, I ordered a Spicy Chicken Sandwich ($3.85), a large box of Waffle Fries ($2.09), and a large Cookies & Cream Milkshake ($3.85). While this basic chicken sandwich only comes with a seasoned chicken breast, dill pickle chips, and a toasted bun, it's still very tasty. The waffle fries were cooked to perfection again, which was really nice. The highlight of this meal was the milkshake, as it was packed full of Oreo cookies and included whipped cream that did not taste cheap at all. During my third visit, I decided to order all of my favorites items at the same time, so I purchased a Spicy Chicken Deluxe combo meal and substituted the soda for a large Cookies & Cream Milkshake ($7.59 + $2.06 = $9.65). This Chick Fil A opened October 31, 2013, but I never went there until very recently when they mailed out coupons to the immediate neighborhood. And it's definitely not because I didn't notice the Chick Fil A! The restaurant is located on El Camino about 200 feet from the busiest intersection in Sunnyvale -where the 8 lane El Camino Real (6 lanes and 2 left turn lanes) meets the 10 lane Mathilda (6 lanes, 2 left turn lanes, two right turn lanes) at a traffic light intersection. The problem is that there is no right turn lane on east bound El Camino Real toward south Mathilda -the only direction on the four corner intersection without a right turn lane. So traffic in that right lane backs up, and up, well beyond the Chick Fil A., waiting for the light to turn green. Often you cannot leave the parking lot, until a car on El Camino stops to come into the lot. There's only one way into the Chick Fil A parking lot, and one way out, and that's right on that backed up El Camino Real right lane. So getting in and getting out of the parking lot is a nightmare during eating hours, particularly at dinner time. And the parking lot itself holds maybe 60 vehicles, while the capacity of the restaurant is in the hundreds. The place is clean, crowded, and with fast service. We walked there from our house, going to the Sunnyvale library first, and ordered one of their famous or infamous $3.50 spicy chicken sandwiches, and an overpriced $8 Chinese chicken salad. The salad is good, with chicken and mandarins mixed in with the iceberg lettuce. The $3.50 spicy chicken sandwich seems overpriced for what you get - a breaded fillet of chicken on a kaiser roll with lettuce and tomato. Granted it tastes very good, but $3.50 for a chicken sandwich, when In and Out Hamburgers are $1.80? They also have a children's play area with various playground equipment right next to the eating area in a separate room, visible from the eating area. As we leave the restaurant, cars wait to leave the packed parking lot, while an endless stream of cars on El Camino rolls by and comes to a standstill waiting for the light to turn green, trapping the parking lot cars. And if you are thinking of parking in the Fidelity Investments Parking Lot on Mathilda, two doors down, there is a sign at the entrance stating "No chick-fil-a parking -tow away'. Wanting to experience a 'different' fast food experience and reading all the great review on Yelp my former coworker and I decided to go here for lunch and glad we did! We had the usual parking challenges, but found a space in no time. This place is VERY BUSY during the lunch crowd! A really hottie heaven too! I was amazed by both the diverse patronage and also the servers too! They even hired a Muslim I assume since she was wearing a burka at work. So for all the negative publicity they get I was happy to see the Silicon Valley diversity expressed on both sides of the counter! I had the Spicy Delux Chicken sandwich with PJ Fries and Lemonade and my former coworker ordered the regular Chicken Sandwich meal with PJ Fries and Lemonade too. The total came to $16.31. After you place your order and secure your table go to the condiment area and pick out your condiments to go with your order. I really enjoyed the BBQ Sauce on my chicken as I think of chicken as a blank canvas. They give you a plastic colored flower holder that features one of their signature food items on it to identify your table and they bring you your order to your table. This branch also comes equipped with a drive-through and a kids' playground. Three cheers for convenience and family-friendliness! In terms of food, they have several options: 1. Burgers: One can choose from the original chicken burger, spicy or chargrilled (the healthiest of the three options). They only use breast meat for their burgers. I like that they don't automatically douse your burger in sauce like many fast food joints do. Instead all the burgers are served "naked" (sans sauce) and you get to pick your own sauce. They have the standard variety of sauces one can expect - ranch, honey-mustard, BBQ etc... but my personal favorite is the Chick-Fil-A sauce (although some people might find it a tad too sweet). If you want your burger with vegetables and cheese upgrade to the deluxe version. 2. Wraps and salads: Healthier options but slightly more expensive than their burgers. 3. One good thing about this location is that it was empty when we went. A rare situation for Chick Fil A's in the South bay. Service was good and food was fresh. Parking was ample.
