Chick Fil A is the bomb! But this location in particular seems to lack in some areas. The kid behind the register, tall tan and darker haired, seemed like he had somewhere better to be (and I'm sure he did!), and didn't hit me with the usual extra-friendly customer service that I've come to appreciate from CFA. When I said "thank you" after placing my order, he just hit me with an indifferent "yep" and moved me along for the next guest, like an insignificant cow being herded into the slaughterhouse. I thought I wouldn't let this one young man ruin my experience at this CFA, but after visiting a few more times I've experienced some very inconsistent chicken sandwiches. Sometimes the chicken isn't cooked enough and it lacks that tenderness, and other times it's been dripping with grease- bad enough to the point where I have to dip a napkin on it to soak it up. The most recent time I went, I ordered a Chick Fil A sandwich deluxe, only to be brought out a normal chick fil a sandwich. I guess it's too much for CFA as a whole to make the deluxe sandwich and the regular sandwich two totally separate things on the menu, since the sandwiches are very different, but I guess I have to make myself more clear (and double check the total amount I pay) before I hand over my money. This issue has happened at other CFAs too, so I can't totally blame the nice girl behind the register when it happened here. Just doesn't make sense to me why they are both considered a Number 1 on the menu. In this instance, I'm willing to drive to the Arvada CFA, as I have yet to have a bad experience there, but perhaps I will give this one ANOTHER try, but I will lower my expectations without a doubt. read more

*Update on 3/1/16: I also wrote a version of this to the Chik fi la headquarters last night. They emailed me back today, apologized and said that they would forward my message onto the owner of the branch. To my disbelief the owner himself called me tonight from his personal phone. He explained that the owner/management/staff indeed has changed and they're working on putting some of the old fun things like Kid's Night back on the schedule eventually. I completely understand how they're having to start from scratch in some ways and of course want to continue to support this business and be patient with the changes. I so appreciate both the headquarters and the local owner being extremely professional, honest and gracious with me and my family. Moved my original two stars up to three. Original Review on 2/29/16 This was one of my family's favorite and most common places to eat. My husband and I have three children 7 and under. We haven't been for a few months because life has been crazy because of a move. We came back tonight for the first time and were very disappointed. We picked Monday night because we thought it was Kid's Night. Free kid's meal with the purchase of an adult one. They also had a fun craft each and the cow walking around. It was usually PACKED with families on Monday nights but when we got there tonight there was almost no one there. We asked about the kid's night and they said they no longer did that. They also did away with letting the kids put sprinkles on their ice cream cones. It's not a big deal for us, but it sure was for our kids. The customer service also went WAY down. The cashier was nice but didn't seem to know what he was doing and didn't have the politeness that Chik fi la is known for. I had also gone through the drive through a couple of weeks ago and they messed up our order which almost never happened before. The playground was the dirtiest I've ever seen it. Usually I have no qualms about letting my kids play there but I could tell tonight the floor was very dirty and my 4 year old brought me a bloody bandaid he had found. I spoke with another mom and asked what the deal was and she said she thought management had changed in October. We discussed how disappointed we were because it doesn't seem as kid friendly and that it seems to have lost a lot of business because of it. My family used to come here almost every Monday night. I would meet my friends with kids here for lunch often. It was such a fun lively place with such a kid friendly atmosphere and I'm so bummed that it is no longer that way. We all love some good chick fill a. This location is always busy but the wait is never that long. I've been to locations where there are police directing traffic and you can wait in the drive through for over 30 minutes. This location is not like that. They are always extremely polite and pleasant to deal with and my orders are always correct with the correct amount of sauce I asked for. Been in here a couple times and it's unfortunate that this is my local chick-fil-a. The bathrooms have been trashed every time, worse than a rest stop on I-70, and when I altered someone they could care less. Most recently, I ordered curbside delivery and it took far too long. The kid who brought our food out also forgot our drinks and conveniently didn't hear us as we shouted asking him to come back. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received at Chick-Fil-A! The cashier Kayla had a dirty look on her face the whole time, didn't make eye contact. I used to be a team member at another Chick-fil-A location so I understand getting busy and occasionally messing orders up. However EVERY time I've come to this location something is wrong or missing. Last time I went I ordered a plain spicy sandwich and got a regular CFA with pickles. This time I asked for grilled nuggets and got regular. First of all, let me state that this review is for corporate and not a reflection of Nathan Anderson's franchise. I have been going to the Flat Irons location at least monthly for quite some time. I buy breakfast for an office of about 80 each month. Several months ago, I was picking up and the shift manager asked why I didn't have a loyalty account since I bought so much. So, I signed up. All was well. Then I missed scanning one time. I pulled up the app and entered the info for a missed receipt. A couple of days goes by and nothing happened. So I went on the app again and tried to re-enter two more times with days passing in between. I got no errors, no responses, no anything... I went online and reached out to customer service for assistance. After about a week, I got a response that I needed to enter the missed receipt within seven days and the missed receipt was no longer valid. IT WAS YOUR APP THAT FAILED. I tried to do it same day and twice more. This is completely unlike any customer experience I have ever had. I responded with concerns but never got any reply. I tried to go to the local stores website via www.chick-fil-a.com website but that link is broken or doesn't exist. I would have left this on a corporate site but was not able to find one. Bottom line: There are too many options out there to get poor customer service. I appreciated the local mgmt for enticing me to sign up but corporate customer support has let down this franchisee as I will be deleting my account and will no longer be a Chick-fil-A customer. I will DEFINITELY not be buying the office a Chick-fil-A breakfast any longer. This is a great example of if you do not like what your customers are saying, then continue to ignore them and the problem will correct itself. UPDATE: I gave it a week and zero reply. The past three times that I have visited this restaurant I have ordered an 8-piece chicken nugget meal with a large fry. Every time my fry box has been about half full. I am very upset because if they continue to give me such a small amount of fries I would rather just order a medium. We come here often. I have been going to Chick-fil-A for almost as long as I have been alive, originally coming from Georgia. Most of The Chick-fil-A locations are very consistent with excellent service, I have only found a few that were not excellent. This location is a good location. There is one specific gentleman that works here, named Matt, that is a natural when it comes to guest service. He doesn't need all of the bells and whistles to make you feel comfortable and well taken care of. Some good old fashion "yes sir, no sir" and using the name of the guest, gets Matt my respect as a service professional. Every time I come, and I deal with him, he is focused on getting the order right, repeating it back to me and ensuring I am satisfied. That is what I like. He is the kind of service professional that I prefer to deal with. If everyone in the service business handled themselves, had a mindset like, and was concerned with doing the job to the best of their abilities like Matt then outstanding service would be an epidemic in America. Overall, I'm not a huge fan, but my kids love it. Unfortunately, the super friendly and polite staff can't get an order right. During our last two visits - we ordered food to go inside the store - but both times they screwed up. There is no excuse for hurrying - we waited 5-6 minutes each time. The first time, the entire family got their order, except my 7yo. They forgot his sandwich. This past weekend, we tried again, and wanting to be fair, they neglected to include my 3yo's drink in his kids meal. I know people make mistakes, but when it affects the kids, it's a deal killer. My kids may love the food, but I don't love the crying that comes along with it. read more

My husband and I take too many trips out to this Chick-Fil-A (especially with the fact that we live in Boulder as a consideration). I've been to many CFAs in my life, and am always appreciative of the great customer service at each one. This location is no different! The workers are always very polite and gracious, and I really appreciate that! The food is very tasty, too, especially when you consider it's fast food! I just wish they'd get rid of the msg (though that's maybe what makes it so delicious). The waffle fries, though, are low sodium, which I appreciate (check the detailed nutrition facts on their site) and the sweet tea is fantastically delicious. Their icedream is yummy too (soft-serve type stuff). We probably won't make quite as many trips out there (since I'm trying to be healthier with my eating) but every once in awhile it'll be a nice treat! read more

Went in kinda late. It was nearly empty, yet we had a gaggle of young girls in line in front of us who were clearly irritating the cashier with their stellar attitudes. He handled it like a pro. This Chick-fil-A is the absolute worst I've been too. They've messed up my order, without fail, every single time. Sometimes it's the wrong sandwich, sometimes it's missing fries, sometimes it's an extra sandwich. Who runs this place? Better yet, who owns this franchise? All the employees are really nice, good thing, because they're always screwing up. The management seems nonexistent at this location because of how unorganized things are. Maybe they just get to choose employees from the bottom of the barrel... At least they don't actually have to cook anything, or else I'm sure it'd be screwed up too. After posting on Yelp, I was contacted by a manager. They wanted a chance to make it right and assured me it would never happen again. I went back in recently, and ordered my oranges. I'll be honest; I stopped here because my employer was their Business of the Week, so I could get a free original chicken sandwich. I was a little disappointed that they wouldn't sub a grilled patty for the breaded one, but I got over it. I liked the side salad I ordered with it - crispy, fresh, and loaded with carrots and broccoli. The drive thru was pretty backed up, but the store itself wasn't especially crowded. Traveling from out of town, I ordered my usual (at home, anyway) substitution of a side salad instead of fries for a kid's meal. They refused, so instead I ordered an adult meal with grilled nuggets and a side salad instead of fries. At the window, you guessed it--fries, no salad, and fried instead of grilled chicken. When I pointed out the error, was told that they wouldn't take the fries or chicken back and that they do not make ANY substitutions. I asked if they could make an exception, because it was their error. The server (snippily, insinuating that I lied about my order) told me that they could not give me a refund and I would have to buy another grilled chicken and salad separately. I wasted $12 on fried food that I didn't order and couldn't eat. Threw it in the trash and I will not ever eat at a Chick filet again unless it's my home location which happily makes substitutions. read more

This is by far the best Chick-Fil-A. They have th friendliest staff and management. My husband and I work nearby and come here for lunch about once a week. They do get extremely busy during the week for lunch hour; however, we never wait long for our food and it is usually hot and fresh. The establishment is always clean, they come by and ask if you would like a refill and when you are done they come by and take your tray for you. I LOVE CHICK-FIL-A!
