Great fried Chicken place. We tried a couple of things there and their spicy fried chicken is the best there. Delicious batter and juicy meat. The New Orleans wings were alright. Not the best flavor and smaller than the fried wings. The fries were soggy and the flavor was lacking. The wraps are big and juicy. Great bang for your buck. If you come here definitely get the Spicy Fried Wings, The Wraps, or the chicken burgers!

Delicious! The popcorn chicken was perfectly crispy without being dry or oily. Plus, huge portion size for the "side dish" of popcorn chicken and at a great price. I ate it as my meal and it was filling with the curly fries. Fries taste like Arby's curly fries which I love. Flavorful and crispy. There was also a lot of fries! One order of fries was perfect for 2 people. Plus, I like dry rubs, so I got the seaweed seasoning on the fries. It was so good, I love the blend of asian flavors here given the location of the store is in a fairly asian dominant area.

Stopped by for lunch and got it to go! As of last month I paid $17.65 for the meal combo with crispy chicken on bun (dark meat), sub for curly fries, and a soda. I really liked it! The chicken sandwich was super juicy like I was so impressed? And the sauce and toppings that they give you just make it a satisfying bite. Not like other places where it's like bread + meat + tiny bit of spread + iceberg lettuce unless you add a bunch of toppings. Here they actually make it worth your while. The curly fries also really hit the spot and are seasoned thoroughly. Not sure if they make it in house but I'm not complaining. I wish it was packed separately though so the fries stayed crispy. The steam of everything in one box kinda made them soft. Unpictured is the giant cup of soda that you fill up yourself and something greasy like this just alwayssss pairs so well with soda. Just get the combo it's so worth. They do take awhile to bring out your food (I'm sure since it's made to order) so I'll probably order ahead next time. Just factor that in if you're trying to get it on your lunch break!

I came placed order on kiosk. And wow!!!! Mind blown.. the waffle fries are so good and the sandwich so crispy . I was craving mozzarella sticks. Bomb!!!! Is chill inside.

Good chicken spot for a quick bite. Had the chicken sandwhich meal and it was delicious. My girlfriend had gotten the spicy wings and boy I tell you it made a grown man tear up. It was spicy... It also stayed hot throughout the time we were eating so the wings are spicy from the outside and hot from the inside. The ambiance wasn't anything special, seemed like a place to order Togo but it was still good regardless.

We were passing thru SGV and I craving a fried chicken sandwich but with an asian flavor twist. Not sure if this had it or not but it was still a good sandwich! We went late on a Friday night an hour before closing. We ordered at the counter though they also had self-help kiosks. I had the chicken sandwich and it was so juicy (cause I got dark meat) and dripping with flavor. I thought the batter had some Asian flavoring to it but my partner thought it was pretty basic. Either way, we both agreed it was good. My partner had the walnut shrimp burger. It felt slightly undercooked (there were some bit of grey) but it came with a lot of walnuts. It tasted good though--the parts we were sure were fully cooked that is. We also got onion rings as a side which we both liked. Overall it was good food but next time we may ask for the shrimp burger to be extra done if that's even an option (only reason this wasn't a 5 stars experience). The store itself was well-lit, clean, and the staff was friendly. Parking was easy for us since it was late but I can see parking being an issue since they have no lot and there is a busy plaza across the way. FYI - The take out containers for the sandwiches are also super heavy duty. There is ample space for some steam to fill before it starts making the food soggy (we ate in the car so our food didn't get soggy). I applaud the heavy duty, paper containers--I assume they're better for the environment than plastic or styrofoam.

Are you craving a chicken sandwich, but not one from a mainstream fast food franchise? This describes why I decided to pick Chicken Bun Bun! I placed a pick up order and picked it up at around 6 pm. It wasn't busy in the store at the time, but I needed to wait a bit because the staff was in the back. For my order, I got the spicy chicken sandwich with a side of popcorn chicken. I thought the container designs were very creative and interesting! The popcorn chicken had a lot of flavor, it was juicy, and it paired well with the sauce. It also had a good crunch on the outside. The pieces were big and they were also generous with the amount. For the chicken sandwich, it was crispy, spicy, and didn't taste greasy. The coleslaw and the pickles were great additions to the sandwich. The bun selection was great, because it kept the sandwich together. As for the sauce, I did ask for it to be spicy. As someone that likes spicy food, I thought it was great and as expected. The ratio of the sauce was also a good amount.

    Cute packaging!

I stopped by here in a Monday afternoon. They have an excellent chicken sandwich! I got the spicy version, white meat. Price was 9.99 (same price for dark meat). I waited about 5 minutes for the order. The sandwich was huge! Spice was flavorful with a good amount of kick. A couple of pickles and sauce inside the fluffy top bun. The filet breading was excellent . It had a real nice crisp to it and wasn't greasy at all. There were several pickup orders while I waited for my sandwich, so I assume they've got a website for order ahead. I'll try that next time. Plenty of parking along Main street, either at the curb or one of the various lots. Will definitely come back.

    Popcorn Chicken. Yum.
    Y T.

People that actually care about what they're serving and you can taste it. Popcorn chicken are quality whole pieces of chicken and they're made fresh to order. Batter is more like good Popeyes than Taiwanese popcorn chicken. I find myself craving this place. I saw another guy finishing eat one sandwich and got up immediately to order another so I guess I'm not the only one. Only about 4-5 tables but feels neat and orderly inside. Busiest weekday afternoons after the nearby high school lets their prisoners out.

This is such a disappointing place. The food weren't good, service was mediocre, and the place was so empty. We were searching for a quick lunch spot on Main St. and noticed this place so stopped by to check it out. Both of us ordered the Crispy Chicken On Bun combo. My friend got the french fries and I got the macaroni salad. The fries were so soggy and bland. The macaroni salad didn't tasted good. Only reason they got an extra star is because we both liked their signature crispy chicken on bun burger. It was packed with flavor and a good portion. Don't think we will come back here again. We weren't satisfied with our meals.

Ok the Spicy Chicken Bun Bun Sando is legit my top 5 all time. Was really surprised, its Taiwanese style, batter is super crispy, fresh and that spicy level caught me off guard. Comes with their sauce pickles and cabbage. Originally tried the location in Rowland Heights, which has closed now. Place is clean, with enough sitting. Staff was nice, not very talkative, which i have no quarrels with food is yummy. Pro-Tip: Sando is fried fresh, order ahead and save the wait.

    Cai D.

My favorite fried chicken place. Their chicken sandwich is the best. Their spicy chicken wings are also amazing. Everything is made fresh so after you order there will be a bit of wait but it's worth. The meat is so juice and tender. It's my guilty pleasure.

What's even crazier is that I've been a diehard bone-in/traditional wings believer, but bb.q Chicken's boneless wings converted me to the dark side. In fact, I will shamelessly admit that I only ever order their boneless wings here after having tried them. Unlike other places' boneless wings, which use dry white meat (an absolute abomination IMHO), bb.q Chicken uses actual dark meat and are actual "boneless wings." The Cheesling flavor is to die for. Get the limited time Buldak Cheesling flavor for a special spicy kick. If you want an alcoholic drink with your chicken, I suggest sticking with beer or bottled soju. Their soju cocktails are pretty weak and have a strange pre-mixed flavor to them.

So to have your employee give me a whole speech at 8:45 about when you close the kitchen and how long I have to eat, is unacceptable, lack of customer service. And then denying service to 4 people at 9:08pm, also doesn't make for good ambiance or service. I paid $60 for 2 people to share a rice bowl and small batch of wings; what would those 4 people have ordered $$$? *change your hours if your trying to close early 2nd the wings have really reduced in quality and flavor, did you degrade or change in quality of chicken; or is that your not following the same recipe? And lastly, and this change I can sympathize with, but I very much enjoyed the yellow danmuji radishes in the bulgogi bowl, so eff those people who asked you to take them out; causing you to decide to no longer include them

Well that was ages ago and it wasn't until now that I was able to visit and try out their delicious katsu, which hands down, is super good! I went during National Library Card Month. During the month of September, the city of Monterey Park is running a special where if you have a MPK library card, you can get deals and freebies from businesses and you can get an iced or green tea from Kagura if you show them your library card. I got a cold canned green tea, added to a cup of ice, refreshing and great with the delicious katsu that I got. I did a walk in for a slightly later lunch after dropping by Asayoru Maid Cafe across the street for a drink during their morning Asa shift. I went on a Thursday and was seated immediately. Staff is very friendly and checked up on me several times. It's a smaller restaurant, but it's simple and elegant in it's own way. No extra frills or bells and whistles. There were a couple other tables dining there and pick up orders too, so I can imagine it'd be busy during the weekends and lunch/dinner rushes. They have a paper wait list outside for those times. Limited parking in front of the plaza, but there's a parking structure next door. For my lunch, I got their demi glace loin katsu. It comes with miso soup, a side of rice, huge helping of cabbage salad with dressing, hot mustard, and some small sides of a sweet carrot salad, cucumber pickles, and 2 pieces of potatoes. Each side added a nice balance to flavor. I mention this in some reviews and to my friends that usually you get full because you get tired of the same flavor and texture all of the time, so I really enjoyed the small bites of crunchy texture from sweet, sour, and savory. The katsu is really where Kagura shines, as it's what they're known for. Super moist pork katsu meat inside, deliciously tender delicate layers of meat. The crisp of the breading outside isn't too greasy, but has the perfect level of indulgent oiliness that balances out. All perfect with a fluffy bed of rice and the demi glace brown sauce added a deliciously savory, slightly sort of fruity ketchup-y flavor (added this to my rice too!). Definitely want to come back to try more of their menu!

We were spending the day with her in the City of Angels to run some errands and help her out and as a treat for our hard work, she wanted to treat us and to see if we concur with her lofty assertion. HR lived up to her hype and I can't wait to eat the leftovers we brought home after dining at this chicken sando institution. For me, it's definitely THE BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH I'VE EVER EATEN. Besides the spectacular grub, what I truly was impressed with was the GREAT customer service from Rico and his coworkers. There are two Howlin' Ray's in Los Angeles. The one we visited was located in Pasadena and their first location can be found in Chinatown. Both locations are popular with diners, so I recommended you visiting when the doors open. The Pasadena HR is next to Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee, it's across the street from Petco and Turner's Outdoorsman, and it's just down the road from WaBa Grill and a Starbucks. This was my wife and my first visit to HR and our daughter brought us here before 5pm. Please don't be discouraged by the long line of diners waiting to enter the restaurant. The staff do a great job getting the diners through the ordering counter and finding seats for customers wanting to dine in. You'll wait in line, order your food from the register, and then wait until a table opens up. The tables consists of booths inside and tables and chairs outside under a covered patio. The customer service from the young lady at the order counter, Rico and the team ensuring that diners are seated and taken care of, and the employees expediting the food was customer friendly and customer focused. The employees were so kind, hard working, and I was really impressed by their top notch customer service. Major props to the owners for making customer service a priority. Delicious food will make customers gravitate towards a restaurant, but when combined with impeccable customer service, I understand why customers like my daughter swear by Howlin' Ray's. Yo HR ownership group, San Diego needs one of your restaurants and I can assure you that customers will inundate your restaurant. I wanted to order as much as I could from their menu, so that I could verify if the hype was real. The hype is real folks!! I ordered The Sando, Shake Fries, Collard Greens, Potato Salad, and Sweet Peach Tea. We also ordered the following dipping sauces, which are must orders: Comeback Sauce, Tennessee Tang, and Sweet Money Mustard. Their Sando comes with a boneless breast, slaw, comeback sauce, and pickles encapsulated in a butter bun. I'm a fan of spicy chicken sandwiches, so for my spice level, I chose Medium. I wanted to enjoy my food, which is why I went with medium. Rico gave me a sample of a Medium Plus piece of chicken and I'm so glad I chose medium. Medium Plus was really hot, so imagine what the high spice levels taste. The Sando was huge, the chicken was tender and flavorful, and the components all ate really well together. Their collard greens were juicy and satisfying. Arguably some of the best I've eaten. The potato salad was creamy and dill infused. So yummy!! Loved their seasoned shake fries, which were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing after dipping them in the variety of sauces. I am definitely a Howlin' Ray's convert and wholeheartedly concur with my daughter's positive accolades of this chicken sandwich institution. Not only was their food memorable, but the customer service from their staff matched the greatness of the grub. If you're in Los Angeles, visit Howlin' Ray's.

It's family-owned, and you can definitely feel it. Everyone was so warm, friendly, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The only thing I would change is that I wish all of the food came out at the same time instead of being spread out throughout the meal. Other than that, we had a great experience. Can't wait to come back and try more!

It was great being able to chat with him, and he was extremely hospitable. He made sure to give me plenty of water on such a hot day, as I had my pug with me and we were sitting on the patio on a hot summer day. The lomo saltado was perfect. Tender, juicy beef, delicious fries and sauce, white rice, red onions, and roasted red peppers. The Pollo à la Brasa was off the hook. We got a half chicken with fried plantains and Peruvian beans. Absolutely delectable. Chicken was juicy and tender with perfectly crisp skin. Seasoning was just right. Fried plantains were best I've ever had. Lightly fried with a moist and lightly sweet interior. We also tried an order of Papas Huancaina. The potatoes were perfectly tender, and the sauce had a nice little kick without being too much. Service was impeccable. People constantly checked on us on the patio. The World Cup was playing on two flatscreen TVs on the patio and two flatscreen TVs inside. Everyone here is happy! Restrooms are incredibly clean and surprisingly lovely with scented candles and plants. El Dorado exceeded my expectations and I'll definitely be back. If you're a fan of Peruvian cuisine in a casual but lovely and comfy atmosphere, you must come. El Dorado Pollos a la Brasa is authentic and friendly and delicious and perfect.
