HUMMUS IS A MUST ORDER !!!
    Jaz R.

We got the family platter #3 plus two extra chicken skewers - WOW!! The meat?!? So tender so JUICY, I've never seen chicken fall apart tbh. SO SO GOOD. The rice is great and the charred veggies. The only thing we didn't love was the salad/salad dressing. The dressing just tasted a little odd and maybe had no salt at all but no strong flavor hence was weird lol and the actual salad was just with cheap greens that we dont like (iceburg) so it was awful, we ate a little bit i wouldn't come here for the salad. But the freaking meat?! 10/10!!! The hummus is DELICIOUS but it comes in a container half the size of the cucumber sauce which was also fire. I would order two hummus, really tasty! It's take out only - food was ready within 15 minutes. Will def be back!!

On my days off from my Thai restaurant lol, I love to have my fav international cuisines. Especially middle eastern. The kind of best rich tasting cuisines I grew up with as a child.. feasting. When it comes to my fav Persian cuisines, I always just come here to dine in or take out or both with my usual 2 fav childhood stews.. the koresh bandamjan and the koresh sabzi. And of course with real cherry rices. And with the persian salad on the side. All so delicious. The service here is always polite and friendly. Happy for this family to open their new location soon. But i like to keep coming to this one.

Persian food is one of my favorite cuisines and while visiting some family for the weekend, I had the sudden urge for some Persian food. Chicken Chick came through to satisfy my cravings! I ordered the Koobideh Combo Plate and Persian Eggplan (Kashke Bademjan). I also had to get a taste of their Ghormeh Sabzi since that is also one of my favorite dish so I got a small side of that delicious green stew. The beef and chicken koobideh were very tasty and juicy. The Persian Eggplant was very light and smooth; it wasn't swimming in olive oil (although I do love it when it is). And the Ghormeh Sabzi was as delicious as any place I've had it before...a behemoth of a meal thanks to my over-order but the food coma that entailed was all worth it.

Food consistently hits the spot. Service - they treat you like family. Ambiance - never fails to relax your senses the delight to see the food, smell the aroma, taste every ingredient and you realize that it is a labor love in every bite. We always order the combo platter so we can have some leftover to enjoy at home. The best way to end your experience is to sip some hot tea with some rose essence. Everything is just perfect . Don't take my word for it .. Bon Appetit

Delicious little family owned placed, love how fast the service is, friendly staff, and the food is just simply amazing. If you're into spicy, the spicy juicy chicken is one of their signature dishes, the sauce is added on the side to add extra kick. The hummus is a little on the salty side, but still delicious. I'm obsessed with their Persian salad.

Lamb Shank - can't believe it's Lamb! So good and soft! Def a new favorite.

Don't let the construction outside deter you from going here lol. Good food, reasonable price, good service. Truly a gem in South Bay. I like their juicy chicken but love the koobideh more. The lamb shank tho...juicy, saucy, and a little sweet but tangy from the tomato-based sauce....ugh, so good. Add the red hot sauce they give, and you get that kick and extra flavor boost. Many people take their food to go since the dine-in area is very small, plus that ridiculous construction outside, but it's nice to eat in every now to eat the food hot and fresh from the kitchen.

Ordered by phone for takeout, which you pick up at their temporary location in Lawndale (16711 Hawthorne Blvd. - I called 424-396-3438). I ordered my usual Juicy Chicken combo with cherry rice upgrade and Persian salad substitute. It is the same great flavors as it has always been, including the broiled tomato that comes with the Juicy Chicken kabab. The pickup location is used by a lot of different restaurants, so just follow your GPS to go to that address. (There are many signs labeling that location such as "South Bay Eats," "Food Pickup," "Pineway Food," and so on - see the photos.) Street parking only. It looked a bit sketchy at first but not to worry, everything worked out fine. We entered the glass doors, went up to the window in the wall, told them about our phone-in order from Chicken Chick and we could pay right there. Food was hot and yummy as always. I'm glad they are able to continue to provide great-tasting food prior to their new permanent location.

"Chicken Chick Mediterranean in Torrance delivers juicy, tender chicken bursting with flavor. The service is impeccable, making for a delightful dining experience." They recently moved to a new location in Hawthorne and I'm so glad that this business didn't closed due to the issue with the old building they were located before. My go to chicken kabobs place. I highly recommend it

Some of the juiciest and most flavorful chicken breast I've had. Love the flavor. Wish they gave you more chicken for the amount of rice, they give you tonssss of it but overall really really good.

The menu also features traditional Pakistani, Persian, and Arabic dishes, such as Beef Nihari and Haleem. After several visits, here are my thoughts on some of their grilled meats and desserts. Beef Kofta - 3/5. The kofta was a bit dry and tough. I wish it had more fat and seasoning to make it juicier and more flavorful. The grilling is also somewhat inconsistent--sometimes the kofta comes out beautifully browned, while other times it's over-charred. Grilled Fish - 4/5. This is easily my favorite item on the menu and, in my opinion, their best dish. The fish is seasoned just enough to enhance its natural flavor without overpowering it. It's grilled very well, developing a beautiful golden-brown crust while remaining moist and tender inside. Beef Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. The quality of the beef is decent, especially considering the price. Given the cut of meat they use, they've done a commendable job with the grilling. The beef has a solid seasoning base and a nice sear with just enough char to add flavor without becoming overly smoky. It's reasonably tender, though I wish it retained a bit more juiciness. Chicken Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. Very similar to the beef shish kebab. It has good flavor and is grilled well, but it could benefit from being a little juicier. Gyro - 2/5. Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment. The gyro meat on the vertical spit often appears to be rotating without enough heat to properly caramelize and crisp the exterior. As a result, the meat comes across as dry, rubbery, and lacking the rich roasted flavor that makes a great gyro. Kunafa (Knafeh) - 3/5. This dessert has both strengths and weaknesses. The cheese filling has a pleasant, slightly salty flavor and a creamy texture, and I appreciate that it isn't overly sweet. However, the syrup is underwhelming. A good kunafa should be generously coated with a fragrant sugar syrup - ideally infused with rose water or orange blossom water - to provide sweetness and aroma. I also wish the kataifi, the shredded pastry dough, were crispier and lighter to create a better contrast with the gooey cheese filling. Overall, Al Hamra Kabob Grill is one of the better places to enjoy Middle Eastern-style grilled dishes in the South Bay. While a few menu items could be improved, the grilled fish stands out as excellent, and the shish kebabs are solid choices. The owner is also incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm, neighborhood atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. It's not perfect, but it's a restaurant I enjoy visiting from time to time and one I'd recommend if you're craving grilled Middle Eastern flavors.

This place wreaks of "I want to pretend to be a chef/cook, to make money but have no idea on earth what it takes to do it". I HIGHLY recommend, the cook go to culinary school before opening a place to sell food. There was no one in the restaurant when we arrived. We ordered chicken wings (came out under cooked) they were littered with cilantro..why? Who does that? And the plate was splashed with buffalo mostly missing the wings. As if a baker would do with a dessert plate and some Carmel or chocolate drizzle. Weird. The mozzarella sticks were from Costco. And he laid them on one single piece of iceberg lettuce leaf. No marinara. Just cheese sticks and an old leaf. I recommend a few classes in plating your dishes. I also ordered water and an iced tea. He charged us $5. He then proceeded to walk outside to the liquor store nearby and purchased an off brand bottle of water and a lemon iced tea and gave it to us. Lol talk about unprofessional. Imagine ordering a burger from a new place and they take your money and walk across the street and bring you a Big Mac. Wild It took 37 mins to get our appetizers (wings and mozzarella sticks) At the one hour mark I had enough. I asked him to refund me my money as it was taking way too long for our food. And I noticed he was JUST starting the pizza we ordered sprinkling mixed cheddar cheese from Costco on it...WITH NO GLOVES. I've eaten pizza all over the world and have NEVER seen a pizza made with pre shredded Costco cheddar cheese. He then said "I already made your chicken kabob plate" and pointed to a plate that had about four inches of lettuce and a chicken kabob lying on top..sitting there getting cold. I asked how long before you bring me both, he said "about 10 mins". lol The best thing that happened about my experience is that I got a refund. But you can't refund my time. Honestly, I wasn't going to share my experience but when I seen that I wasn't the first that had this level of unprofessionalism, I changed my mind. I applaud anyone stepping up and trying to be successful in whatever endeavor they choose but when you are so ill equipped that it clearly is a hindrance to your progress, and you choose to ignore it instead of trying to make changes to make things better, that's a problem. There's a huge responsibility when cooking food and serving the public. You can make people very sick and or kill someone. I recommend this business be closed down. If you're reading this and are contemplating eating here, you've been warned. DO NOT EAT HERE!

I've never eaten in, but I've picked up food from here twice and have enjoyed their food at my sister's house at least one other time. The first thing I don't understand is how this place is in Torrance rather than Redondo Beach. I don't mean that I don't understand why they chose Torrance over Redondo Beach; I mean that I just don't understand the two cities' boundaries very well, because this feels like straight-up North Redondo to me. The second thing I don't understand is how this place hasn't expanded or multiplied or otherwise won the hearts and minds and stomachs of South Bayers near and far. But maybe it already has. The third thing I don't understand is why I don't come here more often. It's not that far from my sister's house, and I was dog-sitting there earlier this year. . . . I'm fresh out of things I don't understand. What I do understand is that the owners of this place (an Armenian brother and sister?) are amazing. The food is so good and fresh and flavorful. The menu is kind of all over the place, which in most cases is a red flag, but in the case of more than one restaurant owned and operated by Armenians (I'm including my cousin's restaurant before he sold it and retired), the more different items on the menu, the better. Or at least it's not a red flag. I promise. The combo deal is legit, but even without that deal, the prices are good, especially when you consider the food quality. Writing his review now makes me miss King Mediterrano even though I don't normally miss it or think about it. Those days are over. Next time I have calories to collect in the South Bay, I'm headed straight for Redondo Beach Boulevard.

She's always so sweet, welcoming, and attentive, and she goes above and beyond to take care of me and my staff. The entire staff is A-1 and always makes us feel welcome and appreciated. There are so many great options on the menu, but my go-to's are the Spicy Lemon Garlic Chicken, Chicken Kabobs, and Steak Kebabs. Always delicious! After all these years, Chicken Maison is still one of my favorite spots. Great food, great people, and consistently great service. Definitely deserves 5 stars!

This spot is good for families and groups with plenty of seating and a good selection of combos (Chicken + Sides). Servings are fairly large and reasonably priced. You order at a kiosk and they will bring your food to you. Staff members here were helpful and friendly. Spicy Lemon Garlic Chicken (3/5): Flavorful but a little dry. Greek ColeSlaw (3/5): Mixed reviews -- I thought it was fine but someone else didn't want to touch it after one bite. It's your standard slaw with an oily herb dressing that reminded me of Kraft bottled Italian. Potato Salad (2/5): Disappointing and mostly unseasoned mashed potato.

Now that we have a new, amazing movie theater (have you tried $8 Tuesdays?), we have gone back to…read moreNomad a few times, and I can't believe I have not reviewed it yet. The Mediterranean menu is inventive and amazing top to bottom. Start by heading to nomadsouthbay.com and sign up for their email list to get a free hummus appetizer. It's $16 on the menu and comes with a still puffy from the oven flat bread (pita). It's worth the money, but definitely worth joining the email list. After the hummus, we split five dishes for the four of us. The roasted cauliflower is straight forward and delicious, served atop a lovely tahini and turmeric sauce. The kale salad was light and delightful. The lamb kabob plate was exactly what you want in Mediterranean food. The steak atop risotto, a favorite from Jackson's (the prior establishment here), was near perfect. But the star of the show was the Salmon Esquites--perfectly cooked salmon over fresh corn, lime, crema, and pinto beans. I am salivating writhing this! And I'm going back soon!

We were not in a big hurry but we didn't want to have a two hour lunch. When you first walk in, you can clearly see the bar area directly off to your right. It was completely empty. But, I wanted to sit at one of the tables there are they have TVs above the bar. Something to watch in the background during our meal. I notice that there were about four tables taken in their "outdoor" area. So, no busy. We were seated fairly quickly but then it took about 5 minutes before someone came over to offer us water or to order drinks. Seemed like there were only two people working the floor and they seemed a bit ruffled. Overall, for the limited number of patrons who were in the place, I thought we'd get more attention, or at least get it quicker. Once nice, thing, they have some specials daily. My wife ordered the tacos and they were good. I ordered the steak and fries. The steak was good but had a bit of sinew in it, making several pieces chewy. When I needed a refill, I had to flag down one of the two servers. When I wanted our bill, I had to flag down the server. Just seemed odd, for a place that only had 6 or 8 tables occupied (at this point) that we would have to flag them down for service. As said, overall, disappointed and wasn't the mood we wanted to be in before our matinee. Hope your experience is better than ours and...enjoy!!!
