Came here with a Yelper friend to pick up some food for her guests I didn't get anything to eat but from the choices on the menu looks so good even the salads as I looked at the foods the others were eating I could tell I would like it. The food smelled yummy as well. The place had a good amount of tables and they have free lemon water which was good. The staff seemed very friendly and helpful. I like to see a take out/sit in establishment with a good amount of employees behind the counter helping and taking orders for a small place you'd expect to see one or two workers doing everything making it a bit harder when it's busy I didn't get that from this place. Holy cluck! This place is amazing! I'll never eat El Pollo Loco again Seriously! In fact, as long as Chicken Maison's are around, I'll never eat any other rotisserie chicken again. There is one about a mile from my work in Costa Mesa but since they are always so packed at lunch time I could never get in there to try their food. Well, when I realized there was one not far from my house in Torrance my wife and I decided to have dinner here. Not once, but twice in a two week period. The inside of this location is tiny, with only about six or seven tables total in the dining room. Their menu is made up of three types of rotisserie chicken, kabobs, salads, side dishes, sandwiches, a couple of desserts and a few daily specials. This is what I have tried so far at CM; Spicy Lemon Garlic Chicken Maison Original Chicken Pita Bread Lemon Ginger Chicken Hummus Greek Potato Salad Grape Leaves Stuffed W/ Rice Greek Coleslaw Garlic Fries Side Salad Grilled Veggies Steak Kabob Mint Iced Tea Baklava Buckets of their delicious garlic sauce First off, their Spicy Lemon Garlic Chicken is the BEST rotisserie chicken I have ever sunk my teeth into. Every bite of this tender chicken is exploding with amazing flavors because of the sauce they pour on top of it. The original chicken is amazing as well, especially when blanketed with their famous garlic sauce, which is now one of my all time favorite condiments. The Lemon Ginger chicken was super flavorful too. All the sides we've tried were great too. Their baklava is by far one of the greatest baklava's I have ever had, and I have had a few in my time (it's my wife's favorite dessert). The chicken legs were burned and unable to be eaten, which sucked because that is the best part (IMO). For the sides, I got spicy hummus, spicy sweet coleslaw, brown rice and potato salad. All had its own touch to it and good. Even for the brown rice, there is a slight sweetness. I was in Torrance for work and decided to look on Yelp for something delicious to eat nearby. After seeing "spicy lemon garlic chicken" on their menu, I immediately knew that I had to have it. Friendly, welcoming service the second I stepped inside. During my first visit, I ordered the 1/4 spicy lemon garlic chicken (white meat) with a baked potato and Maison rice for my sides. During my second visit, I ordered the 1/4 spicy lemon garlic chicken (dark meat) which comes with 1 drumstick, 1 thigh and 1 wing. The chicken (dark and white meat) were large, moist and flavorful; it definitely lived up to my expectations and with the added garlic sauce, was the highlight of the entree. I used the garlic sauce to spread onto my baked potato, and to dip my pita bread and chicken in. I have tried Zankou Chicken several times prior to Chicken Maison and I honestly don't think I will ever go back to Zankou. Their chicken is sooo moist and flavorful and it comes with this delicious creamy addicting garlic sauce! When you put it all together with the pita bread, ahh perfection! I also love their Chinese Chicken Salad! At first, I felt a little skeptical ordering this from a Mediterranean place but it was delicious!! Their dressing goes perfectly well with it, and the chicken in that salad is that same moist and delicious chicken I mentioned earlier. None of that dry stuff like you see in most salads. This location was the first time I tried Chicken Maison. Now they've expanded to a few locations, but this spot still the OG for me! Of course, love the roasted chicken, especially with the lemon basil. Spicy garlic is solid! For some people, it might be a little too oily so if you're not a fan of oily dressing over your chicken, the original roasted chicken is the way to go. I usually go for the half chicken, with double hummus for my sides, and that will really fill you up. My boyfriend who is a south bay native had been here many years ago but had for some reason never thought to take me. I found it on Yelp and he said alright lets go. Its a small place I think mostly they do to go or casual lunch but they are expanding so it should be bigger soon! WE got a whole chicken ( the spicy garlic lemon) with a side of potato salad, spicy hummus and fries. We got it to go and at a at home and all I can say is OMG!!! The chicken is amazing!! WE put our chicken over the french fries to get the juice all into the fries and that was amazing too! Over all an amazing meal, It came with plenty of pita bread and their garlic sauce that is pretty good. I've been to a few different Maison locations and all seem to have good service which to me means that management gets it and trains their employees properly. As for the food, I've not been disappointed by anything we've tried. My go to is the kale chicken salad - super healthy and a large serving that easily can be split or save for lunch the day if u leave the yummy dressing off. The chicken wrap sandwich is the other fav item as well as the classic gyros. The hummus is awesome but I didn't care for the spicy version as much. The quality of ingredients is good and the chicken always moist and delicious. Prices have gone up so we can't afford to go as often but I rather pay more to have the same quality and portions. I've been eating the two chicken meal for the past week, and it's been delicious at every sitting. I had no food in the fridge, and for thirty dollars and change, I got two whole chickens, a huge container of rice, an equally huge container of hummus, a ton of pita bread, and salad for many, many people. I called in the order, and they told me I could pick it up in 10-15 minutes. When I arrived, I was taken back by the amount of food I was given. Sadly, the salad didn't last through the next day, but got really soggy by morning. It didn't need the Caesar dressing either; it was perfectly savory as is. I even gave some chicken to my mom, and it lasted quite a while. The next time I'm sniffing around for food and am going to have a rough week, the Chicken Maison deal is totally the way to go! read more

However the ratings on Yelp helped along with reviews from fellow foodies that gave the chain great reviews. Granted this is my first visit, but well worth it. I wanted something with garlic in it and since my other dining alternative wasn't open for lunch, I opted for this place.It was busy as I came in during the lunch hour, but I didn't stay in line long. I got the spicy lemon garlic combo with spicy hummus and brown rice. Chicken was not dry and very flavorful with the lemon providing a tart contrast to the chili. Falling off the bone and the spices were definitely there. The hummus was awesome and I loved the brown rice-and I'm not a fan of brown rice! This place gets 2 thumbs up from me. I'll definitely be back again and a great alternative from El Pollo Loco and that "other" place which shall still remain nameless. Tips: 1) Parking at this location is not large, so it's best to either take it to go (and I believe the meals travel well in the containers) or get here early or on the off hours. 2) Pricing is very reasonable and affordable. The selection is large and healthy options abound here from the main courses to the sides and they are generous with their sides. I didn't try any desserts, but they looked good to me. Whoa, this place is scarily good. I came here at the recommendation of other yelpers because I was just visiting in the area. I ordered the spicy lemon garlic chicken, and I was blown away. The chicken was tender and well seasoned. They top the chicken off with their spicy lemon garlic sauce which was amazing. It was sweet, spicy, citrus-y, and savory all at the same time. In fact, the sauce was so good that I'm sure that God created chicken to complement this sauce. The sides were equally as good. I got the steamed veggies and the cole slaw. I guess you can't jazz up steamed veggies too much, but the cole slaw was another unique culinary experience. Instead of mayonnaise, they use olive oil and lemon. The lettuce was fresh and crisp and the sauce was delicious. I didn't have to feel guilty about eating mayonnaise because there wasn't any in it. It was truly delicious. In terms of service, you order at the counter and they give you a number and bring out the food to you. The food came out fairly quickly and I couldn't be happier with the cleanliness of the location. What I always order is always 5 stars. The Maison Special Salad & 1/2 chicken with hummus and their potato salad. It's just the right amount of spices. The first thing that hits you is the smell of the kabobs being grille. This is coming from the parking lot as you walk up to the front door. The smell just blankets the parking lot. You get a choice of two side to choose from I don't remember them all, but what caught my eye was the grape leaves. Hadn't have 'em for years. First bite into and I couldn't tell if I had forgotten how they're suppose to taste like, or, was it always a little sour and tangy? Didn't really much care for them after the second one. The second side I had was the potato salad a la Maison. Don't really know how the a la Maison added to the potato salad, but it could have used a little more salt and scale back on the zesty part. It was good at the first couple of bites, but towards the end, I was trying to finish the potatoes instead of cleaning them off the plate. Washed it all down with their mint ice tea and quite honestly, it looked and tasted like like brewed Lipton iced tea and instead of something like the house specialty. Wow! I thought the Costa Mesa location was good, but this location made it look bad! They don't hold back on the sides here and the chicken at this location is juicier and meatier. Service is also great here and they check on you to see how you like your food. Parking is easy but the thing about this Chicken Maison is that it gets really busy, even on a weekday. The time it took me to get my order was about 20 minutes on a Monday. A lot of people call in to place their orders and take it home. If it got more busy when I went today, I don't think there would've been anywhere to sit. I ordered my half chicken to go but ate half of it there and took the rest home for my lunch tomorrow. I got the original maison chicken this time, but I'm going to the the lemon garlic chicken next time. They seriously tried to pack as much of my sides in there. The steamed veggies were done well and had such a nice color to them, you could tell they're really fresh. I felt that their rice here was a bit dryer than the Costa Mesa rice, but it was still good!
