When I'm craving for chicken, I come here. I never have second thoughts, always enjoy their smoked chicken. The picked radish is another I enjoy but most specially addicted to their creamy onion. The owners are usually there when I go. Very friendly and always smiling. I feel at home. The place is clean and the Korean show is always on. Come try it!

Ordered take out on at night because I was craving Korean fried chicken. The shop was small and cute, and also the workers were very nice. I wanted to try something new and so I was very excited. I ordered the whole chicken and got flavors curry and white creamy onion. I enjoyed the curry, which was cooked and seasoned well and delicious. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the white creamy onion as much. The flavor was extremely strong, which is fine, but I didn't like how the chicken became soggy very quickly. I am willing to try it again, but order the wings and get other sauces. Always willing to receive suggestions!

I gave Chicken Pocha a try after hearing the praise from some fellow Yelpers and it did not disappoint! My husband and I shared curry chicken wings, garlic soy drumsticks, and red pepper sauce. The pieces were huge with a light coating of sauce. The curry were the best curry wings I've ever had. The garlic soy was also good, maybe needs a tad more sauce. Red pepper sauce didn't add anything for me but husband liked it. Radish also was cut unevenly which means they probably cut it in house. Service was polite and seemed like a family run restaurant. There was a kdrama playing in the background. I would come back!

So I haven't been here for almost 3 years now. It is a mom and pop shop now rather than a chain. It maintains its characteristic from before in terms of food. I'm glad they didn't start cutting corners. The chicken is the full amount rather than cutting more thinly. You get the full volume of the chicken breast and the drumstick and the thighs. For the price now, it is worth it. The sauce could be a bit thicker as I thought it was a bit too watery, but I wonder if that would make the sauce too overpowering. The chicken batter is all the same through the choices, it is the sauce that changes. The inside is definitely a mom and pop type ambiance with the stock just being exposed to the public. They do have a good bit of tables and if you want that drink and have fried chicken or tteokbokki or some instant ramen or fries, this place actually hits that ambiance - if you want more of a Korean drama scenery. I am just happy this place retained its flavor and amount through the years without being too expensive . I left happy as I got what I wanted. Oh! The mom and pop duo were nice. Can't forget about that.

Amazing fried chicken spot in the Germantown area. Ordered here and got their spicy wings and spring onion wings. I was so surprised about the spring onion wings, definitely one of my favorites I've had in a while! The onions work well with the fried chicken to provide a great contrast. The restaurant itself was clean and service was fast. 1000% would recommend !

Food was very tasty. Chicken was lightly fried with a mild spicy bite, and the noodles were fresh and delicious. The service was exceptionally hospitable, and the ambiance on point for this Korean chicken gem.

Formerly Choong Man then CM chicken. Although the name has changed, the service and food is still great! They do not deliver themselves but you can find them on multiple food delivery apps. My friends and I didn't realize that we ordered pick up on their site and let it sit about an hour before we went to pick it up. We ordered the soy garlic and the white onion wings. Both were still warm and crunchy even though they had been sitting for an hour!

I was so excited to try out a new Korean Fried chicken place but shortly realized they rebranded from Choongman Chicken. I believe it is now a family owned restaurant with other delicious Korean dishes as well. We decided to get the Regular Chicken and the Spicy one. My favorite was the spicy chicken. It was super flavorful but almost a bit too saucey. The curly fries were pretty good. I would give this a 3 stars because the chicken meat was very dry and chewy. I would've enjoyed it more if the meat was juicy.

We haven't got chicken here since the name change. So we ordered takeout and got the soy smoked chicken and Gochujang (Korean hot peppers) chicken. The chicken itself was good, love Korean chicken for their double fry and they were still pretty crunchy after bringing it home. I wish there was more smoked flavor from the soy smoked chicken. The gochujang flavor was pretty good but it could have been a bit spicier. They don't include free radish with the orders anymore. Overall, honestly still the best Korean fried chicken in the area.

Finally... I finally arrived to check this spot out! You know I'll never turn down the opportunity to try new Korean Fried Chicken! I had somewhere else to be, so I pulled up the menu online, hit the road and called ahead. I saw that they had smoky flavors, so I asked for a recommendation. The smoky red hot are recommended for people who like spicy, so I was like why not?? I put in that order and they were ready by the time I arrived. The place itself has some tables for seating and a bunch of juices and such that you can grab. Seemed pretty chill! I paid, grabbed my wings and then went down the street to meet some friends. I opened the wings, and they were nice and hot... and ooooh, that CRUNCH! I had never had a smoky flavor with KFC before, so it was quite something (in a good way). The sauce was delicious, and it wasn't obnoxiously overflowing on the wings. I definitely felt the heat after. I nibbled on the radishes too, and I enjoyed everything so much that I am thrilled to return! The staff were really kind and I'm itching to try the soy garlic wings and their other menu items. They have dumplings too!

Ask the Community - Chicken Pocha

Anyone know if they use cinnamon in any of their flavors?

I just tried calling to ask if they sell gift cards or gift certificates. I don't tgink he understood what I was saying. Does anyone know if they do?

Unfortunately, they don't because they're not a huge franchise. I would go to their website and offer that as a suggestion or feedback.

Can chicken be ordered without batter, for a lower carb option?

Hi Diana! I'm sorry for the late response, but for anyone looking for non-battered choices can contact us at (240) 477-7571. We do not have them listed, but we do have some low-carb chicken wing options such as buffalo wings. Please give us a call!

How many tenders or wings come in 1 order?

Whenever I have gotten an order of wings, I'll always count about 10-11.

Are there any flavor that is not spicy? I ordered soy garlic thinking it wasn't spicy. Hence, anything kids friendly?

Basically, CM chicken has a minimum spicy for all chickens (even original), so we have recently added a mild menu (wing or tender) with any flavors. Please try the mild option if you seek non-spicy chickens.

The food was excellent, but Andrew's service is what made the evening truly memorable. We'll definitely be asking for him again. **Onassis** Dining here is always fun, but Onassis brought the experience to another level. He had an easygoing, welcoming presence that made our table feel comfortable right away. His recommendations were spot on, and he made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish without ever feeling overbearing. You could tell he takes pride in what he does--he was attentive, detail-oriented, and always one step ahead. The entire meal felt seamless because of him. Outstanding service that we'll be talking about long after the meal. **Luis** Luis delivered the kind of service that turns a great meal into something special. He was incredibly attentive and intuitive, making sure we had everything we needed before we even had to ask. His calm, friendly demeanor made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The food was fantastic, but Luis is the reason we'll be coming back--and specifically requesting his section.

We explained that this was our first time here and we said we would have the lunch hotpot/bbq. That was basically the last time we saw our server. He didn't tell us about the appetizer bar, which I fortunately knew about from the web site. We ordered on the iPad and the food came remarkably quickly, delivered by kitchen personnel. At another KPot, the dishes for hot pot and bbq are different colors, and here they don't do that - so we had to remember which mushrooms, meats and vegis we ordered for hot pot and which for bbq. The appetizer bar in the back has a variety of apps (kimchi, pickled veggies, noodles), some fruit and a variety of sauces. As I said, the food came quickly and was quite good. We enjoyed everything except for the spicy fish (for the bbq). Neither one of us liked the spicy flavor - it wasn't too spicy, just didn't like it. The chicken and beef bulgogis were good and the veggies were good grilled and in the pot. The place is nice and there's a sizable bar. Although a number of workers appeared to be working conscientiously, we got terrible service. Our particular server never came to the table to check on us even though he was walking around. He spent much of the meal sitting at the bar. We had to ask twice to have our water glasses filled by other Staff. Our server never came by to change out the grill top, which I've never experienced before. I actually thought about asking for a different server. The food and ambience are good. Because of our service situation (which was really disappointing), I'm struggling with giving the restaurant 4 stars (I would have given 5 with good service). This type of meal depends on good, caring service that we've gotten at other hot pot/bbq places in the area. Because of this disappointment, I don't expect I'll be back here again.

Wooden privacy screens are set in between tables. (Perhaps because of Covid? Not sure.) This to me was really comfortable, didn't feel like I was stuck in a cattle car. I'm sure there's Korean BBQ here but we weren't at such a table. In fact it looked like grills had been removed from some tables and replaced with wooden covers. So nice to have that extra space because... Ordered bibimbap, bulgogi, steamed dumplings, etc. The extra side dishes I enjoy (kimchi, sprouts, etc.) were there as well. Ice tea, yadda yadda. Korean music was playing but it wasn't loud, on another screen by the kitchen I could see Family Guy. Again, not loud or intrusive. Didn't feel like they skimped on portions, there was plenty. Almost too much, wasn't sure I'd manage to finish the bulgogi but I did...mmm. Overall, this place is a nice break from other places. This week was only the second time. I totally forgot where it was or whether it was still around. So glad it is.
