Came here with my brother to get dinner on a Friday evening and the place was pretty packed. We got seated and decided to get an order of the 1/2 chicken Snow Onion Chicken wings and one full chicken Garlic Soy Tikkudak. The server was nice, although she seemed slightly harried. But she was friendly and tried to make sure we were taken care of. When the food arrived, we underestimated the size of the orders. The Snow Onion wings were maybe my favorite over the Tikkudak. It was crunchy fried wings, but hot and juicy on the inside. The marinade that they used on the snow onion was delish, slightly sweet, definitely reminded me of horseradish a bit. The Tikkudak was pretty good too, a bit more sweet than I would have anticipated for the Soy Garlic flavor. There is a very subtle hint of spice there, but it makes it all the more delicious to eat. For the amount of food, for the price you pay, this is better than Bonchon for sure. read more

Tried this for the first time back in November when I was home visiting and was not disappointed. My sister ordered 6 boxes for take out and I went to pick it up. We got some combination of original/plain, soy, spicy garlic, curry wings. The order was ready on time and they packed it all into a box for us. Radish pickles were in separate solo cups. Cannot eat without! The spicy garlic is indeed spicy. The more I ate it, the more I got used to the heat though. All very well sauced. We had lots of leftovers and I thought they were pretty good even after reheating. Not cheap, but I think it's comparable to the going rate of KFC. read more

Our server was so kind, accommodating, and patient. I could come back here for the service alone. For food, I had the soy tikkudak chicken. It was very crispy and flavorful, and all chicken orders come with a side of pickled radish as well. I'm hoping to try their "snow chicken" next time I come by (which is fried chicken topped with melted cheese, I'm pretty sure). I heard about this place from a close friend & was told that I would really enjoy eating here. & so, my partner & I went to have dinner here. We started with the fried calamari with a side of soy garlic sauce on the side. Surprisingly, it was served to us cold & was smothered in the soy garlic sauce. The sauce was also pretty spicy. We were not big fans of the temperature of the calamari, so we had to ask them to hear it up for us. As entree, we ordered the Snow Onion wings & a side of their spicy sauce. The fried batter was quite crispy & flakey; very enjoyable. We both are not big on raw onions. However, the mayo sauce does make it 100x easier to eat; even if it was eaten without the chicken. This place is nuts!!! Meaning I've been back here three times in two weeks. The wife found them through a place she follows on IG, so we tried them out. I can vouch for both ladies at the counter who are super nice and very attentive. Each time we've got the Soy wings, Snow wings, and soy gizzards. The wife who isn't a big raw onion fan wasn't going to try the snow chicken at first but when I told her how good it was she tried it and has loved it ever since. Everything is always good, and I come down from another county to get it (only 30mim away but still). Also don't forget to get the pickled radishes (they're free) and good!!! I cant believe I have not written a review for this place. We love CM chicken in our house. Our go to choices are the spicy garlic tenders (husband), snow onion wings (me) and curry wings (daughter). My son loves it all. Top it off with an order of curly fries. Always bangin'. My mom tried it but she can't eat spicy foods and it was too much flavor for her...that's ok, more for me!!!!! This place is fairly new in the area and actually came here when they just opened and returned recently to try their food again. The menu seemed to have changed since then but the signatures seemed to be there. No alcohol license here yet I believe but I don't drink much so it didn't really affect my experience eating here. Their chicken is pretty good and flavorful while being tender. I've tried the soy garlic, soy garlic with spring onion, and the snow onion. They are all pretty good but the soy garlic ones are kind of spicy so be aware. Not that spicy but spicy enough where you'd notice. The coleslaw and the fries are decent, they aren't that great but they're not bad either. In a nutshell, chicken is good but side dishes are OK. Price is pretty reasonable and portions are reasonable. By the way the water tasted like soda kind of- they may not have washed the cups that well. Otherwise, I'd recommend this place for some Korean friend chicken. read more

Randomly stumbled across this restaurant after going to the gym. I was craving Bon Chon chicken and I thought maybe this place had something similar. We ordered the lunch special with Spicy Garlic chicken wings. They were nice and crispy however the sauce was way too overpowering. Also had the Popcorn Shrimp and it was better than I expected. I would try this place again just because of the excellent service I received, however; maybe next time I'll ask for my sauce on the side as their sauce tends to taste too sweet. I phoned before we got there to see if we could eat in during this time of social distancing and we were assured it was not a problem. The snow onion chicken smothered in fresh spring onions with a mayo sauce was hot and full of flavor! I learned that they dip their onions in cold water before serving so you don't have to worry about offending anyone with "hot onion breath." The garlic soy wings have the perfect balance of garlic/soy and slightly sweet. The cool coleslaw really was a great balance to the kick of the garlic soy wings. Wow wow wow! This chicken is SO goodI literally had to stop in the middle of eating because I just had to RAVE about this place! The chicken has some heat but is not overly spicy. The breading is just right and not cakey at all. I never had the white sauce with onions combo but it really works! The onions are soaked in vinegar so you don't end up offending everyone with your breath for the rest of the day. It's unfortunately in a bad location and visibility is not great so you MUST come and visit as much as you can. I'm planning my next trip already! read more

This place is a little hidden in the shopping ma but just know it's near lotte! Yummy korean fried chicken spot! I tried the garlic soy which was good flavor. My bf ordered the spicy mandu, chicken gizzard and both came with a large portion and he's not sure which it was, but he said they're yummy and had a good kick! They packaged our orders well for a 25 minute drive home. I'd say it held up well for the drive! Still crunchy and tasty! The downside when ordering was it's tough to know how big the portions were! First and foremost, the two ladies who work the register are a breath of fresh air in a time where smiles are rare. They are always smiling, welcoming, and a pleasure to deal with. The owner is extremely friendly, their service is swift, and they have dealt very with with the vagaries of COVID and Montgomery County. Dropped off the food at the door and social distanced herself enough to make sure we got out meal and walked away fist pumping the air saying "Delicious Dinner!" When it came to Germantown, it was super busy and popular. The only KFC we have here is Bonchon! The restaurant is quite small and simple, like most of the shops in the area, but it isn't too hard to find a table. The only sad part is having to wait for the food. I hope nobody is too picky about the wait, because I know how long it takes to prep/fry the chicken to order. RECOMMEND: - Curry flavor - Snow Onion!! - Whole Chicken Size for friends/family (you can order 2, but you will have some delicious left-overs) - Eat with rice :) The chicken itself is very juicy and tender. I believe take out is a slightly limited menu with a focus on chicken. We got one of each type of the three chickens in half hours, it was more than enough food for three people to eat and have some left overs. (The wings cold for leftovers were also still delicious). I especially enjoyed the flavors of the Tikkudak Chicken, I would definitely recommend everyone should try it at least once. Came here for lunch on a Friday. Ive heard of Choong Man Chicken, and seen it at various locations, but had not been able to visit any of them. I've always been a fan of this chain ever since fairfax and now it's only 10 mins from my house. I love their lunch specials which is like 5 wings, fries and a soda for only $8. I tend to switch from soy garlic to original from time to time to balance the flavors. Whenever I do come with friends like I'd say around 4 people we always get curly fries (10/10 recommend) and whatever flavor whole chicken. I would be careful with the hot pepper grizzard, It is really hot. I ate a couple pieces and then my friends ordered other wings that weren't even hot and I coundlt even taste it because my mouth is blazing. The chicken took awhile to come out butt so worth the wait. Some important note -their spicy level is definitely spicy! If you're not some who can eat extremely spicy food, don't order the hot pepper chicken :) i loved it but some couldn't finish theirs! - they do not have other korean food, mostly chicken.
