Chicken Salad Chick is consistently always no matter which location you choose. The staff here are friendly and do a great job. It was a beautiful day, so we dined outside. I love the Fancy Nancy Chicken Salad. The apples, pecans and grapes give it sweetness and texture. The grape salad is a southern favorite and is so good! I ordered the Fancy Nancy on a croissant with grape salad. It's served with a pickle all for $9.19 plus added chips for $2. If you haven't tried Chicken Salad Chick, you need to! This location is convenient to many shops and businesses. It's a great place to dine alone or meet friends and family!

This was the worst chicken salad chick I have ever been to.... This is my favorite place to eat and this one was terrible. Customer service HORRIBLE I would have fired the girl taking our order. P...Bread, you've got some competition! Okay, maybe not in terms of options, but quality of national chain vs. local chain, CSC is the REAL! As we entered, I quickly noticed the cool décor with color, creativity, and an attentive staff ready to take your order. By the way, I love their story of success and it further justifies my support. More than 8 options of chicken salad, a few salads, and a couple of soups which change often...not to mention the combos of one or the other...you know it's good when they're a storefront down from P. Bread! Get it now: The Chick, w/ Jalapeno Holly on wheat w/ a side of broccoli soup. Jalapenos galore, but comfortably so... flavorful spice in a velvety smooth texture of chicken salad. Get it toasted...they do so well. By the way, throw in a pickle spear and a few cracker packets for free...yes you read it right! With an app, point options, and updates on soups of the day I feel like the Terminator...I'll be back!

I've been watching these places pop up throughout Bham and wanted to check it out. Today I got my chance. If you enjoy chicken salad, look no further. Multiple options are characterized as traditional, savory, fruity, nutty, and spicy. A fan of spice, I decided to try the Kickin Kay Lynne and Buffalo Barclay...Both are fabulous and not too spicy. I ordered The Chick with a scoop (as opposed to a side) which gave me two scoops, crackers, and a cute little buttercream frosted cookie. After seeing some of the sandwiches, I might go that route next time, because they looked delicious. I was pleased with the quality of the chicken (no weird chewy pieces, just a nice smooth texture). They also offer a nice selection of pimento cheese, signature sandwiches, and salads. If you'd rather couple your scoop or sandwich with a side, the broccoli salad looked fantastic. The portions are generous. I only ate half of my meal, so I essentially have another scoop to enjoy later. It is a bustling spot around lunch, but they are efficient, so the wait wasn't long. They also have a great selection of tables outside (shared with two neighboring restaurants), so it's a nice place to eat outdoors.

Decent sized place and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly. They have several different chicken salad varieties and I have tried most. The Dixie chick is great but you won't enjoy it if you don't like onion. If you do, you're golden. The lemon basil is good but I think it belongs on a croissant too tone it down on the flavor. A little too much by itself. The old south with pickles an egg is delicious as well. I've had the buffalo kind and I really couldn't taste the buffalo kick much. Needs improvement. The BBQ is just not appetizing at all. Too much inconsistency with their creativity . Everyone raves about their grape salad but I really like the broccoli salad. With that said, I got a to go order and when I got back to the office the broccoli salad had a minute about of dressing almost like it was an after thought. It didn't coat the broccoli at all. They need to work on consistency. My sandwich was good though. Their menu is not extensive and they have good choices but for a place that specializes in chicken salad they need to go back to the drawing board on a few. Maybe I will try some different things when I go back and see if my opinion changes along with the rating.

One of these opened close to my home recently, but I was by this location so I decided to give it a shot. The interior was nice. Light and airy and very clean. I was able to walk right up to the counter. I think the girl who took my order was new because another employee was helping her, but she did a great job. Since I've never been there, I decided to get the plate that allows you to choose three 'flavors.' I decided to go with the Classic Carol, the Buffalo Barclay and the Kickin Kay Lynne. The scoops were a good size and it was brought out to me almost immediately. The salads were... underwhelming really. They were okay for chicken salad, but all three tasted almost the same. Admittedly, two of the salads I got had buffalo sauce, but I could barely even taste that. I gave it three stars because the service was good, the salad was good (if not varied in taste) and it was a pretty good value. I'll probably go back and try more flavors to see if I can find something that really stands out. If you're a chicken salad lover, it's definitely worth giving the place a shot.

I LOVE CHICKEN SALAD CHICK. Not only is there food delicious but their service is always impeccable. I work in Mt. Laurel so I visit this location every time I want to be a little "bad" with my lunch choices. My go-to is the meal they have that includes a drink, two scoops and a side that can be subbed for another scoop with the addition of an upcharge. I always get a scoop of pimento cheese, sassy scotty and their original chick. My love for pimento cheese is newfound and completely satisfied by chicken salad chick. Their version is extra sharp with a hefty helping of pimento. I like to mix the pimento cheese with my scoop of original chick for a mouthwatering combination. A friend is visiting from New York and I chose chicken salad chick as a nice lunch spot to meet with our babies. She has a 7wk and mine is 8mo. While there are plenty of high chairs (guess around 12) they DO NOT HAVE A DIAPER CHANGING TABLE Or station or whatever. Nothing. We had a situation that needed to be addressed quickly. This location has been open for over a year and it really surprises me they do not have one. I will not be back for this reason. I give it 3 stars over all. The drink machine was out of order and we were offered water bottles from publix which I thought was really nice. The staff was friendly enough but a bit disorganized. My chicken salad on croissant was tasty. I had the summer dill special. And I think it is good value that is comes with a pickle, side, and a cookie. The fruit salad side had a cut up strawberry, 3 blue berries and the rest was green and red grapes. It was fresh which was nice. The broccoli side salad was good. It comes with bacon on top which my friend did not know and she can't eat bacon so that was unfortunate for her but not for me ;) I am super sad they don't have a baby changing table. I realize a lot of people do not care about this and it might seem little but this is a big part of our life right now. Next time we will go to revolve nearby which is super good too and they have a place to change baby diapers. I mean it's called chicken salad chick which just sounds like it's a ladies place and ladies often have babies. Babies wear diapers. Diapers need changing. I have to do an update to respond to all the "too much salt" reviews I am reading. I am one of the most salt sensitive people in the world, I think. I cannot stand most chips because of the salt, cannot stand many restaurants because of the salt. I do not eat mayo because I find it so disgusting. I have never liked chicken salad or egg salad, etc. Chicken Salad Chick chicken salad is not at all salty, the mayo amount is so low that it does not bother me and the chicken is so fresh that is does not have a "chicken" taste. Now, if you get chicken salad here that has bacon, cheese, dressing or pickles in it, then you can expect some salt, naturally. Get the Classic Carol and you will not find it overly salted. Briefly, this is good chicken salad. It is mainly white meat chicken. And, yes, the base is the same for all the chicken salads with ingredients added to all but the Classic Carol. The others will have the taste of the ingredients you ask them to add by right of ordering whatever of the 15 varieties you order. So, do not be surprised if the salty ingredients make it salty. read more

Today was my first visit and last, the employees were friendly and polite. They were out of three of the chicken salads listed on the menu. I opted for a pound of the Jalapeno chicken salad. As others have stated, it's way to salty. It would have been better made with fresh jalapenos rather pickled from a jar. I also don't like fast food places that ask for my name for a take out. I'll be there five minutes tops, we don't need to be on a personal level. With chicken salad that costs more per pound than a steak, I deserve somewhat of a choice when it comes to the crackers. Wheat? That's it? Come on people, not everyone likes wheat crackers. read more

Okay, so this place opened today in The Village at Lee Branch. They sell about 15 different kinds of chicken salad. I ordered the Sassy Scotty, which has ranch, bacon and shredded cheese, The Mimi's mix and that has fuji apples and cashews, then the Luau Lydia and this has pineapple and macadamia nuts. I also ordered the grape salad as a side, it has red and white grapes with a cream cheese dressing and it is topped with brown sugar and crushed pecans. The dressing tastes like the base for a million dollar pie, it is pretty good but nothing to write home about. All of the chicken salads that I ordered tasted exactly the same just different variations. It is not seasoned well and by that I mean bland. I would maybe go back for the Sassy Scotty, but only if I did not feel like making it at home. You should definitely try it at least once, but if you don't, you're not missing out on anything. The crew that were in the yellow t-shirts greet you with friendly smiles, but those in maroon shirts were not friendly at all and do not even say hello. They all just stared like I wasn't supposed to be there or something. The restaurant is small, but cozy. It has the feel of a country diner, so thumbs up for the decor. It was extremely hot, but that could have been due to the volume of customers. read more

Finally made it to this place. Total disappointment. For whatever reason it takes a long time to order. Then another ten minutes for the food. My issue is that the chicken salad is whipped so you can't tell what's in there, except for mayonnaise. You'll definitely notice the mayo while the chicken is less then apparent. Pretty weak, especially for the money. read more

The chicken salad had a distinct chemical taste. I am not sure if was the taste of preservatives or what. It was way too salty. (I had the plain chicken salad). really was disappointed because I read some good reviews about this place. Everything tasted processed. The soup was fairly tasty. Also, the portions were small. Excellent chicken salad and, like, 35 different kinds to choose from!!! They give you samples to help you choose. I don't know what it is about their white bread but it is absolutely the best white bread I've ever had. The sides I've tried are the pasta salad (very good but I could do without the artichokes), broccoli salad (very good), and the salad Few people have ever heard of- grape salad (EXCELLENT!! Amazing!! I buy it by the pound!). The restaurant is very cute and trendy inside and looks more female oriented, but plenty of males eat there. A different cookie is made each day and they are all excellent except the lemon cookie, but then again, I don't like lemon cookies. I'd highly recommend this place. read more

Outstanding chicken salad and all the fixings. There were four of us there for lunch this past Saturday, January 17, 2015. The restaurant was crowded but we got excellent service. Between the four of us we tried six different salads. Not a bad one in the bunch. They were al delish and the cookie was a great finishing touch. Restaurant décor was really nice and very bright and cheery. This was our second time to visit this location. Only regret is that there is not a Chicken Salad Chick in or around Oxford/Anniston, Alabama. Y'all need to come over here. read more

I am from Chicago and have visited the South for the holidays. I was introduced to Chicken Salad Chick in Auburn and fell in love! I had never tasted chicken salad before in my whole life and they had me hooked. I then invited a friend to join me in SOHO (Homewood) for the experience. She, too, enjoyed every morsel of the yummy chicken salad. The very next day, I found myself in the Northport location with my mom and both daughters. An absolutely perfect spot for a girl's day out lunch! On my way back to Birmingham, I even stopped back by the Tuscaloosa location for some take-out. The service was amazing and the grape salad is addicting! However, drove all the way back to the SOHO location today with my husband and son and was extremely disappointed. When you are a restaurant that specializes in and practically only serves chicken salad, there is absolutely no excuse for being out of 8 options at 3:00 in the afternoon. I was told that more could not be made, that it is only made in the morning. So, you had 5 more hours of operation time and you were out of more than half of your options? Unacceptable and extremely disappointing. We had driven far to eat there today and left very irritated since we couldn't get any of our choices. I do look forward to coming back to AL soon and visiting you again. Hopefully, SOHO location, you will master the skills of customer service and will be able to make more when you run out, meet your customer's requests, and act like you care when people are disappointed. read more

The chicken was good, but the cabbage with soul and cornbread were the stars of the plate. Oh, man, that cabbage was mighty fine. We talked with the GM afterward and she said we have to try the Pork Chops with gravy and collards. When we make it back there one day we will do that. If you're in Hoover, give them a try.

I definitely would like to go back and give the pancakes a try, I saw them after I had placed my order and it was too late but overall good experience and would recommend.

There were quite a few veggie options that looked amazingly delicious! I do not recommend coming here hungry or hangry. Ok, sooo I love meat loaf so naturally that's what I got. I also got collards and cornbread dressing & yes they had cranberry sauce. Everything was good tasting. The meatloaf was a little sweet to my taste so I probably wouldn't order it again. The veggies were not over seasoned or overcooked. I will definitely comeback here bc there is still just so much I wanna try. The staff is nice and took care of the crowd. I even witnessed them give a person in need food, as they were about to dig in the restaurant's garbage can outside for scraps. Made me count my blessings.. all of them! There is street parking only. I didn't have any issues parking on a Sunday afternoon. The inside of this restaurant is not big but I was comfortable dining in.

Only about 3 people at a time can hold inside before it's starts getting crowded. It stay pretty busy. Options are 1 meat with two sides or 2 meats with three sides combination. A la cart is available as well. They have ice tea or lemonade drinks in a cup that they also serve you. Lemonade was good. There's a very small counter to pay after you order. Fry chicken is tasty with perfect crisp. Collard greens were seasoned well and perfect texture. Yams (my favorite) was perfect - flavorful, not too sweet and firm but not hard. Both of us thought the Black eyed peas looked really good but taste bland. I would have preferred it without the Okra. I didn't see that when I ordered. One in our group commented the meat loaf was good. The dressing was really good too - well seasoned and tasty. After paying there's a dining area for self seating. It serves the purpose to sit and eat but definitely could use sprucing up along with the restrooms. Please seriously consider! It would make the experience much more pleasant to enjoy their delicious food. I took off two stars for that reason and yes it's that unpleasant as the tables/chairs are also too clustered together. The chairs don't fit around the table properly. Overall good southern food at a reasonable price and recommended. Skip dining in if you don't have too. Just my two cents.

I may try the soul food options next time. I do appreciate the worker suggested I wait until fresh chicken was made. If you are visiting Birmingham, I definitely suggest going to Galleria. It's something for everyone.

It's mostly a breakfast place but they do have some lunch options as well. I decided to get the strawberry Tres Leche French toast, which was very delicious. It looked like it was a new item on their menu. My son always gets the same thing he got the Monterey club. Summer was our server and she was very good but you could tell that they needed more staff. He used to pay your bill at the cash register but now you just pay it directly to the server. Parking can be a little difficult, especially on the weekends. Our server was very attentive. I did visit the bathrooms and they were very clean. This is definitely a place. I have on rotation for breakfast.

Not "one of our burgers." Not "depends what you like." Nope. Immediate confidence. The kind of confidence that makes you trust a stranger with your financial future. So naturally I ordered exactly that. He even doubled down and told me it was the best sandwich he's ever had. Ever. That's a dangerous level of hype to put on a chicken sandwich. At that point I wasn't ordering lunch anymore. I was preparing for a spiritual experience. I got the sweet potato fries on the side and sat there waiting like a kid staring at the oven on Christmas morning. Then the sandwich arrived. And honestly? Visually, this thing deserved its own entrance music. Beautiful sandwich. Crispy golden chicken, stacked perfectly, looked like it had been assembled by a food stylist with relationship issues. I took the first bite and immediately realized what was wrong. Flavor had called in sick. The chicken itself was cooked perfectly. Great crunch. Juicy inside. Beautiful breading. But somehow nobody introduced it to salt, pepper, seasoning, spices, or joy. It tasted like the kitchen spent all their energy making it look incredible and forgot the whole "taste" portion of the assignment. My colleague ordered the exact same thing and had the exact same reaction, which honestly made me feel better because for a second I thought COVID had made a surprise comeback. The sandwich was one shake of Cajun seasoning away from greatness. The sweet potato fries were solid flavor-wise, but a little limp. Not tragic. Just lacking that crispness that makes you keep stealing fries after you're already full. This place feels like a really good concept that just needs somebody in the kitchen to become emotionally invested in seasoning. Three stars feels fair. Nothing was bad. Nothing offended me. It was just aggressively average after being introduced with Super Bowl-level hype. I'd come back, but next time I'm ordering an actual burger at the place called Baja Burger. Feels like that's probably the safer bet.

I've ordered takeout from countless places and have never seen that level of attention to detail. We tried the spring rolls, beef short ribs, pad Thai, and panang curry, and everything was delicious. The sauce that came with the spring rolls was amazing, and the sauce for the beef short ribs was just as good. So much flavor. The panang curry had a nice little kick, and the pad thai had the perfect amount of peanuts on top. My only minor complaint was the beef in the curry and pad Thai - it wasn't nearly as flavorful as the short ribs. That said, it definitely didn't stop me from enjoying either dish. I also want to add that I had the chance to speak with two staff members, and both were incredibly welcoming and personable. Great food and great service. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

The food was a bit different than I'm used to getting at Thai restaurants and I will explain that below. Let me start with the Papaya salad. It was excellent. Possibly the best I have had. It had fresh green beans in it which I thought was very unique. We ordered it medium spice and it was spot on. I had the Chicken Pad Thai. This is where I had questions. I liked the idea that they used a cut up grilled chicken breast very different. There also some other cubes in it and that was what I had to ask about. It was tofu and the firmest I've ever had. Not heavy on the tamarind which I appreciate. On the scale it was good. What my wife had was where they fell down. She had the red curry and it was just ok. It was quite watery which muted the flavor of it.

All of the ingredients complemented each other nicely, making for a very tasty and satisfying meal. David L. and I shared a regular order of fries. The fries were thin, crispy, and perfect for dipping. One of my favorite things at Super Chix is trying the different sauces with the fries. There are about eight unique sauces available at the self-service condiment station. While they would be amazing on the chicken tenders, they also work really well with the fries. For dessert, I ordered the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cold Fusion--yum! I've always experienced excellent service here. The staff is friendly and attentive, and orders are prepared in a timely manner. Overall, another great visit to Super Chix.
