BarBQ Chicken Salad with Loaded Potato Soup.
    Jimmy T.

Stopped in for lunch today. I tried something different and got the Pimento Cheese BLT Sandwich. Very good and was one of the best Pimento Cheese sandwich I've had in a long time. Also had the Loaded Potato Soup and Broccoli Salad. These were also very tasty! Love the soup! My wife got the BarBQ Chicken Salad with Loaded Potato Soup. She said it was one of her favorites. Service was fast and friendly. Everything was very tasty and you can definitely tell everything was made fresh. Restaurant was clean and organized. Definitely will come back to this location in the future when we are in St Augustine!

Perfect statement. Never knew so many ways to make chicken salad. I chose the scoop and soup option! Delicious we'll be back !

Great place for lunch. Lots of salad options. I chose the classic with soup as a side. It was delicious and hearty. We'll be back.

I started my breakfast/lunch trek to Metro Diner but ended up at Chicken Salad Chick. I ordered the Fancy Nancy (Fuji apples, seedless grapes, & pecans) on a croissant. *A little on the sweet side which goes well with the side pickle spear. Friendly, fast service. They also have a grab and go case. Will definitely return and try their other salad combinations.

    Guest Appreciation Day

It was customer appreciation day today. Came by to try out the chicken salad. They were giving out free samples of their chicken salad. One big scoop for everyone who came by. All day long! We came in on a good day. The restaurant is located in a big plaza with plenty of parking. We were greeted by a very friendly lady by the entrance. Inside the very southern style restaurant it is bright and clean and has a big seating area. Very family friendly. They offer several flavors of chicken salads. The menu is full of lots of healthy choices. Prices are very reasonable. They also do catering for parties and corporate events. Get yourself a rewards card online. You get points for your purchases that can be used for free food or chick merchandise. You will also get a free meal on your birthday if you sign up. Can't wait to go back, the chicken salad was delicious!

Barbie Q chicken salad and grape salad

I love it and I'm happy to eat lunch there every chance I get. They have like 10 different kinds of chicken salad and I love their grape salad! Service is usually quick and the food is always consistent and fresh...my favorite is the Cranberry Kelli chicken salad but I also love the Barbie Q...& I always get the grape salad as my side: it's green and red grapes tossed in some vanilla yogurt (maybe) with pecan pieces and brown sugar sprinkled on the top!! Mmmm mm

Decided to give this place a try and boy was I in for a treat! My mother in law and I loved it so much, we went back today to order takeout to have for dinner tonight! Plenty of food for their portions. The restaurant was clean, tables appropriately marked closed for social distancing, employees very friendly but most importantly the food was delicious!!! We ordered the dill-icious chicken salad (dill flavoring with cucumbers) and it was so yummy/flavorful and the shredded chicken was incredibly soft. The loaded potato soup is fantastic too! And those little buttercream cookies, yes please!!!

Make reservations then enjoy the experience. The decor and vibe was perfect for a sexy date night. The mixologist was on point with his expertise in making the drink selections. Now for the food.....the Latin mixed platter was amazing for two and was a great thing to share on a night out.

Our mixologist was named Talon; he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He started by asking us what we usually like to drink (spirits and flavor profiles). Once we gave him the information he needed, Talon proceeded to make us some amazing cocktails. I absolutely loved mine and could have drank them all night. I tried some of my friends' drinks and they were all excellent as well. We ordered several appetizers to share (guacamole, wings, empanadas, and mojo chicharrones) plus beignets for dessert. Everything was very tasty! Talon came back over to ask us what options we'd like for our second round or drinks, so we all went with something different than the first order. Every cocktail he served us was really good and based on our individual tastes and preferences. I wish I lived in the area because I would go to Odd Birds regularly. The night we were there, they had a secret disco going on in the main dining area which sounded like a fun idea. I loved everything from the drinks, food, and interior decor. The Charlotte 33 Speakeasy area has a pretty atmosphere as well.

I looked at several places, this location caught my eye. Hubby drove me over to SR-207 and I-95. I didn't realize that we could call and order ahead. This location was just recently renovated. The inside has lots of seating and there's a tv to watch while you eat your meal. Young lady working the cashier/ order taker was so friendly and helpful. Let's talk prices...Sam's prices are pretty good. Very reasonably priced meals and they have a large selection. See the menu photos below. Hubby ordered the #1- Southern Single Burger $8.99. Beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and mayo. I ordered Sam Combo #11- $16.99. 4 fish (2 Swai/2Flounder), fried pickles and sweet tea. I had already made fresh Cole slaw at home. We also ordered Fried Pickles $4.99 & Banana Pudding $4.99. We did take out. When we got home the food was still piping hot ! Yesss . The fish was fried Well but not seasoned. A little salt took care of that. ALL OF THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS Well Done! We have a new place for seafood in St. Augustine.

Just a little FYI, their sides are kind of spicy the red beans and rice, macaroni and cheese have a kick to them. If you don't like shrimp or seafood, or fried/Southern food, this place is not made for you. I always get the shrimp plate, squash casserole, and green beans, and sweet tea (with hush puppies). Yes, there's veggies on the plate, but they are swimming in butter and all the fiber is cooked out of them. The fried shrimp are very lightly battered--they are perfect. Service is fast and friendly. It's a family-run place and you can tell. The place is small, though it has grown, a bit, over the years. Regardless, there is very likely to be a line! You can always order to go, but it's not quite the same. There's a few picnic tables out back for to go orders as their food has to be eaten fresh for full effect! It's cash only, too. The decor leans heavily on coastal/Americana. They are very proud to be American, especially with the 250th birthday. I will say, though the American decorations are plenty, it does not feel political, simply celebratory. As for the kids, they have your expected fried kid items. There's not any coloring pages or anything. But the place is kid friendly in the fact that the food is served quickly and the servers are patient with kids. It's a tight space, so squirmy kids might have to get their energy out outside. Their newer bathrooms are more family (and wheelchair) friendly. As long as this place keeps up the consistency with their shrimp, I will keep coming back. My last visit, though, I did the unheard: I ordered chicken! (I still got some shrimp, too) The chicken was equally good and very hearty. The biscuits, though, were clearly canned. But if that's the only corner they cut, I don't really mind.

No reservations taken, check in and then wait outside on a long bench or stand in the shade by the next building. The wait can be long, but we lucked out with a table for two. It was a busy evening, and a few big big groups. Bring cash...no credit cards. They have a fried chicken special for $11.99, with 2 sides and 2 hush puppies. The fried shrimp is the most popular dish on the menu, with a choice of how many pieces. There is no booze, but the ice tea, sweet or unsweetened is tasty, and refilled often. I had the 9 piece shrimp dinner with macaroni and cheese and the cucumber salad with the delicious hush puppies. The red fish was delicious too. The Minorcan soup had the right amount of heat. No room for a piece of pie. The staff is so well trained. Restaurants have come and gone, but O'Steen's has the right formula. When we left, the lines were longer. Best to get they earlier than later. Don't forget they are closed on Sunday and Monday.
