The only bright spot was finding this place open on Christmas night. The food was disgusting. None of could eat it. The chicken wasn't even cooked through. Couldve given us all a serious stomach issue. None of it got eaten and they were closed by the time we got it to our rental so I couldn't even bring it back

We were tired after an eventful day and it was only 630 PM. all the restaurants seems packed in Lincoln and it was waiting everywhere. We saw this restaurant (on the 2nd floor) in the commercial campus - decided to try it Waiting time: I understand restaurants these days facing staff issues, but you can at least acknowledge us and tell us how much time it will take- we were there standing for 10 minutes and no one came after 15-20 minutes, we got our table but again same wait time - no one was coming to take our order or even inform us about the delay Seems it was only 2 servers but the thing was- not all the tables were occupied just 4-5 tables. Anyway we finally succeeded to placed the order Mala Chicken Chicken fried rice Chicken lo Mein food was just okay, as we were hungry, so we did not pay much attention to how the food was- except fried rice- the rice was not cooked and it was hard. we called the server and informed her but she was like- it's how we cook - if you want it, then okay otherwise there is not much we can do.- she was blunt in her reply from the beginning - we felt they are just doing just for the sake of it. customer service- very poor; food- just okay waiting period (sitting-placing order-asking for check)- horrible and guess what- in the bill- they added a 20% gratuity tip ( we were just 3) - I specifically asked- ' is this New Hampshire rule' - if not I am not paying this and I just paid the food bill. it's not like food was totally bad- but there are other things you consider- and they failed. ( i rarely give bad reviews but I was frustrated to the core after exiting the restaurant) My papa owns a restaurant in my home town and I have seen my papa - if the day is going bad, how he makes customers feel happy even if he is not at fault - so i learned this and applied it in my life.

We found this Chinese restaurant in Lincoln NH during our family trip to White Mountains during foliage season. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of a small shopping center, but it is very spacious. The staff was very friendly and patient. I ordered one beef Lo Mien, one fried rice and one beef with broccoli to go. By the way, the beef with broccoli did not come with rice, that was a bit disappointing. Cost me about $3 for a white rice, quiet pricy! The beef Lo Mien tasted good and my sons loved it. The pork fried rice was acceptable as I did find some "fat and only fat" pork inside the fried rice. The beef with broccoli was terrible. The beef was way too thick and chewy. The portion was very small - lots of broccoli with only a few slice of beef. The sauce on the beef with broccoli was just basically soy sauce. The food was reasonable priced (except for the $3 white rice), but the portion of each dish was small. Note that they close every Thursday.

Pu Pu, pork fried rice and steamed vegetable dumplings

We are staying in town for a family vacation, I've been coming to this area for 40 years and Chieng Garden was always a stop as a child, once I was married and now with my grown children. My SIL & I grabbed take away and shared a Pu Pu platter, pork fried rice and steamed veg dumplings. We both enjoyed everything. I do have to say with the steamed veg dumplings they were a bit to doughy and not as much filling as I personally feel there could be. The ginger sauce was DELISH! Very thing was hot, tasty and the teriyaki beef was tender and flavorful. I was a bit disappointed that I had to pay for each of my sauces, hot mustard, duck sauce and ginger. If I had chosen to dine in, those sauces would have been considered "free" and included. But for take away I had to pay $1,00 each. I have never been to ANY Chinese restaurant that doesn't include a ginger sauce with certain appetizers and that would include dumplings, which I did get and had to pay $1.00 for that sauce. Already prices were the going rate so to add in those extras that almost came to another appetizer price. Otherwise it was ready when the time was given and was tasty and will be back on our next yearly visit.

Egg Foo yung and beef and broccoli

The food is great. We have been frequenting Chiengs since its opening! Although the decor is a bit tired, we just take it in stride. They have wonderful Mai Tais and superb scorpion bowls! We enjoyed the food. We had egg foo yung that was delicious. The pork fried rice had so much pork it was like a second full dish! Beef and broccoli was good as well! This hidden gem is worth finding. They are open when everyone else is taking time off! The service is always great. Very attentive and friendly! Cannot wait to return!

Tangerine Beef, General Tso Chicken, Pan Fried Noodle.

One of the worst Chinese foods I've ever had. Pan fried noodle has 5 pieces of noodles. Tangerine beef was so chewy. Singapore noodle (white) was so dry. Small portion on everything.

Chow mien noodles not cooked food stale bowl of rice dirty food too salty not good restaurant

I wanna give 0 if there is an option, food stale, noodles not cooked, shrimp overcooked and tough, bowl of rice dirty ,rest of the food salty ,I pour a glass of water to remove the saltiness but still salty, not recommended place to dine in, a garbage place never coming back here, what a complete disappointment and waste of money, ended up going to Subway after our lunch here.

Visited on a quiet rainy day. Appetizers were as expected, same old standards, thought pan fried noodles would be fried lomein, nope, ate them anyway. Place could really use a deep cleaning especially the stairs going up onto restaurant.

Not the best we've had. Shrimp Lo Mein underwhelming and general Tao just ok. Overall I wouldn't go again. Sorry.

Saturday night is date night for us. Tonight, I was in the mood to try somewhere else and suggested we eat here. We are both so grateful we decided to drive to Lincoln. The drive across the Kancamagus makes it an enjoyable drive to get there and home.. Now onto dinner. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs, and even helped when we had questions, as they know their dishes well. My wife chose the Burrata Chicken dish , and was very happy with her choice. For me, I chose The Sweet Corn, Bacon Ravioli ..This meal was so flavorful and was beyond what I was expecting. As we took 1/2 our meals home and a load of their bread, this meal was one of the better meals we've had and yet, the price for this dinner was about the same as we'd spend most anywhere else.

The rustic New England charm is just undeniable and never fails!…read more The atmosphere at Common Man is incredibly cozy, welcoming, and perfect whether you're stopping in for a casual meal or a drink after spending time on the slopes It's the best feeling lounging around a nice fire, sipping a nice cold beer and enjoying some great food. The food is excellent - comfort food done right. A nice menu with great variety and a specials daily menu. Paired with excellent service, Common Man makes for a wonderful dining experience on all fronts. Looking forward to taking another trip there.

We are a middle aged couple, and sometimes when we have the kids with us we review from that perspective as well. Ok where do I start? Everything was good!! I got the tom kah soup and it was very good. The summer rolls with peanut sauce also very good! The place inside is a little run down but it's a snow / ski town so I am sure they deal with a lot of melting snow on shoes when people come in. I felt like we walked in through someone's garage to get in lol. However, my Togo order was right, the food and prices were great, and they were open late (for Lincoln lol) 9pm. Just know if your passing through it's pitch dark by 5 pm in the winter.

I will start with all of the positives. The restaurant was relatively clean. It was empty. We went…read moreat 1pm on a Monday in a ski town so not an unlikely scenario. There were great meal options. We got pot stickers appetizer, pad zee ew, and the pineapple fried rice with chicken. It came out quickly. It was hot and delicious the only thing I would comment is that there was a significant amount of egg in pad zee ew. As far as the restaurant itself it was quaint but uncomfortably cold. The thermostat showed 61 degrees. You could feel it. Also, some attention could be used in the women's restroom where when I turned the faucet to turn on the water the entire structure came up off the floor.

I think the Common Man may have some competition for the go-to dinner spot in Lincoln!…read more Great location, outdoor patio looks lovely and shaded--we had just been outside all day, so we wanted dinner in the AC. Tuesday's they have both Taco Tuesday specials and live music! The music was enjoyable but not overpoweringly loud, we were sitting in the same room maybe 30 feet away and had no trouble hearing each other talk. The taco Tuesday special was great--build your own taco plate! I was worried the ingredients might have been picked over or stale, but those typical buffet maladies were far from the 1764. All buffet options were fresh and well stocked. We arrive just before 6pm and were seated immediately, no wait. The place had a handful of open tables and bar seats available. The whole menu looked great, particularly the burgers and other handhelds (I was in a sandwich mood). Significant entree selection as well, check out the menu.
