Just tried Chikin Crip and I'm honestly so impressed The vibe here is everything, great music, super clean, and just an overall really good energy. My husband and I live right around the block, so we finally decided to come check it out after hearing so many good things from friends and coworkers. I also really appreciate how simple the menu is, it makes ordering so easy. And I have to shout out Blanca, she was AMAZING. So kind, helpful, and made the whole experience even better. We'll definitely be coming back!

A REPLACEMENT FOR KFC AND DAVE'S HOT CHICKEN? This location used to be KFC. Several months ago I was intrigued when I saw a sign that a new chicken place will be opening at this location. I've eaten at Chikin Drip three times. The first time I came here I ordered the Combo #3, which is two tenders. I'm not into spicy food except for two kinds of food - Thai and fried chicken. For the spicy level I like to ease my way, so I ordered one tender mild and one tender medium. My impression is the chicken isn't moist but isn't it dry either. The fries were a disappointment as despite the crinkly appearance they were soggy. The second time I came here I ordered Combo #2, which is one tender and one slider. For the spice level I ordered the tender medium and the slider hot. The hot slider had some kick as I was sweating a little. The third time I came here was Monday night after USA lost to Belgium in the Round of 16. I came from San Pedro Market Square in San Jose for the World Cup watch party. At the last minute I came to Chikin Drip. I ordered Combo #3, but this time I ordered both tenders extra hot. The cashier also recommended a ranch sauce with a new recipe. He decided to give the ranch sauce on the house. Ranch sauce can sometimes taste tarty, but the ranch sauce at Chikin Drip was smooth. One thing I noticed was the fries this time were crispy. The extra hot was flavorful but not too hot that it wasn't edible. After eating here three times what is my verdict? The meat isn't as moist as I like it. I like the spices on the tenders and sliders. The breading is soggy and not crispy. Overall Chikin Drip is ok.

Another chicken sandwich spot, near Dave's so had to try it and compare. Service was quite slow for drive through, despite there were no customers. Not sure how it will handle during lunch hour or busy time. 3.3/5 - Chicken sandwich medium combo 1 - Sadly this was disappointing. Bread was a bit too soft and doughy. The chicken itself was also dry and not breaded enough to be crispy compared to other joints like hotboys or Dave's. Fries were good though crispy and seasoned nicely. The sauce tastes like raising cane sauce in a good way peppery and tangy. 3.5/5 - Loaded Mac and cheese - surprised about fries being in the Mac and cheese. Just tastes like basic Mac and cheese with some tender sliced up and some fries in it. Nothing special wished they use diff cheeses and it tastes straight out of the box. Not a terrible place in general, just there are better spots around the corner and was slightly disappointed that this doesn't give any competition to even Dave's

Chicken sandwich contenders got that drip interior that nobody seems to use as most get their chicken on the fly! Chikin Drip took over the longtime former tenant, KFC, and spiced up the place with some flare in their flooring and lighting. They simplified the counter/register to optimize online order pick ups and kept their menu simple - chicken sandwich or tenders; just decide how many and if they go with fries. We've passed by this place many times and have frequented the strip mall plenty for the other eateries and shops around here, but it took a special deal to get us through the door. Parking was easy and we were almost thwarted to enter seeing a food truck outside with a different name (Fire Bunz). Given that we made an online order, we figured the pickup would be inside the building. As we stepped foot through the double doors, we were met with neon lights glowing against a flamboyantly painted floor and a nearly barren register/counter with a relatively small monitor against the empty wall listing their menu items. There were about two staff members seen working and they were friendly and quick to help. We decided on getting their double slider with fries combo in addition to a couple of tenders. Each chicken item can be smothered in your choice of heat: No spice, Mild, Medium, Hot, X-tra Hot, and Holy Chick. For kids and the spice sensitive, get no spice. I also tried the medium and it was pretty hot so I can only imagine the level of hurt for anything higher. The chicken sliders are decent in size and come with a soft bun, some coleslaw, and sauce. To mitigate the bread from getting soggy, we opted for the sides to be left off separately, The fries were good although nothing too special about them aside from being consistently crispy. The tenders were served on a slice of white bread and like the sliders, were hefty to consume. The double slider combo was definitely big enough for two to share unless you're starving. The price seemed a bit high but given the size and quantity of the sliders, I'd say in today's economy, it was only just a tad more expensive than what I'd consider fair. Overall, Chikin Drip is a solid choice for chicken sandwiches and tenders but with similar shops opening all around, it's going to be tough to stay relevant and competitive. The food truck is a nice option for businesses or late night snackers while the storefront could use some incentives to drive more foot traffic despite online orders seemingly doing well. Catering could be an option, however, this food is best served fresh and crispy. It's no wonder why their online sales are likely a success as for our online order, our items were packaged well and maintained their crisp through the ride home. Definitely worth a visit or an online delivery next time you're craving a good cluck!

Husband wanted to try this place. I wasn't to excited cuz I just didn't want to eat another sandwich, however, I actually really enjoyed it. The chicken is moist and flavorful. We ordered combo #2 - $14.99 for the kids. And combo #4 -$17.99 for husband and I. We also added a loaded Mac for $14.99. Each order comes with fries. We upgraded one of the fry order. It was plentiful for a family of 4. There was no wait time for us. You order in the counter and you pick up your order in the counter as well. The establishment is clean and I like the decor as well. They also have a drive-tru if you don't want to eat inside. It only got 4 stars because we had to send 1 of our fries back due to it not being upgraded to what we ordered. They fixed it right away. If we are in the area, we would not mind coming back here again. The kids liked it so that is a plus.

I love chicken sandwiches, and since I was craving one, my friends and I decided to go to Chikin Drip. We came about 9 pm on a Friday. Parking was easy, and the inside was spacious. The staff was nice, but the service was slow. It took them more than 30 minutes to get our orders ready; they were not too busy that evening. I ordered Combo #2 (one sandwich, one tender, and fries), medium spice. The food wasn't hot anymore when we got it, so it tasted okay. The meat was tender but a bit dry. I liked their secret sauce, though, as it adds flavor to the chicken. I will probably go back again to try their other menu items, but only if I am in the area.

Some may say, "why another halal chicken shop?" To that I say "WHY NOT?!" Visited the drive-thru on a Thursday night and they weren't too busy but the wait for our food seemed pretty long. It may have been because we were really hungry, but the wait was worth it and the staff was apologetic. I got the #2 with medium spice. It had a hot Cheetos type heat which was perfect for me. As you can tell from the photo, the first bite was a good one and made me realize how much I needed to write a review. They have a pretty solid menu and are a step above that other hot chicken spot in Union City.

My kids have been wanting to try this place so we made the drive over to check it out. Spacious dining area and employees are friendly. Menu was easy to navigate. We ordered the one slider one tender meal. Added a fountain drink and Mac and cheese. Fries were fresh and seasoned. Mac and cheese was creamy. Chicken was good but spice level was a lot hotter than what we ordered. So if we come back we may go one level lower. Chicken was tender and moist. Not as crispy as I hoped but it was good. Overall good meal and would visit again.

Chikin Drip opened 4 months ago where KFC once was. Interior renovated with new paint, murals, signs. Even a wall where patrons can autograph. Hip hop type music in background. Spacious inside with many tables. Drive thru and seating outside too. Lots of parking all around. Ordered at counter where I was serviced quickly & courteously. Food came within 10 minutes. Few patrons came and went during noon. Offerings (halal): chicken combos, loaded fries, salad bowl, loaded Mac, sides. Bites: Combo # 3, medium spicy (13.99) -crinkle cut fries & chicken tenders had a darkish tint, suggestive of overcooking, twice friedness. Outer texture had a hard crunch. -fries semi-dry innards, not flavorful. 2 Tenders moist but dry. 2 dipping sauces added some flava. Spiciness didn't register till hours later via gas & .... Coleslaw lack definition, bland. Overnight? Pickles crunchy, tart. Texas toast didn't disappoint. 3.75 stars: definitely an off day. Quality: off day. Q not up to par. Quantity: reasonable. Doubtful repeat.

"Dont judge the book by its cover" is what I was reminded of when I ate here. Hubby wanted to try it... so I yelped it. Lol I am really not a fun of chicken sandwich and most of the pictures I saw were not appetizing- the ones that looked dark and dry. We did still go to satisfy his craving. I ordered the non-spicy and he ordered the medium one. When our order came, I realized the dark color indicates how spicy it is and not how dry and burned the chicken were. Lol The chicken tenders were tender and juicy. And the french fries were delicious. Will go back but might just order the chicken itself and not the whole sandwich. Interior was spacious and decor was vibrant.

Delicious fries and juicy chicken!! We drove around for a late night dinner and decided to try this spot with drive through order. Honestly, we had low expectation but were pleasantly surprised by the quality. Price is definitely pricier than other fast food places, but the chicken is not dry and the fries are crispy + lightly seasoned with spice. Very good! We tried the hot level spice, which is quite a slow burn in a good way. But I think for the sake of my stomach, I'll try mild or medium spice next time lol.

    Clean menu shot.

Will be coming back to try the Xtra Hot and Holy Chick. Decided to start at HOT which already contains ghost pepper. I got the hot tender and I got my wife the medium sandwich. She said that the medium wasn't that spicy (she can handle spicy tho). And for me the hot was a decent heat level and very enjoyable with some honey. I personally wouldn't get the mad again though. Didn't care for the flavor or the sauce texture. Just generic tasting. Looking forward to coming back and trying the Xtra Hot.

Amazing food morning manager very nice guy very chill and easy to order and food came out very fast

The food was amazing, the birria tacos the server recommended were absolutely amazing. The birria was very flavorful and I loved the hint of cilantro in it. The burrito was also very good, but it was huge! The food was amazing, but the service was over the top! (I asked my server for his name which he gave, but I cannot remember. He had glasses and black hair.) My server greeted me almost immediately even though it was packed inside, he sat us down and guided us through the menu, giving us the most popular options to go for. He recommended the birria tacos and really knew what he was talking about! We were checked on multiple times by him and it honestly made me feel like I was at home, absolutely loved it! Despite having so many things to attend to, he made sure we were one of them. On a bit of a negative note, when I visited for the first time last week around 11, the service wasn't as good. There was a different server and he was very dismissive, almost rude. I'm glad I came by and gave it another chance. It was amazing!

We started with the One Piece Mixed Salad (tofu skin, vermicelli noodles, woodear mushrooms, carrots, celery, seaweed, and peanuts, all mixed in a savory, acidic, and spicy dressed ) and the Shredded Potato Salad, both of which made for nice appetizers. We also had the Cold Skin Noodles (Liangpi), a bowl of wide, chewy noodles mixed with a savory sauce and topped with tofu puffs, shredded cucumber , bean sprouts, and a creamy sesame sauce. Hailing from Xi'an, the Braised Pork Pita Burger was fatty pieces of pork braised in a savory sauce, served in a dry round of "pita," but even better was the Spicy Cumin Lamb Pita Burger, which contained a tantalizingly spicy, flavorful filling of tender spiced lamb. The Signature Beef Bone Noodle Soup came with noodles in a simple broth, topped with three bone-in beef ribs. The meat on the ribs was rather tough and sinewy, and the soup on the bland side, but the presentation of the dish was definitely impressive. Finally, the House Special Braised Dry Noodle was a bowl of noodles topped with a savory sauce with lots of different dried ingredients including tofu, s mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and red bell peppers. For each noodle dish, you could select from a variety of noodles, but my favorite by far was the 2cm "General Wide" noodles, which had an amazing chewy texture. Overall, this was a great restaurant for authentic Northern Chinese noodle dishes and other eats. Everything came out from the kitchen in just minutes after we ordered. There seems to have some menu change since the last time we came. We ordered 2 dry noodles and a cold spicy pig ears appetizer. The pig ears were piled up with no fillers - something hard to find these days. You can select the type of noodles so I picked the widest while my husband picked the middle one. I love the el dente texture of the noodles giving it a bit of chew. My braised pork belly dry noodles was not dry... very watery which was not to my liking. I want my dry noodles with as little gravy as possible. The flavor was light despite all the gravy, but the veggies and one egg made it up. The house special dry noodles had just the right amount of gravy for taste but not enough ingredients. I was wondering why the restaurant is called One Piece... I guess the entire bowl of noodles is one piece noodle as it was hard to eat as all the noodles are tangled. No complaints here just need to be careful with the splashes on your shirt. Overall the food was good, service was decent as we were offered actual menu instead of only using QR code to order. The place was not small with plenty of table. A bit noise as with all Chinese restaurants.

We drive past this place all the time and I somehow only registered it as a pizza shop, I didn't realize they had a whole Afghan menu. Overall, a worthy substitute, especially for the added convenience. Rating Breakdown: 1.5/2 Stars for Taste -- We ordered the potato and squash bolani. You can choose spicy or mild. Word of warning, even the mild has a slight kick and the peppers are distributed haphazardly throughout. I gave my kid a bite after taste-testing for spice and she started shrieking. My bite was non-spicy...hers was not. We ended up doing visual inspections inside each piece just in case to look for the telltale red flakes. My favorite was the squash because of the hint of sweetness, my sister still loves the classic potato. I wish the outside was crispier, but my order was takeout and I'm not sure how long it sat in the pizza box for. I also read in other reviews you can order extra crispy so I might try that next time. The green sauce the bolani came with is spicier and more watery than De Afghanan. We also ordered the chapli and beef tikka kabob. The chapli was our favorite --the patties were huge! The beef tikka kabob had a slightly offputting mushy texture in the middle, but the flavor and char were overall good. You can choose between brown and white rice and I opted for brown because the server told me it was more popular. The rice is perfectly seasoned, much more evenly spiced than what they serve at De Afghanan. My favorite order of the night though was the eggplant borani. SO good. I could eat a bucket of it. 1/1 Stars for Value -- It was $13 and $14 for normal and squash bolani, respectively. The kebab platters were a little shy of $20 and the boxes were generously packed. It was $10 for the eggplant appetizer, although next time I might splurge $3 more to get it as a platter with rice. 1/1 Stars for Customer Service - I called the order in instead of ordering online and they charged us the in-store price, which is nice. The website prices were on average $3-4 higher. Bonus star because I'll definitely be back for that eggplant. I'm also interested in trying their Afghan breakfast. I'm very sad that they no longer sell sabzi since that is one of my all time faves.

It was delivered with two ground beef skewers and rice as pictured. But also came with a salad, some flatbread, and a nice condiment. Not too spicy for me. Just delicious. For a drink I had Coke.
