Our waitress kept coming around making sure we had enough drinks, see if we needed anything, etc. I was a bit disappointed when she told me her schedule is based on the reviews from her customers. We have been waiting for over half an hour for a simple dinner. Service is terrible. One lady at a nearby table took our her Knitting she had been waiting so long. I don't know why I never did a review on this place because they used to have awesome service, good food at a good price. Not anymore...Going from a 5 star to a 1 star. The food here for the last few months is complete garbage. This used to be a great place with decent food. The services is OK at best. What happened? Burnt fajitas so bad you can't get the taste out of your mouth and just ordered a rib eye medium and I got some kind of concoction of paper thin well done more to rare and more fat and gristle than meat and the other side of this piece of something that belongs in a meat grinder for cheap hamburger; wasn't even seared on the other side! Probably the best Chili's I've been to. On our Friday night around 9pm, there was no wait time. Food was good & service was even better.

I've been trying to be more forgiving to businesses since Covid, but I think it's management error at this point. We waited an hour to be seated to only wait an additional hour for food to be served. The hostess had told us the kitchen was really backed up and stopped seating people inside because of it. As we watched the building empty, some because they had finished their meal and others due to frustration of waiting. There were maybe ten tables seated on the dining room side and two in the bar area. So how was it that we were being so neglected? Take out!!! Chili's seems to be accomodating the "Togo" part of the industry while the seat down and dine in customers pay the price. Servers were seen with nothing to do trying hard to look busy, but with noone to serve. My heart went out to the servers who rely on their tips, but had noone in the restaurant to serve during what would normally be an excellent tip day. I've been a manager in a busy restaurant before so I know how blame goes up the chain of command for this kind of operator error. This is the 2nd time since returning to dine in that we have had this experience. Get your act together Chili's and stop neglecting your seat down customers. Chico doesn't have many restaurants to choose from, but Chili's will definitely NOT be one we consider the next time. read more

So despite all the bad things people have had to say about Chili's in the last couple of years I decided to give it one more shot because I have been a fan of their beer battered chicken tenders one of the classics on the menu.. but at the end of the day I was wrong the chicken tenders were absolutely horrible I thought to myself how can you mess up "chicken tenders"?...well i guess chilis knows best ... at best the chicken tenders were elastic the corn of course is GMO and mashed potatoes at least are edible do yourself a favor and take Chili's off your list if you haven't already I regret going and giving it a second chance. read more

I have only been to Chili's twice in my life, and both times were absolutely horrendous. Hostesses were great. I was seated quickly and they were very friendly. As for the waitress, horrible service. After ordering drinks and food, a wait of 45 minutes was had with no interaction from anyone. When our food did arrive after an hour, it was cold and hard and completely inedible. This could have been fixed had anyone come to check on us at our table. The only time the waitress was attentive was when she was rushing us out of the restaurant with boxes and our bill. The first time we had this experience, I chalked it up as a fluke. After the second time of the exact same thing happening, I will never return to another Chili's location. Even the assistant manager we asked to speak to was inattentive and showed a complete lack of regard for customer service. read more

Went there for lunch. The service was good but the food was terrible. The app came out and it was cheese fries that were soo dry and hard. Then our meal came our. The ribs were nothing more than we make at home and the pasta so was dry with no flavor. Definitely don't recommend this place and will never go there again read more

We frequent Chili's pretty regularly due to their coupons for free chips and queso. Today it was so bad. We ordered fajitas and an hour later they weren't there. The waiter apologized and said another server took his fajitas for another customer! In the meantime two customers sat behind us who were obviously Chili's employees. They got the royal treatment. Their fajitas came out the same time outs did. Except ours were not cooked. The steak was mooing. We didn't eat it paid for our drinks and left. I used to hate this location because the manager was super creepy. I don't know if it is finally a new manager or what, but I can finally stand to go here without feeling like I need to run out the door because that creepy manager is staring at me again. Having recently given this place another try, I'm shocked that I like it so much. No sign of the creepy manager, and a significant improvement in the food over the last few years. They have a really big gluten-free menu (and even a GF beer!). Seriously, that GF menu is what gets the extra star. More places need to consider this as something important. read more

First let start by saying i have gone to Chili's on and off throughout the years and i have never had a problem until last night., in fact i have really enjoyed the experience. Last night, was a different story. i would like to also say that i was a hostess/waitress for 2 years so i have a lot of patience with restaurants.. but last night was careless, lack quality control and Chilis employees should take more pride in their work. Last night, my friend and i were hungry so we headed to a place that we usually can count on. First thing, that drew my attention was the original silverware i was given was visibly dirty ( it had green food bits on it). i politely asked for some more silver which was brought to me for about 20mins after i asked. The only reason i got my second pair of silverware was because they brought our appetizer over and i had to re-ask for it. Also i order a strawberry lemonade which was also not brought until our appetizer was came. While we are waiting, another server almost gave our food the table behind us. We spoke up before they set the down the food. The next thing that wasn't right was.. i ordered a 6oz steak that i asked for Med-Well ( so the meat should of been slightly pink. i cut it and my steak was BLUE, is was RARE.. and the extra 6 shrimp that i ordered ( and paid about ($5-6 extra), 4 of them were the same size ( the size of a half dollar).. the two others: one was the size of a nickel and the other was the tail part of the Shrimp. That just shows poor quality control. I stopped a server to ask if we could speak to our server, so i could straighten if i misspoke my order or if it wasn't really my fault. Instead of getting our server, she took my steak to have it cooked more. When i our server did come back we explained the shrimp thing and he brought us 2 new shrimp. Meanwhile, my friend had asked for texas toast and i asked for a side a butter. When i got my butter for my broccoli.. it looked like a side of clear oil. i tested it and it tasted like oil.. not butter. A manger was coming by to all the tables, so we explained all our concerns, meanwhile, my friend still hadn't gotten her toast. The manger offered us 6 new shrimp and did admit to noticing that the shrimp was at bit "shrimpy" . i declined the shrimp because the server we had took care of the problem. The manger took the shrimp off the bill. i asked the manger if the butter normally comes like liquid.. she yes and said the butter comes in blocks and they melt it down and they only sides of butter they have that are solid butter is garlic butter. When my friend finally got her texas toast, she lifted it and the plate it was on was DIRTY! She had dried blood protein from meat on her plate under toast. WE informed the server of the problem and once again the manger came over. She offered us free dessert, it was a cookie in a skillet with ice cream. I asked my friend how her food was.. she said her rice" had now flavor.. no salt or pepper" and the " chicken was rubbery" We didn't eat a lot of the dessert because the cookie was dry and crumbly. WE did pay and tip ( we tipped because the restaurant did make an effort to make it right and i wasn't sure who was really to blame for the whole experience. ) Needless to say, we will not be back for awhile. **** One thing did notice was the Restaurant is being remodeled... visually the restaurant look fine before.. maybe instead of remodeling they invest in better staff that actually care about the food they serve. read more

We are 'frequent flyers' here and usually we thoroughly enjoy our food and the experience. Not so much tonight. We were 1st ignored by the hostess when we walked in. She knew we were there, but chose not to even look at us until she seated someone else. I ordered the queso burger med-rare. The burger was not only under done, it was raw. Sent it back and I think they cooked the same burger as it came back WELL done! All the flavor was gone! Top all this off with a waitress that kept calling me 'dear'. Went to eat here with a friend for lunch. I am what you may call a chilis frequent flier. I come here often because they normally have great service, awesome on refills, and check in with guests frequently. I can easily say this is the worst chilis experience I have ever had. The food took 40 plus minutes to come to the table, I've never waited this long for food at chilis before. The restaurant was dead, so it's not like they were even busy. The only good thing about the visit was that the waitress tried to atone for the slow service by giving us some chips and salsa while we waited. I had to ask two separate waitresses for a refill who looked visibly annoyed. When the waitress dropped off our food she left without asking us if we needed anything. I was THIS close to walking up to the bar and asking for a refill and a side of ranch. after waiting another 20 minutes with no attention she came up and asked if we needed anything. I told her I had been waiting a while for a refill and she quickly grabbed it but seemed completely unapologetic when I told her I had been waiting for a while. By the time I got my refill and ranch my food was cold. This was the most disappointing restaurant experience I have had in a while. The restaurant was also dirty, with dirty bathrooms and no soap in the soap dispenser. Not sure what is going on with this location but I think they need to reevaluate whoever is managing this location and letting it get this bad. I go to chilis for their quick food and good service. Same consistently cold food and long wait times! Ugggg. How can Chili's in one town be so good and Chili's in Chico be so bad? The staff seems super nice however after multiple visits I continue to have the same bad experiences: cold food and long wait times. Today at lunch a girlfriend and I waited 45 minutes for a salad and a chicken sandwich. Really? And the place was definitely not full. This is the same experience my husband and children and I had about a month ago. I keep trying hoping that they will get their act together but Chili's in Chico is a no go for me :( read more

Our last visit was what boost my opinion to 4 stars. We sat in the bar area and had a waitress named Cammy or Camie. Can't recall. But she was really great. I typically think their food is just 3 stars but I ordered these yummy little burger sliders. They were exceptional. We also had chips & salsa, and every time they brought out more chips they seemed fresh and were hot. Dang good. I have also gotten their quesadilla explosion salad and flat bread pizzas. All very good. After having 1 bad experience at Applebees across the street, we are now loyal to Chili's. Keep up the good work. read more

Arrive in Chico to visit for a few hours and the people are very nice. In about after three hours of touring the city, we got pretty hungry. We chose Chili's Grill and Bar because we were familiar with the foods. The hostess that seated us was nice and the waitress was very helpful. I guess I didnt know that you can now pay at your table with your Debit Credit with a Kiosk machine. I thought that was really cool. Im not quite sure what my dish was called but I can say I got the Chicken Enchilada with Chicken Tostada. It had also black beans and rice. Very delicious. I left pretty happy. read more

I must start out saying it was Awesome! My server was Ryan and Miranda! They rock! Super attentive they both have great personalities. Our food was amazing and so yummy. We started with chips, guacamole and watermelon margaritas. Our dinner was chicken fajitas, ribs with fries and Margarita chicken over black beans with rice. We came in Sunday and had a few appetizers and the three meat fajitas! Our food came out super fast and our food was amazing!!! They were pretty busy! Our server was on top of everything but didn't catch her name! She was great though! The only thing that really changed the experience for us was there was a table across the room from us with about 5/6 staff members and they were sooo loud we could barely hear each other right next to each other. They were taking lots of shots and just being very obnoxious. I know a lot of companies don't let employees drink at their work (on clock or not) maybe that needs to be applied? Okay so the food here blows! I got the burger and it was so gross I couldn't even eat it. I've been here twice once with my two roommates and once with sorority family. I think its annoying how they are tex-mex and don't give free chips! Annoying get with it and be like chevys! Food is okay priced I think they have $20 gets you an appetizer, two entrees and dessert. Yum! Chili's is one of my favorite places to eat. I haven't had a bad experience since I started dining here at this location. The service has always been fantastic. They are attentive to refills and making sure that dining experience is going smoothly. The food doesn't take long to come out to the table and while you are waiting you can choose an delicious appetizer or get yourself a drink. It's not really an extremely pricey place and the portion sizes are pretty decent! The food is also delicious! Omnomnom. I always get the Chipotle Chicken Crispers, which are on the 2 for 20 menu. So if you are looking for a place to go out that is reasonable for you and a date or a friend, Chili's is one of my recommendations. Just remember, you come here to eat, not watch calories! read more

Review for BAR ONLY. I'm here most Sundays for all day happy hour - and football. So are a few other patrons I've started to recognize. The bartender has me figured out by now. I always have a Margarita or two, $4.50 each. The draft beer is ice cold, and chips and salsa are free! The food is good. Typical chain restaurant food, but I always like what I get. A "Chain" and we try to avoid ALL Chains! For the sake of convienance being close to the mall, we went to thee "other side" for dinner.. The Pomegranite Margarita was excellent! We had the 2 for 20.00 meals of ribs. The Onion ringlets were excellent but a tad on the salty side. The French fries to salty and not edible. The ribs were good enough with sugary sauce. The service was so so slow. One guarantee if you come here is lots of calories and a great margarita for 8.99! I doubt I will be running back here unless I am craving onion rings! read more

my family and I went to Chili's for dinner and the service was very slow. It took 2 hours to get our food and when it came, my wife's steak was raw, my "steamed broccoli" wasn't steamed. it wasn't even cooked. the skillet mashed potatoes were cold, and it was obvious that they had been sitting out for a while. I asked the manager for new broccoli and he brought me another plate but those were also undercooked, just slightly warm. another table was having the same issues and one guy had his food given away. they brought out this other tables food and the waitress said someone had taken his plate. it wasn't even that crowded, I'm not sure what happened tonight.
