For my final review of 2025 I am bumping this Chili's to 5 stars. I loved Chili's growing up and even got wasted at this location on my 21st birthday. For some reason I stopped going but 2025 my wife and I rediscovered how great it is. We always sit in the bar and service is perfect. It's consistently great and there's a reason this chain is thriving. Cheap prices yet great food. My go to items are anything on the guilt free menu. Low calorie yet tasty. If I want more calories I usually get the Santa Fe vegetarian burger or the quesadilla explosion salad. Another great thing is the $6 margarita of the month which is always creative. Join the club and get free chips and salsa every visit! Great prices, great food, and great cocktails. Perfect way to end 2025. Happy New Year!

CHILI'S @ VALLEY VIEW (LONG BEACH) Parking is available out front and is free for all customers! There is a plenty of parking, we came at around 1pm on a Saturday. If you haven't had Chili's yet, I highly recommend stopping by just for their iconic Nashville Hot Mozzarella Sticks, they're incredible. That's actually why we stopped at this Chili's in the first place, because my best friend had never tried them before. We were seated immediately, even though the restaurant was pretty packed. The vibe is very much a sports bar, people watching games, grabbing beers, it kind of reminded me of Applebee's or BJ's. It has that same energetic, fun atmosphere, and I honestly love it. We started with their chips and salsa, which are about $7.30 and totally worth it. They're bottomless, super crispy, and thin, which I love. The salsa does taste a bit like it came from a jar, so I kind of wish they had a house-made version, but it's still flavorful and really good. We also ordered the Nashville Hot Mozzarella Sticks, three pieces for about $11.45, and they were amazing. I'm obsessed with mozzarella sticks, and the ones from Chili's are seriously to die for. The cheese is so stretchy and melty, it's everything. Overall, our service was great. We loved our waiter, he was cracking jokes with us the whole time. We brought in some drinks, and he even joked about where his drink was, which made the experience even more fun. Paying was super easy since you can just use the kiosk on the table. The environment was lively, the service was amazing, and the food was delicious. I definitely recommend stopping by!

Came for the triple dipper, left with a happy stomach. We went on a Saturday night and waited 30 minutes to be seated. Parking was pretty full in the lot. Inside was packed with many tables and booths. Our server was amazing. Super funny and helped us out with suggestions. We got the triple dipper (Nashville mozzarella, honey chipotle wings, sliders) and a ribeye steak. Everything on the triple dipper was solid --if anything, a little too overwhelming on flavor. If I get it again I'll just choose normal mozzarella to get the marinara sauce. Steak could've been better. Needed stronger seasoning as it was quite bland, and the texture was strange. It was squishy -- like soaked in baking soda to tenderize it. Mashed potatoes were good. They were out of broccoli so I was given asparagus. Overall a great first time at chili's!

We came in on a Tuesday night, which happened to be the same day Chili's was running a free Veterans Day menu, so we were a little nervous about delays. But it was my cousin's birthday, and Chili's only lets you redeem the birthday dessert on certain days, so we decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, we were seated in under fifteen minutes, which felt promising. Our server, James, started off well. My cousin is a regular and had a free chips and salsa reward, which he redeemed right away. While he was taking our order, the host interrupted to let him know she was seating a party of nine right next to us. He repeated our order carefully and got the details right, like honey mustard with the crispers and chocolate milk for the kids meal. At that point, we felt like things were going smoothly. That confidence faded quickly. We ordered the Wicked cocktails, which arrived without the themed stir sticks and tasted extremely sweet with a very heavy pour. It felt like the strong alcohol was being used to balance the strange flavors. When our food arrived, it came with the wrong sauces and still no chocolate milk. James was busy turning over the large parties around us, so we sat for quite a while with completely empty water cups, which was unfortunate because the cocktails were harsh. The menu even warns customers to drink responsibly, but water refills did not seem to be a priority. When James finally came back, he brought the items we requested, but he still did not notice that all four water glasses were empty. Thankfully, the food itself was exactly what you expect from a Chili's: consistent and predictable, which honestly helped save the meal. The biggest disappointment was the birthday dessert. James listed the options, took my cousin's choice, and walked away. When it arrived, it came with no candle, no singing, and no acknowledgement at all. Two other tables in his section had birthdays and received the full celebratory treatment, so it felt especially strange that nothing was offered. We finished eating and waited quite a while for him to return so we could figure out how to handle the bill, the rewards, and the birthday dessert that had been rung up as a charge. When he finally came back, he told us that only one perk can be used per visit. That would have been helpful information before anything was ordered. By the end, it felt like our table simply was not important. Three of us have worked in the service industry, so we were patient and tried to be understanding. But being overlooked again and again, while a child waited most of his meal for a simple chocolate milk, really took away from the night. My cousin was excited to celebrate her birthday at a restaurant she enjoys and to try the viral cocktails, but the experience left a disappointing impression. It also left the same aftertaste as those Wicked drinks. Thank you, Chili's, but we will be trying somewhere else next time.

Service was quick and friendly. I came around 4:30 when it was starting to get busy, but my server still checked in on me and made sure everything was good. The food came out hot, but it didn't have much flavor--just okay overall. I ordered a mango half tea/half lemonade, but it tasted more like tea. Next time, I'll just go with the regular lemonade.

Our server was a bit slow. Food was warm not hot. It's a step above a fast food place. Nice hostess.

Ordered the Wicked drinks for the toppers ($6)! I personally liked Glinda's (Good Witch) drink more as it was more sweet and tasted like dragonfruit. Elphaba's (Witches Brew) tasted like apples and was a bit more sour, which reflects their personalities! Service was nice and friendly.

Service was awesome as our waiter came by our table often checking in on our orders and filling our drinks repeatedly. Our Old timer with cheese and chicken nachos were delicious and hot upon arrival. We'll be back with our friends for dinner so we can eat, talk, laugh, and watch all different kinds of sports and activities around the restaurant. Thanks Chili's .

Triple Dipper (Fried Mozzarella, Big Mouth Bites, Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crispers)

i feel like one of the best ways to end your week is with a triple dipper i tried out this location for chilis, and i liked how i was able to get seated right away despite coming in on a friday around 6. it was crowded and busy within the restaurant, but our waiter was very efficient in taking our orders and bringing them out while everything was still hot. he also was very attentive since my friend had finished about half of her lemonade but he already brought out a second refill for her! pretty good service overall! for the foods, i mainly wanted a triple dipper and that was what i got hehe. i picked the original fried mozzarella, the big mouth bites (sliders), and the honey chipotle chicken crispers. everything came out hot and fresh and was good! the fried mozzarella had a crazy cheese pull. it got a little busier towards the end of my meal, so we had to flag down the waiter in order to get to go boxes. i wish we were given lids for the sauces so we could take them home too, but it was no big deal. parking is kind of hard to find if you want to be right in front of the restaurant, but there are a lot of spots behind the restaurant to park!

I had such a good experience the first time that I decided to bring the entire family and give it a try - spoiler alert, it was just as good! We all ordered a variant of the 3 for me, my son ordered the steak again, it was just as good as he remembered. The rest of us all ordered the smash burger. So, you get unlimited drinks, soup or salad, our entree with fries (and in my sons case two items), and if you sign up for the perks you get free unlimited chips and salsa. We left with leftovers, extra chips and salsa to take home, and the price I paid even after tax and tip was impressively fair. The service was on point, the place was clean, and it was just a great ambiance across the board. 10/10 - This is a great location, and when we're here next I hope you see you there. :)

    Too salty for me unfortunately
    Caroline N.

I wanted to like chilis but I do not like chilis. Was motivated to go by the tripper dipper but the quality was just bad. The flavor sauces and queso dips are wayyy too salty, the chicken tenders frozen, and the chips taste stale even though they're so busy. The servers were nice but did their job and then left to do their own thing. We checked out through the table on the table.

Wait time on a weeknight was around 15 minutes. Vibes: chill and very family friendly. Casual pizza spot, but also great for date night. Food: The crust of their pizza is very airy and doesn't sit heavy in your stomach plus it just tastes great. I ate the Garlic Paradiso with sausage, which was rich in aromatic flavors from the rosemary and creamy. It does lean more on the salty side compared to their red sauce pizzas. The meatballs are so good and I highly recommend ordering some. They're flavorful, juicy, and the tomato sauce that they are in is delicious. The salads are good too, my favorite being the Caesar, although it is on the heavier side due to the dressing. Delicious food, great service, chill atmosphere, and good parking. Can't complain!

Upon arrival, we were informed that the prime rib was only available during Father's Day weekend. It would have been nice if that little detail had been mentioned in the post that inspired the trip. Since we were already there and starving, we decided to stay. Mistake #1. The medium rare top sirloin arrived looking like it had lost a fight with a blowtorch. It was so overcooked and rubbery that we couldn't finish it. We brought the leftovers home thinking at least our dog would enjoy it. She sniffed it and walked away. For anyone who has ever owned a dog, you understand how impressive that is. The meatloaf somehow managed to transport me back to my hospital room after my appendectomy. If you've ever wondered what institutional cafeteria food tastes like with a side of disappointment, order the meatloaf. The coleslaw appeared to be made from aging cabbage with visible brown and pink bruising throughout. To save myself a trip to urgent care, I passed on trying it. The mashed potatoes were the only thing that showed signs of life, but the gravy was so salty it could probably preserve a mummy and contained the dried skin that forms when gravy sits out too long. Even the lemon slices in our water glasses were slimy. The atmosphere felt less like a destination restaurant and more like the dining room of an assisted living facility. The average age of the patrons appeared to be somewhere around 78, which honestly started making sense once the food arrived. The hostess was very nice and our waitress was pleasant, but she seemed just as confused as we were about what was actually available on the menu. We left hungry, annoyed, and wondering how many other people had made the same pilgrimage after seeing that Instagram post. At this point, I have to question whether @laoc.eats actually eats at the places being promoted or just photographs them. This was our second disappointing restaurant recommendation from that account, and it may be the last time we use it as a dining guide. Forty minutes there. Forty minutes back. One edible side dish. I should have just stayed home and made a sandwich.

The evening started off strong, as we stopped by during Hoppy Hour (around 9ish). There wasn't a wait, and it wasn't too busy, so we were seated right away. The front staff was nice and polite. She gave us the option of either a tall round table or a shorter rectangular table. We of course, opted for the slightly shorter (height-wise) rectangular table. Once we were seated, we were given the menu, and the waitress told us that we would be right with us. She stopped by to ask about drinks, and we opted for water. She dropped off water and came back with perfect timing because by then we were ready to order. I also love the simplicity of the menu. There really aren't too many options where you feel overwhelmed, but there are still enough choices to pick from. Shout out to the pastrami quesadilla, I didn't realize it had been swapped for a new menu item until I asked about it this time around, but I'll be waiting for its comeback! We ordered a few items: the mac and cheese balls, the Wagyu bone marrow burger with truffle fries, and a double smash burger with ribbed finger potatoes. We had to get the mac and cheese balls since it was Hoppy Hour! I also didn't realize that on Wednesdays, the double smash burgers are half off. I'll definitely remember that for next time. After we ordered, the food came out quicker than I expected. It was a nice surprise. I think the first item came out about 10 minutes after our initial order. The mac and cheese balls came out hot, which was great. The breading made them super crispy and gave a nice crunch that balanced really well with the softer, chewier mac and cheese inside. I was glad the inside wasn't too runny since that would have made it like lava! I didn't see a cheese pull this time, but next time I'll try again to see if I can catch one. It was a great start to the meal. The burgers came out shortly after we finished the mac and cheese balls. I totally forgot that the truffle fries came with sauce. I should have asked for the sauce on the side, but it wasn't a problem that it was added on top of the fries. It just made them get soggy a bit faster, but that's no problem; it just means I've got to work faster! The burger was good and came out super juicy. I asked for it medium, and it looked about medium, so no complaints here! I never realized before, but the bread was so fluffy... it was a super pillowy bun with a nice bounce to it. It definitely helped balance out the meatiness of the patty. The hint of tomato gave it a nice, refreshing bite and really helped cut through the richness of the meat. The onions also added a nice sweetness to the burger, which was appreciated. I also snuck a bite of the ribbed potatoes, and they were good as well. They were a bit crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside, with just a touch of saltiness. I also stole a pickle from the double smash and realized I probably should have asked for pickles on my burger, but I'll remember that for my next visit!

The only other time we saw her was after we flagged down another staff member because our fries were lukewarm. Unfortunately, the replacement fries were also lukewarm, so I'm thinking fries just aren't their specialty. I ordered the Al Pastor fish tacos. They were good, but nothing really stood out or made me want to order them again. I'm willing to give Eureka! another try because everyone has an off day. The reason it's four stars instead of five comes down to the atmosphere and staffing. The restaurant sits right in the hotel lobby with no walls, so you hear everything--hotel guests coming and going, music playing in the lobby, the TV from the bar, and general foot traffic. So once we grabbed our seats, the waiter went to the front desk and brought our menus. They were very nice and one was a Dallas cowboys fan, so she started playing like she couldn't serve me because of my Eagle hat. Anyway, we enjoyed the service and our waitress. As for the food, I ordered the fish tacos and they were ok. I'm not sure I would get them again. Also the kids meals looked very plain and boring (penne pasta with nothing on it and a cheese pizza). We did say we weren't going to really eat much because we were headed to Knott's Boysenberry Festival so we were saving room for that. Overall, it was a decent meal and nothing to write home about. There wasn't anything wrong because my kids ate their food and I thought my tacos were just ok. If you are staying in the hotel, I would suggest you see what's in the mall outside first and the hotel front desk will give you some great recommendations on food write out the door.
