I like Chili's. Tonight was a simple adventure to the local home store for a couple project supplies. Started feeling hungry, and Chili's was close by. Chips and Salsa is my favorite here. Nothing fancy, just good tasting and not too hot. Doesn't seem like it's changed over the years. Next up was the 'Pick 3' appetizer - a blend of chicken selections and dips. Tasty, and plenty for the 2 of us to share. To finish things up, we chose the chocolate cake with ice cream. A delightful desert for all chocolate lovers! You know exactly what you will get at Chilis - standard chain sit down restaurant food that includes burgers, chicken, nachos and similar Americanized food on the menu. I had the honey Chipotle chicken crispers and they were great! I really like the sauce- it has a subtle spicy flavor and mixes well with the sweet sauce. Chicken was cooked pretty well - only part of one of the tenders was overcooked and chewy. The rest were tender and fell apart. They've changed the sides a little bit and it now comes with mac & cheese plus fries. I liked that addition and thought the mac & cheese was creamy. Our server was good, the food came out in a timely manner and the manager also came by to make sure everything was good. My only complaint is that Chilis no longer brings out chips and salsa with your meal anymore. I don't know when that change happened, but I suspect the rising costs of produce and food led to a corporate decision to axe those. read more

Chili's never disappoints when it comes to their food. Yet, the service well that's something else. We always sit in the bar area instead of the main dining room. Typically the bartender is the server. This time the server was all over the place. I couldn't get their attention to get our beverages refilled. Someone came by and asked if we needed anything and we asked for refills. They said they would find our server, but no one ever materialized. Another person who appeared to be a server was standing at a podium located behind the bar constantly on their phone. Another thing I'm finding is that the menu that are table side needed to be cleaned. Mine was sticky and my dining partner picked one that had bbq sauce or ketchup on several of the pages. Greeted at the door, if you can even call it that. She had absolutely no patience, no manners and absolutely no smile. Seemed more suited for a rowdy bar than a restaurant. My and my daughters quesadilla's were literally hard and crusty-you could literally break the cheese in half. My son's chicken was good! That is absolutely the only good thing about this entire experience. 6.50 for 2 sweet tea's is ridiculous. Bathroom floors were incredibly sticky. A Salad, chicken tenders, and a kid's quesadilla 50.00 with tip, never going back there again. I visited the Franklin restaurant on Sunday with my wife and grand kids. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table and after we were seated and had ordered, we waited one hour more and our order never came. Our waitress, never stopped at our table during that time so I finally waved her down and asked about our food and asked to speak to the manager. She said, "they are traying it up right now." We waited another 15 minutes, food never came and neither did the manager. We got up and left. We went to another restaurant and were served immediately. Lousy, don't care people here. My coffe arrived after the meal, the appetizer was incomplete when it arrived, and we had a manager tell us he didnt know that the chips came with quacamole. I have to give huge props to our server Jaclyn. Our party of 12 was well taken care of. We were very impressed. Always came to our table with a smile and we could tell she enjoyed her job. At the end of our meal she asked if we would like to split the bill or if it will be going to one person. "Split the bill please". Jaclyn confirmed all the pairs of couples and came back with every meal correctly divided. Jaclyn made sure our drinks were filled, didn't rush us and gave our table a huge "thank you, it was my pleasure to serve you, enjoy the rest of your day." When you visit this location ask to sit at one of her tables. I was visiting from California and first time at this Chili's and if I ever return I will definitely ask to have her as our server. I have gone to a number of Chili's restaurants in the Central and Southern Indiana area. I have always been very happy with my dining experience there. Last night we went to the Chili's restaurant in Franklin Indiana. It was our worst Chili's experience ever. Among other things, we ordered the shrimp fajitas with corn tortillas for one of the members in our party that was gluten intolerant. I happen to know for a fact that if she eats something with gluten in it, even accidentally, she gets really sick. When our food arrived and she was served her shrimp fajitas, they were served with flour tortillas! I'm not trying to say that this rises to the level of attempted murder. But it certainly is pretty seriously on the insensitive side. As it turns out they were out of corn tortillas. So I guess they decided "Well, what the heck, let's just go ahead and serve them with the gluten tortillas."! I ordered this burger that I think was called the Sunshine Burger. And it had among other things, pepper jack cheese, bacon, and a fried egg on top of it all. I have never had a cheeseburger with a fried egg on it. But I can tell you right now I'm sorry I waited so long. It was excellent. I paid extra for the premium side dish of garlic roasted asparagus and cherry tomatoes. Now I love asparagus, and I love cherry tomatoes, and I love just about anything that's roasted. So I was pretty excited about getting that side dish. But, when I took the first bite of the asparagus it was so salty that I had to spit it back out. A couple of the other people try it, and they agreed. I had to wipe off each piece of asparagus completely to be able to stomach it, which unfortunately, took all of the seasoning off of it. Worst asparagus I ever ate because of that. Now I feel like that because of what I just said about this Chili's dining experience that I would be well within my rights to give them a one-star rating. However, because the waitress did an excellent job, the Chili's restaurant was nice as always, and many of the things that we got we really enjoyed, and they took the shrimp tortillas off our bill, that a one-star review would be unnecessarily harsh. Also every other experience I've had it every other Chili's has been very, very good. Taking this all into consideration, I am giving this Chili's experience a three-star review. read more

We eat here about 2-3 times a year. We keep forgetting that it takes forever to get your food. Also, they changed the triple dipper app, the burgers are not very good, the southwestern egg rolls have shrunk. We probably won't eat there anymore. They do have decent prices, tho... The service here is always great! I come about once a month (sign up for their email list and you'll get at least one free menu item a week!) with a friend and I haven't been let down yet. They recommend good drinks and always find something good for me to eat (I'm a vegetarian so there is a limited selection, try the veggie fajitas, they're not on the menu but they are to DIE for!). I've never had a bad experience at this place. Good customer service, friendly atmosphere, and the biggest thing is I don't think I have ever had a waiter or waitress be pushy and suggest a bunch of menu items to me that I didn't care about. That goes a long way. Overall, just another example of a Franklin chain defying common logic about what people perceive chains are like. Also Chili's host a waiter named Chris Rynerson who is a champion and his service dominates all things this side of the Mississippi. read more

My wife & I have ate here many times, and the food and service are consistently pretty good. They change their menu a little bit ever so often, which is not a bad thing. I've ate at other Chili's restaurants that weren't as good. I suggest their chili (who's a-thought it, eh?) & Memphis dry-rub ribs. Also, they have real good salads. read more
