The four of us came here on a Friday night at 5:45 pm and yes, imo it was crowded. I usually avoid these chain restaurants at peak times but it the granddaughter's birthday meal so what are you going to do? We used the call ahead waitlist feature and cut our wait time down to 10 minutes. I found the atmosphere loud and it was hard to carry on a conversation at the table sometimes. There was a Dinner For Two @ $49.95 deal which included four steak dinner options plus an appetizer. The better half and I went for it and started off with the Cactus Blossom appetizer. I chose the 6oz Sirloin & Ribs Combo option with a Baked Potato and the Seasoned Rice and she got the 6oz Sirloin & BBQ Chicken Combo option with a Baked Potato and a Salad. The granddaughter ordered the Boneless Buffalo Wings with Fries and her friend chose the Killer Ribs with Cheese Fries. Everyone loved their food. The portions are large so we brought home six go boxes and lunch or dinner tomorrow is covered ;-) Service was good. Let me set the stage...I have served, bartended and managed restaurants a good bit of my life. I am well aware of stellar service and just getting by service. I am a huge tipper, but you need to provide the service aspect 1st. -We chose call ahead seating for 7 for my nephew's 16th birthday. It was busy when we got there for a Thursday night. When we checked in we were quoted 40 minutes. About 45 min later, when we inquired we were told that we were next on the list. (pertinent info-2 tables of 8ish walked in after us in the beginning to put their name on the list) We all assembled at the desk and stood waiting... and waited...and watched BOTH larger tables be seated...and waited. Mind you, we had a toddler that was a bit hangry at this point. We were TOLD to step over in the waiting area, and we would be seated as soon as they could. Finally, it was time to be seated at a table that was enough for 6 but uncomfortable for 6 and a toddler. (There was no room for a highchair at the end because the table across had a highchair too.) I then ordered a few apps for the table. Apps came out, and we ordered dinner. Server seemed like she knew how to take care of us. THEN ...the food came out. It was just wrong... sour cream where it shouldn't be, steak well done (why eat it!?!) and my loaded fries that I had been looking forward to all day... bacon was burnt. Black charred burnt. I was handed my plate, and I apologized and handed it back. I stated," These are burnt." ( There is nothing in my life that I enjoy charred...lest my favorite food.) About 5 minutes later, the same plate came out with the same fries and the same charred bacon but some of it was scraped off. She asked if everything was ok. (Ummm, no!!??!!) I was hungry and it was still burnt. She asked if I wanted her to take it back and have it remade. I did the 1st time, now I didn't want to tell them yes, tell them why and tell them how to complete the task. She said ok and walked away. Server obviously spoke to the MOD because someone came to the table and brightly said, "How is everything?" I looked at my family and we all agreed by eye looks to move forward. I didn't want to rehash everything I had conveyed prior - again. I was tired and hungry. Check time... We stated that one side of the table was one check, the other side was one. The check got split right down the middle. ???????? How is that accurate? What happened to the detailed receipts? I'm sure I was still charged for the charred food that I didn't want nor eat. By then, we were all ready to exit. I paid the check and we left. We decided to pass on visiting this establishment again. Here are my points... -When one chooses to go to a restaurant...The patron shouldn't have to be the server. I shouldn't have to explain non-essential items. ie. I would like my steak med rare not crunching when I bite into it. -I should not have to argue or justify myself in asking for food to be cooked correctly... non charred (gold stars for presentation as well) -Present the check to each person. Let them decide if they want to pay for someone else. It seems like you're hiding something if you are not willing to openly convey this info. Bottom line-I pay for a service and tip generously. I should get every bit of that and a little zhuzhing. If any restaurant, in this day, can step up and give the service and food quality that once was ?? Per the reviews at this location for the last couple years.It looks like they have really bad ratings, but I went ahead and gave it a try. The staff were friendly. I went on a Saturday afternoon. Busy time. We waited no longer than 20 minutes for a party of 3's food. My steak was cooked perfectly with juicy to order the fried onion was perfectly fried crisp.The rolls were constantly refilled.No extra charge or upcharge, like I saw on some comments here that they were charging for rolls.We did dine in and we did not have that experience. The server was fast courteous, professional friendly. The ambiance was normal. Not too loud. Not too quiet, pretty busy Saturday. Based on my experience, I would go back. We had no issues with any of our orders. No, issues with the cleanliness of a facility property or table, we were constantly checked on by management and staff throughout our meal. Texas Roadhouse did a great job of accommodating our group of 8 at the last minute, the restaurant was clean, and the server did a great job of tending to our group's needs, keeping drinks filled, and speaking in a big voice so we could all hear her. The orders were right for the most part, and the food came in a way that made sense, allowing us the proper time between bread, appetizer, salad, and meal. I ordered a med-rare steak and it was definitely more done than I prefer it, with the medium being the least amount of doneness, my ribeye was ok... but a good buy for the price. This restaurant is located off of 135 and is located next to the Menards. It has a decent amount of parking available in its private lot and has spots reserved for pick up orders and Purple Heart recipients. They have a large dining area and bar seating is available as well. I came here for my birthday and before I ordered, I was already served a big plate of disappointment. I was told they that stopped doing the birthday saddle due to COVID. Also, what happened to the peanuts? I guess COVID again. They serve you typical pub fare, including burgers, sandwiches, salads, barbecue, chicken and of course steaks, which you can pick from behind a glass yourself. They also have a full bar and some savory signature cocktails. When you are seated they bring you a basket of some delicious biscuits with cinnamon butter. Oh well, the place was busy, but we were seated right away. I ordered the Cactus Blossom (their version of the Bloomin Onion) to start off. Then for my entree I went with the 1/2 slab of ribs with steak fries and a side of chili. The chili was delicious. I am a fan. As advertised, the meat fell off the bone. This Texas Roadhouse location is nearby a Menards with plenty of parking. My husband wanted to try this restaurant chain so we ended up making a to go order online this past Friday. We ended up ordering: Complementary rolls- We got 4 with our order and plenty of cinnamon butter on the side, packed in small plastic cups. The rolls were delicious and loved that they were warm. Country Vegetable Plate, $10.99- With this entree, you get to pick 4 sides from a designated list. I picked steamed broccoli, baked potato, steak fries and green beans. Please note that I am not vegetarian but I really like to eat the sides of entrees and not always the entree itself (yeah I know I'm odd but I'm okay with it). The baked potato was wrapped and had salt already on the skin, which I tried to wipe off since I'm not really big on salty foods. I had requested to have sour cream and butter on the side with my potato. The potato was cooked perfectly and very easily, I was able to cut into it with my plastic knife. The steamed broccoli was a little overcooked but the green beans was completely over cooked. I didn't like the seasoning they used on the green beans. The fries were soggy, but I think that is expected when ordering that to go as it sits in the container/ box until you are ready to consume it. Grilled Pork Chops, $14.99 prior to tax- This entree comes with 2 sides. My husband picked sauteed mushrooms and mashed potatoes with gravy. I thought the pork chops (comes with 2) were just average but my husband thought they were good. The mushrooms were pretty good but I didn't try any of the mashed potatoes. My husband liked this meal. Add on ribs to meal, $7.99 prior to tax- My husband decided to add on the ribs. I thought this was average at best, my husband felt the same. The ribs were not as tender as I would have liked. Grilled Salmon Salad, $13.98 prior to tax- This salad was mostly made of the cheap iceberg lettuce and some romaine lettuce. There was a generous amount of shredded cheese, some grape tomatoes, some seasoned crotons and chopped hard boiled egg. I felt that the salmon was a little overcooked. Would not recommend ordering this. --------------------------- (Total= $52.28 after tax) We got a text message on our phone that our order was ready for pick up. We parked in the curb side pick up and walked up to the window for our order. We didn't find out until we arrived to our AirBnB that one of the boxes we had in our to go bag was leaking. This was the salmon (the oil from the fish was leaking), as it was packed separately from the salad. The box was tilted and really should have been laid flat to avoid this. Go the the Texas Roadhouse website and put in your party size to get on the list, it will give you an estimated time to arrive. Super simple and saves time and frustration. This place is always busy and it's easy to see why. The food is not lighting the world on fire but it's good, the service is always fast and friendly. I usually get steak or salmon with some green beans and a salad. My kids will always destroy some rolls and usually some ribs or burgers. Horrible service. We were here a couple of days ago. Conner was great, excellent food and service. Today was horrible. We had to wait over 40 to get Conner's table. No problem. My mom went to the bathroom while we were waiting. Sh didn't come back after like 15 mins, I thought something happened to her. They seated her. We come here at least once a year for my brother-in-law's birthday, just as we did tonight. Our server, Oscar, was attentive and knowledgeable. He brought everything out in a timely manner. I are the smothered chicken and it was cooked wondefully, only very slightly dry. My husband ate the salmon salad. The salmon was seasoned really well. Our kids were at a different table with a different server, Lilly. Their food took a long time coming out. Lilly seemed to be on top of it. When they got their food, though, it was warm/cold. We mentioned it to Lilly and she handled it really well and took great care of our kids meals. Did you know that everything that comes out of the kitchen for maybe a few exceptions are made from scratch? Me learning about this made my love for roadhouse even more! The service is always great one thing I noticed is the manager goes around to every table and does table check!! You must have this for the highest potential of returning business in a restaurant.
