I don't even want to put 1 star. ive been here many times in the past years but this one was the worst experience ever. I sent an email because when I spoke to manager as I left he didn't even care or offer a free meal or drinks even had the nerve to say the server " Javier" is his best, um no, only said sorry and when I come back in next time he will check on me, um no again im not coming back in thank you, here is email and this is what it says: my best friend took me my kids and her son to chilis after I visited my dying grandma in hospital. It was 6:15pm ish Sunday 02/08/14. we didn't get seated till 20min later. then our server didn't come to our table for 10min, then we asked for 5 waters asap, he didn't bring us anything for 20min we actually grabbed another server from another table to get him to our table. once we got water he said he will be right back, he did not come take our order for a while we were so frustrated we just paid for games on tablet and tried to calm our hungry upset kids. finally we ordered it seem to take forever. my kids mac and cheese was dried out and looked like it was made day before and warmed up in microwave. I make it for my kids all the time from box or from scratch. my chicken was rubbery dry, my god son was also. my bff fish was gross she had us all taste it. she didn't finish it. was smelly and tasteless. my sons corn dog was cold. in fact everyone's meal was cold. the fajitas didn't even sizzle or have smoke onion were over cooked slimy. no matter how gross the food was it was the server who ruined our experience. he had attitude ignored us and was even rude. manager didn't care at all. no com meal or take my info." Javier was our server and he was rude ignored us and made our experience horrible besides the food being really gross and cold. our server said check out on tablet and we never were asked if we need anything the entire night. he never refilled our water or checked on us once. we didn't even leave till 8:30pm and that was not us hanging out after we ate. 2plus hours of feeling ignored and unsatisfied. I would say our servers attitude was the worst part. I used to give Chili's three stars as the customer service was always good and friendly but the food was basic restaurant fare, nothing extraordinary. But the new tablet at the table and the service that goes along with it completely ruined our experience. Chili's now has two servers per a table. We saw one of our servers twice, didn't see the other one at all, someone else brought our drinks, and another person brought our food. When we were seated the hostess let us know about the new tablets and how they have games on them. She didn't tell us that we had to pay to use the games, if we had just handed this over to our daughter to play with she would have added that on to our bill. Thankfully we didn't, we realized immediately how they worked and put it at the end of the table and didn't play with it. But you're now expected to re-order your drinks and order appetizers and desserts from the new tablet because its apparently too much trouble for your servers to ask. When our server came to our table she introduced herself and asked us our names. That's fine for my five year old but idiotic for us as adults... It sounded like she was attempting to make the experience more personable but truthfully we saw her twice so it just came off as fake and forced (not that our server wasn't trying). BUT THAT WASN'T HER FAULT. There were way too many hands in our customer service for her to make a connection. I couldn't even remember our server's name... which for me is a big deal, but we didn't see her enough for it to even matter. She gave us her name, asked for ours, and no one used either at any point during the meal. BLEH! When we were finished with our meal and went to pay our check (again on the tablet), it had turned out that the wrong one was on our table and instead of a $30 bill, we had a $90 bill. It took over 10 minutes to get this fixed as the other table had already paid our bill. We were already so put off by our experience that we just wanted to go. I live off tips, but with the lack of customer service we didn't feel our servers deserved the automatic 20% tip that the tablet forced on us and we did change it to 15% (which sucks because we normally leave a 40-60% tip but I couldn't do it with the crap for service we received). My husband and I normally go here a couple times a month as this Chili's is walking distance from our house and our servers have always been friendly and personable, after this I doubt we'll return. When the servers changed to two servers per a table the quality of service had already decreased but now the level of gimmick and lack of customer service is appalling. I'd rather have to drive somewhere further out than receive poor service for food that is standard restaurant fare. read more

My family and I went to Chili's for my wife's birthday and it was amazing. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted and seated right away. We got a great booth upon request and our dining experience started. Our server (Tobias) was awesome. He made sure our beverages were always full and he went out of his way to cater to our every need. We like to have extra condiments with our meals and he was on his game. The staff got together and sang "Happy Birthday" to my wife, with the Manager (Abdul) leading the way. Chili's truly made this a wonderful evening and birthday for my wife. I would have given it two stars but our server was amazing. She was sweet and attentive and made our experience so pleasant. Chili's is one of those restaurants that I find to be the definition of mediocre. They're barely good and I only wind up at one when cheap meals are needed. (say for someone's birthday). Our table was TERRIBLE. Half of it was taken up by two ketchup bottles (one was basically empty), the "specials" paper display, and a light that jutted out from the wall at shoulder level to illuminate our plates. We were packed in so tight to the other tables that when someone bent over to buss the one next to us if he had backed up even a step his butt would have been on my plate. I could hear everything that was happening at the tables around us so we had absolutely no privacy. I seriously could have reached over and grabbed food off of someone's plate without ever getting out of my seat. As for the food, it was okay. My sweet corn soup was better than expected and I'd definitely order it again. My boyfriends hamburger was nothing to write home about. We had bottomless chips for an appetizer and the salsa was really bland and too sweet but I liked the chips. Nothing was great and the seating was completely unacceptable. Man, everytime we come here the cooks screw up the order. They cannot cook a steak here. Medium rare = Tartar or well done, depending on the cook. You can see the frustration in the waitstaff's faces. The manager stepped up and apologized for the three times that we had to send the steaks back - the meal was on the house. read more

Some of the reviews here baffle me. They talk about an overall decent experience, yet give only two stars. Harsh! I hope they don't treat their kids the same way. My partner and I are regulars here and we often go for dinner after work, about once a week. For the absolute best service, sit in the bar area. The servers there are dynamite! Fast, friendly, efficient, responsive, explosive... just kidding about that last one. :-) The rest is true though, they truly work towards making sure your experience is a positive one. The other part of the dining area... well, I'll get to that later. Overall their menu consists of fairly flavorful food. The fried shrimp is as close to perfect as I've ever found: lightly battered, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. I can't tell you how many time I've been disappointed by fried shrimp in other places. The batter is too thick, the shrimp is too salty, or they overcook it. Here it's good almost every time. I don't usually eat red meat, but I'll sometimes make an exception for their babyback ribs. Both the original and the Shiner Bock sauces are good. The Monterey Chicken is another flavorful favorite. Some of the items, such as the Margarita Chicken, leave something to be desired with dry chicken. That particular item is healthier fare though, with no gravy or cheese to tone down the dryness of the chicken breast. When you go as many times as I have, you learn what to consistently order and what to avoid. Still, if it's still on the menu, then there must be those who like it, right? For margarita lovers, it's hard to beat El Presidente! Just the right amount of tartness, sweetness and kick. Other places may make decent margaritas, but these remain an absolute favorite. I love dessert, but most of the desserts here I find to be way too sweet. Sugar overload, especially with either of the lava cakes. While I have mostly positive things to say about this Chili's, there are a few things that cause me to remove a star from a potential 5-star rating. Before we learned to sit in the bar, we would sit in the regular dining area. One of the Happy Hour specials is $5 margaritas. Well if you sit in the regular dining area, you won't get happy hour prices. Occasionally a server will honor the happy hour price, but usually they'll just tell you those prices are only available in the bar. Is that ridiculous or what? So I would tell the server forget it, haul myself over to the bar, get the margarita, and then go back to my seat. Seriously, what is the big deal where we sit? Happy hour prices should be everywhere! The full menu is available in the bar, so what's the difference? Another area of disappointment is inconsistency. First the inconsistency of service regarding the dining area drink prices. Second is sometimes the margarita is off - either it's too watered down, or it's not filled to the top of the shaker. They seem to have improved that in the last few weeks, so maybe they got rid of the bad bartender. Or maybe they make better ones because we sit in the bar now. Who knows. It's true there tend to be hoards of screaming children around every time we go, but it's one of the downfalls of going to a family friendly place. It's noticeably better in the bar area, for obvious reasons (though they don't ban kids from sitting there if they're with parents). Yet another reason to sit in the bar during happy hour! The noise levels are average for a busy restaurant. A bit loud, depending on who your table neighbors are, but you should be able to hear your table-mates' conversations. Overall a great place to go with friends or family. read more

It's Chili's what do you expect? I go mostly for their Happy Hour as you get free chips and salsa and their drinks are pretty decently priced. Our server was awesome and on top of his game the past few times we have sat in the bar, but lets be honest this place does not have the best food (especially since they took away one of my favorite salads) nor do they have an awesome selection of micro beers. Nonetheless its decent for a happy hour and even then you can find a better place if you feel like researching happy hours. read more

We've now gone to almost every Chili's in town. This one was a terrific experience. The hostess...Eden...was very nice and friendly. We joked with her while being sat down. The two meal deal, with Presidente Margaritas, is our new favorite menu item. The ONLY problem we have with the Chili's chain is...the last one we went to (near the movie theatre in Town Square), didn't have their computers working, and couldn't give us our "rewards" points. They gave us a receipt to send it online, and as usual...the Chili's corporation said they "couldn't find it." Last time that happened, it involved a numerous series of emails to try and straighten it out. Their "rewards" points are becoming more trouble than they're worth, and we might just give up on this chain. But dang it...we like their food so much! I probably eat here at least twice a month. I rarely eat at a corportate establishment. This Chili's is the exception. Every time the food is great! Comes out hot, quick and exactly as ordered ( usually some modification.) Tonight we share a burger, perfect... fires hot, seasoned and plentyful, they even split the plate for us. This adventure reminded me why I don't EVER eat at chain restaurants. The food is low quality and they sit you on top of each other because they have "sections" and don't care about personal space. On top of it 20 minutes after we ordered the waitress decided to tell us that the computer system was down and the orders were messed up. It was low quality and very cheap feeling. Just sad, and we will never go back again!!!! PS - It is not rocket science to be a server. Why do they make it look like it is super tough?
