We were very excited that the restaurant was walking distance. I am a big of this chain restaurant just ask my family. However this particular restaurant was so disappointing. We ordered my favorite Chicken Explosion Salad and my boyfriend ordered a Bowl of Chili to go. We waited at the side back door and there was a door dash in front of us upset that he was waiting for his order for a while and no one acknowledged him. We were told it will be a few minutes more waiting on the salad?! So this automatically alerted us that the Chili is getting cold. 10 minutes went by and our order was ready. So I opened the bag to ensure we had our order. We were astonished to see that the portions are a lot smaller than going into the restaurant "which we were there the last 2 nights before" which I ordered my salad. My boyfriend Jeff asked to see the difference between a Bowl vs a Cup of chili. The 4 people who were at the cash register all walked away to the back. Finally the manager comes back and said that the difference between the two is a cup is 1 scoop and a bowl is 2 scoops. Well for $10.00 dollars our Oder was not a two scoop. My salad was also a small portion in the to go. We were dismissed by the manager as he just walked away. Do you want to experience an absentee owner restaurant come here. Went on labor day and was happy to find parking lot half empty. Unfortunately, the smiling hostess said we would have a 20 minute wait. It appears they didn't have the staff and the manager decided to take the night off as well. So, we went to go to the bar and were told the bar was closed. There was actually a bartender on duty for our full 20 minute wait - but perhaps she wasn't trained. Any owner would tell you - Never, ever close the bar as the highest profit margin is there. Many parties came and then left with the news there was a wait. Couldn't help but think the staff breathed easier as each party decided not to stay. Seated near an old loud AC fan, paint chipped on our booth and dirty floors. Drinks and food actually were delivered quickly to the table. Server did forget to bring utensils, until we asked for them. Food was OK. Buffalo salad very good except lettuce was warm. Ribs OK. Drove over there from Martinez, after my friend from Livermore verified they would be open for dining. They were closed!!!! There loss because we went to Eddie Pappas next door that was really busy. We saw numerous cars pulling into the chilli's parking spot then leaving and dining over where we ended up going. Why they couldn't put a sign on the door, change their website info, or put correct info on their phone recording is beyond me. It is obvious Chili's should never have opened indoor dining. They are running a skeleton crew. My initial wait time was 20 minutes. The hostess was keeping track of people waiting on sticky notes and they couldn't keep them straight! It is like they forgot how to handle people coming to eat in a restaurant. 40 minutes later I still haven't been seated nor can I even find a hostess. I finally see the hostess and she is also a server and bussing tables. This wasn't her fault but managements failure to be able to handle indoor dining. After waiting 50 minutes I just left. After 15 minutes of sitting and waiting, I called the phone number from the order confirmation. I sat on hold for 5 minutes and the system dropped my call. Ordered on Doordash from It's Just Wings. Did not realize that it was owned and made by Chili's but that's okay. The deal was great. 11 boneless wings with french fries for $8. The downside is that they messed up the order. I ordered one boneless wings for myself and one bone-in wings order for my wife, they forgot the bone-in wings and doubled up on the boneless order. So the sauce and the types of wings were incorrect. It's not a huge deal, she still liked it but the receipt clearly had the correct order on it, so it was just a mistake from the kitchen. Love this place. Generally very little wait and the good tastes delicious. We also really love this one waitress there (I forget her name, brunette, glasses, very cheerful). She understands customer service amazingly well and is always a joy to deal with everytime. The only issues at this location is that the food takes about twenty minutes to get out. This is worse Chili's I've been to!! Waited 1 hour to be seated. Then waited another 15 minutes at the table before a server comes by and say "I'll be right with you". Then waited another 10 minutes before she takes our order. There were a lot of empty tables so wait shouldn't have been this long. While waiting, I was looking around and the place is filthy!! There's 10 tables that needed to be cleaned. Floors covered with napkins and crumbs. For a restaurant, this is unacceptable. The only positive I have was my drinks, chips and salsa came within 5 minutes after order was taken. My actual food order took another 30 minutes. I would give it zero star if Yelp would let me here. Ordered food from the Pleasanton location. Everything is soggy, the chicken crispy, the garlic bread and the chips on the margarita chicken. The Sprite tastes like rusty tap water mixed with Sprite. Broccoli is is over cooked and yellow. Also the side chilly is way too salty, it looks as though it's been in the slow cooker for too long. I've come here a few times just to pick up the soup and salad combo which is around $8. They have a gluten free menu on the website so it's easy for me to choose something which I appreciate. The salad is always fresh and a pretty decent sized portion and the citrus vinaigrette is really good. I'll always get the loaded potato soup and it's usually good. Easy selection for lunch. The sushi place that we were going to was closed till 4:30pm and we had a 1/2 hour to kill. My mother suggested we go have a drink here and a some chips and salsa. Good idea, because the sushi place didnt have mixed beverages. Well, thats until my sister got involved and wanted me to split some Chombard, Raspberry Grossness. Just thinking about it makes me want to dry heave. Ive had better Nyquill shots before bed. It was so horrible we sent it back. With many apologies for not liking it. For some reason I always think of the movie "Waiting" when I eat at Chili's. They were very nice about it and the waitress seemed to know how bad it was, I just wish she had told us beforehand. Then we got a blended strawberry margarita with sugar on the rim. It was good but I should have just stuck with my regular Presidente I normally go with. The chips are really good. Nice and thin. The salsa needs Cilantro but not everyone likes Cilantro. My sisters boyfriend ordered these cheesey french fries. I had never seen them before and I didnt eat any because I wanted room for my sushi. Service was slow. They took off that crappy margarita which was nice. I didnt expect that. I really dont venture very far into the menu at Chilis. I had low expectations coming into this chain restaurant, but the kids asked to go (so they could use the gaming screen at the table). We had a party of 3 on a weeknight, and sat ourselves in the bar - surprisingly, there was a short wait even in a Tuesday. I was pleasantly surprised by our whole dining experience! The service was some of the best we've received, which was especially appreciated since it was just me and two young boys. Our server came to take our order shortly after we sat down, was patient when the kids changed their minds, checked on us regularly, and hurried around with water when we had something spicy. Many of the reviews here, I noticed, also say the same - great service. As far as food, we were all happy - in my experience you just need to know what to order: chicken tenders and sliders are hard to go wrong with at Chili's. My Santa Fe salad and the kids' corn on the cob were also delicious! For dessert, the molten lava chocolate cake was warm, gooey, and delicious. My partner and I tried eating here. When we arrived it didn't look busy and the host told us to sit in which ever seat we would like and a server would be with us. We sat down and started talking a few seconds go by and an elderly couple arrived they were also told the same thing. We waited 15 minutes and I noticed the elderly couple asked for the waiter, the host said a waiter would be with them so we waited another 3 minutes. She is fun, friendly and excellent at her job. The lunch specials are pretty reasonable for a sit down restaurant. You can get soup and salad with chips and salsa for less than 8 bucks. You can also get the deal where you choose soup or salad and then your main entree for less than 10 bucks. Fantastic deal! I recommend a salad and chicken fajitas. You can keep it low carb and skip the tortillas. Throw your fajita mix on the salad and you are good to go. I also love the wings. I would have given this place three stars on the scale but because Kirsten is so fantastic I had to bump it up a star. When my hubby and I were dating and tight on money we'd split a burger and add to side salads, kept the bill under $15. We don't go often now but my husband was hankering for some cheesy dip so we noshed on burgers. All in all if you want a boxed diner experience Chili's is reliable. This used to be our "go to" place for the past 12 years since the food was good and it was so close to home. After this last weekend I'm not to sure we will be in a big hurry to return. We were both craving the quesadilla explosion salad so off we went for an early dinner. The salad was terrible, soggy and way too much dressing. It used to be a crispy salad but this was so soggy that we both left over half on our plate. Also, the restaurant was real dirty. The sides of our table were black with dirt and grime which really stood out due to the metal framing around tables. Looking around I saw that all of the tables were just as dirty. Looks like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The waiter wasn't as attentive as normal. He never came back to check if our drinks needed to be refilled. When it came time to pay, we had to chase him down since the kiosk at our table was missing. Final reflections are that chili's on hopyard has really gone downhill. It's sad and disappointing since it used to be a restaurant you could count on for a quick delicious meal. With so many choices in this town we will be going somewhere else next time for sure. read more

Me and my cuzin went there for a drink before they closed it was a Monday and nothing really around. We finished our drink they where almost closing we got up to leave. We left then I notice I left my purse we tried to return but it was closed. The next day I went up there soon as they open the manager said no purse was found.. I know I left the purse there and it was so small you would only have seen it if you cleaned up. There is as about 200 dollars cash and I'm sure the busser or cleaning crew kept it. When he got it, the Parmesan was a pale white and the steak looked a little burnt. The waitress offered to fix it, and he declined, but she gave us the Molten Choco. They charged us a $1.99 entertainment fee for playing with the tablets stationed on the table. Supposedly, it's supposed to give you two prompts asking the user to agree to the far, but we did not receive any. The hidden fee is unethical and we will not be coming back again. Also, they had a 3 for $10 deal that included the bacon burger ($11.79) but the waitress didn't bother telling us about it.
