The service was fast and accurate, offering an array of food options for both big and little eaters with varying diets. The little enjoyed mini birthday cake pancakes with a cream cheese topping with a side of bacon. One enjoyed the entire plate, while the other ate all the bacon and half the pancakes - a win in our opinion. The adults enjoyed a salmon plate with rice and veggies, and a veggie omelet with a fruit salad. Both meals were plentiful, flavorful and satisfying. The only complaint is the lack of ripeness regarding the cantaloupe included in the fruit salad. The interior of the restaurant was spacious, well maintained and clean. Our server was attentive, provided coloring pages to occupy the little and was patient with our selection making. Denny's has not been an option for my family for many, many years. Surprisingly good! My friends and I came to this Denny's location on a Saturday morning. We were genuinely surprised at how nice this one is. I have never seen a Denny's with a outdoor patio, fire pit, and with personalized decor. Usually, diners like this that are open 24/7, are a bit ran down, but this one was much different. The beer bottle display and Pleasanton light-up sign were super cute and really boosted my first impression. We were sat as soon as we walked in with no wait. Despite it being what I would think is a busy time, the restaurant was relatively empty. So, all of the guests were sat in the same area of the restaurant. Despite this, it was pretty quiet. I really enjoyed the music - they were playing everything from EDM to country. I ordered the Berry Vanilla Two-Crepe Breakfast with sausage and eggs cooked over easy. I also had a few bites of my friend's Diner Dipper, with boneless buffalo wings, Cheesy Bacon Ranch Sliders, and Mozzillas. We had a table for five, and all of our food came out super quick and hot. The food was as expected. The crepe was amply filled with the vanilla cream and had fresh berries on top. The sausages were super tiny but cooked well. My eggs felt a little underdone because the whites were runny, but still tolerable. The mozzarella sticks in the dipper were huge and piping hot. They had a nice seasoning to them. I enjoyed the meal overall! The server was very friendly. He was very well-mannered and personable. I did find it a bit odd though that when one of the people at our table asked for all of our waters to be refilled, the server brought us another two glasses of water instead of actually refilling them. It was a bit awkward to try and fill all five of our glasses with the two glasses we were given, but it was really no big deal. I would definitely revisit this Denny's location! read more

Well, it's Denny's so set your expectations accordingly. You won't leave hungry, that's for sure. But idk what happened to the prices because I ended up spending almost $40 with the tip, for ONE person. No OJ, just coffee. I had one of the "Slams". The waiter asked if I wanted home fries, so I said sure and then asked if I wanted cheese with my scrambled eggs and I said yes, but somehow those two things added $10 (+/-) to the bill. I honestly thought it would be included, so that's on me, but sheesh, $40 for one person to have a Denny's breakfast is nuts even in the Bay Area. Well wanted to write this up not so much for the food but the service. I was going to stop at Giant Burger - but this one was closed - right near by is a Denny's. All I really wanted was a cup of coffee to drink for the next hour to drive home. I wouldn't exactly say the coffee at Denny's is gourmet - but Starbucks ruined the ability to get a decent cup of Joe at an inexpensive price. The coffee at Denny's is drinkable - if you put enough creamer and sweetener in it. I like the breakfast at Denny's much more than the coffee. However the woman who was working was awesome - she gave me great service - and I appreciated it this late at night. I think it's so weird how are it is to find a place with great coffee after around 1-2 in the afternoon - . So you take what you can get. The marine layer from the bay was very cold and pushing it's way into the interior of California - so I wanted a hot coffee - Denny's was the only place open around the off ramp - well there is a bar that was open - but closed after 2 AM and last thing in the world I wanted was something with alcohol in it - so thanks Denny's for being open and shame on you Star - mucho - bucks for not being open. read more

I'm giving this Denny's a low rating today me and some coworkers came in to have some breakfast and at first everything was good. The food did take a while to come out a coworker ordered a glass of milk and did not come out until he was already done with his food, the server never asked how we wanted to pay and assumed I was gonna pay the bill so I corrected him and he came back and split the check appropriately once I paid. I moved myself to the back so my coworkers can pay for their bill and I saw that he was mumbling under his breath. after a few seconds he got louder, and he was mentioning about not giving a tip. He became very disrespectful and was being specific how we did not want to tip him not for the foundation, but for his own kids at home. After the argument, he mentioned to me and my coworkers that if we don't have money to tip that we should go to Burger King. I really don't mind tipping people, but when they come at you this disrespectful and wanting you to support their kids then that's when I just don't bother in tipping.His name is Javier C. The bad: * Took 15 minutes to get coffee, and the cold coffee drinks are awful * Took another 20 minutes for food to arrive, and it was lukewarm - clearly had been waiting for some time under the warming lights. * Completely understaffed - one server covering at least 10 tables in multple sections and also the register! * Never brought more coffee * Failed to apply 15% AARP discount but instead ripped me off by apply 5% AAA discount No wonder Black Bear is crowded and Denny's is not- bigger portions, faster service. We came on a Sunday after dining at a Thai restaurant for our anniversary. We didn't feel like having Thai dessert . But rather , we craved for some American desserts like Brownie a la mode! So we decided to visit Denny's to have my dessert fix! We got there around 8:30pm and there was only one table occupied so it was nice and quiet. Our server was Francisco and he was very welcoming and kind. We ordered an Oreo shake, 1 brownie sundae, 1 apple crisp to share among 4 people. Since we were already full from our Thai dinner, we didn't want to have too much dessert. But still, didn't want to order too little. But Francisco might have thought we haven't eaten yet, so for the apple crisp, he gave us 3 huge scoop of ice cream!!! The picture in the menu was just 1 scoop! The ice cream on top of the brownie was also huge! So instead of 2 ice cream, we got 4 big generous scoop. 1 per person on top of the big Oreo shake! Just disappointed I ordered food to go and it was given to me this way. I chose ordering there over a fast food restaurant and couldn't even eat my food. I took a picture of how burnt the food was and you can visibly see it was cooked in old grease. I never complain but who packs someone's food like that? My husband and I had a few bites into the omelet and the regular cheeseburger. We noticed that our orders were not correct. We were given the Veggie omelet. The cheeseburger was not cooked thoroughly, and it had the wrong cheese. We spoke with our server and he confirmed it was incorrect. He would have the cook redo the orders. This Denny's location is in a small quieter plaza. There is some parking out front with some designated parking for this restaurant as well. I ordered online, so it was almost ready when I arrived. The difficult part was trying to flag down an employee to get my order - it was not busy, but it looked like there was only 1 server working the whole restaurant that night. After getting the attention of an employee - he looked at me without saying anything and proceeded to go take orders instead of even just at least acknowledging me. When I was finally helped, I still had to wait a bit for him to pack and bag my order with all the sides, condiments, and utensils. I get that the employee was the only one working the floor, but I feel like I could at least be acknowledged or something when I was just standing at the front counter waiting to be helped. Anyway, after receiving my order - I wished I checked it because I did not do so until I got to my car and I had to come back because they were missing a bunch of things for my order. I ordered their Berry Waffles and Strawberry Vanilla Crepes with fruits and whipped cream on the side. Everything was separated, but the to go containers were packed horribly that everything kind of leaked everywhere, so it was pretty messy. The waffles were rock hard and really dry even with the butter, sugar, and sauce. The crepes were overly sweeten and kind of dissolves / melts in your mouth, so that was not that enjoyable either. My worst Dennys experience I've ever had! I'm an emt that was on shift with my partner we stopped by at 1:30am got seated right away there was one table before us my work partner ordered a root beer and I got the pancake grand slam. After 40 mins I had asked our waiter Lmedina 4 times for the root beer where he looked at me confused and walked away it wasn't until I asked a different server for it that we finally received the drink. The pancake grand slam is supposed to come with 2 eggs, two slices of bacon, 2 sausages, hash browns and your choice of pancakes after waiting 50 mins for my food to come out I only had one sausage and one slice of bacon. Me and my partner got a call and didn't have time to explain the issue, we payed and left in a hurry. I tried to call after we finished our call and speak to a manager but the same server answered the phone and hung up on me when I asked. I'm down here in the Dublin area for work and it's my birthday. One of my crew suggests I go to Denny's for a free breakfast. Really, they do that? Well, OK, then off we go. Seated fine, I ask about the free breakfast. They say I get a gran slam or something like that. It's eggs, hash browns, 4 pieces of breakfast meat and 2 big pancakes. Hey, that's a lot of food for free! The food comes out pretty quick and wow, that a lot of food. The hash browns look nice and crispy how I like and the eggs I get scrambled. The pancakes come with a big blob of butter on top and all hot and steaming. There's syrup on the table for the pancakes. The food is yummers and hot and filling. I haven't had pancakes in a restaurant for as long as I can remember. This was a great free breakfast! I'll have to remember this next year! read more

I get up go to the service line and manager is chopping it up laughing with cooks. I ask why the delay, he says he has other orders before mine.
