We celebrated our son's birthday here in January. Not sure why people are having such bad experiences here, but we had a really nice time. It wasn't overly crowded, and the overall feeling that night was pretty laid back. Didn't realize it was Happy Hour and our drinks were two for one which was great. We've eaten here twice since they opened late last month. We sat at the bar both times. Both times we were there during the dinner rush, and once the dining room filled up, the families that didn't want to wait opted to eat in the bar area. These were families with poorly behaved hyper-active children. It was like being at a Red Robin. If you want to avoid the Red Robin vibe, try Chili's during lunch or after 8 PM. Overall, the service was fast and friendly, the food was very good, and the atmosphere, screaming kids aside, was pretty cool. The bar has several flatscreen HD TVs, and they had the audio up. Everytime i've been there in the last year the service is really rude, and when our food finally arrives it is cold.

I had the spinach queso to start. The tortilla chips had a greasy taste and the salsa seemed pre-made. I thought the salsa was good, but the spinach queso could have used more spinach. I ordered a chile steak with asparagus, red tomatoes, garlic and french fries. The steak was a bit on the small side and well done, even though I ordered it medium well, but it was surprisingly juicy and had a great flavor. It was a decent cut and no gristle. The avocado slices on the side were somewhat small and had salt sprinkled on them. The asparagus and red tomatoes were great, but leaned toward being too salty. The french fries were on par with Wendy's fries and required ketchup. I would have liked the fries to be better. I didn't see that they had baked potato, which would have been nice. Overall, it was kind of pricey, but I enjoyed it. I'm not sure I have any reason to go back, so I'm giving it 2 stars. read more

The food here is really good and the staff is amazing (this includes greeters, waiters and management). They stayed on top of drink refills and clearing the tables between courses. This is some of the best service I've had in awhile. read more

I love wine and it really irks me when it is served in a dirty glass. I presented the glass to the manager who tells me they only wash the glasses once per week! !!!! Will never go back and I advise everyone else to avoid this location!!! I went to get a Margarita today and suddenly my phone dissappeared. I looked everywhere and asked everyone. The servers were rude and all the girls seemed to have attitude. I have a phone tracker so I went back 3 HOURS later. Of course no phone was turned in so I asked if I could track it. The tracker makes the phone sound like a car alarm. I mentioned this to the hottess. And what do you know? The girl manager (?) and a server dipped away to the bathroom, then miraculously found it in the bathroom stall! After I was gone for three hours... surely it's possible. Such a disappointing Chilis... Wrong food after waiting 45 minutes at an empty bar with no tickets. Leaving restaurant and decided to look in my order and instead of chicken sandwich, it was like 4 pieces of grilled chicken alone, with teriyaki on them? Went back in and bartender said he mixed my food with his. Got home ( 1 mile away) and food was so cold and withered, I couldn't eat it. So lame. The Bbq jalapeño cheese enchiladas were the best. But before I could dig in to the mighty meal, I had to wait a mere 10 minutes of absolute fun. We had ordered an appetizer and our server, Keith, was very attentive and personable. We had a very great conversation as if this man and I had been great friends for years. Last 2 time I went to this Chili's the food was horrible. 1st time my hamburger was raw management basically didn't care 2nd time the fajitas were so chewy I thought I was chewing bubble gum. If the cook gets fired I would come back but until then don't waste your money. read more

I used to love this Chili's, but after last night everything has changed. They now have a new menu? And my favorite re-occurring meal of many years is no longer on the menu. I tried to order something similar but everything about it has changed and not nearly as good as it used to be. It seems as though they are changing constantly, trying too hard to compete with other restaurants...when I never felt there was anything they needed to change in the first place. Why fix something that wasn't broken?! With their new fancy rectangle plates I found our bill to be much more than it ever was in the past. They also have new tablets on the table to play games on and we were never told we would be charged for that, there is an extra dollar charge they throw onto the bill at the end if you use it. Our server "Kira" was extremely rude and the worst I've ever come across at a restaurant. After a disappointing meal, rude server, and over the top bill I can say I won't ever be going back. Sad because we can't afford to go out much but for the one time we did go out I would have liked a better experience. read more

My mom and I came in to have a late dinner after I got off of a 12 hour nursing shift. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad and my mother ordered a bowl of the chicken enchilada soup. After 15ish minutes of waiting for the food the bartender came and said they were out of the soup and asked if my mother wanted something else. Then proceeded to drop my salad off. I was expected to eat my food in front of my mother while she decided on something else and then wait for it to be made. I asked the bartender if there was a manager I could talk to, and said I was a little upset that we were not notified earlier about the soup not being available. I mentioned that I was not interested in eating any longer. The bartender rudely grabbed my plate and told me that the manager was busy doing something else and proceeded to chuck my plate onto the bar top in a pissed fashion. The manager was NEVER made available to us (the bartender said she was too busy) and the bartender rudely notified us that the food was taken off and smacked a check on the table. I had to call the manager directly from my cell phone, while sitting in the parking lot to be able to speak with her. I've worked for chili's in the past, I've served many tables, I have never been treated so poorly in a restaurant EVER. I live down the road and will never come back. Going to bed hungry now. read more

a large family of us came in around 8pm and wanted to have a good time. It was great and our "team waitors" were two people, big man and small women. Everything tasted good and we were treated not so fairly. One raw chicken was almost eaten by my mother who we requested to have an entire new grilled chicken served back to us and the raw one taken back. Two our male waiter kept going too fast on us by taking plates and other things quickly. Especially the plate in my sister's hand was yanked out and not told if she were done with it. Three, I tried to clear my are for my meal that he decided to hand to me and not tell me it would be hot. If I were not covered in calluses, it would have burned. However, if were someone who was sensitive, then this would not have gone well. Yes, I did have to set my own plate down. Going back to how fast the service was going, it felt like the male waiter really wanted to get rid of us. He even shoved that credit card game machine near my father who was still eating and didn't offer any desserts or if we needed anything else. When we were trying to pay half, we were told rudely, "there's no more discounts you can do" and all we wanted to do was pay half and half. When we told him he was rushing us he said he wasn't trying to and didn't apologize or tell us thank you for eating there and didn't even give a slight good bye. I did leave last and as I left the restroom I heard the waiters in the back talking bad stuff and saying we were too demanding for being a late at night customer. Not sure if it matters, since Chili's is the epitome of chain burger joint, but we were at the Wadsworth, Lakewood location. I certainly didn't want to add another location to the list. Kinda like adding multiple locations of a Micky D's--if you eat at 1 you've eaten at them all. So why even review something like a Chili's? Well, it's my backdoor way of saying how much I miss Bennigan's--it was the ONLY nationwide chain with really cheap food that I actually liked. As you may know, Steak & Ale, owner of Bennigan's filed the death chapter, and closed most, if not all it's restaurants. "A Victim of America's belt tightening" -- Ok, I'll get off my soap box, but when a Bennigan's can't make it, I say it's scary times. So, even the BF and I have to cheap out now and again, and with Benigan's gone, I figured I would try Chili's. Mind you, the BF likes Chili's, ( Micky D's too) and was hoping I would accept Chili's as a Bennigan's replacement. So we sit at a table in the bar area. So far so good. Waiter was there toot sweet with h2o, asking us if we want "real drinks", which we decline. The BF knows the lunch menu by heart and immediately orders a burger, medium rare, which he gets the bull sh*t about them only cooking meat medium and above. Now here's why I don't like Chili's--it's not their food, service, cold/chain feel. It's being told that I can't have my food, that I'm paying for, cooked to my order. Is this America? I understand there's a million to one chance that I'll get a tainted burger, and wind up barfing....but come on....let me sign a waiver or something. Admit it Chili's. You don't care if I get sick, you just care about getting sued. So, let me opt out of suing, and cook ( or not cook in this case) my burger the way I want it. This waiter was smart, I'll give you that, and instead of just saying Medium or nothing like the other Chili's I've encountered, he said he'll put the order in "as rare as possible". Knowing the burger was coming out medium, I went with the grilled smoked turkey, which was supposed to be a turkey club, but grilled so the swiss is melted over the bacon and turkey. Well, since they put the sandwich on a thick hogie like roll, nothing warmed let alone melted inside. The result was cold, thick bread, with cold bland ingredients inside. Swiss is only good melted, so it just didn't work. The funny thing, is that I like my fries burnt, and always assure waiters while I like my burger barking, you can't cook my fries long enough. Well, guess what...even with the "burn the fries" instruction, the fries came out white as a ghost. How ironic. They have to overcook my burger according to some mandate, but the fries can be raw. I have been there a couple times in the last month and what I've noticed is that the wait staff works hard but is belittled by their manager "Tracy"especially the young men! "Tracy" shows clear favoritism to the young girl servers but belittles the young men servers. He looks and acts like a bully. Worst experience I have ever had at a Chilis. The waiter, Nick, was an incompetent, unprofessional server. My salad came with the wrong dressing, cleverly hidden beneath the rest of my salad. No apology. No offer to bring me a new salad. The soup was shit, basically a bowl of warm cheese. I would have told Nick that, but he never bothered to return to our table to see if everything was ok. The waiter just didn't seem to give a shit. Overall a horrible experience. I order Togo from here often. The woman who always does Togo is simply great. Always friendly, asks if you need anything else (which is sometimes hard to come by these days), and just plain awesome! Definitely will continue to come back because of this service. read more

Okay, I'm a kind person and I'm easy to please. I SWEAR I'm not hating on this place because it's a CHAIN. Normally, I really like Chili's, I used to patronize the one in my home town all the time and they were great! But, truly,compaired to what you would get for the same price just about ANYWHERE and compaired to OTHER CHILI'S just about anyplace else in the country, this place is FAR below par. Like most of the other patrons, my husband came here for a bite to eat before the movies. It was first visit there, the place was packed. The resteraunt staff had a panicked "deer in the headlights" look about them. It was two for one drinks happy hour. They brought me two very itty bitty, luke warm bloody mary's that tasted like there was maybe half a teaspoon of vodka in them. I'm just guessing here. In truth, I didn't taste any vodka at all. They didn't even throw in an olive, salt on the rim, a piece of celery or anything. Just boom, here's the drink. I don't think they even gave me ice. Next came our food. I ordered the fajitas, which I've ordered at other Chili's many times in the past. I was anticipating a delicious tray of sizzling goodness with mouth watering, fragrant carmelized onions and peppers and meat still hissing away as the waiter proudly brough it over. What came was a pale, soggy, mushy mess. The food was litterally wet. It looked like they boiled it. Not the slightest hint of black or brown carmelizing on anything. What a bummer. $60 something dollars we paid for this fiasco. Against our better judgement, because I had a gift card, we decided to give the place a second chance. This time it was lunch time. It wasn't busy at all. Only one other group of people there. They still failed. My husband ordered a medium well steak and they brought him a burger. The manager came out and apologized profusely. Then, they brought a steak that was raw in the middle. Not meadium well. Again, many apologies from management. We got our drinks comped, but we were there a lot longer than we wanted to be. I'm a very slow eater and was completely done with my food by the time they got my husbands order right. Trust me, if you don't want to spend fifteen dollars on a cold plate of mush and seven dollars on a glass of watered down tasteless dreck take your hard earned money someplace else. read more

I am extremely disappointed in my service I had today. I came here with my wife, sister in law, and two kiddos. I ordered a bacon burger well done with no onion. When I got my order it was 45 minutes later and it had not come well done. I couldn't find my waiter so ended up bugging someone else for them to cook it a longer. 15+ minutes had gone by and still didnt receive my order so ended up bugging another waiter again to find out what's going on. By then another 10+ minutes went by and everyone at my table was done and ready to leave and my meal still had not come out. Once again couldn't find my waiter and ended up bugging someone else and asked for my food to be boxed because my family was ready to go home. Several minutes went by and my waiter came out with my food boxed but was an "upgraded" version with onion rings on it after I had ordered my burger with no onions. At least this point I was very frustrated. The waiter told me I could just take the onions off and told her I don't like onions. She then grabbed the boxed order and said she was going to talk to a manager. Another 5-10 minutes later the manager came out and said they could remake my burger the way I ordered or give us a dessert and comp the meal I didn't even get.
