This Chili's on Dorchester Road in North Charleston is one of my favorite places to have a really good meal. I like just about everything on the menu and whether I am sitting down at a table in the restaurant or at the bar or even getting something to go the food has always been delicious and well prepared. The staff here is great and does a really good job at making you feel welcome and being taken care of. I like the drinks and desserts here too. This Chili's has been very consistent in their quality throughout the years and it is good to have a place you know will be good. read more

Second it took another hour and 45 to get our food and my boyfriend's sirloin which he asked to be medium rare was very pink in the middle (the first two photos). This location sucks! I have been here several times and it never fails. Close to the house is an advantage, but the service is the worst. I watch how restaurants hire servers based on quickness and ability to serve. Those restaurants make money. We ordered chips and salsa and sat there for 10 minutes. Yesterday was the first time I've been to Chili's in almost 2 years and I must say I haven't missed a thing. COVID has really taken a toll on customer service within these restaurants. Our server, not going to mention her name, but she works at the bar and her name begins with A, walked up to our table and said "hey" nothing else. I had to ask her what her name was. Then we asked about margarita off the month, she had no idea what it was, the cost of the margaritas or the happy hour specials. She seemed upset because I told her my margarita tasted like water only to find out she made it. Definitely the worse customer service experience I've had and I knew from the time she walked to the table she wasn't going to get a tip. Btw I tip very well. Please take this as a suggestion, we sat outside on our last visit, please make up signs for the parking directly next to the outdoor seating that says, PLEASE NO IDLING. We had to deal with several cars sitting with the motor running and us smelling the exhaust and playing some offensive music (dirty rap). Went to Chili's yesterday afternoon for an early dinner. Went during the non peak hours so there was no wait to be seated. We had a trainee and trainer serving us. Both did a good job. I really like their 3 for $10 deal they currently have. I got a drink, appetizer (Chicken Enchilada Soup) and an entree (Margarita Chicken) for only ten bucks. Ordered separately, those three items will normally cost almost twice as much. We also got chips and salsa, and they brought two separate servings for our party of five. My soup was very good. The chicken in my entree wasn't as good as it normally is when I order this meal. Servers did a good job with refills and getting appetizers and meals out in a timely manner. read more

Joined my girlfriend and a few of her co-workers here for happy hour on a friday evening. Chilis has nice drink specials and specials on select appetizer. Very tasty and hit the spot. One issue that arose was that us girls were having vent and share time. We were outside under the covered patio so as not to bother anyone if we got rambunctious. An extended family was seated outside at some point so I believe they may of got a little offended at a couple of our rowdy outbursts. read more

Today I got the honey chipotle chicken crisper and waffles as an appetizer. My dinner companions got the excellent chips and salsa. The chips are so airy and light when you get them fresh. That's what makes this app so good. The chicken and waffles was a new menu item. It was pretty interesting with the sweet and spicy chicken on Belgium soft waffles. It comes with a side of sweet maple syrup with a bit of a kick. I didn't need it since their was enough on there already. The salad was nice and fresh with great dressings like ranch and ancho chili. The chicken was good with buffalo sauce and not over cooked and dry. The service was superb for a 6 pm dinner time on a Tuesday. The food here is just OK. The location is kind of hidden in a Walmart parking lot located on Dorchester Road. The real turn off here is the restaurant has a smoking section which I was shocked to find out when I walked in. It's 2017, I have been told this restaurant have been grandfathered into having a smoking section. I really think this is a turn off to a lot of people and because of it and the restaurant is not doing as well as it could. They do offer to go orders. Unless the smoking section was to go I won't be going here. read more

Initially things started off very rocky. Got seated and ignored for about 10 minutes. That was before I started the timer just as a joke thinking possibly someone would notice. Well no. This used to be a decent place to grab some dinner. The last time I went I was pretty sure it would be my last visit but it was 9pml and we needed a quick dinner. Decided to give them a try since COVID and sadly more disappointed than before. I normally stick to the triple dipper, basically because there isn't much actual cooking involved ‍. Tortillas were near the frozen state they were so cold. Then came back with the fajitas. Presentation looked fine. Requested warm tortillas, which he brought. Chicken has a weird texture/ taste. Chicken wasn't quite done I thought.. Pointed this out to waiter, who said he wasn't surprised and altho I told him it was fine he didn't need to replace it, he did.. Chicken still tasted "off" so I just slipped it and continued on with the rest. The manager came to the table and I let her know she may want to speak to the kitchen about the doneness/ freshness of the chicken and she offered to discount the final bill. I wasn't opposed to paying for the meal but accepted her offer of a discount. I know now I won't go back but please! if you do go, use caution with the meat! I've been going to this Chili's since I moved here in 01/2018 and have never been disappointed. Even the one time they made a mistake they took real good care of me. We just week two days ago and as always the dry rub ribs are to die for. Our waiter I believe his name was Rob made it a great experience. They go the extra mile to keep you coming back. Then when I called to see if the wraps can be delivered to my house which is less than a mile, the manager could not accommodate. Did not offer a refund or even a coupon. So we had one of the best experiences tonight at Chili's even though it was extremely busy and chaotic. So our server, Gary, had if I remember correctly 4 big tables and by big I'm talking like 3 people and over. We where basically his 4th table the other three had already been there when we got there. Now Gary was super sweet took amazing care of us and was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. He ended up with a table that had a good amount of children and a good amount of adults. Now the kids had their own booth, and the adults had the booth across from them! No big deal right? Well the kids kept trying to trip poor Gary, he said nothing, the parents had been drinking which I have no problem with, until the kids started to break things. Then I hear the parents talking about "none of there stuff was right. We aren't gonna pay for this." You know the usual. Now Gary was amazing! He kept that smile under his mask, because you can tell when someone smiles(:, and he just kept helping. They worked him to the bone and they had been one of the worst groups I'd seen. But Gary, not a single complaint to the people about the children or anything. But I'll bet they didn't even tip him and they had a BIG order it looked ruffly with the alcohol and food about $200. That they didn't pay anything for, complained the whole time, and the children broke everything literally everything. Gary dude you are amazing! We really hope you have a great weekend and we hope you get recognized for tonight's hard work because let me tell you I saw the stress and I saw the frustration but you didn't let them break you and not a lot of people can do that!!
