Took forever to have anyone stop by, hostess came to get our drink order ans we asked for chips and salsa. Took forever then our waitress came by to say she would be back, still no chips. About 20 -25 minutes after seated she stopped to take our order, she was dealing with checks at large party. Again asked for chips and ordered. 10 more minutes went by, we had asked a passing waitress foe our chips and then went to the hostess again. Still another 5 minutes where we were ignored. Watched 5 waitresses trying to change the channel on a tv. We left. As we walked out we told an incoming party to beware and they thanked us and left without sitting down Called manager back to let her know. 40 minutes and all we had was a drink and being ignored. We go to Chili's at another location multiple times a month- we will never come back to this one and will advise others to avoid it. IF they had been busy I could understand, but they were not. Because it was over crowded, there wasn't a wait to be seated but a wait to get our food. When we got it, the burgers were over well done and a little dry. We sent it back and then waited an additional 20min for the replacement burger. The replacement burger was good and medium, just took a long time. Just ordered take out from Chili's and surprisingly, even though I had a good while before I could eat it, the food was still warm and great due to how they package their to-go orders! The curb-side pick up is easy and texting them that you have arrived makes things even more convenient. read more

Had the worst server ever. There was only 3 in the party. Once we got our drinks we never had her back to the table. Had to ask another server for a refill. Our server was all over the place talking with the other works and not doing her job. A table of three came in after us and waited so long the left. This restaurant has gone down hill in the past year. Nothing is clean about it. The small computer monitors on the tables are down right disgusting to touch. It would appear that none of them ever get cleaned. They are covered with dirty, oily fingerprints and food from kids using them to play their games. The restrooms smell of raw sewage. The men's and women's restroom are the same so it must be in the plumbing. The dining room is very plain and uninviting. This could use some upgrades. The wait staff was good so we tipped them for their efforts but the rest of the place needs work. This place was not very busy for lunchtime so maybe guests are going elsewhere. I can see why. Very disappointing, we went there yesterday (Mother's Day), service was really slow. For us we waited one hour for our food & we decided to leave. We did have a appetizers so we went to pay for it. The waitress said she was giving a discount (which she didn't). I just check the price for skillet queso ($6.39). We ended up paying $7 plus. Ordered a six ounce steak that was size of a .50 cent piece when it arrived to my table. Loaded potatoes were cold as well as broccoli. Overall bad experience. I am saddened to write this review, I'm not one to complain and if I do it's got to be bad. 50 minute wait for food, once delivered one meal had hair in it. Replacement meal was never fully brought out, I say fully because they brought a kids meal to me instead. Our total visit time was an hour and 45 minutes. Waiter was apologetic but still just seemed like this was normal for them. Spoke with manager and acted like he did not even care what I was saying. Chili's, I'm sorry to admit it but I expected better from you. As a loyal customer who loves chili's I was excited when my father suggested it for our Sunday night family dinner. I got Big Mouth Bites, without onions and with rice instead of fries. My first big mouth bite was great but then I went on the eat the other and I was pulling burnt chunks off my burgers, they looked horrible, I had to peel of the entire bottoms of three patties. And we got takeout so I couldn't return the disaster, but please cook your burgers properly and appetizingly. The rice I'm happy to say was very good but those burgers are a definite no-no. You made me unhappy, I'm sorry. To make the matters significantly worse they forgot to put in my dear dad Christopher's Mexican Street Corn which I may add he paid an entire extra dollar for!!!! Maybe I can update this later chili's, that is if we return. I would like to get more burgers and actual street corn. If you can redeem yourself maybe I can replace this crummy review. We live relatively close to this chilis location and have been there probably close to ten times in the last few months. The to go service is fairly average, we like it though. It could use improvement. We always pay online in advance and the cashier is always confused by this. Also we've seen our food just sitting on the counter getting cold several times. I would rather not sit down here though. We've occasionally got a good server, but when we get a bad one it's really bad. The last time we went, we saw our waiter a total of two times, TWO. This location is not bad. It's one of only decent chain restaurants in this area of Summerville. My wife and I dined in the outside area. I would have given 5 starts as Emma our server and the food were both excellent. I deducted 2 stars because the shorter girl working as hostess made my party feel so unwelcome initially. It was not that the restaurant was busy. We had a party of eight and supposedly the one table they had that was intended for large parties was taken. Ok fine. I can understand that. I asked to be seated in the EMPTY patio section which, shocker, had tables that could be combined. You would have thought I asked her to get us front row tickets to a Garth Brooks concert the excuses she gave. My favorite was "i'll have to ask the server if it's ok to seat you outside". Not her manager, a server. It was so awkward that a male employee has to intervene at which point the tables were moved and we were seated. I live about 5 min from this restaurant and its a shame that their food preparation is so poor. Have ordered 9 times over the past year and every order has been prepared incorrectly. My wife has her favorite margarita grilled chicken nearly every time but most times the chicken and rice are cold, forget to add avocado when paid extra for it, or have a teaspoon of pico. I usually order the big bite burgers with ranch. Twice they've been blackened patties and the ranch is a dot, hardly noticeable. Tonight i tried the southwest chicken Cesar salad and the chicken was cold. Had good flavor but could tell it wasn't cooked to order. Chili's has been one of our favorite places where we've lived (Tennessee, Texas, and Missouri) but not in Summerville, SC. One last thing... we've called the restaurant on several occasions and talked with the manger and completed several customer surveys. Came to chili's for their 3 for 10.00 deal! We waited a bit longer for our drink order to be taken! We ordered food and it took over 30 minutes to receive our food! When we did receive it only 3/6 people got their food! One persons broccoli was cold, hard and over seasoned with pepper and the burger wasn't cooked to order! It took an additional 10-15 minutes to receive 2/3 food! One had a piece of plastic in his slider! Finally we got the last order and it was wrong! Took 15-20 more minutes just to get to go drinks, to go boxes for the food that was correct and for the ticket to be adjusted! Service is always extremely slow. When I say slow, I mean almost non existent all the way from the time you are seated to when you leave. I had to flag someone down just to get our drink order. Then a completely different person brought us our drinks and informed us that our waitress or waiter will be right with us to take our food order. After waiting for 20 minutes and our drinks being completely empty, we had to flag someone down again to take our food order. Then the waiter informed us that he wasn't our actual waiter and was the bartender?? P.S. we were on the other side of the restaurant from the bar. Then another 30 minutes go by and have seen no signs of our food. So once again we have to flag someone down, who goes to the back and brings our food out which was too cold to even eat. Still, we have seen absolutely no signs of our waiter at all. Was dining on the patio last night with a friend, and a very loud motorcyclist came up. He was blaring his music so loudly we couldn't hear each other talk until he turned it off. He saw us looking at him, and sat for several minutes with his music blaring. When he finally turned off the motor cycle, he began insulting and berating us. About 10 minutes after he went into the bar area, he came back out, started his motorcycle, turned it around so the exhaust was pointed towards our table, then sat there and gunned the engines for over 6 minutes. It was so loud, the dishes were rattling on the table, and my friend suffered pain in the ear due to the hearing aids reaction to the very, very loud noise. Our server came out and tried to get him to stop, but he ignored her until he felt like stopping. Then he strutted into the bar, insulting us and the server as he went in. The manager, John Odinkirk, never came to address us, he never addressed the man who harassed and intimidated us, he didn't even acknowledge anything that happened. One of the inside patrons said he defended the man to the police when they came. So, if you are a biker and like to intimidate and harass people and make a complete donkey of yourself, please consider Chili's on Dorchester Rd a place that will welcome and encourage you. If you want to dine somewhere that appreciates and respects patrons with manners - find someplace else! read more
