We decided to stop in for dinner and were pleasantly surprised with our dinning experience. When we arrived we were welcomed by a warm hostess staff that after short wait escorted us to a booth. Chilis is like family, it's my favorite place to go too. They are quick, genuine waiters like literally all of them. The vibe is always upbeat with hellos and wassups because you are bound to run into people you know. The food is always on point. The flavor, texture. Fruits usually fresh. We were seated instantly because they were busy with big parties but not smaller parties, was seated immediately at a clean table had a waitress by the name of Mariah, when far beyond her duties to make us comfortable and take our order in a quick efficient way serve our drinks, brought our food, nice and hot. I ordered my usual meal, and the waitress brought out the wrong mozzarella flavor. They took it back, but when they remade it they completely messed up the order again. I had asked for no flavor and my specific meal the way I always get it, but they brought out something totally different with double mozzarella. What really threw me off was when the waitress came back after we had already started eating and took the extra mozzarella back to the kitchen. It was their mistake to begin with. It was embarrassing and honestly just unprofessional especially because she waited about ten minutes before deciding to grab it out of our plates in front of a packed dining area. On top of that, she kept forgetting things throughout the service, and when the male manager finally came over to ask if everything was OK, I explained what happened. He didn't offer any solution,, or even basic acknowledgment. The customer service from both the waitress and management was just not it today. I usually tip generously, but this time I genuinely couldn't. This was one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant, and I've never had a place mishandle a simple order and then take back food in such an awkward and unnecessary way. Very disappointed after our last visit. We had asked a waiter if they can sing happy birthday to a member of our party, like we always do on b-days. Terrible customer service. We ordered and waited patiently. The server came by and refilled sodas... long wait on food. Ordered another round of beer, still waiting. They're now turning TVs off... still no food. Manager comes by and says something along the lines of how their screens work and how there was an error and he's sorry. I would have been fine leaving but my kids hadn't eaten and now it's too late to go elsewhere. Over an hour for food. The server stopped by at one point and said she had forgotten to send our order to the kitchen and had to tell the manager. Mistakes happen, managers are around to make these things right. No consideration or discount on the bill. After food was dropped didn't see the server again. We had to go flag someone down for a box. Again, I understand things happen. Chilis is fast casual. Not very high expectations but this was major carelessness and the manager was aware and did nothing. Some changes to the food too. Not very good. My recommendation, save your money.
