This pic shows the price/over charging of the bbq chicken plate.

Ordering through Yelp is ordering through Grub Hub for this restaurant. You will be overcharged for your food when compared to the restaurant menu. BY A LOT!!!! This was for a takeout order. Not Delivery. I ordered 2 bbq grilled chicken plates and yelp/grub hub charged me $19.81. The price at the restaurant was $14.97. I also ordered a chicken bowl and yelp/grub hub charged me $14.31. The price at the restaurant was $11.01. No where was it disclosed to me that I would be paying more than the prices at the restaurant. The food and service were good. But I still think more could have been done. I called grub hub, and they refused to refund me the difference. This is price gouging at its finest.

I frequent here since it's close to my house and just like the food a lot. The staff is so friendly, polite, and attentive when taking my orders. The food is so tasty and delicious, I normally order a chicken bowl but always get their spam musubi, so good. The also enjoy their macaroni salad, prepared very well with just the right ingredients. Whenever I'm craving Hawaiian BBQ, this is where I go!!

It's a small restaurant seating capacity around 20 never been here before and our first time. We ordered the Hawaiian Mix BBQ Platter for $17.19. Their marinade is not sweet but it was good to the taste. The BBQ Beef was awesome, some of the chicken was a little overcooked, the BBQ Ribs was also great. We passsed by this restaurant several times but never tried it. We ordered another BBQ Beef plate to go as it tasted good. That plate was $15.42.

The host immediately greeted us with a warm smile, explained that it was a full-service restaurant, and made us feel welcome right away. We were seated almost immediately, which was a great start to our visit. The food definitely lived up to the service. I ordered the chicken plate since I don't eat mammals, and it was flavorful, juicy, and cooked perfectly. My partner ordered the large beef rib. At first, he was surprised because the meat was served off the bone instead of on it, but after the first bite, that didn't matter anymore. The flavor was rich, the meat was incredibly tender, and it quickly became one of the highlights of the meal. One thing you shouldn't skip is trying the different BBQ sauces. They offer three varieties, and each brings something different to the table. My personal favorite was the original it complemented everything perfectly. If you're looking for delicious BBQ with genuinely welcoming service, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back.

Today I took my sister to introduce her to the best steak sandwich around. She started eating before me and said it was not that good. I'm looking at her like she's crazy as I put mayo and mustard on my Sammy. I take the first bite and notice this is NOT the flavor that I had before. Added a little salt and pepper thinking that will help. NOPE! Each bite was tough and loaded with gristle or inedible fat or something that I couldn't separate with my teeth. I'm pulling pieces apart and having to eat around the tough meat. I took the sandwich up to the register and asked them if they changed the cut of meat they use. They said no, it's always been either rib eye or NY. Every single one of the many I'd had before were the same. This one was different. Even looked different, as if it had been run through a machine in an attempt to tenderize it. Didn't work! You could see through some parts kind of like the way a knitted scarf would look If you stretched it out and could see the holes in it. Anyway, the guy said, "You must have got a tough cut" or "bad cut". I can't remember exactly the wording. But then he just shrugged me off. No offer to fix the problem. I was hungry, I hadn't had breakfast, and it was obvious the guy didnt care, so I just went back to my table and ate the rest of the bread and fixings while gnawing off any edible meat from my horrible steak. $26 for a sandwich and fries. Not willing to spend that much and hope I get a good cut of meat. I'm done.

I had to go to the bathroom and when I walked thru the restaurant there were a lot of empty tables. Odd that there would be a wait. There was a table for 4 near the front door, without a reserved sign on it, and it was empty the entire time we waited. We were finally seated and they put us at a table for two. Meanwhile, that table for 4 was still empty. I'm not sure if you've ever spent time with a 10 month old, but clearly the hostess hasn't. They are grabby and want to explore everything they can possibly get their hands on, including hot plates on a table. Luckily, our server knew this and when a large party in the restaurant left, she brought us one of the 2 person tables they'd been using. Fortunately it also aligned with when our food was coming out so we didn't have to worry about our baby burning her hands on the plates put down on our table with a "they're hot" warning. The kitchen was really slow. I'm not sure if they were backed up, but with the amount of empty tables, they really shouldn't have been. It took at least 20 minutes for us to get our appetizer after we ordered it, which was the chile verde fries. Luckily, all of the food made up for the previous paragraphs and is the reason for 4 stars instead of 3. The Chile verde fries were so good! Not too spicy, a great balance of fries, meat, sauce, and cheese. The egg was a nice touch and made the dish feel like chilequilles with fries instead of chips. We also ordered a 3 meat plate with pulled pork, brisket, and tri tip. The pulled pork was pretty standard. The brisket was falling apart delicious and I liked that it didn't have a ton of fat in it. It was interesting that the tri tip had grill marks on it, I don't think I've ever seen that before, but it was very soft and delicious as well. For our sides we got the collard greens and mac and cheese. The collards were very high in vinegar, something we aren't used to, but my husband enjoyed them. The mac and cheese was really good! You can tell they use fresh cheeses as opposed to velveta. The garlic bread was good and really flavorful, but I do wonder why other tables around us seemed to get 2 slices per person and we got 2 slices total. Not a big deal tho, just found it odd. Overall, we really liked Steve's and will be back, as well as recommend it to people. We'll just make sure to have a reservation before we go, and maybe make it for a party of 4 to ensure we get a good sized table.

I think it could feed *at least* 5-6. I would def recommend if ya'll can agree on the sides. I love Mac n cheese, I mean who doesn't, but if you're that one weirdo than opt for something else. The Mac isn't the best I've had but it's worth a try. The meats are delicious, except for the chicken. For some reason I wasn't really impressed with the chicken. Service was pretty good and easy parking in the back. After lunch or dinner take a stroll in uptown and check out the shops. Overall Steve's is solid and I'll go back.

My family of four chose the $39 Choice option, and it was absolutely worth it. We've been to many K-BBQ restaurants, but this is easily the best we've tried. The brisket had the perfect thickness and marbling, the pork jowl was juicy without being too rich, and the seasoned short ribs were incredibly tender and flavorful--better than any we've had elsewhere. I just hope it doesn't become so popular that it gets impossible to get a table. The quality of the meat here is SUPERB. Honestly, I'd give them 5 stars for the meat alone. Compared to other AYCE Korean BBQ places in the area, the quality really stands out. They also have a huge selection of side dishes, and everything we tried was delicious and well-seasoned. And the cowboy butter is an absolute MUST TRY! Trust me on this one. My pictures will speak for themselves! Service was excellent from beginning to end. The staff was attentive without hovering, our grill was checked frequently and replaced before we even had to ask, and everything came out clean and neatly presented. Another thing I have to mention: the floors are NOT sticky! This is seriously one of my biggest pet peeves with Korean BBQ restaurants, and this place is noticeably clean and well-kept. One small thing to know, there are no free refills on soda. But they do have a soft-serve station, which is the perfect way to finish off a flavorful and very satisfying dinner. Amazing meat quality, generous selection, excellent service, and a clean restaurant. Definitely one of my favorite AYCE Korean BBQ finds in the area. I almost don't want everyone to know about it BUT they deserve the 5 stars!

Ordered the kalbi BBQ plate with rice and mac salad, plus an extra mac because I usually like 2 mac + 1 rice. Definitely not how Hawaiian mac salad should taste, and I was even more annoyed that I paid for extra. The kalbi was decent but got way too fatty as I ate. I was happy they topped it with green onions (flavor was good) 7/10. They also didn't have a teriyaki/soy glaze or house brown sauce, which was disappointing.
