We wanted to order takeout, and it was a little tricky trying to figure out the menu and delivery in English, but we called on the phone and they were super helpful and accommodating- they answered all of our questions thoroughly and were friendly. They'll check on allergens for you and even honor your requests (for less spicy or an allergy notification) in the comments on a delivery app order- where many restaurants don't even let you put a single comment in these days. It's not cheap but not super expensive either- and the quality is aces, so well worth the price. Standouts to order: Salt and Pepper chicken (which for some reason is in its own section on the delivery app, not with chicken, so look for it), fried fish, won ton, bok choi with mushroom- but everything we had there was delicious and we can't wait to try more dishes. For locals: they have a fried fish dish that is very similar to the twice cooked fish at NE Chinese- but this one has peanuts and different vegetables (more variety, cut smaller) and maybe a little bit more mouth numbing spices and a tad more complexity. I love the one at NE so much and order it so often that my dining companion was actually shocked when I whispered "I think i like this even better than NE..." But it really is THAT good! One of my favorite things to find in Columbus is when a restaurant lives up to its five star rating. Oh boy - this place is something special and I plan on coming back to try the remainder of the menu. The noodles in the beef spicy beef soup were cooked so perfectly and the beef was silky smooth. Broth was swimming in spices and had the perfect amount of heat. The rice was sticky and paired nicely with all of the sauces from the assorted chicken we got. The portions are huge and Kung pao chicken was some of the best I've ever had. The orange chicken was super crispy and had a nice sweetness while the popcorn chicken was cooked nicely and had a great spice pallet. The dumplings were something else - swimming in spicy broth. Oh boy - the water refills were plentiful with this meal and we walked out of there with three huge containers to take with us. We will definitely be seeing you all again soon! read more

I've never had Szechuan food so I was excited to try this out. We ordered their wontons, Mapo Tofu, and Kung Pao Chicken. We forgot to ask for a time so we just drove their and decided if it wasn't ready, we could just sit in the car and wait. It was about 15 minutes from our apartment and they were ready when we got there! I was a huge fan of their spice level. It was nice and spicy with plenty of dried chilies and peppercorns. (Those who don't like spice can probably ask to omit these!) The Mapo Tofu was incredibly rich and delicious. The Kung Pao Chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful. This all lasted my partner and I a good 3 meals together (6 meals combined). They also reheated really well! We're definitely coming back the next time we crave Szechuan food. I was impressed! Friday night my husband and I decided to try this place. We go go the Kenny Center all the time and have seen this restaurant. Tonight we had a take out order which was Chongqing spicy popcorn chicken and numling spicy boiled fish. Both are very good! By far the best Szechuan style chicken I've tried in the town. The boiled fish is also great! They gave you lots of food. I think one dish can feed 2-3 people. I'm glad there's more authentic food in the town and it tastes great. Highly recommended! read more

Came here with group and reviews among us were very mixed. First thing I'll say is that servers are friendly and everybody is accommodating. The food all kind of came out in bits over the course of ten minutes which was a little annoying. Portions are quite large so you could reasonably get away with one entree for two, or one entree plus one appetizer for 2. I got the popcorn chicken which seems to be the most popular item on the menu. Me and one other person in my group got it and really liked it. Definitely is as spicy as it looks but very good flavor. Only downside is that it is a dry rub so it kind of needs a sauce to really be mixed in with the rice. And both this entree and really most of their entrees don't really come with any real amount of veggies. Other things I tried were the kung pao chicken which was mildly spicy but pretty good flavor. Again could definitely use more veggies. Pot stickers were what you would expect. Didn't try the orange chicken so can't personally comment but somebody in my group got it and was underwhelmed. And as noted in other reviews, vegetarian options are limited. However I would guess that if you asked for a tofu substitute on many of their menu options they could accommodate this. Overall definitely worth a try if you like Szechuan. Just would like more veggies in some of the dishes and maybe a more robust vegetarian selection. read more

Chilispot doesn't just throw a shit ton of chili's at the dish but I can really taste the entire dish and the chili's brings the flavors out more. I really loved the Szechuan Wontons, I've had them else where as well. The Szechuan Clams were really good. However, they were the smallest clams I e ever seen. There were a ton of those small things though. The smaller clams or mussels are just very difficult to eat and the protein itself was smaller than a dime. So invest in larger clams.
