My pals and I visited Chill n Grill last Saturday and had a great experience for several reasons: 1. the owner, Sheila, was so nice on the phone when we made reservations 2. the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we got a great table! 3. our waiter was very attentive and knowledgable about our menu questions 4. the food was served quickly and was excellent....most of the group had the shrimp and grits with andouille sausage and it was creamy and spicy and delish....i had the beef brisket w/ collard greens which were great! the greens were sautéed in a buttery sauce and the beef was perfect We'll definitely be going back! read more

Food here is good. The service was ok. Took longer than usually to get our food. The inside was hot. Everyone was clearly uncomfortable, using our menu as a fan. When we mentioned it to our server he said it's an old building and they lease, so they can't control it. He did bring a fan close to our table. Helped a little. We won't return. read more

Ok... we moved to Sebastian in May 2018. Been trying to get here but always busy and closed when you want to go. They don't take reservations. We tried one Saturday night to go and we got in. It doesn't get busy until after 6. At first, not impressed. But once we sat down, we had a good waiter. At first he didn't have a sense of humor and acted like a robot. As the night went on he knew what we wanted before we asked. By the end of dinner we were joking. Great food. Got the ossobucco and the shrimp and crab cake pasta. You cannot sit where there are menus but at the same time you cannot make reservations. read more

So excited to be going back to one of our favorites after this pandemic! All of the servers wear masks and there is a fan to stir the air. The food was even better than we remembered. Crispy Duck Wings to start and the MOST delicious Shrimp and Grits. The Crab Cakes were mostly crab and and exquisite. We love, love, love this place! The food is spectacular and the service exceptional. Their duck wing appetizer and wedge salad are our favorites, but they keep coming up with delicious new stuff! We just tried the roasted olive appetizer which was amazing! Wonderfully seasoned olives with a whole head of roasted garlic and yummy pita triangles, perfection! Every dish was up to the standard we expect, delicious, nicely presented, hot and fragrant! The atmosphere is always welcoming and so homey and the servers so friendly. We love it when the visitors head north and we locals can get a table right away. Love this establishment! We had beet salad with goat cheese, rib eye with truffle fries, brisket with collards, mac'n'cheese andouille, and key lime pie (truly home made). Everything spot on. Visiting Vero Beach and my friend brought me here to have dinner. The food was DIVINE. All the appetizers, entries, deserts were out of this world. The server knew what to recommend. Wow! The Crab Mac& Cheese was some of the best I've ever had in my life. The truffle parm French fries were finger licking good. I had a fresh expertly prepared snapper with mango salsa. My friend had the short ribs which were insanely good. The shrimp and grits was also really creamy and tasty. Our peanut butter chocolate chip pie was silky smooth. I recommend this place if you enjoy well cooked quality food. The owner is so welcoming and kind. Please support small businesses whenever possible. The name is goofy at best. The food is really good. It's pretty damn full as a great restaurant should be. Creative kitchen, a wide range of foods, from well inland to the deep ocean. We really enjoyed our meal, the only thing that could have been better was our server. The other servers were on top of things. But ours was too chatty to other tables. It may sound like I'm being picky, but we heard him talking away about himself, multiple times to people. When you haven't even been greeted by your server, wondering if you're invisible it becomes a problem. The food is Awesome here, definitely worth the stop. read more

We tried this place for the first time. It is a quaint family operated little restaurant. The decor and ambience was nice, casual. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food we got was excellent, pene pesto with chicken. Alot of the choices are blackened or otherwise spiced because they are Cajun dishes. All sound good but I'm afraid it will be too hot for me. First timer at Chill&Grill, loved it all. Great atmosphere and very helpful staff. Our server was very attentive and checked on us constantly. Small menu with great offerings, calamari sticks were an awesome treat with Thai chili sauce, the beef brisket was incredibly tender on collard greens and mac&cheese, the meal ended with the peanut butter pie, which is worth every calorie and so yummy. I thoroughly enjoyed my night out and will return many more times. By the way, my adult son got the ranch ribeye which was so tasty and well prepared, beautifully seared. We've been meaning to try Chill and Grill for quite a while and wish that we did sooner! The atmosphere is warm, casual, clean and upbeat. Service was very good. Food was the star though. Started with Calamari Fries .... not knowing what to expect. The Calamari was in the shape of a French Fry, crispy but not greasy at all and just plain delicious. My wife had the fish of the day, snapper and said it was excellent. I went with shrimp and Grits and found the portion right on and the flavors really really good. Others have said it, but it is true, so it bears repeating--this place is a gem. We're treated like regulars, though we've only been a few times. The tables are nice, but we prefer the bar. More opportunity to chat with the bartender, who is charming and friendly, as well as other diners. We gravitate toward the specials, and tonight was no different. The flatbread special app was perfect for sharing, not too filling, but just enough to slow down a big appetite after a hectic work week. The app was a light, crackery base topped with feta, pesto, sun-drieds, chicken and a balsamic glaze drizzle. Our entrees were also on the specials board. He had the bacon-wrapped filet--two nice-sized medallions, wrapped in very tasty thick-cut bacon, and topped with blue cheese. Sides were smashed baby red potatoes (which were not skimpy on the crispy skin, glossy with butter, and sprinkled with fresh rosemary) as well as grilled asparagus spears. My main was a grilled ribeye, which was absolutely luscious, served with the same grilled asparagus, and truffle fries. If I am being completely honest, the truffle part of those fries was unnoticeable, but they were the perfect combination of shatteringly crisp on the outside and tender-soft on the inside. We paired our meals with locally brewed lager for him and porter for me. It's a smallish restaurant, which lends itself to cozy seating, but also a clientele that doesn't mind that--we all sang happy birthday to the larger party as the cake and candles appeared. It's a pricey night out for this bank account, but worth it for the quality and the atmosphere. For us, it's a special treat; if it were in the budget, it would be a Friday night standard. read more

We eat at the chill grill all the time. We live around the corner. What's up that they don't take to go orders over the phone anymore? So weird. You have to go there to place your order, and wait! I'm updating with a recent experience. I had the steak special with asparagus and smashed potatoes. The steak was like shoe leather. I chewed and chewed and chewed it, to only have to spit out half the steak. I gave up. Very expensive meal to throw it in the garbage. My husband felt bad for me, as I was starving. I never would have believed I would get a bad meal here. My hubs wanted to go back and get me another dinner. I wouldn't let him. But I should have. As we spend a lot of money at this resturant. Never order a special. It must have been some left over meat they couldn't get rid of. I'm kind of mad at the chill grill. I won't eat here for a while. Stick with what you know. Don't order the steak "SPECIAL". Unless you like eating a shoe. The asparagus and smashed potatoes was good. read more

Drove up from Vero Beach because of the raving reviews... and it was worth it. We both ordered off of the specials menu because our waiter said they went fast, and by the time we were done eating at 7, they were out of almost every item. The Pork Shank was the best pork I've tasted in my entire life. My wife ordered the Filet and it was good, not great. Too charred to get the internal to a medium center. Sides were fantastic. My family ate here for our last night in Vero Beach and we are so glad we chose Chill and Grill for dinner. Amy our waitress was attentive and so personable. The owner Csilla checked in on us often and even shared a little treat with us, calamari! The entrées we absolutely divine. Ribeye, salmon, shrimp and grits, and Mac and cheese all cooked to perfection. To top it all off, the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Pie was served to us as dessert, for my wife's birthday and we all dined with smiles. We visited Chill Grill on a Tuesday night and they were packed. The owner greeted us at the door and saw we had teens that were hungry. The owner was AMAZING - she's probably the nicest owner operator we have ever met! We had the appetizers, crab cakes, onion rings, and Pork Nachos and I highly recommend all of them. The food was great, and the braised pork shank was fall off the bone and delicious, the service was great, and the hospitality was off the scale!!! This establishment is among the finest we have here in Florida. The atmosphere is truly unique, with a very relaxed, "Chill" vibe, yet delivering elegance and class. We had an absolutely amazing experience again tonight for the 3rd time visiting Chill & Grill. The food is beyond incredibly delicious! The flavor combinations are out of this world - like nothing I've ever tasted before. It's almost indescribable. I've tried the beef brisket and the short ribs previously, which were both exquisite! I've also sampled my boyfriend's pork shank, which was remarkable as well. Tonight, I tried the cattlemans ribeye as I couldn't resist with the mouthwatering description of the process in which it was prepared. It was cooked to absolute perfection. Paired with the parmesan truffle fries and the zucchini, this meal was impressive, as have been the others. For the appetizer, we've opted for the calamari fries on all three occasions. As a native Floridian and seafood aficionado, I can attest to the fact that the calamari is the best I've ever had. Each and every time, our experience has been nothing short of fantastic. What truly makes this place so special (in addition to the obviously spectacular dishes) is the family that owns and operates it. Everyone from the hostess to the chef has been very attentive as well as warm and personable. Cullen, the bartender is right on top of things (as is everyone) and is very hospitable and friendly throughout our meal. When we arrived tonight, we were promptly greeted by the hostsess and owner herself as we have been each time. We had an approximately 2-3 minute wait before a table was available, which is surprising as you can anticipate a 30+ minute wait at most decent restaurants (esp. since Covid). The best ones are busy for a reason! Something that was particularly notable was that the owner was very welcoming and apologetic for the 2-3 min wait! She even offered to lend me her shawl as it was a bit cool outside while we waited for our table for a few minutes. That was above and beyond! Shelia was awesome from the time we rolled into the parking lot (came out to tell us they were at 50%) and offered drinks brought to the vehicle. When we got to our table, Taylor waited on us & he was awesome. Great recommendations - the shrimp & grits were KILLER! Hubs had the short ribs, friends had the tenderloins-all amazing.
