Went there for my birthday with 6 adults and 3 kids. We made a reservation and were seated as soon as we arrived. We each ordered something different and everyone was very pleased with our food. The only left overs were from the kids plates. As stated by many others, the prices are a bit on the high side but the service was great, the food was awesome and we had room to enjoy ourselves with an enjoyable atmosphere. If you take kids, they don't have a printed kids menu but they have kid's plates that the wait staff can tell you about. The chicken tenders were huge! Some notables from the adult plates: cheese bowls for the salads (Oh my goodness - delicious), medallion trio (bigger than they look on first glance - small diameter bit thicker and perfectly cooked medium rare with three unique toppings), Chillfire chicken plate (breast with cheese and ham topping), vegetable medley and cabbage sides (yummy and seasoned just right), key lime pie and chocolate cake (wow!). Still the Best in Denver. Had to drop off my card for regular scheduled maintainance and since it will take most of the day, dropped it off this evening and will pick it up tomorrow afternoon. Been awhile since we have dined here and it is on the way home, decided to have dinner at Chillfire. Actually it was not decided but mandated by my wife who said that if she was going to have to pick me up and drive my home, she was going to have dinner at Chillfire. Had made early reservations for 5:30 and arrived a few minutes early and were promptly seated. Restaurant is still spacious and beautiful. Only problem I had was the hostess wanted to seat us at a table where the sun was right in my eyes and I had trouble explaining why I did not want that table. In any case, were promptly seated and drink ordered taken, menu's presented and specials explained. I started with a shrimp cocktail while was very good although a bit different. Expected something more traditional but the offering was a delight to the taste buds with a bit of heat. For her entree, my wife ordered theTournedos Wellington which is essentially a disassemble Beef Wellington while I had the Seared Jumbo Scallops BLT with the tomoto being a green tomato to give a bit of a Southern Contrast. The only thing I can say was that dinner was excellent and we will be back again in the near future. Not sure why it's been so long since we were here but it won't happen again. read more

I was turned onto this place when my parents and I were deciding where to go eat for the night. It was down to two restaurants, and since we were going to eat at the other restaurant the next night. Angry lobster nothing special. It's lobster. It's battered with a light flavoring (I could barely taste anything). It's fried. The price? Makes sense, I mean it's lobster. It was served with a honey mustard dipping sauce, which was good. Let's go to the entrées. I was absolutely torn between the lobster Mac and cheese and the pot roast, so I did what any amazing yelper would do... Order both and report back. My mother ordered the sea bass and my father the venison. (Both were specials so don't think you can get these any night!) My verdict? This is my order from best to worst. I'll also give reasons why. 1. Venison - this was by far the best in my honest opinion. It was extremely tender and fell off the bone. It was sort of cooked in a roast type of way and the sauce was great. The only problem is that this dish isn't available everyday. Daily specials... How we wish they just served them always. 2. Pot roast - the pot roast was great. It was served on a bed of mash potatoes and was very hearty. It was a great dish to eat especially in the winter. It was flavorful, and the mash potatoes finished my appetite off. 3. Lobster Mac and Cheese - this dish was a pretty big let down. Maybe I just don't do well with baked Mac and Cheese? It had no flavor, considering they have three cheeses in the dish. The dish was dry with some lobster pieces. I guess that's how baked Mac and Cheese is supposed to be? Anyways, it didn't have any taste and that isn't like what Mac and Cheese is supposed to be like. 4. Sea bass - the sea bass, also a special... And the worst dish of the night. I believe a dish should stand well by itself, and no extras needs to be added. I believe my mother added a copious amount of salt and pepper to even have any flavor. I tried a bite and it was true, even the sauce lacked in any type of flavor. This is a dish you won't be able to get, so I'm not going to keep droning on how this dish was just 'meh'. Overall, my experience was good at Chillfire. The fire was fake, but the atmosphere was chill! The waiter was polite, minus the one instance where a waiter who served the angry lobsters and placed it on the far table away from us and then just left, I thought our main waiter was very helpful and well, chill. I probably won't come back, but it's a place to try out. (Just for the pot roast though!) read more

One of the best things I ate the entire weekend visit. 5 stars - Fried green tomato sandwich: loved the crispy textured breaded slightly tart green tomato, bacon, and fresh 9 grain bread combo. Unique and delicious. 4.5 stars - Pork schnitzel: hub's order. Not fried like anticipated but oh so tender and with a tasty gravy. 4 stars. - Sides: you get to pick one with each entree. Fries solo were great. - Key lime pie: right amount of sweetness and tartness, crumbled graham cracker crust, and a blow torched meringue on top. 4.5 stars - Wine list: decent list and very affordable bottle prices (a lot more for the same bottle in California) plus half price bottles on Mondays is a steal. - Atmosphere: upscale yet comfortable Midlights: - Mac and cheese: bit too truffly tasting for me and I prefer smaller, less al dente noodles and a cheesier sauce. 3 stars Lowlights: - No printed kids menu and bit limited as a fancier place Fully enjoyed eating here and I'd be happy to return on my next visit. read more

The service was great and the staff seemed friendly. But the food was... Disappointing, to say the least. I got the ribeye steak and it had literally no flavor. I didn't know that was possible with a ribeye, but apparently it is. I thought I was going crazy, so my girlfriend tried it, and said the same thing. If you're going there, I would recommend something other than the steak. My girlfriend got the Mountain fish (I think that's what it was called) and it had more flavor than the steak. read more

Decided to give it a second try after the first time was pretty bad. The restaurant was slow due to the "hurricane". The server only had 3 tables but couldn't manage to keep a drink glass full. It took 20 minutes to get my first alcoholic beverage. I got French onion soup which was served luke warm. I did like the Shanghai shrimp appetizer, best part of the whole meal. To me, this place is overpriced for what you receive. I can go spend half of what I spent here and get bigger portions, better service and hot food. read more

Where do I start? Baby rack ribs for $25 that look like they came off a Chihuahua instead of a pig. Absolutely ridiculous. The Caesar salad in a cheese bowl...is the cheese bowl supposed to be stale? Horrible. And a gift card that they take 20% off for some reason, WTF? $162 total bill, They were given a $25 GC and a $50 GC and they took only $5 off the bill! The ribs of a chihuahua and the ineptness on the billing are a joke. And for birthdays...Chillfire doesn't do shit. When I made a reservation I told them it was my son's birthday..news to my server. Of course, all their meal are cooked lime heavenly, and you can't go wrong with anything you choose. Just bring extra belly. Chillfire is such a welcome addition to Denver. They are the most upscale restaurant we have, but certainly not stuffy...just good food in a nice atmosphere. The bar area is a very happening place, and the restaurant itself is very large and can accommodate your large party. The food is consistently delicious, and the menu does change to occasionally to keep things fresh. This restaurant group is part of the Epic/Webbs Kitchen crew, so they clearly know how to run a successful restaurant. Service is always top notch, and they offer free valet so no parking woes. This is my favorite Denver spot. read more

We've eaten at Chillfire Grill 2-3 times a year for several years, the food and service have always been great. We ate there last night and I had the Prime Rib and my wife the Southport. We both agreed the food was exceptional. Our server was Scott and his service was exceptional as well. In fact we got a Creme Burlee' to go and just had it, it is delicious! We've been coming to Chillfire for about a year now, and have always had a positive experience. The wait staff are all amazing... on this visit, Rachel was our waitress, and was phenomenal. She took care of our drinks quickly, briefed us on the specials, and checked in on us regularly. We often bring guests from out of town here for a nice meal. It's a great place - don't let the shopping plaza feel deceive you. This is a great restaurant with amazing food and well trained staff. Been coming for years but not happy w sunday's brunch . I-Was disappointed in your Panzanella salad. Please look up what a panzanella salad is. What is on your menu is nothing even remotely like it should be. We had a noon reservation and were told " we have a lot of walk ins. You have to wait a bit." Is the point of a reservation is a table should be ready ? Or with " walk ins " seated ,and a reservation has to wait. read more
