We have had our chimney cleaned out several times by what I thought were "good" chimney sweep companies. I never felt the jobs were thoroughly performed until Isaac came to our home and cleaned out our fireplace. We had burned over a cord of wood every year for almost 30 years and now we wanted to convert to a gas log system. Isaac did an amazing job cleaning and explaining everything he needed to do and was very careful with our furnishings, area rugs and wood floors. He went on the roof and after cleaning from the top as well, he informed me that our chimney cap was not the right size and was not in good shape. He brought it down to show me and I agreed with his assesment. He told me he would fabricate a new one and come back in about a week to install it. Since we were new to gas logs, I had no idea how to proceed or where to go to buy the product. He gave me the name of a very popular brand and I picked out a size and style that I liked best. He advised me on how to proceed with the purchase and I let him know when the gas log kit arrived at our house. He came back a few days later and installed it all. Each of the 3 times Isaac came to our home he was polite, professional and very focused on his tasks. I am happy to write this review for those looking for an honest, thorough and professional person to allow in to their home for the services this company provides. The short of it is this business no showed for two appointments and behaved incredibly unprofessionally. The owner of Chimney Professionals has been one of the least professional business owners I have interacted with. I had an appointment in early November and the technician cancelled due to earlier jobs going late. As requested by the owner, I called in to reschedule an appointment and was told there was no availability under after the holidays. Given the circumstances, I requested that they accommodate us with an earlier time. The owner talked down to me the whole time and said "we aren't the type of business to just give you an appointment and then have to cancel it" which was incredibly ironic given the context. Finally he agreed to come on one of the last business days before the holidays. On the day agreed upon, I called to confirm and left a voicemail. I called multiple other times and went straight to voicemail throughout the day. A few minutes later, when my wife called from a different number, her call was immediately answered where she found out that the business again would not show up to their appointment. The business owner talks down to his clients and doesn't value his potential clients time. He was rude to me during both of our interactions. I will happily take my business elsewhere. read more

I talked to him on the phone along with 2 other chimney companies and explained our situation and that our fireplace hadn't been cleaned in 8 yrs and we didn't know what was needed. He told me that a level 2 inspection/cleaning might be needed but he wasn't sure until he saw it. When he got here, he very confidently told me me only needed a level 1 inspection which was over $100 less than originally quoted and he explained why.
