I decided to try this restaurant because I was picking up the food and it was close to our house. Their website said that if you ordered online that you would a 10% discount for any order over $50, so we did. When I picked up the food, I noticed that there was $7.00 added on for a tip, which they said I added on when I placed the order, and I never did. They also added on a $1.00 service charge, for what I don't know. When I brought this up to the restaurant, the said it was the website's fault, whatever that means. I ordered cashew chicken and there were no cashews. When I mentioned this to the restaurant, they said that they only put a few on top. The vegetables was soft and soggy, the soup had way too much pepper, and the sauces were awful. In all, the food was terrible and I will never go back. read more

Can we all say "YUM!" I first heard about how good the food was at China 8 about a year ago and i finally checked them out a few months back. Since then, I've ordered from them quite regularly. The menu offers a wide variety of options, the portion sizes are more than enough for what you pay for and the food tastes great. Yesterday was my first visit to this store. I didn't know it was in this shopping center, although I shop at stores nearby all the time. It's strange how we might focus, and miss something that can be very good. We were a table of six (I thought of the movie With Six you get Egg Roll). Lot's of food, all good and very tasty. My favorite: Sweet and Sour Pork, but it was all so good. The store is clean, the workers very friendly and prompt. I immediately knew I would be returning. The store is more similar to a family week night restaurant rather than a showy 'out for the evening' type of place. It fits well with my personal tastes. The food here speaks for itself. If you don't like spicy Kung Pao with real Szechuan pepper, don't order it. It was hot and I ate every bite of it. Still trying to find good Chinese food in the desert. The lunch menu was inexpensive so I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was less than ideal and the service was not great. I tried the War Wonton Soup for only $6.50 on the lunch menu. It was okay but not great it was full of shrimp, pork, chicken, vegetables and wonton. Ok Despite reading countless crappy reviews I thought I would try myself. Here is what we had: 1 hot & sour soup. Good 2 wanton soup. Below average 3 pork fried dumplings. Pre-made wanton wrappers molded and deep fried. Total waste of calories. Not bad, but not good either 4 kung pao chicken. This was poor. Way to much garlic, too many onions (I did ask for no green peppers and got none) and a flavor like I've never had before. Not in a good way. PRE-COVID REVIEW: My mom LOVES this place! Whenever she's craving Chinese food we always come to China 8. I agree with all of the other reviews regarding their portions and the pricing. They give a lot of food at a great price! Very affordable, delicious food. I've always enjoyed all the dishes I've ordered from here. First time frequenting this restaurant, and I ordered a large take out order for a large dinner gathering: shrimp fried rice, shrimp egg foo young, orange chicken with fried rice, fried chicken wings, fried dumplings, egg rolls X2, fried shrimp, teriyaki chicken with fried rice, and chicken lo mein noodles. Food was tasteless. Teriyaki chicken tastes nothing like teriyaki and it had 10x more onions than chicken. Weird! Never had teriyaki with onions. The orange chicken tasted and looked nothing like orange chicken. Great disappointment in flavor, appearance, texture (tough chicken). Chicken lo mein noodles were also extremely bland with peculiar flavor. The shrimp weren't even fried in the egg foo young; the shrimp were just placed on top. I do not recommend this restaurant. I hate leaving a poor review when so many places are struggling but it's my first time ordering from here, and will be my last. I ordered the pork appetizer. I should have known better. This must be the more traditional way of serving it as most SoCal Chinese restaurants serve it this way. I was hoping for pork with seeds/ ketchup/hot mustard. Totally fine- probably tastes good to those who like it this way- just not my thing. My main course was Mongolian beef with pork fried rice. I could barely handle the Mongolian beef texture in my mouth- it was wayyy too soft. It reminded me of canned meat and looks nothing like the picture in the menu. I couldn't eat it at all. When I need something salty and greasy, this is the place! My go to is the pork egg fu young. Man, it is good. The egg patties are thick and full of vegetables. They are perfectly cooked. They are smothered in a thick brown gravy and a ton of roasted pork. This is enough food for two, easily. I do like their hot and sour soup. Theirs is the best in the valley. They have a seafood noodle soup that is classic Chinese. Light, fresh vegetables, perfectly cooked, enough protein to accent but not overpower. The place is not, however, all that interesting to look at. They have booths and tables. The decor is dated. Tables have been wiped so many times that they are starting to get down to the wood. I ordered from here for take out and it was a super easy menu / process. The food was ready early even though they were very busy when I came by to pick up. The portions are very generous! I ordered for 2 but we could have probably fed 4 with the amount that came in the couple of plates I ordered. The steamed dumplings were really tasty. This restaurant was horrible. I tried it out since it is a family business. The staff was rude. The food was overcooked and drowned in sauce. I asked for water, then napkins. The busboy was lazy and had to ask his boss if he could give me more than 2 little paper napkins. He just kept bringing 2. I was trying to soak out the sauce.
